Good concept but I prefer taste rather than concept. I ordered Newyork Steamer and it says Brisket and smoked meet. I didn't see brisket in it, just average quality smoked meat. And sauce is not enough. I just wanted to write down here because just a sandwich is $15 and you have to wait like the homemade stuff.

I ordered one of their "light" subs, which was lighter on calories but not on flavour. The smoked turkey actually tastes smoked and the spicy mustard complimented it nicely. The side pickle was pretty tasty too. Great price for the excellent quality of food.

We were quite happy to try this new sandwich shop in Guelph. Found the subs to be very tasty. They have two sizes - and the smaller one is just right for me. There are several tables in the restaurant which were being cleaned off while we were there. Everything appeared clean and of course it was all brand new. We will definitely eat here again.

Disappointed tonight. Didn't follow clear instructions, and was very overcharged for the lack of mushrooms I received on my Blt. Four to be exact. Not worth the 2 extra dollars. I am still giving 4 stars because I understand things happen and maybe it was an off night. I just believe all feedback is good feedback .

Delicious food, but super slow service. Staff don't really seem to be focused, nor did they seem to care about timing. It seemed like only one employee was actually working, while the others were just messing around. It shouldn't take 15 to 20 minutes for a single sandwich.

This is THE BEST. Sub shop . they serve hot subs and not to mention when you eat here you are supporting firefighters.. They save people every day the least we could do is round up to the nearest dollar to ensure they have all the best equipment and are able to take the right safety percausions while saving others. The.most delicious sub ever we had the hook and ladder. Few extra dollars compared to subways price but the quality you get i would pay 3X the normal price Yummm

A while agoni would have given this a 5 star but I have been alot and I will not go again now. The food is good as for any fire house subs but the other things are lacking. I had been about an hour before closing and all chairs were on top of the tables as they mopped the floors and people in the store I ended up going to Subway across the street Soni could sit down and eat as intended. Last week I returned I had to use the way and it was so bad it definitely had not been cleaned within a few days. In the back you could see from where you order one girl was prepping food and another right beside her counting money on the same counter! Money is very dirty and should never be in the same table as food that is how people can get sick. The manager was also there he was in the back as this was happening sitting down with his feet on the wall. As all of this happened they had a staff member keep taking his hat off and running his hands through his hair this happened multiple times. After doing this someone walked in and he took the order and also made the order never washing his hands. Through this entire time the manager did not say a word! Instead the manager got a pop and told them to send someone home when they show up and left. I was driving from Cambridge to Guelph to eat here but I definitely will not be back to this location. Edit: Firehouse replied here asking me to contact the owner about this review and I did through the email provided. I figured maybe he was actually concerned about what is happening in his store. My email was ignored and not replied to.

First time visit after hearing all the rave reviews. I figured I'd be hard to impress since the expectations were set so high. I was wrong. I may sound cliche, but this really was the best sub I've ever eaten. And I've had subs in New York, Philly and Montreal. Absolutely delicious. Yea, they cost more, but you won't mind. If you used the amount of meat you get from Subway as a measurement, these subs would be ten times thicker. Then add the fact that everything is fresh, perfectly seasoned, loaded with the right goodies and stacked on freshly baked bread, there's no comparison. You simply have to try it. It's spoiled me for all other sub shops. Friendly staff and great selection. Now, how do I talk them into opening up in Fergus?

