We have visited on Saturday around 6 pm. It was quite busy and there was only one waitress serving. Poor guy was running all the time. So I can not complain about the service since he was alone. Food was okay but not great. Kebabs were very dry. We ordered Syrian style kebab and kunefe which was the best part. We love it. There was another Family sitting next to us. The owner came and ask how is everything in Arabic, but he didn’t ask us at all. I don’t care whether they ask or not but He should’ve asked for us too. And during peak hour they must have more than 1 waitress. We sat total 2 hour and We ate in 15min and 1.15 hours we wait.

Our first visit to this new Mediterranean/Syrian restaurant, in the former Suzuki Sushi location. The food was excellent, and produced and served efficiently and nicely plated, which is impressive after being open such a short time (16 days!). However, between father and son in the kitchen they apparently have more than 45 years of cooking experience. The other son worked front of house and was both pleasant and skilled. The meze were delicious, and somewhat different from the usual. Loved the green beans. Falafel were crisp on the outside and moist inside. The spice balance in the lentil kofte was perfect according to my daughter, a lentil kofte connoisseur. And the lamb shanks melt in your mouth. I was also blown away by the pomegranate vinaigrette on the fatoush salad. I gather they’ve been very busy over the Christmas week, which is good to hear — they certainly deserve continued support. Highly recommended.

A nice cosy place, well laid out. Friendly service! A comprehensive menu with many great options. Many vegetarian options too. We had the lentil kofta wrap (which was amazing) and the falafel wrap. See pic. The wraps weren't dripping in sauce either, which was great to see. The fries were to die for.

I loved every single thing we ordered here. We started with a hummus with meat and then ordered Lamb Shank with smokey rice and salad and Turkish Yoghurt drink Ayran. The meat was very tender( falling off the bone very easily) and the rice was very flavorful. We loved the salad dressing and how it was nicely tossed ( I really hate it when restaurants only put a little amount of dressing and not toss it) The biggest surprise to me was the dessert Kunefe, it is my favorite Turkish dessert and 902 Restaurant is the only place in Halifax that does it the Turkish way ( with cheese , not muhallebia) just for this reason along I will visit this place regularly:) Lastly, our server was a very kind and friendly. Thank you 902 Restaurant for great service and delicious food!!!

I have never been to the restaurant and have been ordering online only, I wish thew would be on skip the dishes or uber dash so more people from halifax would know about this INSANE GEM of a restaurant! I have tried their Syrian style kebob and OMG! it is mind blowing delicious!!! their pomegranate sauce on top of the meat with grilled tomato and the pita underneath is absorbing all the saucy goodness is to mouthwatering! their saffron rice is another thing it is really GOOD! Whenever I am working late i would always order here, and their staff over the phone is super friendly. I would recommend this place 10/10 for food quality and quantity. Best of luck for this restaurant, you guys are doing great!!!

Everything here was so delicious and decent size portions. We ordered chicken shish and the kids loved it. We also ordered the lamb biryani and and beef shawarma platter. The lamb was perfect and shawarma platter was so good, I couldn’t get enough of the garlic sauce and hummus. Salad dressing was also amazing, I need to find that recipe to make it at home!

I love the fajita, but my recommendation is to serve it with few tortillas too. It is usually only served with rice, decreasing rice quantity and added tortillas would be good.

Very terrible experience. I tried 902 once before and loved it, so looked forward to trying it again tonight. We walked in and the one server who was working looked in our direction, did not acknowledge us, and looked away. He was standing in front of the order window doing nothing, waiting for food to come out. I can’t understand why he wouldn’t have come over and seated us, then went back for the food when it was ready. He did not even say hello or “I’ll just be a few minutes.” We thought maybe we were supposed to seat ourselves. So we sat down, and still he stood in front of the window, just waiting. We were not acknowledged at all during our 5-10 minutes there. We got up and left. Very terrible service. Perhaps having more than one server on duty would have helped.

The lunch menu items are very fairly priced. I had the lamb burger with a side salad. The burger was juscy and had a delicious garlic sauce on it. The salad dressing was also had a strong garlic flavour. The meal came with a dessert as well, some kind of coconut square. It was sweet and had very good flavour.

Nice place & good environment. I hear they just open recently so went with some friends to try out their menu. Their menu was looked good because it wasn't just focusing on one type of food recipes. They had food recipes from different part of the world for example Moroccan, Indian, Arabic. the food was delicious. We ordered six different dishes and tried them. Will recommend to others to tryout their new menu.

