Our son takes the Kids Cook Supper Club, he loves it. Chef Andrew is amazing with the kids and very funny. We ordered the ingredients from them and everything was fresh and delicious. Will be back and take a few classes myself!

I just did a virtual private group cooking class with Kitchen Door and what an absolutely fabulous experience. Chef Andrew made the evening so fun and everyone comfortable regardless of their skills in the kitchen. Through out there were many smiles and best of all delicious fresh spring rolls and pad thai for our group to enjoy together over zoom and connect as a team. If your looking for a group activity I highly reccomend checking them out!

Wow, do I love everything about KDC! Recently I visited Nova Scotia as part of a promotional travel tour of the Maritimes. I partnered with Kitchen Door as a sponsor for Halifax leg of the trip and I’m beyond thrilled to collaborate with such a cool company. First of and most important to anyone reading this review… THEIR FOOD! During a tasting event there, I chowed down on seafood chowder that was so tasty and flavorful. The only downside - it ruined any other chowder experience I had during my 2 week trip through the Maritimes.. Nothing compared. I also had their Lobster Roll (nothing compared on that one either!), Poutine (2 different versions that were amazing) and… get ready for it… a Donair. It’s a Nova Scotia treat and resembles a gyro with a sweet sauce twist. LOVED it! Their desserts are also amazing including the Blueberry Grunt - another Nova Scotia local delight. I also had a chance to try their sandwiches which, if you are a local.. Then you are lucky enough to roll in and grab a sandwich or any of the premade dinners that are on hand all day, every day! KDC also provided snacks for my going away shindig which were absolutely delightful - home made dipping sauces, fresh veggies, fruit, cheeses, meats - just delicious! I’m really hoping to get back to Halifax to take one of the cooking classes with Chef Ben. In addition to their amazing food, they are truly just an inspiring business. CEO and Owner, Patty Howard has built a truly impressive business and has gathered a team that operates as a top notch machine but seems to bond like a non-dysfunctional family (who knew there was such a thing, right?!)

Kitchen door went above and beyond! I attended Brunch 101 on Sunday, and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. What a fun way to spend a Sunday morning, either with a friend, or as a couple. We were warmly welcomed with mimosas and snacks. The menu was divine: a Spanish potato and onion tortilla, eggs benny from scratch, a bistro vinaigrette and an olive oil cake for dessert. To say we left full would be an understatement! The service was exceptional, and Chef Andrew was extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to attend a fun activity, or sharpen up their skills in the kitchen.

My 7 year old son, Lucas, has been taking weekly 'Kids Cook Supper Club' classes since the classes started about 4 weeks ago. He is normally a super picky eater, but learning how to cook has been a game-changer for him. Chef Andrew is SO great with kids - he takes the time to respond to each one, and they all feel included even though it is distanced learning. Lucas has been telling all of his friends and family about his Junior Chef classes - I have never seen him so proud of himself and so engaged in learning. It's the one night a week we all take the time to cook & eat dinner together, and it has been incredible for our family.

They catered our wedding 5 years ago and though the food and service were ok, they were not up front about all of the charges and we suddenly had to come up with an additional $2k!! The guests liked the food, but I would proceed with caution.

Brittany and the staff at Kitchen Door helped me plan my husband's 50th birthday party, right down to the last detail. We hosted the party for 60 people (45 adults + 15 children) in their bright and spacious location and even had room for a small band. It was perfect! We sent up a games and drawing space in their dining room area so the kids had a space to enjoy themselves while the adults chatted and listened to the band. We were also able to bring our own wine and beer, and they stored it for us onsite, chilling it before the party began. I can not recommend them enough - the food was INCREDIBLE, the onsite catering staff was so helpful, welcoming & professional, and the space was bright and well laid-out to provide a good flow of traffic for all our guests. 3 all-access, private bathrooms (with baby changing stations) was also a plus, with all the kids we had coming. Lots of parking and ease of access to the building (everything on one level) also made it perfect for our guests who had mobility issues. Thanks again, KD - it was an evening to remember!

If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would! My husband and I thought this would be a fun night to celebrate our 15th anniversary and we had a blast last night! The staff was amazing, the food was delicious and the overall experience was so much fun! We will definitely be coming back!

As a wedding photographer I come across A LOT of catering companies and I can without a doubt say that these guys are one of the best in the city by far. Every time we book a wedding and see that Kitchen Door is catering we get real excited. I have no idea how they make their meat so succulently delicious but even the now vegan me would give up her principles for it! The staff have always been professional, and the experience impeccable. I'm writing a blog post about our favorite wedding caterers in Halifax and this place will certainly make the list!

Ginger was amazing help throughout the entire covid wedding planning process. They provided chacuterie snack boxes for our cocktail hour wedding and they were a huge hit. One person said it was the best food they ever had at a wedding, and I personally cannot praise them enough. Highly recommend Kitchen Door.

Full disclosure, I've worked a couple catering shifts for these guys, but I wouldn't give my stamp of approval to them if it wasn't merited. They have awesome food to go. They are a well-oiled machine when it comes to catering events big and small. Their staff is friendly and always seems very happy. The food is high quality. They do these amazing cooking classes and even do regular cooking shows via Facebook live. If you want to see what they are about, be sure to check out their page. Tip: Get their fried wontons with one of their amazing dips. Yum!

Kitchen Door Catering is my go-to for corporate catering. They offer a fantastic menu for all occasions that is always fresh and aesthetically pleasing upon delivery. Not to mention every single staff member is helpful and friendly. Kitchen door has also achieved the unachievable when it comes to my ridiculously high-maintenance requests (not that you should make them work as hard as I do)! I would highly recommend them for any catering needs!

Kitchen Door is the most amazing company! From the moment I walked in the door they made me feel so welcome. Their new space by Dartmouth Crossing is so spacious, clean and bright. The cooking class I attended was phenomenal! The particular class I took, we just watched (demo and dine), but Chef Andrew was so friendly and knowledgeable and kept his audience engaged throughout. The food he prepared was so flavourful and delicious, I still use the recipes from this class! I would highly recommend attending a Kitchen Door cooking class! I can’t wait to try another one myself!

We hosted my 50th birthday party with my friends and family. Robyn, Andrew and the gang were wonderful to deal with, the environment was relaxed and we had such fun cooking and eating together. Beautiful location, the attention to small details like the chalked birthday sign to greet everyone and my Mexican-themed event included delicious appetizers and drink that everyone enjoyed. The staff at The Kitchen Door did a great job. I really appreciated that they were generous with the wine (although I was driving so one glass was good). I liked that they put our coats on the dining room chairs so our spots were marked. I could only imagine the confusion had they not done that. The chef was very good at getting his message across and he was very knowledgeable. The cooking hints were great. My wife and I learned a lot, our food came out great and very tasty. Cannot wait to go back.

Kitchen Door catered our office's 'Kick off to Pride' event - we simply asked for waffles with colourful toppings and the team delivered! With multi-coloured fruit toppings, and dyed whipped cream, our staff was floored! They were prompt, everything was very tasty, and they even went out and put rainbows on their tags! Definitely took care of the finer details which makes all of the difference!! THANK YOU!