Lose the "Welcome to firehouse" when people walk in. After working for 6-8 hours do you think your employees are going to be very excited every time someone walks in and say "welcome" with enthusiasm? It's actually kind of depressing, at least the time that I was there and when they said it to me and other customers. It's kind of weird and makes me uncomfortable, like as if i'm an annoyance to the staff since they're not actually enthused to see me. If it's a thing that corporate makes you do, just don't do it or talk to corporate; that you seriously need to lose the greeting. I came in and ordered 2 subs and I only got 1 (was only charged for 1 but I didn't notice immediately because I wasn't given a receipt) and didn't care to wait again for another sub so you guys lost out on $10 simply because the cashier wasn't listening. How hard is, "One meatball sub and One New York Steamer, please"? We were the only ones in the store ordering. The New York Steamer was very good though, great quality cheese and meat. The selection of meats on the menu needs to A) Be a bigger font and B) Get rid of "USDA choices of x meat", or whatever it says. It does not help me choose. Ok it's pastrami meat, I literally don't care that it's "USDA selection cuts of pastrami" or whatever it says.

No matter what new restaurants open Firehouse continues to reign supreme when it comes to fast and friendly service, delicious food and great value. This was my first visit and found them a little pricey but I don't mind paying for quality and will be going again . The vegetables were fresh and the bread was nice and soft. The only negative is that I would have liked having the topping I requested.

Love this chain and location. Fantastic selection of sandwiches is basically a given with this place. It's always clean, staff are friendly and attentive. It's the little things with this place that makes the difference, donations from purchases go to wards fire departments, quality selection of hot sauces albiet with a rather laughable heat rating scale, coke freestyle machine that can satisfy any flavour needs. Would recommend the meatball sub. Fantastic sandwich and for a decent price. Pickle on the side is a nice touch to the meal as well. 10/10 would recommend for a quick yet filling bite.

First time to try it and we've back 4 times in the last 2 weeks. It's fresh and very tasty. They also have different and unique varieties from other subs places. I am also impressed at their packaging. During COVID where you take home everything, their packaging keeps their sandwiches stay fresh and remain looking appetizing.

We have ordered through skip the dishes often from Firehouse Subs Guelph. Thus us the third time for error. I called them and told them about the error and that it is not the first time. They acknowledged the mistake and said that we can drive there and pick up one. Did not wish to drive so I was told to call Skip to get our money back. It was not Skips fault but that is all they cared. I am going to request to talk to Manger again so employees will be more careful. Bottom line the woman I spoke to did not care and was flippant.

Since they opened the Guelph location, and it was recommended to us by a friend, my husband and I have been going to Firehouse Subs at least a couple times a month. Although the subs are pricier than most places, the amount of meat and toppings as well as the quality justify the price. The last month or so we noticed the quality go down. I picked up subs for the both of us on Feb 11. I made a few fairly simple substitutions, no mayo, extra bbq sauce, yes to the pickle spears. When I brought them both home, my husband's sub did not have any of the extras I asked for, had mayo and no bbq sauce, and no pickle spear. He was upset but starving, so he ate it. I went back alone yesterday. There was only one guy at the counter. He took my order and made it too. I asked to take off tomato and add cucumber and diced pickles, yes to the pickle spear. I asked for the food to go and didn't even get a bag, just the container which then opened in my car on the drive home. When I got home, my sub was missing both the cucumber and the pickle. So I just paid $13 for a bunch of meat and melted cheese with some lettuce and onion. Very disappointed. Especially since there was nobody else in the store, and it was the same guy who took the order that made it. Months ago I would've given this place 10 stars out of 5. But lately the quality is severely lacking. We've definitely cut down the frequency of our visits. I'm more inclined to go back to places where I can stand in front of the counter and watch them make my food, if it is so difficult to follow simple instructions without me watching to make sure my order is correct.

First off i will say there food is good and priced right, however i ordered through skip the dishes and when the order was delivered items were missing again, this is tge second time, Firehouse sub is responsible for packing the food and they continually miss items. This time I called them to let them know what happened and the best they could do was say the next time i order they will give me the missing items....... but what about now ..... they cant refund me because its through skip the dishes and they weren't willing to drive it out to me....... NOT A HAPPY CAMPER, VERY POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS

I had the meatball sub, best sandwich from that kind if place in a while, really well spiced sauce, tender meatballs, just enough cheese and best of all no soggy bread!! A bit pricey yes, but to me it was worth it for the quality. I also really loved my service, Jake and Alan (I really hope I got those names right, the two who worked 7/9/19) really friendly wonderful conversation, made the trip really worth while. Highly reccomend will be stopping in there next time I can.

