Saving grace was our server Shauna(?).. Menu was massive, possibly a bit too big, but all we wanted were tacos. Fish tacos were good, frozen basa maybe but they tasted fresh. NO local beer which is ridiculous as there are 6-7-8 breweries in Kamloops, literally across the street and down the road, local craft beer is basically the biggest restaurant trend in Canada right now, it supports local and is more profitable for restaurants... SERVE SOME LOCAL BEER! Saving grace was our server Shauna(?) brilliant personality and service, she needs to be promoted, more likely will go on to run her own hugely successful business/career.

Called to place an order for pick up tonight, for our family of 5 and after a brief wait for a waitress to take our order, I was told the kitchen said they were too busy to complete a pick-up order and ask I call back later. When I indicated my disbelief at this refusal of service, she was apologetic, and said ya I know but they've said to call back later. I assured here I would not be calling back later! I ordered from another local restaurant who was more than happy for my families business!

Came in last Saturday night with our youth baseball team from Vancouver and the food and service was amazing!! Creole Jambalaya was one of the best dishes I've had in years. Next time we're in Kamloops, we'll definitely be back!

Have been here a couple times and the service is good but the food CAN be questionable. Unfortunately our last experience has kept us from returning for months. We ordered Nachos with spicy beef - they came with a hamburger paddy diced up. Nothing like the taste of frozen, unseasoned beef paddy. Because of this - its neither good / nor bad - worth giving it a try yourself!

This little pub in the heart of downtown Kamloops may not the most glamorous location, but it has some real heart and character. Their drink selection is very good. Appetizers and food are better than expected, and the staff is very attentive.

Great bartender, good beer choices, fast service. They undercooked the steak but thats okay. Weird encounter with one of the waitresses is why this place doesn't get a 5 star. I was sitting at the bar- typically that means I can order at the bar. She came over somewhat mad for some reason because I had been told the veggies were not a choice and to replace that I picked a salad... not sure what the confusion was about but she was less than pleasant about it. Otherwise a decent place.

My experience was absolutely horrible!!! I have never had such a terrible time in this restaurant in the entire time I've lived here.. first off, even though we could clearly see seats available on the patio, our server, Hayley, told us we could not sit out there.. so she seats us inside, which is so incredibly hot that we were so uncomfortable.. then she finally took our drink order after 10 minutes, and another 15 minutes goes by and 4 other servers and the owner asked if we had been helped.. then finally!!! We ask another server to seat us outside, and at that exact moment, our server finally comes with our drinks.. then when she was informed we were moving seats, she looked so pissed off at us, as if WE did something wrong.. so we finally sit, and then my friend, who at that point had ordered his coffee over 20 minutes ago, was then informed that there still wasn't coffee, and he was needing to wait longer!! A total of 35 minutes went by for him to simply get a cup of coffee!! I will never, ever come back to this estaminet.

I visited here with my family to celebrate my mom's 64th birthday yesterday, and it was a fantastic visit. Great vibes for friends and family or even hockey night I think. Long menu gave me a hard time to decide LOL. F&F specials everyday and senior specials are also available. We ordered the following 1) Belgian Moon ($6.75), 2) Gramp's Fish and Chips ($13), 3)Oma's Schnitzel ($13), 4)Big Beautiful Rack ($25) and 5)Colossal Cheesecake ($8.50) they were all good except Big Beautiful Rack. Belgian Moon was light and smooth. Not too strong so that was great. Fish and Chips were spot on. It was crispy and lightly battered. My mom loved it since she got the senior deal and we all liked coleslaw that came with Fish and Chips. Schnitzel was yummy as well. Big Beautiful Rack was burnt and dry. Not sure if it was supposed to come as dry ribs, but there wasn't any BBQ sauce smothered on the ribs. It had more bones than meats. I wouldn't recommend this dish at all. There was free salads for seniors menu, yes! It was tasty. I find it F&F tend to have such a fancy utensils in my personal opinion. Staff were courteous and professional making sure we had a great time. Even the manager thanked us at the exit. Frick and Frack was an amazing pub we visited in Kamloops. B-day promo was pretty awesome.

Finally after being 29 days in Kamloops ended up @ Frick Frack for a quick bite . Ordered a pitcher of draft beer with house wings , so many options my god confused but loved it !!!! Ordered a set of 10 buffalo wings and after binging on it , desired for more so ordered a punch of buffalo and teriyaki wings . Wings were good but not great . Beer was awesome , servers were pleasant n friends and great atmosphere inside . Might visit again before leaving Kamloops!!!! Yo yo .

Highly disappointed in the quality of food. When you read a description on the menu and expect that to be on your plate and it's nothing like the description. An example is you're supposed to have chicken on your salad and you have super thin pieces no more than 4 pieces not even a 1/4 of a chickenbreast.. have pita bread that have was suppose to have garlic and butter on it not even close to it. So out of three different meals only one was acceptable. Will not be going back nor do l recommend it.

the owner was walking around making sure all the waiting guests were not forgotten...constantly assuring us that the table is being prepped and keeping us abreast of the waiting time. servers were actively asking if we wanted a drink, and gave us the menu to study while we waited.as soon as we were seated, drinks came and i ordered the special of the day. it was roast chicken breast and a half rack of ribs with fries or salad, all for $19.99. wow!

