Where to begin?! Can't say enough positive things about City Farm! They made our wedding weekend unforgettable! Not only are they such a talented team, but they are incredible and down to earth people. In the early stages, Amanda, Chef Scott and Quinn all came to our property to meet us, have a look at the grounds and make suggestions. They made us feel so comfortable. It was so easy to work with them. They are knowledgable, true professionals and very kind. Communication was amazing as Amanda would always return my calls/texts right away and talk me through any questions we had. Quality of the food was BEYOND AMAZING as well! We had their Snack Shack (burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, poutine) for a Friday BBQ for our rehearsal dinner and our guests were obsessed. The staff were SO friendly and lovely to work with! They also catered our Saturday wedding day! The pizzas, antipasto, and 3 course meal were all so delicious ...so much so that our guests are STILL talking about it. Quinn was absolutely wonderful in helping us stay on track during the dinner service. She is a superstar! No regrets about the length of this review! Wish I could say more. We would 10000% recommend City Farm to anyone looking for the most memorable food experience! Thank you Amanda, Chef Scott, Quinn and EVERYONE at City Farm!!!

Chef Scott Bailey and his City Farm team created a magical evening for us. We had a cocktail party under the stars, and the menu was remarkably imaginative. Every bite was delicious and beautiful in equal measure. Chef worked with us seamlessly to modify the fabulous menu, as needed for any dietary needs. Over the last year my husband and I have had to reschedule our wedding twice and ultimately had to cancel it. Scott and Amanda were more than understanding and worked around all our changes. When we decided to have an intimate ceremony of 10 people, they made individual boxes of food for our guests to take home with them. We can’t say enough great things about city farm! We hired City Farm to cater our backyard wedding & It was perfect. Amanda was so helpful & responsive throughout the whole process. We were planning during Covid, which was a challenge in itself but Amanda was so understanding & supportive. We were able to organize and get everything in order within the week, and it turned out amazing. We opted for the plated option which was lovely, as the food was cooked on site with their mobile kitchen! All our guests absolutely loved the food, and overall hospitality. Can’t begin to describe. My experience with this company was short and not sweet. I inquired their services about 5 months ago, for my small wedding (60 people). I spoke to them and was told they were very short staffed and because of that they would have to close the place in order to bring their staff to the event. He told me “it’s just a small wedding it’s not worth it” this is not only offensive but he gave me an absurd estimate $$ for closing the restaurant on top of the costs for servers and the food itself. Recently, while in conversation with someone that knows the owners personally, they decided to call and see how the conversation would go this time around. The owner’s wife picked up and nicely said that if we only had booked it a month ago, the date would’ve still been available. That’s when it was explained we actually called 5 months ago and all the things that were discussed. She seemed confused since it was all an absolute lie and they have plenty of staff. I do not know if it’s because the wedding is small and “not worth it” or what happened there because I just cannot understand what would bring a business to act that way. As a Funeral Director and business owner myself, i am absolutely shocked by their cocky and unprofessional approach towards potential customers. You should know word of mouth is HUGE and you never know who’s on the other side of the phone when you first pick up that phone… Was it not worth it because less people means less money? Charging a minimum amount, would it matter if it’s 10, 60 or 100 people? You could’ve made the same amount of money as a bigger wedding, using less staff, less product and doing less work. Very disappointing to see…

Poutine was great, the Philly Cheesesteak Calzone so yummy and the fried chicken A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Just going for a walk now so we can eat more when we get home. Lol We regret not trying it before! Getting married in a pandemic? Give City Farm a deposit and receive nothing for it! Unfortunately we booked City Farm for our May 2020 wedding, that had to be moved like so many others. We originally thought to move it a year out, but in November we decided that we couldn't in good conscience still hold a reception for 65 people in the spring of 2021, so we have 100% cancelled our reception (now doing outdoor ceremony only for 50). Thus far, City Farm is the ONLY vendor that has not returned our deposit (out of 13 others), citing their non-refundable policy on the agreement we signed. Yes, we signed an agreement for a wedding meal. We definitely signed that well before a global pandemic hit causing a shift in priorities and civic responsibilities, and now, City Farm is holding onto $1300 of our money, while providing absolutely zero service thus far. Anyone else out there had this experience? I'm sure the food is great here, and we were both so excited for our wedding meal, but this business' concern for people in a crisis has left me quite wanting.

Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection! If I require a catering company in the future I definitely plan to use City Farm Catering!