Food is great, but customer service is too bad, takes atleast 45 mins. to get on the table. Today it was horrible, waited for 50 mins. in the dining area after ordering . When I went to ask if the food is ready, the guy who took my order says you didn’t order? I was like are you serious? We asked him to give us plate of fries first and asked to bring other stuff, so he brought only fries first to us. Then he said other stuff will be ready in 25mins. When I went to the counter to check on other stuff we ordered, he said i thought you asked only for fries. One of the worst experiences, we were hungry and waited for 50mins, only to leave the restaurant empty stomach. Just paid for the fries and pop and left the store and I will never return to this restaurant.

A great place for a variety of Middle Eastern cuisine! Portion size to price ratio is excellent and the food is good. I always get one of the lamb dishes - especially the lamb shank. My friends get the other items on the menu and no one is ever disappointed. We made fun of one friend for getting Fajitas at a Middle Eastern restaurent, but he was actually quite pleased with the dish.

Very delicious and have a large menu of middle eastern variety. We tried most of their barbecue options and they were all good. Lamb chops were really well done. Rice was full of favour as well. If you go there you have to try their cheese konafa “akawi” which its serving size is plate size and can easily be shared by 2 to 4 people. Reminded me of Konafa i had in Istanbul.

If you want a Shawarma or great Syrian food when around downtown, it is the place to go. Meal sizes are great. My wife and I had a Shawarma plate together and almost were full. Leave some space for the $9.99 Kunafa with cheese that is freshly made. Yum Yum.

Ordered from the lunch menu for take out. Food was ready on time. But the lamb kofta was dry and cold. Chicken shish was okay. Would recommend dine in rather than take out. *Edited after misunderstanding cleared. When dining in, the service and food was good. The reason for the 2 stars is that when I ordered take out, we did not receive remotely the same amount of food that we got when eating in. I ordered the chicken shish, my take out only had 3 pieces, whereas when we dined in I had 6-7 pieces with my order. The lamb kofta was very dry and over cooked. Did not receive as much rice or salad as we did when we dined in. Food quantity was pathetic. Quality was not all that great either. I asked for the order to be ready for 1:15pm, went in to pick up at 1pm, rice was warm but the meat was cold.

Gigantic portion sizes, tasty food, and fantastic value combine to make this restaurant, the brainchild of Chef Abod alumni, a great place to sample some eastern Mediterranean cuisine. Friendly and helpful wait staff with great suggestions for our party. Would recommend the lamb shank with smokey rice and the kunafa (a gigantic pile of cheese and dough) for dessert. Not licensed unfortunately at the time we visited.

Nice little Mediterranean restaurant with menu full of options. Food was I would say on the good side but the expectations for the Roasted Lamb Shank was higher since it is the restaurant's signature dish. However, I wasn't impressed with marination. The fried chicken was great on the other hand. The service is what lowered the rating here. They seemed unorganized and all over the place. Orders for some customers are served before other customers who sat for way longer. We waited very long and had to ask for water which we waited for too. Hopefully they work on improving the level of customer service.

I went to this restaurant yesterday for the first time. I ordered this lamb chops. It was so delicious and had no bad meat taste nor smell at all! It was generous amount of lamb, rice and salad. The salad dressing is amazing :) The rice is perfect, not soft nor hard, not salty nor bland. The sauce on the side is spicy, but so tasty. This one dish costs $19.99 which is pretty great for this kind of food quality and freshness. The service was great since our table was next to cashier. This is for sure my favourite Mediterranean restaurant in Halifax right now!

We have been customers at 902 since they opened and have posted 5* reviews in the past. Either they changed cook or changed owners - the food is not the same. We ordered five take-outs today. Only the leg of lamb was decent, everything else, burgers, kebabs, etc. was overly salty and we were unable to eat more than 1/3 of our dish. Waste of food and of $$$.

I should give this place 5 stars! It is my favorite middle eastren food that I have ever been to. Like amazing food. I only removed 1 star because although the service is very friendly, my table has been forgotten a few times, but when you bring it up they are great about it.

Good price for great food! The owner is a relative of the Chef Abod on Kempt road and the food reflects this. Meat was cooked very well, service was great and the decor is identical to the previous tenants; lots of private booths and intimate spaces. Recommended!

We are visiting Halifax and having lived in Vancouver, Toronto, and NYC, it is our unanimous opinion that this is the best Middle East / Mediterranean food we've had. Most notably the Syrian and Lebanese dishes, especially the stews, are literally to die for. Friendly and hospitable service too!

So my experience unfortunately was poor. Eating out right now is something I really look forward to because restrictions are so limited and I was so disappointed. This was supposed to be a shawarma wrap and Greek salad, it was a salad and a chicken wrap wrapped in tortilla that was seasoned in dirty grill. The Greek salad was olive and feta-less... And I told the man to charge me extra to add feta on the wrap itself. Unfortunately there was no feta. Feta-less existence .