Service has gone totally down hill. Last time I waited 25 mins in store while uber and call ins were served one after another. Tonight their app wouldn't work and I tried for 20 mins to get someone to answer the phone, when someone finally answered they just left the phone off the hook without speaking. Tried calling back and straight to voice-mail. Pizza it is!

One of my favorite sub places to go to! Delicious ingredients and normally a good assortment of hot sauces, which is a big win for me. On the higher end of what subs generally cost, but well worth it in my opinion. Their subs also look more like their pictures than other sub places, so great presentation, with sturdy take-out boxes of you choose to take yours on the go.

We stopped by here to pick up some subs to take to my daughters for dinner. We decided to give Firehouse a try because it came recommended by a friend who frequents the Hamilton location. Apparently, the Hamilton location fills the sandwiches with meat. We will have to try the Hamilton one next time. Anyway, we ordered 4 large subs, The Steamer, The Smokehouse beef & cheddar brisket, Firehouse Meatball & Steak and Cheese which came to $58 for 4 people. Now, I am not normally a sub lover, but I would eat from this place again. Although, the price is quite high for a sandwich, there is quite a bit of meat in each sandwich. I had them cut each sub in portions of 3 so we can all try each kind. My daughter's friend really liked the meatball one. The meatballs looked quite big topped with melted cheese. The Steamer had a mixture of corned beef and pastrami with cheese. Mmmm This one was very tasty and my favorite! The Steak one was my husbands favorite which included cheese, sauteed onions and green peppers. The Smokehouse was really good but this one I found had less meat and toppings. I think it would be better with something else added to it. My husband didn't like the BBQ sauce on this one. I found the gentlemen serving at this location very friendly and customer oriented since they cut 3 of the subs in thirds and placed them in nice take out containers with a pickle wrapped in a baggie so it does not make your sandwich soggy. Delicious, tastes amazing. Better than subway in taste and assembly of subs. We used skip the dishes and ordered a dasani, not sure if they were out of stock but I got a lemon water drink instead that I'm not fond of amd wish they called about substituting first. And there's too much ice in the pop we ordered. Otherwise great place to eat.

Walked in and was greeted with a huge hello. A guy, one of the owners I assume, came around to explain the menu and what makes this place unique. Ordering and waiting for the food was a little painful, but this was there first day of being open. Even saw one of the managers jump in and start to encourage staff to work more efficient when he realized we were waiting. Food was really good, much better than the competition. A little expensive (around $25 for two people for 2 subs and 2 drinks), but it was for a premium product.

My husband just arrived home with two subs - we ate at Firehouse a few days ago and had a good experience other than the long wait so figured a quick take out dinner tonight was a good choice. I was just about to bite into my sandwich when I noticed a blonde curly hair embedded between the cheese and meat of the sandwich...I have dark hair so it surely is not mine! ????????. NEVER AGAIN! My husband called the store immediately after I found the hair to be told "oh sorry, want a new one?" - well no....I do not ever plan on eating a sub from this establishment ever again; what I would like back is the $15 I spent that went straight into the garbage.

Full disclosure: I work here. (I'm mainly writing this so google stops asking me to review my workplace everyday I go in). The subs are seriously so good though, I eat one like every shift. Sometimes I come in on my days off to get a sub because I'll be wanting them at home. (btw, order a NY Steamer and add Sauteed Onions next time you're in. it's easily the best sub on the menu.)

I absolutely love firehouse subs. The smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket is to die for. The sandwiches are HUGE, so yes they may seem pricey but totally worth it. I also admire that it was created by firefighters and that they raise money for first responders ???? I would definitely recommend checking this place out next time you're craving a sub! Also the staff are very friendly and quick.