We had the pleasure of having City Farm cater our wedding. The food and service was absolutely incredible. Our guests raved about how delicious the food options were, and continued to do so for many days later (many noted how good the Mac and Cheese Fritters and the Fried Chicken on a Hotcake were). The servers made sure that our guests were full well into the night, passing hors d’oeuvres, assembling a beautiful antipasto table, and serving pizza as a late night snack. CF is a reliable vendor that cares about quality, taste, and doesn’t cut corners. If you value this kind of service, as we did, look no further than City Farm Catering.

Ordered through City Farm for our Christmas work lunch this year and boy we did not regret it! Amanda and the staff were extremely helpful, quick to get back to me regarding any questions I had. The food was excellent and came with great portions, the Brie Mac n Cheese with onion Jam was a huge hit! All I can say is WOW! City Farm Catering you knocked it out of the park. We celebrated my mom 60th birthday and City Farm Catering did all the food. Our menu was Stationary Platters , they came in set up, brought all the food, plates and utensils, came back the next day to pick up their equipment. What a treat! I have nothing but amazing things to say about City Farm Catering. My husband and I were engaged for three years (partly our choice, partly due to the pandemic) and I was stressed having to hire vendors without the chance to meet them personally. Amanda and the team came highly recommended and I could not have been more thrilled with our choice. I believe the two things guest remember from the wedding is the food and the music and everyone RAVED over the menu (the pork belly sliders and late night poutine were favourites). Last weekend at the wedding we were getting some weather from Hurricane Ida. Although it did not rain (thankfully), we did get some heavy winds. At one point it knocked over most of our glass votives for the candles. My wedding designer was frantically trying to clean up glass before guests came to take their seats and I was told the City Farm team stopped to help her and make sure everything was cleaned up. I think that speaks VOLUMES! You really want vendors that are invested and want to make your day amazing. City Farm is definitely one of those vendors that goes above and beyond!

Okay so first let me begin the most amazing journey I had picking up the food. City Farm's team is the most efficient and friendliest service I have experienced at a restaurant in Hamilton. When you call that you are curbside they freshly fry the fries and chicken to order, and it is outstanding!!! Way better than Nique fried chicken if you have tried the Tuesday special and if you can get a hold of them. It's definitely worth the wait to eat chicken on the weekend from City Farms. Next might I add the presentation and flavourful profiles coming out of here! Outta this world team, extremely well done! We will be inquiring for our next event as well as a wedding that has been long overdue throughout these times. Amanda was incredible, she is so patient (I made some changes to the order about 3 times) and just so friendly and kind...Super great to deal with....they had already won me over at the beginning, even before I tried the food. Food delivery was on time - like to the DOT, and Quinn and Brandon were so awesome...they set all the food up and organized the special requested meals and were super fun and nice to chat with. Now time for the taste testing...BLOWN AWAY....how can such a simple little green salad taste so amazing? Everything was perfection... . So do I recommend City Farm Catering to anyone else? Amanda, Scott and the entire City Farm Catering team are AMAZING! From our initial phone consultation with Amanda we immediately knew we wanted City Farm Catering to be a part of our day. She was very responsive and personable, paid high attention to detail, and constantly went above and beyond for us. We wanted our food to be an experience that reflected “our vibe” rather than “traditional” wedding food. The presentation of the food was so creative, from the appetizers on large wooden boards, the entire plated meal and late-night burger bar, it not only looked beautiful but tasted even better! All our guests raved about how much they loved the food during the event (and after) and it was a big highlight of our night. We cannot recommend The City Farm Catering team enough!

We hired City Farm to cater our wedding 12/11/2021 and it was a highlight of the night! All of our guests raved about the food and said that the method of using stations was so much better than traditional service. Everyone was full and even took home leftovers! On a personal note, I have to say that their communication was exceptional and they took great care in working with the allergies and food needs of our guests. Hands down best wedding food I've ever eaten, with fantastic service. The staff on the day were efficient, professional, and kind. City Farm catered our wedding at the Hare Wine Co. this past weekend and we could not be more grateful we booked them, and in awe of how amazing they are. Simply put, if you are in need of a caterer for your event, these guys set the bar (and then surpass it). Our venue needed a mobile kitchen, and full staff to coordinate our big day. As we have never planned a wedding before, the logistics seemed daunting. From pre-planning to execution and tear down- we didn't have to think through anything. Amanda and Scott are wizards at this, and moved magically through each step so the only thing we were left to remember was how AMAZING the food and service was. Our guest RAVED about the food. The appetizer and meal selection was on point (it was almost too hard to choose), but even more so, what was actually delivered day of was better than we could have even asked for. The service was flawless - it was a stifling hot August evening and I don't think I saw anyone sit down once. They HUSTLED. They were gracious, nice and just awesome. period. Quinn timed the event like a true professional, and I honestly felt like I could ask her anything. My only regret is not going back and thanking the kitchen in person- because we certainly are SO thankful for all their hard work. ALSO - the late night sliders? Omg. We wish we could have those every weekend. We can't thank them enough, and if you are reading this - just.book.them. You won't regret it!

