I had been hearing positive things about Mr. Gourmet for a while now and finally got a chance to try it out. My family was completely impressed, great home made food at a great price. My 4 year old actually asked me to order again as she loved the chicken and roasted vegetables. I just placed another order and can't wait to try more of the dishes. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a nice change from cooking a meal yourself.

My new weekly "go to" for delicious, hearty AND healthy home cooked meals! They take gluten free requests and are a pleasure to deal with PLUS they deliver!! We love their lasagna, stuffed peppers, soups and carrot cake..served all to family & friends on several occasions also! It's great that they use recyclable cardboard containers too.

We have used the services of Chef David in a number of occasions and every time the dishes that he prepared and delivered or served were exceptional. Our guests very much enjoyed the delicious home made dishes. We have recommended Chef Dave to our friends and they have used him, with great success, for catering a large engagement party! Pavla, who also works with Chef Dave, is great to also deal with. They both are very professional and quick to respond to any questions that we had. Highly Recommend Mr. Gourmet Home!

We have been ordering from Mr. Gourmet for the last few months now and absolutely love it. We have ordered the chicken parmigiana, lasagna and meatloaf with mashed potatoes,and have loved each one. The portions are very large especially the chicken parmigiana, which we generally have enough left overs to have for lunch the next day. The salads are large and the vegetables are so fresh, I cannot get a salad like this from the grocery store for the price or freshness. We have had both the cream of cauliflower and the butternut soup which were fabulous and where twice the size of the ones I have gotten at other establishments for the same price. We have two small kids who will eat all that we have ordered which has been a bonus too! We love that it shows up hot right to our door! It has been a blessing. Thanks Pavla and Dave!

Comfort food! at a time when we all need some comfort!!!! What a great meal.. so happy I ordered.. but cant believe it took me this long. I ordered stew for 4 people. It was hot and tasty and healthy! I will definitely order again! I highly recommend.

The food was delicious and so beautifully prepared. The complimentary antipasto trays were out of this world!! Also Pavla was so accommodating in that she brought them ahead of time and them came back later with the hot food. The amounts were very generous, so you may not need to order as much food as you think!

Finally tried this place and it was outstanding. I can't even say which dish we liked most because they were all delicious, fresh, hot, delivered to our door and the process was so easy to order. The carrot cake and apple strusel were to die for as were the cabbage rolls and eggplant parm & according to my hubs the meatloaf was the best he has ever tasted!

We are very lucky to have this wonderful homecooked meal service in Uxbridge!! The meals are delicious - perfectly seasoned, lovely sauces, and generous portions. They are delivered warm and fresh in totally biodegradable containers by the Chef Dave's family. I've been ordering almost all my dinners weekly for the past couple of months and haven't come across a bad one yet. My favourites are the delicious grilled salmon and rice dish, the tender and flavourful Osso Bucco (beef) dinner, the chicken in a gorgeous cream sauce, the tasty and colourful grilled vegetables, and the arugula salad loaded with fresh fruit and and a lovely tangy dressing! The prices are reasonable and the food is locally sourced when possible....so a win, win, for everyone if supporting local businesses is important to you. Pavla, who looks after the orders and delivery, is friendly and very accommodating. I couldn't be happier with the food and service, and it's made my busy life much simpler!

I have been ordering for several weeks and the food is fantastic! It tastes like homemade! We have tried the lasagna (to die for -- and i got mine gluten free!) -- the eggplant parm is outstanding (same thing - mine was gluten free and it was excellent). My husband is a fussy eater and he even loves the food. We have loved everything we have ordered. I just placed my order for this week!

I have ordered food from Mr. Gourmet twice now. I find the food to be very fresh & excellent tasting - the lasagne is outstanding and the soups never disappoint. My concern with this company is their lack of punctuality. My first order was 30 minutes late and my second was a write off. I ordered the food for 4:00pm because my friends and I were going to an early show and wanted to eat first. I was advised at 4:00 that he was running late and wouldn't deliver until 5:15. We left the house at 5:25 and the food had still not arrived. So.. if on time delivery doesn't matter to you then I can highly recommend. If timing is important I would give it a pass.

I happened upon this up and coming family owned catering business and decided to give them a try for an event with 40 people. I ordered their lasagna and can tell you that it did not disappoint. The layers were stacked right up to the lid, the sauce tasted homemade, it had lots of ground meat in it, just the right amount of cheese and it arrived piping hot. From all the food at this family function, the lasagna was first to get finished off. I had a chance to meet Chef David, he’s very passionate about food and Pavla was wonderful at coordinating everything and always responded in a timely manner to my questions and emails.

I recently hosted a family event and ordered an eggplant parmesan, assortment of grilled vegetables and apple strudel for dessert. Food was delivered on time, and still warm. The ingredients were all fresh and very tasty. A definite homemade quality. The apple strudel was also delicious, filled with plenty of freshly sliced apples. Food was loved by all. I would highly recommend Mr. Gourmet. An easy 5 star.

Recently hosted a dinner party. Menu included Greek salad, grilled salmon, chicken breast, roasted vegtables, apple studel and carrot cake. Very pleased with the service, portions, quality and taste. Compliments all around from our guests. Would recommend Mr. Gourmet.

The convenience of home delivery cannot be overstated...and everything is fresh and tastes delicious. A great alternative for those days when there is no time for cooking at home - no messy dishes – and tasty nutritious food all for a reasonable price.
