This place holds a special place in my heart after so many years on Balsam Lake. One of the only bars in the area...it’s not a bad spot for a drink but the food really needs some work. I’d stay away from the BBQ and stick with the basics (burgers and wings).

It looks shabby from the outside. Not at all what I expected inside. People bring their families and conversations are lively. Large, spacious, clean... Every so often they sponsor oil painting classes on a Saturday night for $50. That gets your first drink and supplies to paint. You can see some of the paintings around on the walls. Nice.

This small home town bar has its charms with a very cool stage live music some times wing night cheep drinks and a pool table the seating is comfortable and there warm and welcoming there is parking in the back and parking along the street at the front but most people park in the bank parking lot when there is a over load in the summer time there are steps at the front and a small ramp at the back but mite be a challenge for people in wheel chairs the bathrooms are clean and the food is good my fav time is ceaser Sundays MMM good

Well its Labor Day long weekend nice sunny afternoon. Walked into this place with my husband and Was REFUSED a seat on the patio Was told no room but you can sit in a booth tucked in the corner where the pool tables are???? The place wasnt even full. So I left walked around to the patio in the back and there was 2 not 1 but 2 completely empty picnic tables and a totally empty stand up bar. ????.. WOW!!!! Is all i will say....and it was worth the drive to Fenelon falls to Murphys Lockside Pub & PATIO!!!! BTW I wasnt refused a patio seat. Lol I wouldnt waste my time in Coboconk Pattie House. Fenelon has Much more to offer and variety NOT just a booth in the corner. Thanks pattie house for the cold experience. Thanks Tracy & Rich

As part of the beautiful Trent Severn Waterway, Coboconk is a busy summer hub and a main stop for cottagers as well as campers at Balsam Lake Provincial Park. At the centre of town is the 140 year old ‘Pattie House’ property. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere inside or on the back patio. Clean rest rooms. The smiling staff are local and very hospitable. I’m told the new owner is a trained chef himself with a long history of the restaurant sector and the cottage industry. They do have a wide assortment of grilled/bbq meat/veggie options and the coldest beer on the lake. Maple bacon wings are very popular among the regulars. And for all the arm chair food critics..Its inexpensive casual quick comfort food people, you’re not dining at the Harbour Sixty....it’s “Harbour Coby”. Try to enjoy the country water-side dining moment. Drive or take a Picturesque boat ride around Balsam Lake, then head north to “Coby”. Boat dock next door. LCBO close by. Snowmobile groups always welcome in the winter. DJ and live music on weekends. You can’t beat this Ontario treasure anywhere. Take that... Muskoka.

I would stop by again for lunch. The pulled pork was great...not my style but tender and juicy. Needs more sauce for me. Mac n' cheese was garlicky but lacked any other real flavour. Still... I would return to try other sides. Lots of beer choices as well. Lunch and a local draft...$20. + tip.

This place was amazing ???? we went to balsam lake and were feeling a nice lunch from a small place somewhere in town. We stumbled upon the pattie house, I got the basic burger and it was delicious ???????? super fresh ???? the poutine was on point ???? the fries were very fresh and the cheese curds were all melted ???????? loved the gravy! The service was great ???? I even forgot to get drinks and asked when I paid n got em on the house ???? id definitely recommend this place for a great meal at a very good price????????

Don't let the word BBQ fool you. My ribs never saw a grill or a smoker but rather just baked in an oven. If you're looking for authentic BBQ look elsewhere

Good staff...nice atmosphere. The low rating comes from the hit or miss food. Some weeks it is good and some weeks it is awful. They need to revamp the menu and have some signature dishes that they do well EVERY time. We go every week during the summer and the only thing that is consistently good is the hot potato chips (we have tried most things on the menu) and the beer!

I'm a decent cook and fish tacos are one of my specialty. I like to try fish tacos when I go places. I tried blackened fish tacos at pattie house. I'm not a picky guy. I don't remember last time I didn't like something to the point where I couldn't eat it... Well those tacos tasted like some type of cleaner? I only ate one of the two, forcefully. The night after, I couldn't sleep because of cramps.. I mentioned to the waitress I was disappointed and they waived the price of the tacos only. The rest of the food was great.

