Pretty decent BBQ; we had a large group (about 25 people) and they easily accommodated us. The server made a point of writing down everyone's name and addressing us by name throughout our visit, which was an excellent touch. I had the Oink, Cackle and Moo. The chicken and pulled pork were very good, the brisket a little dry. Overall a great experience.

I've pretty much are everything on this menu and I love it. Go have some dill pickle soup is my favorite. The service is great and I love that's its framily friendly. Prices are good and I enjoy the atmosphere. Love the boneless wings so tender. I think this is my go to place.

When it first started the food was excellent and all meats were smoked. Every time I go back there food and service is getting worse. Last time I was there I found hair in my food (at least they took it off the bill) and my husband's ribs were not smoked as they were supposed to be and smothered in BBQ sauce, plus they forgot his corn bread and one of his side. The waitress was awesome and did her best but it looked like she was covering majority of the tables in the building so food and drinks took forever to get to out table. Definitely our last time going to this place.

A new entry to the Grande Prairie restaurant scene! (And on the south side, yet! Yay!) This BBQ joint is the third that does BBQ in town, after Tony Roma's and Better Than Fred's (who's pulled pork sammies are amazing), but their smoker sets them apart. I had the Memphis Ribs, and would have to say that they were exactly what they were going for.

Both times I have ordered here I had high expectations of flavor, but was disappointed. There definitely seemed to be something missing to make it great. The service was okay, the waitress didn't know the menu at all. Perhaps she was very new. Enjoyable place but not my first choice for a great meal.

Tried the smoked, deviled eggs; beef dip, dill pickle soup and smoked pork belly sandwich. It was all delicious. Highly recommend the pork belly!! One note on the sides: while loaded with bacon, the side Caesar was not really dressed making it a bunch of loose lettuce, bacon and croutons and there was nothing dirty about the dirty rice - had a couple of pieces of peppers but no meat. The staff was prompt, funny and friendly, making the whole experience enjoyable - highly recommend you check it out.

Nice place but the room temperature was quite cool. I was not crazy about there choice in BBQ sauce in the chicken or the amount of dressing on the caesar salad but it wasn't terrible. Portion size was quite good.

I've given this restaurant a few tries when I've been passing through town and everytime the service has been mediocre from being ignored so the waitress can smoke darts, to being ignored while the other person in my party got served (how does that happen) and then having the wrong food brought out (waitress didn't use a pen/paper). The food is pretty good but not good enough to put up with issues everytime.

Nice interesting menu. My littles enjoyed their burgers with sweet potato fries. The dipping was dill sauce, I believe. The burgers were served on brioche buns. Pretty good, I must say. We also got a nice dessert. Fritters served with ice cream and drizzled with chocolate. Yum!

Found this place by accident really. The food was excellent! Brisket was smoked perfectly and very tasty. The beans and coleslaw (which I always use in judging BBQ joints) were also first rate. Draft beer was cold, service was quick and efficient and the overall atmosphere was very casual and comfortable. You can be sure I will visit again the next time I am in town.

I ordered a chopped beef sandwich that was supposed to come with cheese, horseradish aioli and was supposed to be tossed in 3 different sauces, served on a sourdough bun. What I got was Lukewarm dry bland meat tossed in something unknown, no cheese, on a hamburger bun. I asked for horseradish but I got something closer to ranch thinned out with sour cream. Our server was fantastic though, maybe the kitchen was having an off night

First experience was good. The food came quickly, the portions were appropriate for price. I ate the Brisket which was very flavorful and not dry. The atmosphere is very open and bright with nice TV's and good decor. One negative was i stood waiting at front not knowing to seat my self and didn't get greeted right away. I saw others come in that were standing there for awhile not quite knowing whether to seat them selves and also not greeted. I recommend maybe a sign at the front that lets customers know , to take away from that awkward part. After being seated the server was very friendly and helpful. Will 100% be returning in the future to try other menu items. *Edit* Reduced to 3* as my 2 visits following my initial were just not good. The service was bad , took forever to get food in a dead restaurant , and the quality of the food tasted as if it was re heated from the day before.

Memphis ribs, best ribs I have ever had in a restaurant. The Bad - sliced brisket. Dry and tasteless, I will stay away from this next time. Over all, I would highly recommend the Red Rock Urban BBQ.

I have good friends that love this place, but I have been there 4 or 5 times now and it has been my experience to be average at best. We were there for lunch today and it was near empty, yet service was slow and the food was really not that great. $50 for two of us to eat with no drinks. I've lived in GP for 30 years, and this restaurant is by far the best I've been to in this city. We are BBQ lovers, and the brisket and pulled pork is amazing. The reason for a two star is that tonight the wife and another couple went out tonight together. We ordered our food and appyies. Appyies came out but took another hour after the appies. Food was alright. Chicken wings under cooked still pink. My friends roasted chicken were still pink inside. So in all our food took a total of a hour and a half for our food.

Ordered for pickup. Bang bang shrimp was grossly undercooked. Bbq wings were terrible. No napkins , salt, pepper or utensils. 45$+ for two lbs of wings and the shrimp, i would expect some quality food. Staff was friendly, cook should be embarrased. Wouldnt even consider going back.

We just had lunch there. The waitress was very judgemental. Not very nice! My daughter could not eat her Caesar salad because the dressing tasted funky. The waitress said she checked the salad dressing and it was fine and charged us $20 for a salad that was not eaten because it tasted so awful. I won’t go back again.

