Food is good, price fair but I carried my own container for lunch to reduce waste and they would not sell if the food is not served on their disposable container. I don't understand, they would save money on materials and my conscious would be calm. They have to serve the food anyway, they just had to use my container instead of theirs.

I love grabbing my pizza dough here. The pizza always comes out better than if I had used Fortinos dough. The staff are really friendly and there is lots of space plus wheelchair accessible. I've never had issues shopping here, even during COVID when everything was locked down. This place was great!

The bakery is pretty fantastic and I find the produce to be a little more fresh at times compared to other grocery retailers. The hot bar has excellent lunch menus with some pretty fair prices. They also have a little sushi counter. The freezer section also carries great bulk items to stock to on.

The food here is great. For large or small parties, they have all the favorites. Love their cabbage roles, meatballs of many sizes and fresh bread and buns baked daily. Great selection of luncheon meats.

I usually have a great shopping experience at this mountain location but unfortunately this last time I was very disappointed. The young lady making and organizing the pizzas for the busy Sunday morning rush was touching her face repeatedly. She was touching her eyes and mouth area without wearing any gloves. I was disappointed and decided to leave my pizza behind. I didn't want the young lady to be reprimanded, but she should have some additional food handling training.

They have a great variety of buns and cold cuts, there is more cold cuts then I can imagine they have meals that you can buy like pizzas that they make which are pretty good. They sell a whole bunch of other cool stuff like cases of the pop shoppe pop. I'm not from Hamilton so I'm not sure how hard those are to find but in my area they're rare. They have salads and their own lineup of frozen foods you can buy and cook at home which are pretty good also, the staff were friendly and the store itself was pretty clean other then a few buns on the ground near the bakery section, no big deal.

Fresh bakery and bulk up whatever you want. Big deli section and cheese. Mostly focused around fresh and very limited selection of dry goods. But they have essentials and you are able to do full grocery shopping here. Very surprised to see no name brand here. Only one item tho. It was aluminum foil and priced for 99 cents. Probably not a regular item carried here. No real public washroom but staff allowed us to use staff washroom at the back. Very friendly and very courteous.

Great place to get your frozen meals and dishes. Spacious, parking is limited so enter the south entrance and exit the north entrance. My wife likes their cabbage rolls and we also like some of the quick meals such as lasagna. A great place to explore and discover meals that you didn't know about.

Zarky's is a Hamilton Italian grocery chain specializing in homemade prepared food, bread and meat. They make their own frozen meals for sale including lasagna, canneloni, pierogies, stir-fry chicken, stews, soups, mac+cheese. There is a deli counter, and a hot/cold food station serving custom order sandwiches, salads including pasta salad. They make their own red sauce pizza and white pizza. They also sell packaged groceries. Their food is delicious. There is also a bakery which serves fantastic rolls, pizza buns and cheese breadsticks. I will say the bread tends to go stale quickly and the cheese bread feels greasier then it used to be. It is a pricier shopping experience however it is reflected in the quality of the goods acquired. Great spot for all things Italian foodwise. Bueno!

As I entered Zarky’s today I was taken aback at how the store looked. The produce aisle was filled with fruits and vegetables that were ready for the recycle bin. Floors were filthy. The upright refrigerator and freezer cases had multiple finger prints all over their handles, who knows when someone last wiped them down. I witnessed multiple staff members handling a wide assortment of products without gloves on. Not sure how often they wash or sanitize their hands in between handling of said products. As I tried to navigate my way around the store and tried to keep the prescribed 6 feet social distance by public health. I was met with multiple staff members wizzing by me, mere inches away from me, without even an “excuse me”, so I could have at least had the opportunity to move out of their way. I had, had enough and I just wanted to get out of the store. I went to cash out and while I was waiting my turn to do so, the cashier told me to begin unloading my items ready to be scanned. To my dismay she began scanning my items immediately, sending them down the conveyor belt towards another customer items. The same customer who was trying to hurriedly pack her purchases before my products pressed against hers. I found this to be extremely rude. It was not like anyone was behind me in line waiting. Then when I was using the debit card machine to pay for my purchases, the cashier in the cubicle next to my cashiers cubicle decided to exit her cubicle next to me, not once but twice to socialize with a coworker. She didn’t even say excuse me, so that I could move out way. As such, as she squeezed by me I felt her body brushing up against mine. As she reentered I caught her doing so out of the corner of my eyes so I moved out of her way, again no acknowledgment or excuse me please. As I was packing my items, the same cashier exited her cubicle again, and again returned to her cubicle, this time with a coworker in tow. Once again neither the cashier or her coworker said, “excuse me”. This time the coworker bumped into me. At this point I was so annoyed, I just wanted to get out of the store ASAP. I used to enjoy shopping this location in the past. I always found the produce to be too notch, the store clean, and the staff courteous and friendly. Sadly, this is no longer the case. After today’s experience I have decided that I will not be returning to this location to shop, in near or distant future.

