Love the subs but the last two orders gave me food poisoning. Please use fresh food. I know everyone is trying to survive these days but don't cut costs. The leftovers made my whole house smell like a dump, it's the dressings that are the problem. Please fix it. I like the subs.

Ordered through Uber eats and they unfortunately took over an hour to find a driver. This part is not the fault of Firehouse subs but when my food got here it was the coldest sub I've ever ate. They clearly just let my sub sit for an hour and didn't think to remake it. I get that the Uber took a long time but that doesn't give you a free pass for serving poorly prepared food.

Quite annoyed over my recent visit to this restaurant. While it has always been good in the past I ordered meatball sub and found that it was filled with peppers! That’s definitely not the end of the world but I am no fan of peppers and I definitely did not ask they be added. Maybe it was a change to their sauce or something I’m really not sure. But it completely ruined my meal.

I ordered a salad today for the first time from this restaurant. It was the best take out salad I have had. There were fresh veggies from the top to the bottom of the bowl. Most take out salads have all the veggies on top, by the time you get to the middle to the bottom it’s nothing but lettuce. It was excellent.

When I visited, there was a hockey team having lunch at this location. It was extremely chaotic because of all the customers. Despite the chaos, the staff working handled it incredibly well. I was told it would be a 15-20 min wait, but it ended up being less than 10 min. I was impressed with how well the staff performed at such a busy time. To top it off, the sub I had was delicious! One of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. I will definitely be returning :)

Big fan of the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket. Its a favorite of some of the Casino staff for a quick lunch option. Its a bit pricier than other sandwich places but personally find the quality of the food much better than other chains. I'm not a big chili fan but my wife is and says the chili is fantastic.

I have eaten at firehouse many times since it has came to ptbo. Recently because of covid restrictions I tried ordering take out from them for the first time. Must say very unorganized when it comes to trying to pick up your order. I ended up having to wait in a line for 10 minutes because 4 people had to order and pay for there food infront of me. When I was finally able to pick up my food it is 10 minutes after my pick up time. Got out to the truck and sandwiches were already cold and so sauggy and gross. Very disappointed will never get take out here again.

This is a great place with an incredible flavor. I'd suggest a couple of things though. Once we arrived (during Covid) we saw that we could order online and they show the website to do so in a sign placed at the entrance (you can see that in one of the pictures I included). At least from our phones (my wife's and mine), it didn't work. We lost some minutes, more people came in and we ended up entering the restaurant to order after a longer line, The second thing is that the same sign suggests the possibility of ordering by phone, but no phone number included. Other than that, which is just a sign improvement, we enjoyed our take out meals.

Without a doubt the best sub I have ever had. Real bacon and cheese (unlike any other fast food sub place) and the bread is great as well. It's a bit pricey but I think it is totally worth it as a treat. I have been dreaming about that magnificent sandwhich and going back for another ever since.

My roommate went to get a sub here. Super excited to try this place one more time after having a rather mediocre experience. The line was long, one staff member decided to sweep while he was waiting and Shoo him around the floor while he was trying to remain socially distanced. The cups were out in the open individually standing with straws for anyone to touch, cough on or have debris fall into - which was gross. Roommate finally got his sub after a 25 min wait (which happens sometimes at dinner time). We return home to find a rather bland sub which he didn't realize he had to give further direction to receive any type of moisture or toppings. The biggest insult was while eating he pulled a massive long hair out of his mouth and was still in the center of the sandwich simultaneously. It belonged to neither of us and was inside of the toppings in the food which was never exposed again after intial production. After his discovery and then finding more of it in the 2nd half of his sub, he threw his $15 dinner away. We do NOT recommend this place after 2 attempts and failures. We will NOT return.

I am beyond upset, I just had a very long day and didn't have the energy to make food, so I went and got a sub from here to go, I am vegan so I usually order the veggie sub with no cheese, no mayo. I got home and started to eat it and tasted something different/off so I began to pick through it and found a peice of ham on it!! This is the second time I have found non vegan items on my vegan ordered sub..I know people make mistakes but cmon gotta be WAY more careful with cross contamination I haven't eaten meat in over a year and just feel like crying

While we were looking at the menu, one of the friendly staff members confirmed it was our first visit, and gave a quick rundown of how the ordering process works, as well as some suggested combos. The food is delivrred to your table, and arrives steaming hot, with flavour bursting in every bite. SO much better than other sandwich stores that just microwave a half frozen patty.

Where do I begin... I was at firehouse subs yesterday, April 26th, around 3pm. I was the only customer in the store so being busy is no excuse. There were two young ladies working there. The one was fabulous. The one who served me however, is now the reason I won't be going back to this location. Even though its the only one in ptbo, I'd rather go without then experience the same level of service I received yesterday. I ordered the cheddar brisket sub. She never once smiled, and she even ignored me when I received my sub and i said "thank you have a nice day." She just turned around and walked away. Absolutely appalling. Then my next issue is, there are only 4 ingredients on the sub i ordered, the meat, cheese, mayo and bbq sauce. So on top of the fact that the young lady was extremely unpleasant, she forgot the bbq sauce on my sub. When I went back to get this fixed, she stared at me like a deer in headlights. She never ONCE apologized. She never said anything. She made me feel so awkward I even apologized for complaining and said if I had BBQ sauce at home I would just apply it myself. Which is ridiculous seeing as I paid 15 dollars for this sub. The other young lady actually stepped in and offered me solutions and she apologized. The fact that she was so unpleasant to be served by, then to have her scew up a 4 ingredient sub, then continue to be rude when I went back, it just shocks me this woman has a job.

