I used to enjoy coming to this bakery, the quality was great, the pastries were exquisite but more recently I have visited and have faced rude customer service. Waiting to be served as well as being served by rude cashiers is not welcoming. Employee revamp is very necessary. The speciality orders for birthday and celebration cakes was taken online by a very kind professional person however coming to the bakery is a different story.

Disappointing!! I chose this bakery after reading the reviews, but was very disappointed. I bought a small buttercream icing birthday cake for my 1 year old. There was an insane amount of butter icing on it. That tiny cake had 3 layers of 2 cm thick icing inside.. The cake slices inside were very thin. We ended up throwing it away as it would have made us sick. Also, the cream inside the cannolis was sour. Bad experience. Won't go back.

I had the sfogliatelli and the Potuguese natas (with hazelnut chocolate spread). Both exceeded my expectations! I loved the creamy custard and flaky pastry in sfogliatelli. And the nutella is an excellent addition to the traditional Portuguese egg tart! Highly recommend this place. I absolutely loved the white box and ribbon they put my pastries in, but for time and environmental sake, I'll ask for the paper sack next time.

It's a little out of my way, and with an excellent pastry shop next door (Les Delices Lafrenaie, formerly Luigi's Bakery), I didn't have a chance to try any of their wares except for their ricotta chocolate chip canoli. Crunchy shell with a creamy ricotta cheese filling. Very good.

We often buy our cakes, pastries there. It is usually good. However, I do not recommend the pieces of cakes sold next to the cash machines. I bought a couple last night, opened the saranwrap this morning and found many small spots full of mushrooms. So my appreciation for their products has changed. Also, the girls working there need to have a training on how to serve the clients. Smile, be nice, be helpful, answer questions with knowledge and interest. Everytime it seems as if you are bothering them. I am now willing to drive to Verdun and try their boulangeries.

I’ve been many times here and enjoy there cakes however when I asked the employee to write happy bday on the cake they rolled there eyes at me and slid the cake on the counter. I’ve asked for it many times and had no issue but this incident left a bad taste in my mouth. In addition when the employee gave the cake to me at the cash she through it on the counter. Very unacceptable! I was buying cakes and cannolis for a long time! I did not rate you a one star because I know all the employees are not like that however it shouldn’t go unnoticed!

I love this pastry store but the only sad thing is that I bought a cake for my baby nephew and my aunt found a hair in her slice. At the moment nobody thought about taking a photo because it’s a birthday and we didn’t stop for that. So we threw away the first cake and cut down the second. I called the store and they said they can’t do anything about it because we have no proof and that “people call to make those lie up”. It’s really sad that they don’t wear anything to keep their hair away from the pastries or cake. Won’t be back anytime soon.

Seriously frustrated. I called to ask if a custom cake was possible for a certain date. im told to send an email, which I do. I getno reply so I call back and im told, don't worry well get back to you. Still no answer I call again the next day and now im told oh no we stopped taking orders since the week before. WHY wasn't this said before? I wouldn't of been upset had I been told ahead of time, instead I get told not to worry and I have to keep calling over and over to finally get an answer. I'm even wondering if I would've gotten one had I not kept calling. Its my own fault I should've stuck with my usual baker however this one had been recommended by a friend. Never again.

I've been going there for 15 years. Service has been bad the last few times I've been. Very very slow. Taking many orders and not completing any of them. Both times, the girls didn't know the difference between the different types of meats (salami, mortadella etc). The slices were also extremely thick. For 10 slices of salami,15 slices of mortadella and 2 paninis, I was there for over 20 min and they forgot my paninis... Will be going to fruiterie Dollard instead from now on for cold cuts. Tried it again on a Thursday evening. Great staff. MUCH better, super bright and flawless.

Asked the heavy set woman with messy blondish hair to wash her hands with soap before she touches any of my food. Gave me serious attitude and dirty looks. Loudly advised she uses gloves. I asked her once again to wash her hands with soap, and if a customer asks this to please abide by - considering we are in COVID time. She proceeded to gave me a dirty look and again advised she wears gloves (loudly, of course). She finally started washing her hands with soap, and making a big deal of it by inhaling/exhaling loudly to make sure I heard and know that she is not happy with my simple request. Rude and immature! At that point, I walked out of the store - not happy at all. In no way should anyone be so rude to a customer. She has zero reason to be working at this place serving customers. She is rude, arrogant, dirty hair (no net). This just makes me wonder if this woman gives customers a hard time with a simple request to wash hands with soap and water before touching anything that I will be purchasing, how are they actually handling the food in the back before it gets to the front to be sold. Fire this girl immediately. I am the wrong person to treat this way. I shop there almost every single day, who is very well known - I will never again walk into this store., nor will I ever let anyone I care about to walk into this establishment I am pretty sure this is her character and how she treats everyone that comes into her path. I feel sorry for her. Fire her - she's going to get you sued one day.

I had bought a whole slab tomato pizza two weeks ago and it was fabulous, Full of fresh pureed tomatoes and so fresh you could not hold it up. I went back today and the pizza was stale and there was no fresh tomato on the pizza. The tomato was dried up and not fresh at all. I called and spoke to a girl and explained my disappointment and all she said was sorry. I am so disappointed that I will not be going back and I will not recommend your bakery to family and friends. Very sad that I had to contribute with a review like this.

I bought cake at this place before and I was really satisfied and I also gave them a good review but a few months ago I bought a cake for my wedding and i told them it was really important for it to be perfect, I was very specific with the Colors and with the way I wanted the cake to look, they couldn’t even find me the cake toppers so I got that my self. The day of wedding I saw the Colors on the cake I was shocked and it was too late for anything to be done. We asked for very neutral pastel Colors and we got very bright neon Colors, instead it looking like a wedding cake it looked like a cake of 2 years old birthday.

The taste was average. Portion sizes for the tiramisu were horrific. The single-serving tiramisus was an oddly shaped little cup that could be eaten in four bites. The eclair was hard as can be. NOT WORTH THE PRICE.

I went there to order a photo cake no one asked for help there were 3-4 girls roaming around and staring at us felt like why did we even came to the store and then I asked for help to order cake, First that girl said I can’t take order it’s 6:30 and they close at 7. I told her it’s still half n hour left and I called before I came in so at least take my order. She took my order like she was in rush to go home I felt like why did I even came to this store at first place. I got my cake today and I was so upset after looking at it. Felt like someone just printed 4 by 6 photo and put it on the top of cake. I think I could have done it at home if you guys would have explained that’s how it’s going to look like. Ruined my day and night omg I would never go back again and I think no one should either.