Terrible service. Was waiting about 10 minutes in front of the cash register without anyone coming to take my order. Then another customer who just walked in walked right up to the cash in front of me and his order was instantly taken. My order still was not taken for another 5 minutes after. It's not very difficult to keep track of the order that people lined up, especially between 5 employees.

Great service, great subs, great atmosphere. Firehouse will blow subway out of the water for most in terms of taste and quality. There are many options to choose from and the ingredients are cooked in house after you order your sub. They also have this great program where you can round your order to the nearest dollar and that money goes towards a firefighters charity. They also sell the 2 gallon pails they get their pickeles in (cleaned of course) for $2 which also goes towards charity. Firehouse is a restaurant that is truely doing everything right, and me and my friends always enjoy going there to eat

So...I’ll start with saying the first two times were great. But let’s bring us to today...5:40 we can for subs and their amazing Cherry Lime-aid because I had a craving. The machine was saying unavailable so I asked the lady at the cash, who said she would speak to someone. No one came to the machine. Then our subs were deceived , I asked that lady...she said she would ask someone. No one came to the machine. 6:20 someone came to the machine. Fills up all that’s empty as I still sit here and wait (6:25 got the lime aid) Not impressed with the lack of customer service and the sense of care. I’m not sure if I will come back to this location or not as they don’t really seem to care about customer service Keep in mind their are 4 ppl working

Firehouse sub is a new sub sandwich restaurant in the south end of Guelph. When you walk in, you are greeted by the staff with a welcoming harmonious "Hello". The food was amazing, I enjoyed a sweet and spicy meatball sub, and a beef brisket. The food tasted real, and nothing like a fast food restaurant. The service was great, really friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable of the products offered. I was able to ask for advice and received knowledgable answers to my questions. The speed was a little slow, but its a new place and staff was training, so its completely understandable. I will be visiting again, thanks firehouse!

I have a medical condition preventing me from being able to wear a mask. The nice lady asked me politely to wear one and i told her I was unable and she was extremely respectful about it. It is already very hard to enter places when having a medical condition with no mask and she was extremely polite and understood I wasnt able. More businesses should be like this. I promise I will be back and support this business regularly. I recommend everyone else come visit their subs are better than anyones and their customer service is amazing and SO respectful.

Very welcoming, clean dining area. Staff washing hands and surfaces. Food was excellent as usual, can not think of any other way they could improve. Other customers came in approximately 6 to 8 and not one went to wash their hands. The couple sitting beside me opened the door payed with cash, used the fountain pop machine , pulled out the chairs sat down and picked up their sandwiches and started eating. No trip to the washroom to wash their hands, no sanitizer used just pick up and dive in. So nasty, we wonder how this virus is spreading and going to get worse????

Have ordered twice now through Skip The Dishes. Both times had the same experience. That is, over 30 minutes late, no marking on the boxes, so everyone has to poke and prod and sniff to find out who's sub is who's, and adding the "fully involved" sauces when explicitly requesting no sauces via the online order mechanism. Won't order from here again.

This place was great when it opened but it has gone down hill. You don't get the amount of meat you used to. Half of my sub was bread inly on a Large sub. The staff were acting quite inmature. The Hot sauce shelf was a disaster of a mess and just an overall bad visit. At least the did not say that aggravating 10-12 Welcome to Firehouse.

My default hot sub location in Guelph - I've been coming to this location about once every week or two this year, and I've been happy with my lunch every time. By now I've had just about every sub in the menu, and they are all quite good - my favorites are the Italian, the Brisket and the Engineer. The staff are friendly, and despite it being a busy place (and the subs take longer than elsewhere) I rarely have to wait longer than 5-10 mins for my sub. These subs are pricier, but I can see where the money is going and appreciate the quality. A couple of bucks extra for a better sub is a no brainer for me.
