Wonderful, nicely decorated coffee shop with friendly staff and a great selections of foods and beverages. The staff is friendly there. There is free Wi-FI there too. Please note that outside foods and beverages are not allowed inside their coffee shop as seen on the sign posted on the door. A popular hangout for university students and people of various ages, too!

It's okay. There isn't really anything special about Williams, they don't have exceptional food or the best atmosphere, but it's certainly not the worst. The staff are usually friendly when or if you interact with them ( as it's not table service ) I just feel everything about Williams is pretty generic, it's somewhere I would think of to bring my grandmother for an afternoon coffee, but not think to go there for anything else.

Good coffee and good food. Very slow service, especially at the cash where it seems disorganized and staff don't help each other out, thus leaving customers standing in line. Also the WiFi doesn't work. Try logging in and just keeps going around in circles with no reason. I've tried on my Nexus 5, my laptop and my wife's iPhone but we've never been able to log on. This is one of the reasons we visit a different cafe with working WiFi.

As a Guelph student, it became a tradition for me to visit this lovely cafe weekly. I usually went on Sundays around 9 am and routinely ordered the same meal: The Greens/Avocado/Quinoa bowl with Grilled Salmon added and the Mint/Chocolate Latte. If I could give these meals 6/5 stars, I definitely would! I have also tried their Breakfast bagels but always go back the bowl. It is very nutritious and tastes delicious, especially with the dressing. The prices are not cheap, but it is worth going once in a while. Their Wi-Fi is also adequate!

My husband & I got take out from here tonight and we were very dissapointed.. We ordered sweet potato fries with each of our sandwhich and it really looked like there was maybe 13 fries in each order and some parts looked rotten. Have prictures to prove it.. They were not worth the 5 dollars for each order of fries... This place is over priced!! We are very dissapointed with the food we got..

Nice staff, friendly and busy. Coffee is pretty average, at least the stuff that's already brewed. I have had an Americano there that was good. The thing that earned only 2 stars is the abysmal assortment of stale baked goods foisted upon customers for inflated prices. Cookies, muffins, croissant - uniformly and invariably STALE. I can't say if they are baked on the premises nor moreover during which month they may have been made. Regardless, my advice is to avoid the disappointment and skip this establishment altogether.

Smacks of management issues. Food and prices are fair in quality but service always seems aloof; like they'd rather be doing something else. Of course they would, but there's little enthusiasm for service, they seem constantly stressed out, and it doesn't seem like personal issues.

I like this place to spend an hour on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon but I rarely ever get to actually do that because every time I go, there’s never any seats and we end up leaving. So many of the big booths are often taken up by one person on a laptop which doesn’t seem fair for people who come in to actually enjoy a coffee and a conversation. I can’t count the amount of times this place has lost my business for that reason. Sometimes the booths do have a sign saying for more than two people, but I don’t think it’s actually enforced. They have good drinks and treats but I wish I could enjoy it more often.

Sometimes I ask for added protein in the smoothie which makes it great for after workouts. It’s a great portion size too and keeps you full for a couple hours - Williams Signature Coffee is the best fast food coffee out there! It’s very fresh, always piping hot and it’s good quality coffee - Their bowls are amazing and you can customize it yourself and add whatever you like to it. Their chicken is always cooked perfectly, and they add a fair amount of every ingredient in the bowls so every bite is full of every flavor - Their pizzas are very delicious and one of my favourite thin crust pizzas! I paid $6 for a tea with some milk... more expensive than STARBUCKS LOL The service is sub-par, the food is like McDonald's, for example the Eggs are for sure cooked in a plastic bowl in a microwave. It's not quality food so why are the prices like a restaurant? I think it's an ok atmosphere, but the WiFi is unpredictable & rarely works, and the food and beverage's are mediocre. ***EDIT: I really appreciate being sent a survey here to share my ideas in more detail. I think that's a GREAT sign of having the motivation to get better. I will give 1 extra star for this and give them another try and get back!

We went here for a lunch. We had a salad (california + chicken) and a sandwich (wasabi tuna melt). The seats were nice and the atmosphere was good. When it's busy it can be a little noisy (echo) though. The salad tasted really good and the sandwich as well. Still, we thought the portion size of the sandwich was quit small. We expected to get at least 2 slices of bread. Our overall experience is still fine!

