I don't know why this place had to change. It used to be so lovely with kind, helpful staff. The woman at the deli was so incredibly rude and overcharged me because she sliced too much meat. I went in intending on purchasing a whole bunch of things but I didn't because of the awful way I was treated by the staff. The place used to be so lovely, but when I went in the shelves were practically bare and the quality has really gone down hill. Such a shame, but I'll never shop there again. Not with that rude employer working there

This bakery is amazing ! From the delicious goods i bought to the outstandingly nice service i received from the two young ladies that were working. The store is small, but it is full of homemade breads, desserts and treats. I initially went into the store because of their catchy sign that said "We want you to squeeze our buns" and knew that I needed bread. When entering I was amazed by how many unique baked goods they had. I went in for bread and came out with white bread, cherry bread, hot crossed buns, a mini cake, four sugar cookies and an Irish Cream nanaimo bar. I was not disappointed by anything that I bought and would recommend the cherry bread to everyone ! I will definitely be going back for all of my baked goods and breads in the future !

Got a birthday cake made (carrot cake ) it was absolutely amazing !! My husband got a sandwich.. I would of taken a picture but I was afraid he would of bit my phone ... it was the best sandwich we had ever had ! They had so many fresh buns and treats .. Always good, no matter what you buy you know its going to be fresh and good quality. Their selection of doughnuts goes very quickly though leaving most sold by noon. If they made doughnuts twice a day and restocked they would get 5 stars

This bakery has THE BEST DONUTS EVER! So fresh and delicious, great selection too. I go there mostly for them (family loves them). The buns, bagels and bread have always been fresh and taste great. Kawartha Bakery was the best bakery for miles before Covid-19. They closed up for renovatio and I think they also changed their recipe. Bread and buns were wonderfully fresh, moist and freezer friendly, just as fresh when thawed as before frozen. Not so much since they reopened. We find the bread very dry and doesn't freeze so well anymore. We do still shop there as I prefer dry over alot of preservatives, but I do wish they would go back to the original recipe. The original recipe was...just mmmmmmmmmm perfect!

Purchased 2 butter tarts here ,and 2 apple Fritters .. Butter tarts were a big disappointment..Pastry was very dry and hard,certainly wernt fresh made..They went in the garbage..Will never buy again..The fritters were big and tasty... ????????????????

Went here on the off chance that they were the bakery that supplies the apple fritters to a coffee shop that I frequent. To my absolute pleasure, they were. I asked for only 4 fritters, the lady instead of just directing me to the appropriate shelf, told me that she will get me some fresh out of Ithe fryer. She went way beyond what she had to do. Wow! This was my first time there but definitely won't be my last. I called in advance to order 4 dozen buns and they were ready and really nicely packed when I arrived. They also have donuts, and all kinds of desert choices including different kinds of breads (eg banana bread) and sliced meat and i think i may have seen salads too. It's a small place but they pack a lot in. They also had things in their coolers but unfortunately I had no time to look. Whole-wheat buns are delicious! Staff was very friendly and fast even on the July long weekend with the line at the cash growing. Will definitely be back!

Their rum balls are to die for! The sandwiches are always packed with meat. Their donuts are twice the size of Timmies and I can go on & on ....but most of all the girls here are super friendly and great ????. You'd be hard pressed to find another Bakery which offers the quality and value for what you pay here ????. I wish I lived near Lindsay, it's always a treat when I stop in.

Wow what an experience in bread - never have I seen such a selection. I roughly counted more than 20 varieties and I was confused. It's one of those popular bakeries you would find in smaller towns or cities. They also have a deli section which I did not try. Besides bread they had an assortment of donuts, macaroons, brownies, pies, tarts etc etc. They accept payment by card and cash too. The staff there were friendly and patient- it was my first time and it took me sometime to check out. The shop itself is not very big but their stuff more than makes up for it. I just got home and my kids are sampling the stuff and going gaga over it. I always prefer to walk into a shop and buy stuff from a smaller menu than a bigger one which may not have stuff I'm not interested in. Parking outside is free and off the main road. The items too are reasonable priced and I'm sure of returning there soon.
