Typical family diner, staff a bit overwhelmed due to the long weekend, but still very friendly. Great menu, breakfast all day long option and quick water refill. Dishes range from soup of the day over chowder to burgers and sandwiches and pasta dishes. Various salads, poutine and deep fried pickles are also on the menu.

Busy! I was shocked how busy this place was on a Sunday night. I ordered the eggs Benny and coffee (all day breakfast). The girls kept the coffee hot and full even though they were obviously busy. Food came over fast and hot. Appears to be a local favourite and I can see why. I’ll go back.

A step back in time (at least 30 or so years) Great retro diner. Amazing fish (perfectly battered) and my wife's burger was tasty too! Best part was the warm homemade apple & raspberry pie with soft serve ice cream on top - so good! Looking forward to visiting again next time we're in town!

Rollys is a somewhat busy diner in a smaller town. That means that the food you are going to get won't hurt you, but it also won't be the best thing you've ever had. The restaurant is clean, the water is cold, and the food comes out quickly. Our waitress was what I would define as the cliche 1980's waitress. She wasn't happy, or courteous, but by gum she did her job. The food itself wasn't trying to be anything other than exactly what was said on the menu. My turkey sandwich was the bog standard turkey sandwich you would get from a hospital cafeteria. Turkey, mayo, lettuce, done. The potato salad which "Doesn't have egg in it, but is still good" was just OK. It actually does need that egg. My friend couldn't eat her burger because it tasted prefab, and not homemade. I think that they could put some more work into making their food standout. Yeah, everyone here is doing their job, but it's nothing to be super proud of.

We tried their burger, cheese blitz crepe, and strawberry pancake. It was all good. The atmosphere of the place was also good, with friendly staff. The place is clean. A restaurant you should definitely go to if you visit Hope.

I will return every time I pass through Hope. Staff is super friendly, and the food is incredible. I had the steak and eggs, and it was perfect. Steak was seasoned well and cooked just how I ordered it, eggs were perfect (over easy), and the hash browns actually tasted like fresh potatoes, unlike some breakfast places. Definitely has the old school diner feel, it's super cozy and friendly. Loved it here!

Enjoyed 2 meals here on a recent trip to Hope and enjoyed the food both times. We had the same server both trips and both times she seemed rushed but she was efficient and met our needs. This is a busy place and both times we had to wait for a table which was expected as we went during peak times.

We went there twice while in Hope. The first time was a four plus star dinner the second time was one a day a half. Both times the service was very adquate. The first time we went the only thing wrong was they gave us the wrong type of pie. It was still very good The second time was not so good. My wife got the teriyaki chicken. It was very dry. I got the New York steak ($21). It came with a salad and garlic bread. The steak dinner came before the salad and they brought that, finally, Then there was no garlic bread or roll . They finally brought the bread but it was two rolls not garlic bread. My steak remember it is a New York steak could have been mistaken for a breakfast steak. It had little flavor and thin. My dog got most of it. We again order pie and they got it wrong again. The server did not get trained right he did not know what to do or know the menu. They had very little glasses for water the hostess keep coming by to refill them. Would I come back here again. I would give it one more chance.????

Not the worst place in the world or anything, but the food is a little sub-par for me. Been there twice and never liked my food, also not a fan of the coffee and especially hate the creamer brand they use. The service is hit and miss, could go either way.

Great comfortable friendly family restaurant. The plate size is filling and inviting. The servers and wait staff are all very pleasant and easygoing. I will be going back again. Updated ... Well today I came in for dinner and there are 8 people in here and I have been waiting for 12 minutes after getting seatted. The wait staff is busy being a tour guide. Which is nice but not at the inconvenience of other customers. Not impressed that I had to interrupt just to get service. So for that I take away one ????.

Good food, friendly staff. We always stop here for a snack or a meal when we go visit family in Kamloops, BC. Hope is a quaint place in a gorgeous setting, and worth taking the time to visit Stop by Rolly's next time you're' in the neighborhood...great place to visit!

Food not great, selection not great, service took forever, staff were nice enough. I would have given one star, but they forgot to charge for a soup so I'm a tad more lenient. :). Soup was good, though nobody working there seemed to know exactly which kind of soup it was. Wouldn't recommend unless you're dying for food. Other places in town look better.

Surprisingly decent food and friendly service for a road trip meal in Hope. The place is dated and had senior locals eating there on a Friday night which added to the experience. We were in and out fast. Have not eaten at other Hope restaurants but I'd eat here again.