Great customer service. I left my wallet in the store and received a message from one of the staff telling me that it was placed in the back office once I realized it was missing. I went in the next day and the staff not only found my wallet, however since the process took some time, I was offered a complimentary drink as well. Visiting Guelph we stopped here for lunch - we ordered the Williams Power Bowl and the Mango Chipotle Chicken - we were one of the few customers in there yet they forgot to put the chicken in the Mango Chicken and used frozen vegetables. Mediocre food prepared by someone who wasn't paying attention. Not recommended.

Overall quality of the food was good. But for $ 101.00 dollars there should have been enough food to feed 6 as advertised. Main entree really is for one person. For the price a big disappointment. In the end I paid 140.00 to have it delivered. Kids were still hungry.

I've been here twice (first time was a few weeks ago) since moving to the area and both times ive been disappointed. I do not think the food or the coffee tastes as good as other Williams resturants. In particular, today the avocado in my sandwich was not even close to being ripe. It was rubbery and required a knife to cut through. The staff responded when asked about it and were apologetic. However, I've cut many avocados myself and it's really easy to tell when one isn't ripe (especially to the point of it being rubbery...), so why did it go on the sandwich in the first place? The Wi-Fi disconnected on me multiple times, sometimes only lasting a minute between, but I guess it's free so can't really complain about there. There are power outlets though which is something many cafes lack.

This place have very good environment and I like to spend 1/2 an hour to have a coffee there. The cappuccino usually is great but last time I visited wasn't so good. Wasn't hot enough and I think was made long before I ordered. The other things in this location is that they start to ask for a tip before to pay the bill. This to me is rip off because I pay almost $5.00 for a cappuccino and because someone need 20 seconds to bring it to the table I have to pay more ... . I'm not happy this time. I fill bad that didn't give a tip. The place is very busy and I think the owner have to pay enough without ask me to help the employees. If is like that next time I'll find another place to have my cappuccino or espresso.

I had to wait 20 more min over the time that it should be ready... the Indian tall guy was racist to me and when I tried to explain that the food should be ready 20 min ago he started to swear at me in very rude way ... at the end whe the food was ready he threw it on my face in disrespectful way.... Williams is a great place to get work done in town. there food is sometimes inspired by middle eastern foods, such as Shwarma meat and curry. there WiFi is very good for a cafe and there service is pulled into a very interesting system for getting your food, which involves paying up front and then giving you a sign so that the waiter can find your table. i suggest the quesadilla, which is incredibly full of flavor with chicken, cheese and salsa. if you need to get your paper done, i suggest grabbing a coffee at williams and grinding it out!

This is a student-run cafe. Went for a cake and tea. Unfortunately the second time in a row I get over frozen not fresh cake for 6.25 CAD. The atmosphere is nice but cakes are no good anymore. Perhaps other food offerings are better but not desserts in my latest experience. Servers need a better training and care handling food. The cake you see on the display is not what you would actually get as they cut your peace from another, often frozen cake. My cake was broken into 2 pieces (probably because it was too frozen) and still served. No feel of esthetics or service quality from there server's part. Internet is of moderate quality here with 0.7 Kbits/s down and 0.5 Kbits/s up from Bell (OK for a Skype audio call but not for intensive photo upload). In summary a compete disappointment and waste of my money. Will only drink coffee or tea next time to save nerves and money.

Refused tap water at William’s Fresh Cafe. I said I would pay for the cup, yet they still refused due to a “head office policy”. I did not want to buy another plastic bottle of water. Maybe there should be another option that’s not plastic bottles of water, especially in a university town. Just doesn’t make sense to me.

Agree the wifi at this location had issues. It's great to see the location upgraded their wifi, per staff "they upgraded to 100 + users". I was on it for 30 min, it was fast, did not disconnect. Staff was friendly. I came back after a year. The place looked nice. I had a rice box with chicken and a coffee to drink. It came out fast, considering it was busy. My friend ordered a salad and a soup. We liked the service. Place was clean and staff was organized. There was a person in front of us who was complaining to the staff or a manager. We thought the staff or a manager did a good job in defusing the problem. We were impressed. But then we heard the same person talk to her friend, as they were sitting beside us in next booth, how they scammed and got a free stuff from the manager. It is so shameful that people can drop to this level, making a good business look bad. I gave this place 5 star because we were happy with everything. We recommend this place. We will come back. Good job Williams!