I am choked! I was here once and it was a very different atmosphere. Who owns this place? Every waitress last night avoided eye contact so they obviously didnt have to serve us. There is no please wait to be seated so you just stand there like a loser being DELIBERATELY ignored by the wait staff. We sat ourselves at a table and otices that there were some very drunk guys obviously overserved and the waitress returned to their table 3 times and we couldnt even get menus! I hope that waitress entertaining those men doesnt actually need her tip money because I am an awesome tipper and I LEFT! So she isn't there for the money. What is she there for? This restaurant will be gone soon. With noone caring and an atmosphere like that towards people like me... it will run out of money soon and close its doors just like the rest of the restaurants that were not being operated correctly that I have seen. Too bad. Food was good. Dear owner of Red rock. You will be losing your restaurant soon unless you have a proper manager.

Updated: I responded to the management's inquiry on my review. ZERO FOLLOW UP on their part. The food was okay. I had a combo plate with ribs and brisket. The brisket was quite good by itself. The ribs (3 of them) were not bad tasting but were very thin very little meat. I'd give the food itself 3.5 stars. The service started off decent a little slow but nothing bad. Then we were left waiting at the table after asking the waitress for the bill and a box for my wifes leftovers for over 30 minutes. We seen her help/ serve and take orders during this time. Our glasses were empty and plates pushed away. When the waitress finally came back she gave us an excuse about somebody having an allergic reaction to their food. (Didnt stop her from helping other tables) Honestly the first time I left zero tip. Order skip the dishes.

Probably some of the best food in grande prairie, but this is the second time we have sat down and waited over 30 minutes for one of their waitresses to even make eye contact with our small party of 3. Now this is on a Monday night so its about a 1/4 full I saw about 4 waitress walk right by our table without even a glance. If I was the owner I would get some staff that could do their job instead of hanging out in the back smoking or doing whatever takes 30 minutes of 0 service means.

This place used to be STELLAR. I have been disappointed with every one of my 6 visits in the last year, the food has gone way downhill. If you are looking for barbecue, go to Better than Fred's. Menu is much the same, quality is FAR superior.

A great spot for a meal. The place is spotless any time I go in. The wings are slow smoked, so they are never underdone. I enjoy the salads too, but grazing for herbivores is limited: it is a BBQ place. The bartender appreciates jokes, clean or dirty, and will trade one for any that you push, pull, or drag in. Don't treat people like jokes, but do take a few friends along!

Average BBQ but very friendly service. They carry local GP brewery beers on tap which is fantastic. Food is fairly priced and you get large portions. The mac and cheese is, unfortunately, quite bland and the brisket and BBQ meat are average but the chicken and pulled pork are a highlight. A good selection of unique BBQ sauces on the side would be a great addition to the meal! Atmosphere is friendly but generic decor, could use a bit of sprucing up. The service is very friendly and quick.

Edit: Matt was amazing with an extensive and personal response with an issue I had experienced, and offered me another visit to experience Red Rock again. It was much better, If you're looking for a great local BBQ joint I would suggest Red Rock.

Went in on Sunday for dinner, all day happy hour was on and the server let us know right away all the specials immediately which is nice. Got our food out in under 12 mins and it was hot and fresh. Staff and food quality are top notch!

Went there for the first time last night and definitely expected more based on the reviews. The environment was more like a bar with the loud music and people. The food wasn't that good either, ribs were super tough and full of cartilage and the server never came back to fill up our drinks once. Probably won't be going back.

Went there tonight and asked for pulled chicken sandwich and I didnt know the bbq sauce was smokey and i didnt like it at all. .I'm not a fan of smokey bbq sauce and I wish I was told that. .last time I had there boneless wings and they didnt taste right either. .I dont know if it's my taste buds or not but I really not a big fan of this place

An amazing place, i very much enjoy the general atmosphere, the employees are very nice and knolagable on the menu, and all in all we had a great experiance! We were able to order a custom meal that catered towards someones allergies and the food/drink we ordered was made very well! Would definitly recomend this place, its good for all occasions. They make sure to keep everything cleaned and the place is nice and orderly, the air around is very cool which keeps the drinks cool and helps relax on a hot summer day

Food was alright, wasn't really a thing special, was a nice atmosphere but our waitress was lacking though. Asked her about the smoke stack burger since I really dislike pickles and she confirmed there's no pickles on it, since I made a point of saying it I figured she would make sure. She delivered or food and said she didn't see pickles in there but of course if I'm writing all this is to say my first bite included pickles along with the juice to go with it. Now of course some people might say send it back but then you end up eating alone so I picked everything off that got touched by them and eating a burger that was nothing special. Another couple things I didn't like was originally for a side I was going to take a salad but they didn't have thousands Island dressing, no big deal. I'll just have regular fries but I guess all they have here is checkered fries for 2$ more which wasn't specified by the waitress but oh well. Over all was nothing extravagant and we won't be rushing back to try it again!

Food is good. Service is okay, some days are better than others. I've been a total of four times and I'd say only once I had a great waitress. One time I was on a date with my husband and the waitress wouldn't even look at nor speak to me, even brought me the wrong food TWICE. She worked hard on my husband though it seemed she was really trying for a tip, joke was on her though because it was my turn to pay for dinner. Haha so sorry no tip.

A very great bbq place! Had the full rack of ribs with their slaw and beans and couldn't ask for a better meal! Portion sizes are huge so you'll forsure have enough for lunch the next day as well. Menu could use some more options but other than that, great dining!
