Loved it but if you have a sensitivity to mold it may be a place to avoid. I asked to have the room and AC unit cleansed due to a bad reaction I had and wasn’t taken seriously. Roll the dice with your health. Glad my contract was only a few months because any more restless nights of coughing up blood could have led to some serious repercussions. Shame on the staff for disregarding my concerns. Nice camp but shoddy management.

Regular mini rooms with bathrooms, although they are not your typical work camp. You order food from the extensive menu, it's not regular buffet style. You can pre-order lunch from extensive menu and lunch room is very well stocked. Bring your own water bottle, they have water coolers/filters and don't provide bottled water. For pop & juice they have only fountains, but they don't provide to go bottles. They provide boot covers, so you can walk around with your work boots on. Located in town. 3 washers and 3 dryers per hallway. Ability to move in from the back doors. Alcohol is allowed on premises, but only inside the bedrooms. Smoking is allowed at the back doors. A bit hectic room cleaning schedule, you never know when will your room be cleaned, towels & sheets changed. I think they do look into the rooms daily, so keep it clean ???? If I forgot anything - ask ????

Though I've only been here for a few days, it's been a great stay especially after long days of work, including being the first camp I've stayed at, while being this amazing is a great first experience. Amazing staff, and great cooks who work endlessly for the people staying, the snacks, food for lunch and dinner is great! The rooms are yes small, but comfortable with great showers A/C and with personal bathrooms is comfortable, the halls can be a long walk but that's expected from the high volume of people staying. The room service is amazing, being able to come to a bed already made just makes the experience so much better. Everything is cleaned, they're heavy when it comes to sanitary action from the people staying and how they treat their building which gives a great peice of mind. Thank you Civeo for being such an amazing welcoming and comfortable place

Rooms are cleaned frequently and the food is good so three stars to the cleaners and the cooks the rest is poor management. They did have a fire drill and the owner threatened to kick a whole bunch of us out of camp for not going to the muster point. Bus schedule is horrible.

Friendly staff, diverse menu, and multiple co-ed and women's only gyms. We had a power outage once and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure we had sufficient food to eat. Walking distance to multiple hiking trails and grocery stores. A good camp.

As of Feb 2019 this place is still only halfway built. I think it currently can sleep about 500. Should be 1200 by the time it's in full swing this year. Pros: new buildings. Private bathroom and shower in each room. Close to "downtown" Kitimat. Cons: lots of food options but quality is average. Dining hall is outside of main building - at least until later in the construction. No hot lunch and dining hall isn't even open at noon so if you are not on a normal schedule grab that bag lunch at breakfast.

It's comfortable enough, though the airport shuttle service is not reliable; I would have missed my flight if I didn't have another option other than the bus, which for some reason did not arrive at all. Also, the wi-fi is abysmal. Considering the number of anticipated guests, there should be suitable service to accommodate everyone.

It is a decent camp, rooms are nice and clean. It would be nice if they would provide shuttle service for people who fly Central Mountain Air to and from the Terrace airport. The receptionist tried to make it sound like it was my fault for not taking the other airline they cater to, no empathy whatsoever from her.

Maids are horribly loud when working around night shift rooms, lunches are not good, and the women's gym is a joke. Dining hall is quite good, front desk people are amazing, and the new rooms are great.

Had a snoring buddy on the other side of the room's wall...thin walls! And no shuttle bus service to get to the airport! Had to walk in the dark - 0500 am to get to the transit bus at Skeena Mall.

They don't provide detergent/dryer sheets for laundry. It costs $8 from the vending machine for the materials to do a load. Luckily the store is just a few minutes away. Seems like a pretty lame place to cut costs. I'd give 3 stars if they provided laundry consumables. Staff is friendly and the camp is clean. My bed is very squeeky but the mattress is comfortable. The camp is pretty old and definitely due for a renovation. Food is hit or miss. Meals can be amazing or not very good.

I think the food is fantastic. The kitchen staff work their butts off, and there's always something differen. Every night there is a buffet. three chef specials. and a huge menu to pick from. The lunch room has everything you'd need for a lunch to go. Rooms are tiny, but they're fine. The rooms are cleaned often.

This is an experience of a lifetime, I never thought I'd ever have a career as a janitor. Staying at Civeo Sitka Lodge is another new place for me to call home away from home. I met new friends from different places, I would not change this lifestyle for any other, I'm very grateful for the staff at the Sitka Lodge, its awesome to have met you all, love and prayers.

Update: they listen to suggestions and work hard to fix issues. Overall good, my main complaint is that the disposable spoons they use are designed in a weird way where I often accidentally cut the inside of my mouth when eating, not too painful, if you are hungry the spoons work.

Poorly laid out camp; whoever designed/built it, (more than likely a management decision though)should be fired. They should hand out segways to everyone to get around. Long outdoor walk to get from rooms to dining/TV areas; lots of fun in the great Kitimat winter season. No boot room(s). No shower facilities for flyday. Rooms are average, walls are paper thin. ( Enjoy your neighbour snoring) Staff were great, food was above average, lunchroom stock was average. It was very clean. Its a below average work camp, especially considering its brand new.

All sorts of unnecessary security rules at this camp. They post security guards at every entrance to tell you to take your hat off, put your hood down, take your jacket off. What for? I'm cold. What is the problem with me wearing a hat? Food is atrocious. Most people eat half their plates every night and throw the rest away in trash. Tons of food waste and yet they claim to be "environmentally responsible." Coffee is disgusting. Civeo camps are garbage.

The rooms are ok, when you have a private room. Food is good, however after 6 weeks you long for something different. The worst however is the noise, the walls are paper thin. When your next door neighbour watches television, or makes a phone call, it seems like he is sitting in the same room with you. This might be different if the setup of the rooms would be different, no connecting bedrooms, but bathroom against bedroom. Or just proper insulation.

Mold everywhere! under the ac units, in the windows, in the vents! place is a health Hazzard. No drinking water whatsoever, no pop, no juice. You want something to drink, even water? you have to walk to the save on. Rooms are tiny, and if you have a hoddie or a pair of pants on the bed your room won't get cleaned due to "clutter". Towels rarely get changed. Food selection for lunches is pretty minimal. Security guards are on a power trip! 10/10 would never go back