Apparently asking to have your pizza sliced is a big deal. Ladies at pizza counter talk about other customers as I was waiting. When I didn't smile at Tammy for slicing my pizza she proceeded to announce to her coworkers that she didn't receive another smile that day. My no smile was because she made my request seem like an inconvenience and I think worker's opinions about customers should be kept to themselves. Great products but attitude gets a thumb down.

Purchased 1st time frozen entrees and piece of paper wrapper was in the meal, not appetizing to discover this in the meal. Butter Chicken in rich creamy sauce with authentic spices. Thought it was a piece of chicken but did not look right removed it from the meal & unraveled it to see it is paper.Would I buy it again , no in fear of what is in a next one. I have taken pics of the paper in my meal.

Pretty good all around. God love the independent grocery store. You won't find almond milk or some other newer must have items, but for dinners,meats and so forth it was pretty good. Produce was mixed but when isn't it?

a few weeks ago I shopped here for the first time and was absolutely thrilled to find so many amazing pre cooked meals. was suggested to me by multiple people and I am so glad I went. I bought multiple frozen and non frozen dishes to try and I absolutely loved each one. very convenient for when you don't want to cook, the chicken alfredo pasta was amazing. the Mac and cheese was the best Mac and cheese I've ever had hands down. THE PEANUT BUTTER BROWNIE IS A MUST. I could go on forever the food here was 100%. I was looking for a specific cake, two bakery ladies were extremely kind and helpful as I told them I had never been there before. the cashier was also very friendly and understanding and I very much enjoyed my visit here.

Love this place!! First time in there and I fell in Love!! You walk in and it smells like Grandmas baking day, their prices are affordable and they make a lot of homemade stuff, we bought peach pie and Honey & Garlic nuggets.. One of the best for bakery items and deli meats in the Hamilton area. All pastas are fresh made in house and all buns, breads and pastries are fresh baked which is awesome. They always seem to have odd deals on various things then once that item runs out they bring something else in at blow out pricing. Always worth a quick look around to see. Good place to work as well. Oh and the in house sausages are top notch, best honey garlic ones I've had.

There is always a great selection of specials, they may be one time available items but at least you get to try new things at a reduced price and can decide if you want to buy it again there or somewhere else. The store is always clean, good quality bakery, produce and meats. Staff is always helpful and pleasant. Only place I shop for lunch meats and cheese. Highly recommend Zarky's.

Variety of food items, can be a bit on the pricey side, but always fresh buns and produce. Deli section and pre portioned meals for your perusal. Worth a gander

A great place for quick shopping. They don't have the largest variety, but the pricing is good. Many items have deep discounts, but you have to be careful and check the expiration date, especially if you're going to buy in bulk. I'm a fan of their bakery. Always fresh. The croissants are good, but don't expect them to be the same as one's you buy in Paris. Staff are very friendly over there. A good grocery store in the neighborhood in my opinion.

Surprise! They have a sushi bar that is delicious. The sushi chef will make it up for you if they are out of your favorite. Otherwise lots of frozen item and prepared foods to pick from for easy meals. The fresh breads are yummy. Friendly staff.