Used to have good service. Don’t order the chicken teriyaki. It’s just plain cold chicken with vegetables and weird salad. Stir fry is mushy with huge vegetables no flavour except for the beef in the stir fry. Once you finish that it’s all bland. ????????

It is like a restaurant out of the past. The decor hasn't seemed to change too much over the years, and it seems to mostly be a mom and pop place. But the food was quite good, and the service was attentive. If you are looking for home-cooked food, this is a good find.

Initially we went to another local, popular diner-like restaurant and discovered it had a very long wait. With two kids, we needed to find somewhere else nearby. We were seated immediately and were pleasantly surprised by the staff, food and comparable prices. Definitely recommend Rolly’s.

I had the family recipe potato pancake with taziki & clam chowder. Different from latke's but very good. The dutch crumble was excellent as well. Again great food & fantastic service WITH A SMILE - the waitress was not wearing a mask, thank goodness!

Typical diner. Breakfast is cheap and good. Don't expect anything fancy or different. Usually busy so sometimes there could be a wait especially if it is the weekend. They don't have mobile debit machines so when you pay you are required to take your tab to the entrance and pay there (where they do have debit machines).

We asked a local resident who was refinishing the cedar carvings where he would suggest for a good meal. Without hesitation he pointed us to Rolly's. We had an excellent home cooked meal, and ended up back for breakfast today. The eggs benedict is the second best I've ever had! (Father-in-law was a chef). Service from the staff is comfortable and welcoming. A refreshing change from the chains. Highly recommended!

Service wasn't very pleasant, most parts of my breakfast tasted good except couple really shriveled up pieces of bacon that tasted burnt and unpleasant. Never came around to ask us how food was or if we wanted refills. Seen the server go to every table in our section except ours. After the food was served did not see server till we were leaving and needed the bill.

This place was fantastic. We were a group of 8 who stopped by on the long weekend after a camping trip. They seated us quickly. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Coffee refills came round regularly, plates were cleared very quickly after we finished. Everything we could have needed was brought to us before we could ask for it. Top place. Can't wait to go again next time I'm in the area.

Every time i eat here i always enjoy my meals. If you want consistency and quality, the lovely ladies over at Rollies Restaurant are there to serve you. Update: Its cold outside this fine February day, so if you havn't tried out their famous clam chowder that they have on the daily, or any of their other soup's which change on the daily, head on over and warm up with a nice cup/bowl of soup.

A good place to stop along your way through Hope. It is a classic dinner style restaurant, it has a good size menu with all the regular items that you would expect from a restaurant like this. The place is clean and looks to be well managed, the servers are good and efficient and the food is good and has nice sized food portions. I would definitely eat there again.

This place is about what you'd expect. It's diner food...in Hope. I actually grew up going here on my way through Hope when heading to go camping. The restaurant (and food) haven't changed at all in 20 years. Staff members are very friendly and service is pretty good. Don't order the coffee. It's bad... Diner coffee in Hope-bad. On my last visit here, my old man had suggested it for the nostalgia I suppose. I ordered the eggs benedict which came quickly, but was about the worst eggs Benny I've ever had. The sauce was broken and eggs overcooked. I thought about asking for a new one, but a quick glance around the restaurant at other people's eggs benny made me realize that's just how it comes. I wouldn't say I'd never eat here again, but honesty breakfast at Triple O's is better. Or if you're heading north and can wait until Boston Bar - Fat Jack's is much better.

Decent breakfast, reasonably priced. Didn't see anyone at the entrance when I went in and no "please wait to be seated" sign in sight so I thought it was one of those "sit anywhere you'd like" kinda diner. Found a clean table and sat down, but got yelled at pretty hard by a waitress, "no, you go sit over there, you can't just sit at a dirty table that hasn't been sanitized!" in front of everyone. Well disciplined staff with a stern attitude. I appreciated the talk down. Well deserved.

My daughters hockey team was playing in a tournament in Hope. They decided to go to Rollys for lunch in between games. The staff were amazing and VERY patient having 12 kids and all the parents come rushing in at no notice! The food was good and the service was exceptional!

Great place for Super Seniors.....Small portion except fries. Beef dip had 4/5 slices of beef in what looks like a hot dog buns. Coleslaw on plate was soggy. Not worth the drive off Hwy. Sorry.....I'm a foodie... disappointed. 3/10 ....points are for the waitress.....she was good.

