It was a fabulous event held by Pelican Events & catering at the Best Western plus. The event was for our daughters Bridal Shower, Henna Party. Our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful setting, delicious food and the great service that Kumar and team provided. We received the glowing feedback from our guests and we couldn't be happier. Kumar we can't thank you enough for your hard work and the seamless approach you take in satisfying your customers. We were very impressed of how the ceremony went smoothly and fantastic job guiding all of us. Thank you again for your outstanding efforts as we celebrated our daughter's special day with families and friends. It was a truly memorable day for all of us. I can not emphasize enough how dissatisfied I was with this company. I rented table cloths from Pelican for my October wedding. I was promised round cloths that were floor length with a shorter cloth on top of my accent colour. The day before the wedding when we picked up the cloths we discovered that they had given us short square cloths! And some of the cloths had holes in them; some so bad we couldn't use them for the wedding. I called to get it corrected but no one was there. My wedding was the following day and my mother called to tell them the problem. They kept making excuses about them and it was only after my mother told them they wouldn't get the cloths back did we receive some of our money back. When handing them back in they didn't count them in front of my mother and then a week later called to tell us 3 cloths were missing. We knew for a fact that all the cloths had been handed in. They kept calling my mother and by the end of the week it was now 5 cloths. Now I'm having to pay for 5 cloths which we know were given back, and probably because we asked for money back from their mistake. I would never recommend them to anyone. Ever.

July 07, 2019: Pelican Catering made our son Anandh and Daughter in law Abirah”s wedding reception at Grand Cinnamon event so much memorable than we could have expected. They provided high quality food and service for the event. The starters and the main four course meal was so delicious every guest who attended the occasion commented how good it was. We had guests all the way from Australia, England and many parts of USA. The set up team took extra time to ensure the seating arrangements were done that every guest’s food preference was handled correctly. What an incredible experience!! Pelican saved the day to say the least. Our team was having a corporate event hosting 55 people total. The prices are very reasonable, staff (Kristy in particular) were always available to answer any questions and went above and beyond to make our event a success. Brittany delivered the food on time, hot and assisted with the set up. The day of the event I contacted Kristy to advise we needed to accommodate a dietary restriction and without hesitation the team took care of it in an instant. Last but not least I have to mention the food was incredible- Had i brought tupperware i would have brought some home! After the event I had a few of my team members reach out to ask where we catered in from- seems like it was a hit across the board. I cannot wait to use this service for our next event!

My vegetarian bride ordered meat and cheese and vegetables all to be on separate platters so that the would never contact each other. What we got was everything on one platter, which means that she could not eat most of it. ANYONE WHO NEEDS TO KEEP KOSHER BE CAREFUL! They also specified that they would not send bread. We placed an order at a local bakery. Pelican brought bread anyway meaning that we spent more money for food that would likely go to waste. I managed not to waste the extra bread, I just ate stale buns for a week. Yum! Since Pelican was unwilling to pick up from the hall after the event, we ended up taking the gear into storage until the day after labour day. They guy didn't actually show up for the gear until two days later. I got 2 extra days of sentry duty just in case they bothered to show up. When he finally did grace us with his presence, there was no phone call to make sure we were home and he knocked at the back door. The front door is the address we gave him, he knocked at a separate residence. If you like being stuck at home for a few days eating stale bread waiting for these clowns to get their act together, then this is fantastic value. If you have any dietary restrictions or a life, then shop around a little more.

We loved the way your team was set up and did things professionally and kept things moving. There is nothing I would want to criticize. It all just felt perfect. We had Pelican host a wedding shower Saturday past and were most pleased with the before experience in planning the event and the during experience. The food was as I had imagined and anticipated -- presented beautifully and delicious. The Bartender, Tia was great and ensured our guests were well looked after. It was a pleasure to deal with Kristy both with her expertise and professionalism. Highly recommend Pelican for your next event.

I went to a Charity Event where they catered. My mistake in not eating before hand. The selection I can't complain about because I'm sure the organizers picked the menu. Everything was fried, but served cold and soggy. Meatballs were edible, but you could see a lot of non -meat parts to it. Looked like it all came from M&M's Meat Shop. The servers would serve half of a table and then walk away. I have also gone for high tea at The Parkwood Estates, beautiful view , but the food was terrible and some inedible. I remember the server saying there is no refrigerator out there which is alarming since they have dairy products etc that shouldn't be sitting out for hours outside. A friend talked me into trying high tea a second time, I called and was told no tea, its brunch only, not sure if the service is still available.

We are so happy to have had Pelican Events there for us on our wedding day! They were so helpful with everything throughout the entire planning process. While they were only doing our catering, Jade was happy to help me with all planning aspects and I really appreciated her advice!