Eating at firehouse subs is always pleasurable. Great food at fair prices. I am however concerned with access to the rear exit of the restaurant being completely blocked. Hopefully something that can be fixed with this review as mentioning it to staff weeks ago resulted in nothing. Update 1 month later. Still blocked rear exit.

You've never tasted the perfect sub until you visit Firehouse Subs. I'm vegetarian so keep in mind that my review doesn't include any kind of thought into the meats they use, but the way they melt everything together into an extremely tasty and satisfying sandwich everytime is no small feat. They're always friendly, and while I wouldn't say their prices are low, it is more than fair for the delicious meal you'll enjoy.

My wife just picked me up a steak and cheese sub for my lunch. First time trying them out as they are new here in Peterborough. She asked for no fixins (no mayo, no lettuce, no tomato, etc...) Just steak and cheese. Sounds pretty simple right? Get it here and it is full of green peppers and onions. Now I'm left hungry and without a vehicle to return. Sorry Firehouse Subs...will not be returning and will not be creating any buzz about you by recommending to a friend. You've wasted our time and our money. Getting an order right is fundamental to a restaurants success and you've failed miserably on your first attempt with me. Very disappointed...would zero star if I could. Tried calling the number on the receipt to report the error and the phone just rings and rings. Not even an option to leave a voicemail. Order # 1758 11/7/2017 @ 12:13:56 and cashier was Christinia. Do not support this unprofessional establishment. There are a ton of Mom and Pop restaurants in Peterborough that deserve your business and understand good service.

Ordered 2 subs 1 med and 1 large and asked for mayo on the side bc I was taking it to go and didn't want it to get soggy. Well didn't get anything on the side. And my partner didn't get really any sauce on it so it was dry. I payed 25$, you'd expect to get your order right for that price. First time here and very disappointed. Cons: - No 2000mg Sodium Breaded Chicken Alfredo Heart Killer 9000 - Trimmings are somewhat limited. You might think by the name that this is your standard fare sub shop... Yeah, no... while firehouse *is* a chain, it's "corporate fast food" identity ends there. Fresh baked bread, (Actual bread, not like you find at subway... that cardboard doesn't exist here.) Steamed cold cuts, and ripe, well aged cheeses await you here at firehouse. While the trimmings are limited, don't be fooled, a second rate sub shop this is not. Got there 5 minutes after open, one person ahead of me, long wait for my sub. The longer I waited the more I noticed how dirty it was. Dust on the chairs and tables, floors look like they hadn't been washed in a week, washroom a disaster with a half full bucket under the sink (leaking from the drain?) Sub was delicious. Just not a clean location.

Sub tasted great but was really skimpy compared to the Oshawa and Whitby locations where the subs are HUGE. it seemed like it was only 1/2 the amount of toppings. Not worth the price at that size. Staff were great also.

Tried it out for the first time and got the philly cheese steak sub combo. Definitely better than anything at subway. The meat and mushrooms were great, the green peppers still had a bit of crunch to them, and the cheese was melty and oozing out of the side of the sandwich which is what I want on a great philly steak. Bread was a bit soft in my opinion and I would have preferred it lightly toasted but its a small complaint for an otherwise great sub. The price is high though. it came out to almost $16 for a combo and it wasn't even a large. Worth a try in my opinion but hard to justify coming back when there are so many inexpensive alternatives nearby.

Terrible service will never be going there ever again. Took 33 minutes to get one sub at the door. My girlfriend had a simple order and customers who were behind her left 10-15 minutes with their food before she did. They prioritize skip the dishes orders before anything. Terrible service. All we got was a "we are under staffed" so I said if you're understaffed don't take skip orders if you can't keep up with the demand of in store orders. Just a brutal experience ..

It was my first time trying firehouse subs. Sub was good quality but I couldn’t taste the love, like subway and Mr. Sub. The cashier was really rude and seemed not to have any patience what so ever, as well as the older lady who was making the sandwiches. She rolled her eyes at me when she heard my order and was making snarky comments while making it. I would not recommend to anyone until staff had a more positive outlook on their jobs. I was really excited to try these subs so I’m really let down, especially with the price of these subs for such poor service.

I love Firehouse food. It's expensive compared to Subway or Mr. Sub, but it's also providing better quality meats, in my opinion. I enjoy the sandwiches a lot more from here versus any other sub place. Plus the selection of 20+ different hot sauces is a huge bonus for me.

First time customers...probably last time as well! Sunday evening, November 10th, 2019, there was one table of three people ahead of us waiting for their already ordered subs...yet it was still took almost 30 minutes for our 2 to-go-subs to be made. Incredibly slow service even with 3 people working! The subs were nothing to write home about, in fact there was very little chicken or toppings on my sub...not worth the price!!! Also, we were asked if we would like pickles on the side to which we said yes and neither one of the subs had the side. The girls working were socializing behind the counter more than they were working or paying attention. Not impressed!!!

I have wanted to try a firehouse sub for some time. We are not locals but stumbled upon this location. It was by far the best sub we have had. We ordered two and split them. Both delicious. Can't wait to try other menu selections. The restaurant was clean and open and I loved the decor. The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and engaging. Top notch experience! We wish we had a location closer to home. We will visit again when we have the opportunity.

I was so thrilled to hear that we were getting a firehouse subs. I had it while in south Carolina years ago. Amazing subs for the same price as a combo from any of your favorite fast food locations. The only problem this location has is actually giving your customers a pickle after asking. I have never gotten a pickle with my sub.