We walked here from our motel after a long day's driving when we were looking for a casual meal. It's an old fashioned diner with the usual burgers and sandwiches, along with a few interesting-sounding entrees. I had the New York steak dinner. Although the meat wasn't the most tender, it was perfectly cooked to order (medium-rare) and the salad and vegetables it came with were wonderful. My wife ordered a poached salmon dinner, which I thought was risky, but it was a fantastic meal - a big piece of salmon served with vegetables that she enjoyed very much. Was it the best meal we've ever had? No, but for $42 plus tip it was a great value for a really good meal.

It has been well over 20 years since we've been into this restaurant. The interior was very clean and welcoming. There were 5 of us and they were able to seat us without issue. The food and serve were both very good. All orders arrived quickly and correctly and the food was very good. Good portion sizes too. Will try not to wait as long for another visit.

Rolly’s is a Staple in Hope. Food is always fresh and delicious and service is always great. It’s a charming restaurant with quirky old fashioned diner style decor, but it is IMMACULATELY Clean which is so important. Never had a bad experience. Make sure to try the pie!!

This restaurant is great. Diner style. The food is delicious. Especially the Yorkshire Rarebit. The staff are friendly. We always stop here on our trips in and out of the lower mainland from the Okanagan. It's a nice stop on the long drive and has spectacular views. There isn't much else in Hope for restaurants, aside from fast food, but Rolly's makes up for it as there isn't anywhere else I would rather eat in Hope.

Didn't get to eat here... Arrived on a Thursday at 12:10 for lunch. There were 2 seatings of 3 ahead of our seating of 3 people. We waited 10 minutes. A bus load of people (about 20-25) arrived and began to get seated. I asked where we were at on the list... Did the bus have priority. I was advised that yes they had priority as they had a reservation. I was on a 1 hour lunch break from work. I just wish they would have said something when I arrived, I could have saved myself some time and gotten to eat lunch.

This is a super classic small town diner experience, only serving classic breakfasts with absolutely no frills. Serving sizes are big and hearty, it's pretty busy and the servers are nice. Flat Earth society meets here weekly across the restaurant from geometric star mobiles made of atlas pages that suggest the Earth is anything but flat, or round for that matter.

I don't come here too often but even I know that the breakfast here is to die for. The ambience is cozy and retro, the food isn't perfect but just the right amount of good to want more. The service is...okay, and by that I mean they're not flat-out rude or condescending but...ya know literally every diner in existence always has room for improvement anyways. Great place, great food, would recommend highly.

I've been here 3 times for breakfast because my partner's family comes here. I personally do not like it at all. The food is like... cheaply made. Kinda thrown together with a whatever attitude. Portions are small. Idk it's just bland, crappy ingredients right out of a can. Dont go here if you're a "foodie".

Clean, friendly place. Lots of options on the menu. We got the beef stir fry and the seafood alfredo and unfortunately both meals were very, very bland. Maybe just bad picks? Either way, not outstanding. The pie was fantastic though! They pile it high with delicious soft serve ice cream-- well worth it. :)

First off I would like to compliment the kitchen on the amazing food . Now the waitresses absolutely appalling service harrassed to order, then when I did order I asked for spinach to be added to my meal and she looks at me "where did you get spinach from" just rude then tried to take my plate when I wasn't finished, even after I said I wasn't she said "you are now". Now the topper a gentleman walks in and asked to be seated . He is clean buy carrying a bag and some other items nothing threatening. She says I have to ask the manager. They seat him then he orders food which they reluctantly take his order then proceeded to point and make snide remarks about the man while he is eating . All said and done he finishes his meal and sits quietly while they stare and Point and make comment . My fiance and I finish eating our meals disgusted with the way the man had been treated. Keep in mind we are both in the service Industry and have served all types of people. We go to pay the bill my wife pays out bill and then I ask the server "I would like to pay that man's bill please and thank you" and she replied "you know I'm okay with that we're probably going to get ripped off anyways. I pay looking down at the server then walk over to the gentleman introduce myself and shake his hand and let him know his bill has been taken care of and hope he enjoys the rest of his night.