A real country pub and restaurant with a wild twist. Some of the best summer jams in the Kawartha's take place here at the Patty House. Canada day is one of the best I recommend checking it out. The menu has a family restaurant and pub combination, all of the food is excellent. Live bands from time to time the place has a little bit of everything!

It has been a long, long time since we were in the Patty House even though we live only 5 mileIts away. We knew it had a new owner, and had been totally renovated. My wife saw a sign outside advertising “smoked BBQ baby back ribs” on Thursdays so we decided to give it a shot. What a shock when we went inside. Now anyone that has been in the Patty House of past has always sat with their back to the wall. Typical style draft room, dark dingy, not very inviting, certainly not a place you would take your lady. But not now, the new owners have done an outstanding job of renovating this place. Terrific atmosphere, fast and friendly service, bright and cheery, and the food was excellent. The ribs had just the right amount of smoke, not to strong, a good smoke ring, so tender they literally did fall off the bone. Served with fries and cornbread, and I had a draft, a choice of many taps. Because I smoke my own meats, I thought I might be a little objective, but, glad to say every thing was perfect. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return. Dinner specials for 2 came to $30.

Use to love this pace however I just drove 30min out of my way to get some of there delicious food. Do to covid there set up is different witch is a great thing. The thing that was disappointing was as my wife pulled up to the pick up window. she seen them preparing our food. She also watched as the person doing it wiped the back of there hand across there nose and then went right back to the food. We obviously decided not to eat there and instead of just driving away I decided to go in and tell them what we had seen and that we would not be taking the food. They actually gave me a hard time about it. In a time when we are all wearing masks to prevent the spread of fluids this we found unacceptable. Management should aswell. I understand mabe they had a itch ok I get it. A simple wash of the hands after would have made all the difference.

I'm only giving 1 star because you have to. This place should not have smokehouse in it's name because they served tasteless, poor quality ribs that were so tough I needed to floss as soon as I got home. The mashed potatoes served to my daughter tasted spoiled and how difficult is it to bring a side of gravy? You shouldn't be halfway through your meal when the gravy arrives. The food wasn't the worst part of our experience, the server was horrible. If your job description is server I would assume you have a clue as to what good and bad service is. She was rude and slow, when a customer asks for the dessert that comes with the kids meals, the response shouldn't be "I only have vanilla ice cream". The question wasn't what is the dessert. When a customer thanks you for refilling their water, the response shouldn't be "yup". The only time during our awful experience did she bother to be slightly polite was when she brought the bill and that was way too little too late. Never eat here unless you want to be disappointed with your meal and enjoy terrible service. My entire family felt sick to our stomachs when we got home.

So basically me and some friends ordered wings. Tasted ok I guess but in all the orders (3 of them) we found numerous wings, if you can even classify them as wings, that had feathers on them. I understand sometimes these things happen however when I asked about it I was given a very snarky reply from the waitress. And once I spoke to the manager I explained my situation and that all of us were unsettled by the feathers and she couldn't refund us at all. She gave us a $5 gift card which is very ironic because I am never going back here again. In short the food I got was terrible, waitresses were unhelpful and the manager was brutal. Would give this place zero stars but unfortunately that's not possible.

Called ahead & were allowed to pre-order so that it would be ready when we arrived & sat down. It was ready, it was good, & we were back on the road in no time. My first visit to the Patti House. It is definitely a family friendly restaurant. Seating is flexible enough for any sized group. It was ribs night so we had the special. The service was slow. The serving size is good. The ribs were ok, fries were good.

Wow. This place is awesome! Amazing buttermilk chicken sandwich. It is so big you have to scrunch it down to get it in your mouth. Also the fries are similar to Swiss Chalet but better. Fish tacos were good but they need some sort of side to go with them. The service was outstanding and the patio view can’t be beat. We will return again.

Heard really good things about this place from "the locals" in town. So decided to try out the Pattie House and just do take out. Customer Service was mediocre to the point almost rude. Make a long story short found a sharp piece of plastic in my chicken ceaser wrap. Next time I won't be ordering that. Can't wait to go back to The Pattie House!

Worst wings I've ever had. Completely dried up and shriveled. Seems like they have them pre-fried and then warm them up in fryer again. Waitress was annoyed when asked questions and then switched out with different waitress which was moderately better. Never going back again.