I stop by here a couple of times a month to meet with friends. There's usually at least half a dozen of us so we're usually tight for space if the cafe is busy. It can be frustrating when 8 of us are spread over a couple of tables not next to each other, while two single people take up two four-seater tables together near the door. The coffee is good, the food is great, and the service is excellent. Friendly register staff, bussing is quick and with a smile, and the servers always ask if there's anything else that can help with. Value is good - it's decently priced for an average coffee joint but this is smarter, cleaner, friendlier, and serves better dishes than average, so I'd highly recommend Williams for a coffee and snack with friends. Try their Chunky Monkey waffle if you are hungry. It's huge, and very tasty.

The tuna melt had brown soggy lettuce on it and the tuna was super dry, no mayo or anything. The corned beef sandwich was $12 for a few slices of deli meat and some mustard. No cheese. No pickles. Just meat and mustard. It looked like something I would get at a gas station not something I ordered from a restaurant. $25 for two sandwiches, no drink or side included, is a bit much.

Had the worst experience here yesterday, came here to eat after a long trip and the order was completely wrong. I don’t know how the girl taking my order heard sandwhich when I ordered a red pepper soup?? Most unappetizing lunch and the garlic bread I got as sides were soggy for some reason… also went to waste.

This place is nothing but a study hall for students! I have had to leave a couple of times due to no seats. Students are there with a drink between 2 people or nothing at all. 1 person actually lying down with cell phone in hand! You guys need to have time limits or certain seats for students. Your'e losing business guys wake up!!!!!!Love the coffee & baked goods!

As a museum and historical site, the property has been open to the public since 1910, and provides a rare look at Bell's first Canadian home, complete with authentic Bell family artifacts.The docents are knowledgable and friendly and a small gift shop is also on the site. Compared to the Bell site in Baddeck, visitors are actually able to tour an actual Bell home, which makes this visit especially meaningful

I honestly don't come here to eat since there are so many better other places. However, I get my coffee from them every single morning. In terms of quality, it is mediocre and doesn't really match the premium price that we pay for. Service is not very friendly and let's not talk about their slowest service ever. Every morning it take me 2 minutes to get there and 10 minutes to get a small coffee.

This is the best williams i have ever been too. I say it's the best because the service is incredible as i have never seen all employees carry a smile while serving their customers. the people working here are polite and considerate and even though they were closed, they still served me. The seating and WiFi are pretty great for studying but because it’s near a shopping hub, you’ll get all sorts, including all the potentially annoying people. The business people can get dominant and loud. It can be like the mall itself with men forcing smiles on young woman and causing discomfort. It’s best to pick a time when it’s quieter or just carry on to better study spaces.

Really poor food service. since the buy out / takeover. The food is now cold, the portions are smaller (half as much - same priced garlic bread) and generally higher prices - gotta pay for that investment somehow ! I've stopped visiting. A real pity, it used to be well priced, good service, & reasonable portions. No more. Oh, and the WiFi is awful, better to use LTE.

Went here for the first time today, purchased a grilled cheese which comes with coleslaw and a pickle spear. Got home and order was incomplete called the store spoke with an unknown representative as apparently the manager was not available. Rep didn't apologize but kept on saying I'll let them know for next time..that's the best you got? Sorry, to have placed such a difficult order. Thanks for my first and worst experience at Williams..lost a customer on his first visit.

I was there with a friend Saturday night January 27, 2018. We ordered our drinks and then the waitress came and told me their blender is not working so I can't get my cold drink. I asked for a cappuccino and they brought it a few minutes later but forgot my friends drink. He went to the counter and said oh sorry we FORGOT. Then one waitress comes to us and tells us it's closing time and literally takes my cup OUT OF MY HAND!!! Who does that?? How rude and very unprofessional, and she did it with a pathetic attitude as well. She seriously needs extensive customer service training. I didn't want to cause a stir so I did not say a word to her. But certainly not coming back here again!!! The 1 star is way too generous.