Was at Rolly's today, staff are excellent, service great, food is good, my only complaint, is the noise, between the racket coming from the kitchen, and chatter noise from customers, you pretty much go just to eat. Popular local spot easily accessible from the Hwy. There was a constant flow of Parton's coming in as we were there around 4pm. Most tables filled. I can't imagine how busy this place is during peak hours. Staff: courteous but not overly friendly. Bathroom: ladies restroom was clean. We'll maintained Parking: lots of parking available beside restaurant. We had a great view of our car from the table we were seated at. Food: we ordered bacon cheddar burgers and the Swiss burger. My lunch dates were happy with the fries. I wasn't. But the burgers were good. Mine (Swiss with mushrooms) was perfectly charbroiled. The burger was huge and filling so my disappointing fries were happily devoured by my companion and I was still pleasantly full from the burger. Came in on a recommendation. Was worth the visit ????

I love Rolly's restaurant. My fiancé, cousin and I where passing through the town of hope. We stop at Rolly's restaurant it was very busy and they greeted us with kindness and warmth very welcoming. Liz was our server and she was on the ball considering it was very busy. I had the burger and wings, the burger was exactly what I wanted it to taste like, just great. My fiancé and his cousin also enjoyed their meals too. The price was great and the food came out pretty fast. I loved the customer service we received from Liz and the other staff members. If you are in the town of Hope you must stop by at Rolly’s. Please keep in minded on the time of year, this place is busy but it is worth the wait.

Ok So this is a Classic 1970s Diner/restaurant...You get a table or a bench and some might fine service and food.. The helpings are a good size and the price is fair and the staff outstanding. There are some unique items on the menu that you do not see that often anymore. You have to travel off the beaten track a slight bit but only 5 minutes from the highway. Enjoyed dining here with my family. Glad they have an activity sheet for my toddler to doodle on. Rolly's burger is good with a hefty serving of fries. Ordered the kids meal(goes with drink and cookie) for my toddler but server forgot to give the drink that goes with it and just left the cookie on our table. Quite disappointing on that part. Overall, we enjoyed the feel of eating in a local diner as we were just passing thru the town.

We stopped here LOOKING for an old school diner. Reviews were absolutely correct. I’m not sure what was better…the apple pie or the carrot cake. Both were old school AF. We also had the chocoholic cake. It was good as it’s namesake, but I’m getting old and grumpy and too much chocolate is just too rich for me. The 5oz bacon cheeseburger, “…the best burger I’ve ever had.” Food and service were impeccable. The men’s washroom was completely renovated at the time we went. The women’s is next, I’m sure…it needs it. Else this would have been a 5star

Decided to try Rolly's for the first time while driving through. Pulled into full parking lot and it was clearly busy. However we were seated right away. Staff was friendly and prompt. Had the recommended chicken stir fry and found it was very good. Their pies come from a farm in Salmon Arm so tried the sour cherry pie. For a bought pie I thought it was pretty darn good. I would rate it a 7.5 out of 10 and in the top 5 bought pies I have ever had. In and out in an hour which was good for a busy evening. We had a great experiance, will definitely go back.

Great food here and friendly staff. HOWEVER, beware of the old lady that takes your money when you pay your bill. She is not on the ball and I'm sure this restaurant looses a lot of money because of her. Two very upset people had billing issues while I was there, and one man paid for a sandwich and left with nothing. Not the first time either.

Too crampt and too many people trying to pay at the Till and trying to get a table there were atleast7 people at one time not social distancing awaiting to pay their bill paying customers waiting by our table practically standing on me. not enforcing or giving customers hand sanutiser . Stopped here for breakfast on the way to Manning Park. Service was excellent, the waitress was very friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was definently the best I've had in a while. Everything was great, my only complaint was to maybe use a higher quality egg. The real whipped butter, maple and berry syrups were a nice touch.

I honestly don't know what the great reviews are about. The hostess was friendly; however, after that the waitress & person filling waters (on this hot day) pretty much ignored us. My sandwich was a joke. One half barely had any meat on it (I almost returned it immediately) the other half was borderline acceptable. The fries were nothing special. I won't be going back.

Being European I'd describe the atmosphere as pretty much a local small-town American restaurant that you see on the movies meets the Canadian element. Pretty decent diner, very retro - it's like a blast from the past. Well maintained interior and washrooms. Plenty of parking out front. The menu is simple, typical diner food, but well made. One of those places you would come to for something simple - or if you have a hangover. They do breakfast as well as burgers and steaks. The clam chowder was decent and their burgers well done.