My husband and I recently had a small intimate backyard wedding and we hired City Farm Catering for the reception. Both my husband and I were beyond happy with the service they provided, and the food was PHENOMENAL. The entire team were so attentive and easy to work with through out the planning leading up to the wedding, and on the actual day. Every question was answered by the amazing Amanda, and they took the time to personalize any request we had! Every one of our guests were raving about the food, from the fried chicken appetizers to the elegant and DELICIOUS plated dinner service. Chef Scott even took the time to create a custom late night prochetta sandwich (my husband's favourite), and it was all our guests could talk about after it was brought out! I highly recommend this company to anyone who will listen to me, and I cannot give them enough praise. Our wedding was accompanied by a ton of rain, and the team worked effortlessly to ensure the meal went on without a single hiccup. We even had a mix up with the number of correct meals and they fixed the issue without a second thought!! I was not even aware of the problem until after the wedding was over. This company took the time and measure to make sure we were as stress free as possible and we were beyond grateful! They were professional, and followed all protocols in place to ensure every guest was safe and felt comfortable. The bartending service we also hired from them was exceptional and lovely to chat with throughout the night! I will definitely be working with this company in the future, and if you are looking for an unforgettable meal with the highest quality of service, City Farm is the business you are looking for! For 2019 Chistmas Holiday party season, I had the pleasure of working closely with Amanda and Scott from City Farm Catering for the company party for Burlington's Terrace Ford Lincoln dealership. The event was held on a Saturday evening at one of their preferred partners locations, West Avenue Cider House. To say they did an awesome job with everything would be an understatement! The planning process was easy, as they were very quick to respond and flexible to meet with us to explain the different options and prices. They even gave us an idea we hadn't even considered, which was to use food stations instead of a formal sit down dinner - we went in that direction and it was way more conducive to the fun, social atmosphere we were hoping for our employees! Did I mentioned the food was incredible!?! A tonne of compliments to Chef Scott and his team from so many guests - you definitely can't go wrong with anything on their menu... it's all to die for. Can't wait to have them as our caterer for future events!!

Even though we faced some obstacles during planning, the City Farm team would always reassure us we were in good hands - and we sure were. Quinn and the team took great care of us on our wedding day and everything went so smoothly. The food was such a hit - we had guests coming up to us at our wedding asking who the caterer was and countless friends reaching out to us after to tell us how good the food was! The Mac & Cheese Fritters, Dumplings, Fried Chicken Sliders, and late night Pizzas were show stoppers. Beyond the food being amazing - the people we worked with were lovely and we'd absolutely recommend City Farm to anyone looking to have slightly more modern, upscale, casual food at their wedding (though I know they offer tons of options for dining!!). We couldn't be happier with our experience and can't wait to order takeout from them next year.

Scott, Amanda, Quinn and all of the staff at CityFarm are absolutely outstanding. They catered our wedding on October 23, 2020 and we could not have asked for better food or service. Our guests (and us!) RAVED about the food. From the AMAZING apps, (like the mini corn dogs!) To the beef main and chocolate cake dessert as well as the late night pizzas we were so so so impressed as to how delicious it all was. Being a COVID bride was hard, but Amanda was so supportive and full of information on how to make our day beautiful. She even helped with the flow of the night and how speeches would work during dinner. We also have ordered a home delivered meal from them and it was delicious. We can’t wait to get more. From our first meeting with Amanda and Scott we knew we were in good hands and that our food for our wedding (one of the most important aspects in my opinion) was going to be a major highlight. Amanda and Scott are professional, yet approachable, helpful, quick to respond, and honest. They understand the stress of planning a wedding, especially during Covid and do everything in their power to make their clients lives easier. From the planning process, to the set up on the wedding day, to cocktail hour and then dinner, to bar service and then finally late night/clean up Scott’s team and his operations manager Quinn are exceptional! The entire staff is professional and they always have a smile on their face. All of my guests were over the moon with the entire experience. Now, to highlight the food. I have never been to a wedding where everyone, literally everyone raves about their entire meal. Firstly, the food came out hot, (we were in a tent) and it was 12 degrees and the temperature was only dropping. Secondly, portion size was extremely generous and the flavours were on point. Everything was delightful and the amount of choices there were for appetizers, starters, mains, dessert and late night was very generous. Lastly, the servers and bartenders ability to read the room and add on either extra bartenders or more servers to clear dishes in order to keep everything running smoothly was greatly appreciated. My husband and I cannot recommend City Farm Catering enough. Their farm to table mentality and passion for food is evident in their meals/service. Whether you need them for your wedding, a dinner party, baby shower, birthday party or just want to treat yourselves their team, and owners, Scott and Amanda Bailey will have your back! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our special day, perfect! They are the epitome of what my husband and I love about the resurging Hamilton culinary scene. Their food is centred around quality local ingredients brought together in a way that is simultaneously imaginative and approachable. It is no wonder why they have shot to such famed success in such a relatively short period of time. The people behind the scenes are also every bit what you would want them to be - Scott and Amanda’s styles and skill sets compliment eachother perfectly and everyone of their chefs, servers, and bartenders are so attentive and personable. I know my husband and I look forward to checking out one of their events at Shawn and Ed’s Brewery in the near future - I’ve heard they are awesome too.