Great Service, right portioning and the best part is it is FRESH. I conduct all my business meetings at Williams because they are casual and spacious. My favourite one is on Brant Street Burlington, but this Guelph location impressed me a lot as well. Seems like they are doing great as this place is always packed. I definitely recommend it to all especially if you are looking for fresh, reasonably priced meal with courteous customer service.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE 100% RIPPED OFF. I honestly never write bad reviews but my experience was shockingly terrible. The meal came only half filled in unreasonably small containers - soup in a half-sized gravy container. Mac and Cheese totalled less than half a cup of cooked noodles. It was a COMPLETE RIP OFF. The restaurant did not care. When I said it did not look like the pictures, their answer was that "these photos are from dine in only" I honestly feel robbed :( There are much better places worthy and needing support in these tough times. Order elsewhere.

The smoothie was delicious. Italian soda wasnt very carbonated. However, the customer service here is outstanding. The kind employee took the time to call me after reading my ubereats notes to ensure that there were no misunderstandings. I appreciate that in today's digital age. Everything is online. Was nice for him to take the extra time to make sure there were no issues with the order.

Awful awful customer service. The manager approached me and told me I had to move to a smaller table after I had been at the location for close to 30 minutes. I came to William's to use the table space. No offer to help me move my food or drinks while my laptop was out. When I said I need the space he point to a 2 or more person sign and just walked away. Worst customer service I have ever received in a coffee shop.

Only stopped in for a quick breakfast. The table service was much faster than expected and the breakfast bagels were very good. The hazelnut ice coffee was prepared to specification and above average. The place is larger inside than it appeared from without. It was busy on a Sunday morning but neither overly loud or crowded. All the servers were polite and efficient. I intend to return and explore more menu items.

The customer service at this restaurant was horrible. My friends and I were treated with disrespect by the employee bringing us our food. She chose to embarrass us in front of the entire restaurant simply because they had given us an extra drink by accident, suggesting we had taken it on purpose, when in reality we had left the drink aside to give back to them when they brought the rest of our order. However she blamed us, and hurried off before we could explain and give it back. Just a bad way to handle the situation. Williams is a great Cafe, but I won't be going back to this location.

This Williams was not up to the standards of other Williams I have been to. The bathroom was rundown and dirty and I think the entire place could use a good cleaning. It was mostly empty when I went in and there were dirty plates all over empty tables and they stayed that way through most of my time there. I was on my own and apparently that meant I had to sit at a small dirty table (there were no available small tables that weren't dirty) because all of the booths were "reserved for 2 or more people." I would completely understand this during busy times but the cafe was empty and I'm quite sure that my meal and latte cost more than the two small coffees the people sitting in a booth were drinking. I don't know if a lot of these things are because this location is near a university but I wont be back.

Was there this morning and ordered the Bagel with egg, spinach, avocado, and bacon. I asked for the bacon to be extra crispy. What I ended up receiving was the greasiest breakfast bagel that I have ever had. The bacon was completely undercooked and dripping with grease, which made the rest of the ingredients really greasy. While the actual bagel was delicious, even the top of it was covered in grease. Service was good and friendly. I don't know if I will return..... .

I enjoy the atmosphere of Williams but their washrooms are disgusting. Toilets were so dirty-there was poop on the floor in one washroom and smears in the toilet in the other. I don't understand how the front of the restaurant can look great and the bathrooms be so gross. I am not planning on going back.

The reason it's packed is that there are very few options anywhere nearby. The food is mediocre and staff seem unable to serve coffee. On two separate occasions I ordered an espresso. The first espresso was mediocre, but served in an enormous soup bowl. The second time, as I was ordering, the cashier asked if what I actually wanted was an americano, and I insisted that I wanted an espresso. When I was finally served, of course the waitress brought (what I assume was) an americano. If you can't serve espresso, that's fine - don't put it on the menu.

Worst place to have food atleast the breakfast. Ordered classic breakfast and couple of panini sandwiches for my daughter and wife. Absolute disaster. Only item which looked was eggs cooked in microwave. Toast was like melba toast so hard. Sausage was completely dry and bacon crispy to the extent I could not pick up as it would crumble. Panini sandwiches by the looks on my daughter and wife said everything that it was a bad choice of place to eat. If you are for free wifi and sugary drinks they serve then this is your place. I will never go back, same for my wife and daughter.

Horrible customer service. Waited 5 minutes to get served at the til to order while 3 people stood around. Nobody even said sorry for the delay or we will be with you in a second. Didnt even ask if we wanted our brownie warmed up. Waited 15 minutes to get a hot chocolate - didn't even take our sign away. Employees need retraining.