On Sunday June 3 we decided to go to rolly's for a late lunch . I ordered 2eggs over easy and my daughter had 2 eggs medium poached. We got our food my eggs were hard and my daughters eggs were also hard by the time anyone came to our table we had eaten the hash browns and the girl when we told her she went back to get us more eggs instead of making a new breakfast . When she brought the eggs back to us mine were cold and of course by this time my toast is hard and cold and my daughter just ate 1of her poached eggs as her toast was also cold and cold. When I went to pay and told the hostess all she said was that's to bad that doesn't usually happen the least she could have done was take off the price of the eggs. Never again will I go there or recommend it to anybody that comes to visit. If they had a minus rating that is how I would rate the food. Paying $ 9.95 plus tax for something that was not even edible . The hash browns were good even though they were lukewarm

An awesome diner-style establishment. Our usual stop when passing through Hope back to Vancouver. Very nice staff, quick and friendly service, very convenient location, and you can almost always get a table without any wait. The Spanish burger is one of my favorites, and they do a good beef dip too with thick slices. Get a slice of pie to go or you'll regret it in half an hour when you're stuck in unavoidable hwy1 traffic.

Chicken strips were undercooked, but they cooked more which were good. Alot of fat in the roast beef sandwich, but flavor was good. Polite staff.

Went to Rolly's yesterday. Service good. Ordered a ground steak (hamburger steak). Good salad - crispy & cold. Main meal - mashed potatoes (good), coleslaw, (good) cooked frozen veggies - not good. But the hamburger was one of those pressed pieces of cardboard that you buy in bulk from Superstore/Save on Foods etc. If you have ever made the mistake of buying them, you know what I mean. Yuck! They cant make their own ground beef burger? Wouldn't go back.

Rolly's Restaurant is the best place for a terrific meal in Hope B.C.. My family and I always look forward to stopping at Rolly's when we're passing through town. It's truly a highlight of our trips. Although they're always busy, it's worth waiting for their awesome food and service.

Solid diner! The kids burger is hard to beat, value wise, and my wife's beef liver and onions was good... And I don't really like liver! Given how close it is to Memorial Park, it's a good stop for a bite to eat after letting the kids go burn some energy at the playground.

Very good family food. Retro vibe is the right way to describe. Washrooms clean. We were asked all along our vist how our meal was. Nice. Drinks kept topped. Have been coming a few times before and always satisfied. One note though, one server lady wasn't too keen on having another table added to her section but that's likely because it had been a very busy day. I'm sure owner will ensure servers attitudes don't ruin customer experience in the future. Remember customers are not an inconvenience, they are the reason Rolly's IS in business. But again it was handled by the owner (i think) very quickly and quietly. The gent that served us was awesome and efficient! We will be back for sure

I must say this is a great place to come for breakfast and if you're in the mood for anything else on the menu, it is also available all day! The food is good at decent prices but the service is the best. They are all attentive and kind. This is definitely a place I'll visit next time I'm passing through Hope. The Hashbrowns and French toast were made exactly to my liking. Not greasy or over salted with the right amount of crisp.

Ok so to start I like my steak blue rare. I hate ordering steak from dinners cause it normal is raw or med. Ruins my breakfast. This place told me to order it rare on the blue side. It was amazing better cooked than most fine dinning places it was a heck of a meal. We also got deep fried pickles holy cow the best I've had. Go there eat price was way too low lol. I loved it. Excellent breakfast, would be better if they had alternatives to bacon such as turkey strips or chicken sausages. Our server wasn't very upbeat on that Sunday morning but nevertheless professional. Facilities are clean and there is ample parking to accommodate our larger truck.

I didn't eat my burger because I was grossed out by the grey meat patty that was obviously from frozen. The food is comparable to the restaurant "the pantry" its decent food aside from the grey patties. The burgers at the restaurant "the home" are way better.

This joint is hoppin' on weekends and in summertime so be patient, because this food is worth the wait! Rolly's is a Hope landmark. Pick whichever breakfast you fancy, just make sure you include a side of flapjacks. I know you're in a rush to fill up your gas tank, take a quick pic with Sly Stallone, and get to where yer goin', friends. But believe me, take a break, have a cuppa joe and some classic diner fare at Rolly's and start (or end) your road trip right!

When I got to Hope on my motorcycle I was hungry and cold. I've been to this restaurant before and it's like going to Grandma's house. The best part besides my beef dip what's the friendly service from the 1960s. The lady who served me even tried to find me a place to stay. She said if I had a yard I'd be welcome to pitch my tent in it. Food was great price was great people were great