My husband and I recently used City Farm Catering for our sons birthday party. Our 5+ star experience started from my initial contact with Amanda. She was quick to respond, helpful, and was very accommodating with any changes/additions I made. On the day of the party their staff were punctual, professional and extremely considerate. It’s the little things that make a big difference; since they would have to made a few trips in and out, one of the first questions they asked is if there were any pets they needed to be mindful of with the doors being opened. The food was REMARKABLE. Our theme was “high-end brunch” and Scott and his team over delivered. The ingredients were fresh and top quality. Our family is a picky and opinionated bunch of foodies who questioned my choice of having the party catered. By their second or third helping they were asking for City Farms contact info! Choosing Scott, Amanda and City Farm was the best decision I could’ve made and it took all the stress away from hosting the party and I got to enjoy it. I can’t wait to use them again and would highly recommend them for any of your catering needs!

Got takeout from here last night and it was amazing. I ordered the "My Cousin's Uncle" pizza, my wife ordered the brie and onion jam Mac & cheese, and we split kosher salt and chives fries. The pizza was a roman style pizza and it was amazing. The dough was great, nice and fluffy, very airy. The toppings were great as well. $25 seemed like a lot at first but I've had two full meals from it already and I still have a third of the pizza left to go. The mac and cheese was super rich and delicious. Only comment would be that the onion jam became a little overwhelming for my wife after a while but I would definitely order it again. The fries were great, maybe a little soggy from transporting them but can't blame that on anyone. My wife said they are probably in her top 2 in the city. Overall, it was a great meal, very hard to find anything wrong with it. For this type of food I wouldn't expect to get this much value for my money as well. The pizza is now one of my favourites in the city with Born and Raised, Maipai, Shorty's and Cowabunga's.

We hired City Farm Catering to cater our backyard wedding just over 2 weeks ago and we were beyond impressed with Chef Scott Bailey's food and the service by the team. From the very beginning Amanda and Scott were extremely organized and were able to accommodate all of our requests. We got married on the hottest day EVER (legit, it was recorded as the hottest day ever) and the team worked so diligently and was extremely professional. Chef Scott came up with a creative selection of healthy and delicious meals to keep things interesting over the long period. Amanda was fantastic to deal with, very quick to respond and able to accommodate our changes, dietary requirements, and last minute requests. Given the current climate, they had excellent Covid protocols in place from providing individually packaged meals and utensils to ensuring we had the same delivery person every time to help limit exposure. Each day we had meeting participants come up to say how delicious the food was. We will definitely be using City Farm in the future for our catering needs!

As a very selective consumer I do not recommend people lightly. I am absolutely thrilled with the level of service, attention to detail and overall presentation of the catering services of City Farm. Did I mention the food was absolutely spectacular?! Food is one of the most important items when hosting a party and the portions were so plentiful. I must mention that I was made aware of an allergy at my event last minute and I text Amanda and she got back to me right away with a response. Great job City Farm! Can’t wait to host another event or can I pretend to have an event and just order food for a month for me?! :)

City Farm catered our outdoor event with 70 guests. They were amazing! The arrived with lots of time for set-up and prep. Brandon and Graham were super friendly, organized and had a great set up. The food was outstanding! Beyond your regular BBQ, with a variety of options. Great value for outstanding cuisine. During this time it was great for each person to receive their food in their own personal container which was easy to eat from. And the containers were eco-friendly! We hope City Farm will be available for our next event. Thank you City Farm!

We ordered two pizzas from city farm catering and they were DELICIOUS! We haven’t ordered in pizza that amazing in a very long time. We will definitely be coming back and we’ve already recommended it to many friends. The pick up system was also very easy. Can’t wait to come back soon!