Everything was fine until I picked up my glass to take a drink, the bottom fell right off drenching myself & my wife in beer as well as our food. Then there was no service to be had, 15 minutes later and 3 requests for help someone finally came to clean up. Didn't ask if we were okay or if we needed anything to help us. On the plus side. the decor is nice & staff pleasent until something unusual happens, then no one knows anything, they even wanted me to pay for the beer drenched food plus the broken beer. NOT a good experience.

I have always enjoyed going to this restaurant for many years, but was very sadly disappointed during covid, that while waiting for an outside table under the tent, we were offered a table that was the end of a long table, where I could literally touch the next person sitting next to me. The closest table was so close that any server would have to turn sideways to walk between the tables. That was enough for us to say cancel our table we're leaving. This is not safe during covid and there is definitely not the six feet social distancing being followed here. Sorry but I think people have a right to know.

Always have a good experience when we eat here. The food is great, always piping hot and very tasty. The staff are all great, very attentive, friendly and know the menu. The restaurant is usually very busy but the wait staff keep up and don’t appear overwhelmed. The manager/supervisors do regular check ins and know their customers and make you feel very welcome. Every time I've visited (roughly 5 times) the server makes a mistake, i.e. bringing me butter when I asked for salad dressing, and they've tried to charge me for drinks I never received. On my last visit the bartender was great but I'm not likely to go again.

My hubby and I got to Kamloops in may for work and the frick and frack was closed due to the pandemic. We had looked at their menu and it looked great with lots of house made items. We were excited to see they had reopened and decided to go for supper. The food was great, our server, Hannah, was great and I noticed the front end manager was very involved with the tables as well as his staff, having worked the service industry I notice things like that. When the manager, Andre I do believe was his name, came to clear our entree dishes he asked how everything was and we had told him that we were glad they had opened again because we had been wanting to go there. He thanked us very much and said he hoped to see us again. In the mean time he had gone to the kitchen and had our server bring us a complimentary dessert! It was a great experience and we will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this establishment :)

Service was great. We sat outside which was perfect for a warm night. Schnitzel was excellent on a bed of mashed potatoes, a generous portion of roasted vegetables and some coleslaw. The schnitzel was nice and crispy without being too dry and the mushroom gravy went with it perfectly. All very delicious! A Beck's beer to top it off and it was an absolutely fantastic meal!

Like this place. Convenient location, easy parking, cheery staff and an excellent burger and nachos. Refills of soda were prompt and the owner even came by and chatted with some guests. Hannah (red) was our server and she was excellent.

My wife and I came up from Vancouver to see my parents. I had heard good things about the Frick & Frack so I made a reservation (see later note). We all had different meals, with myself having the Creole Jambalaya Rissoto. The food was fantastic, with generous sized servings. The drinks were great, having the Crown & Ginger-ale Fish Bowl!! The service was excellent very attentive and friendly. She had a great demeanor which gave us a relaxed feeling. Now for the Manager. He came by the table a couple of times to ensure everything was good, it was! The reservation was done online and we found out at the end he is also on top of these. We were almost ready to leave and he came to our table with a waiter and confirmed my name. He thanked us coming from Vancouver to his restaurant and then gave us a couple of very tasty deserts. It capped off a great dinner with my parents, who I have not seen for 7 months due to the Covid-19 situation. Great food, atmosphere, drinks, and restaurant management and staff. We will be back and thank you for the great experience.

Dear restaurant owner: The server was great (long curly hair) but the manager was shockingly rude. Not the insensitive kind of rude but more like the insulting you must have mommy issues kind of rude. It was fun to Shazam the endless playlist of thrasher rock and bands and songs like bone crusher etc. that we’d never heard of but it grew tiresome. When Metalica and Ozzy Osborne came on it was like easy listening compared to the others. We politely asked the server to change the music. Happy pants manager made a special trip to our table to made sure we knew that “I can’t change the music. Actually I can, but I won’t” He said with a little chuckle. He’s gotta go. It’s affecting your bottom line and you may not even know it.

It may be great for getting together with friends (service was great, hence the 2 stars), but I cannot recommend the food at all. I got a stake fajita, the beef was fatty and crewy (I could not chew it), so I requested a change to chicken, but the chicken was worse (rubbery and the sauce lacked flavour). Go to the Noble Pig instead, if you're looking for great food.

Great beer list. Service was fantastic. The food is really sub par. They try to hit too many fads, too many ethnicities, and try to please to many people. You can tell in the size of their menu that the kitchen is stretched too far and the food shows it. ~$18 for a burger that has a frozen patty is absurd. If they stop trying to please everyone and focus on what they can do really well they would benefit from it.

