We had Genuine Bakery cater our wedding in 2015 and it was so good that we've been looking for another excuse to have them cater for us. Today we had them cater my mother-in-law's 60th birthday and there is so much food leftover! The prices are reasonable and the serving sizes are more than enough. It was delicious and they did our event despite having a fire earlier this week. I highly recommend them. Good, home-cooked food!

A family member lost her husband yesterday and in lieu of flowers, I wanted to have some meals delivered to her instead. Sandy at Genuine was a huge help - putting together my delivery order and when I told her the reason I was sending food, she so graciously offered to go to the store herself to get a sympathy card to send along with my delivery. How is that for customer service?! I was very appreciative! Thank you Sandy for your help and kindness! I won't forget it! ❤

I'm so glad I found this place and right in my neighborhood! I love the fragrance of fresh baked goods when you walk inside, the staff is friendly and the pricing is very reasonable. Though the selection of baked goods is small, the buns, buttertart squares, Nanaimo bars and cinnamon buns are good.

Melt in your mouth lasagna freshlu made at the hot table. Pairs with a bun. Around a $5.00 meal which is tough to find these days. Tasty fresh bread every day!

Found this place after searching online for caterers in my area. We ordered chicken cutlets and 2 types of lasagna for Christmas Day dinner. One cheese and spinach lasagna, as my wife is a vegetarian, and one meat lasagna. I was told to pick it up at some point during the day on Christmas Eve. When I got there I was greeted by a nice older man named Len. He told the boy who puts the orders together, Francis, to please collect my order for me. My order was ready when he said it would be ready. The instructions he gave me for how to heat up the food the next day for Christmas Day dinner couldn’t have been easier and worked out great. My guests raved about the food. What a hit! I wish I could order every meal from this place. Thanks to everyone at Genuine bakery for making our Christmas dinner special and delicious.

My experience with this company was very poor they catered our senior building Christmas dinner and it was disgusting when you ask and pay for Turkey dinner with fixings and they send you pressed Turkey roll no gravely and serve vegetables 15mins after the meal not enough dinner rolls or butter were suppose get choice of pumpkin pie or Apple pie apple they couldn't serve it was frozen so they had to cut rhe pumpkin pie slices smaller to mKe sure everyone got desert i have never bin so disgusted they charged us 25.00 per plate and was 75 of us never again

Nothing but compliments from guests this past weekend. Everyone loved the food at our son’s first birthday party. We fed 70 adults & 20 kids with plenty left over for lunches. Our lunch included chicken cutlets, sausage with peppers & onion, roasted potatoes, green salad and sausage buns. Even the salad dressing was delicious! We have already booked genuine bakery to cater our don’s baptism this summer.

The food is great but the containers are not meant for hot sauce food as you see the container literally fell apart and was such a mess. The penne n meatballs as described on the board comes with one meatball. Not plural. You have to pay extra for another meatball. The staff was adamant about my mask but the guy in the back dealing with food did not have a mask. In response to your response I did not appreciate being told I was rude twice by the lady who served me because I pointed out the correction to be made.

Unfortunately We had an issue with our order (Holidays are a busy and crazy time so it's quite understandable that an oversight happened... we're all human. ) they fixed the issue we had and was very courteous. Genuine Bakery is a Hamilton treasure. I felt a dear friend could use a little bit of cheering up and, in true Italian fashion, thought food might do the trick. Spoke with Len who was sympathetic and graciously took charge. He arranged for a superb assortment of wonderful piping hot specialties to be delivered. i should have written this some time ago. we had a family function of about 30 ppl and wanted to really enjoy the day with no cooking . Genuine Bakery had done a couple wakes for our family in the past and this time we were celebrating a graduation in early june of this yr. I must say they delivered well beyond expectations. The quality of the food and the reasonable pricing made it a huge success. The food arrived right on time and all was piping hot! Guests today still comment on how impressed they were with the food that day (sausages, lasagna, roasted chicken potatoes salad etc.) i would not hesitate to give them our business again. if i could give 6 stars i would. thank you

Perhaps if your looking for breads it maybe good but certainly it was disappointing to see literally a hand full of baked goods. We had cannoli and it tasted like shells perhaps had been frozen they were not crunchy but filling was good. We bought 4 kinda small ones and that's all they had. I'm sure their breads were good but we didnt try them. This rating based only on baked goods selection and experience we had.

Absolutely unacceptable ,Had dinner menu catered for 21 people ,I'll start with the Greek salad, Delivered but no Dressing,Peas and mushrooms were rock hard, and i mean rock hard, the guests that did put it on their plates did not eat it ,the rest went in the garbage, the roasted potatoes were white ,not roasted at all, The chicken cutlets were bland with little taste ,some parsley, lemon and parm cheese would have cost little, and gone a long way in terms of taste, for $461 this meal seemed to everyone that they rushed through it just to get it done, which again is unacceptable ,We along with every guest were very disappointed .Will never have anything to do with Genuine Bakery again !!!

Five stars isn’t enough. This place has withstood the test of time. It’s been there for decades. Of course for a reason. Staff is wonderful. Food is incredible. The catering services are mind blowing in terms of the amount of food for such a reasonable price. When you can cater for a group of old school Italians without hearing any complaints. You’re doing something right.