It’s a big menu but they do have something for everyone. I usually get a Greek salad with chicken and I’m never disappointed. The drinks are amazing and they have good lunch specials. They are great at accommodating people by ordering ahead. Nice patio on the summer as well. Not crazy on their parking arrangements but it works. If you’ve had a long day, I would recommend a blue hippo and a designated driver.

Service was good given the fact they were extremely busy. However, i asked the waitress for a specific dish, she exclaimed it was her favorite. It was an easy sell, however, the sauce on the butter chicken dish tasted more like spicy ketchup rather than the traditional curry taste. When ordering, i told her i literally grow hot peppers myself and can handle heat, she said the mild is good enough...not whatsoever. Great atmosphere, great service, improve the food and this restaurant is a five star restaurant.

This is a must try in Kamloops! Yes it's a pub with like 200 beers available and in my opinion a few notches up on probably most pubs anywhere. Not a cookie cutter corporate type pub but a unique experience. Great food and when we were there wonderful service including a visit from who we thought was a the owner .

It's unfortunate that this place is not as good as it's been in the past. Lots on the menu, food was priced good, taste was just ordinary. Everything on my plate, from protein to the vegetables, was pretty bland. Maybe they should try and specialize few things that they are good at rather than go mediocre on too many different dishes.

Lot of different beer selection but food was mediocre. My beef dip bun was super soggy on the bottom side and ordered stuffed mushrooms caps as an apple and got 4 mushrooms buried in cheese for $13.50. Would maybe go back for a couple beers but not sure I would go back for a meal. Maybe just an off night?

Came here on my first visit to Kamloops. Great selection of domestic and imported beers - bottle, can, or tap. Huge drink menu and daily specials. My go to is always the Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier. The short rib French dip is proper good eats. The highlight was the attentive and hard working servers.

I was there with 30 of my family service was good food not so much. I had Japanese stir fry. Had a few bites it was liķe having vegetable soup and the vegetables weren't cooked. Noodles weren't cooked terrible!! I didn't send it back as we were the last to be served .

Staff are friendly and service is excellent. Food menu has a lot of variety and the food tastes great. Their bottled beer selection has some great beers from around North America and the world. One of the few or only places in Kamloops to grab a Sierra Nevada Pale ale or Maui Brewing Coconut Porter.

We popped into Frick and Frack during road trip from Vancouver to Edmonton. It is in the town centre. We were well served by our waiter. I had Hunters Schnitzel; it came with mash, vegetables and coleslaw. It was very tasty. There is plenty of choice on the menu, and the desserts looked by nice aswell. I would definitely recommend a visit

Management and staff were very accommodating as we did a drop I. With six friends. They set us up right away, paid for the parking and let us stay and have a good long visit. We ordered the special, burgers, salads and were pleased with all the options. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. Pleased to reccome d this friendly clean pub. The Frick & Frack Taphouse is one of my favorite restaurants... Always great food & good customer service except for the last time I visited on my birthday the food was ok, the customer service was not good at all & the wait time for our food & dessert was way too long. We arrived at 6pm and didn't depart until 8:30pm. Someone in my group made a complaint & we got a discount. I hope next time we have a better experience.

Attended during my lunch break. Order was taken immediately and drinks fast to arrive. My meal came out within 15 minutes and was sizzling hot. The waitress picked up meal deficiencies and replaced what needed to be before I needed to point them out. My glass was refilled before it was empty. The overall service was amazing. I will recommend and visit, myself, more frequently. My only negative point was that additional condiments (hot sauce) were not offered. The meal was lovely without but could have been that much more grand with.

The portions are always very large here. The prices for food are high but they make up for it in large plates! My servers have always been attentive and nice. The restaurant gave us free shots tonight which was awesome. The bathrooms are clean and tidy as well. The music can be a bit loud, especially when you go to the bathroom but it's not a huge deal. Pay for your dollar parking before you go in and bring the stub piece in for money back.

I usually don’t write reviews but tonight I feel I should. I invited 4 of my friend and we were 4, 8 people in total. The food was cold, the beer wasn’t great. We ended up spending $340 for the table. At the end, they charged us $62.82 for tip. I asked them I like to modify the tip and they said you can’t. They chose how much tip I wanted to pay. The worst experience with a restaurant in my life. I DO NOT Recommend this place. I will call later and talk to manager about how could they charge me $62.82 without my permission. I need a right answer for that.

Noisy and convivial, an ok place for a bar meal with ample choices of alcoholic drinks to accompany it. The menu is nothing special, mostly the kinds of items found on bar menus everywhere. The service was less than prompt, perhaps because we were there on a weekend evening and the place was crowded. Finding parking nearby is difficult. Probably will not return.

It was a rough start to our first visit to this restaurant but only because they were way busier (reserved for 30 got 50) than expected. The waitress for our table had been pulled in to help with the big party and no one helped us until we called over a manager. We were ready to leave at that point. But everyone was super apologetic and nice so we stayed. And glad we did too!! Our food was excellent (stuffed mushrooms, fish tacos and chicken stir fry). A desert was comped for our wait so we shared a red velvet cake. OMG!! It was really good!! We will be back.
