We ordered for mothers day because were out of town and skip never showed up. After a fight with skip and the driver montanas was an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT to deal with. The food was amazing. If you guys are considering montanas ESPECIALLY DURING THIS SHUTDOWN you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. I'm so impressed. So incredibly impressed. Thank you Montanas Grande Prairie. Thank you!!!!

Usually so good but service tonight was awful. No check in from the server after our food was brought out. I had spinach dip and my pita chips were really oily- like they were taken straight out of the deep frier and onto my plate. Wasn't asked for drink refills, plates weren't taken away when we were finished. We were left to just sit at the table for a long time. Very disappointed. Usually so great.

Mediocre food at top dollar prices, everything was served luke warm for the side dishes, flat pop, and the pulled pork sandwich my wife had was soggy on the heel and served with a side ceaser salad full of stalk, not leaf. My 7 oz. Sirloin was cooked properly but was the toughest piece of shoe leather I've had in the city. The potato skins were on a hot plate but the food itself wasn't hot or fresh tasting. Our server was nice, prompt and apologized for the wait on our drinks and food but overall the same poor service and food quality you can expect in most places to eat in Grande Prairie....lame.

Very disappointed Took the inlaws that are in their late eighties so thought it would be safe. Plus Montana ' s in AB is usually pretty good. Not this one. So condensed version. .I ordered steak..duh..which was an epic FAIL. Asked for rare..got steak tar-tar..quite blue rare and ice cold..same as my brother-in-law, he ordered med and got very rare. Service was very slow for so few customers and to be fair it was just our server..took 25 mins to get my drink and I had to ask multiple times..he maybe had 2 other tables. Good thing my husband paid and not me or buddy server would have gotten no one penny in tip. All around very disappointing. .shame.

My husband & I went to Montana's in Grande Prairie. No wait, food was nice & hot. Everything was great. I paid with debit, my husband gave the waitress $15 cash instead of with the bill. I accidentally gave her the tip again with the debit. Allaine corrected the amount. Whrn we started to leave, Allaine came over to us & explained the tip went through with the debit. Came over to bring our cash back. I was so impressed with her honesty, we told to keep it. I hope Montana's appreciates such an honesty employee. We did.

I was very disappointed in the quality of food. It tasted old and or out of date. I only ordered nachos. There was no cheese to speak of on it. When I brought my dissatisfaction the waiter, he said his supervisor apologized and offered me half off. My partners meal was not any better as his steak was tough and food was warm only..... this was not brought to the attention of the waiter however.

Just ok which is odd, we've been to Montana's plenty of times in other cities and loved it! Ordered the wrap here, it was all bread, very little filling. Husband ordered the chicken burger, it was all batter, the piece of chicken itself was very small. Pretty disappointed.

It's a chain restaurant. The food is good, the service is good, and the atmosphere is the same in all locations. The menu is a bit pricey, but it is a good treat. The steaks and similar dishes are very good, and I recommend them.

Ordered take out, spin dip had no pita and 7 chips, kungpow shrimp had no sauce no nothing just a box of shrimp and this is the second time I've ordered the bacon mac and cheese and it came with no bacon. What a waste of money.

Great food as usual. The service is usually on par-but watch out for the male bartender. He was our server for the night(for food-no alcohol was ordered) and was so unprofessional. He never refilled our water and never stopped by until it was time to pay. We had CAA membership for discount and also wanted to redeem Scene points. He had difficulty doing so and took our phone from out table to “get the card number” which he wrote down already. To top the night off when we went to pay the remainder owing he wanted total control of the debit machine and kept asking for our payment card. We asked to insert instead of him tapping. He got mad, threw the machine on the table and walked away. We noticed he had tried to enter his own tip into the machine without our knowledge. Very unprofessional in my opinion. How many others has he possibly scammed out of money.

Went in for the first time to a restaurant since Covid happened in the middle of March. We had a great time, there was some minor hiccups and the manager and staff looked after us amazingly because of it. The ribs are particularly good, as is the shrimp appetizer and you have to try the mini doughnut dessert!

The service and the food was great! We went in early for supper to avoid the line ups. One of us had a delicious burger and the other had ribs. Unfortunately there was an error on the ribs. They were supposed to be gluten free for an allergy, and were not. When this was pointed out to them it was immediately corrected by the waitress with apologies from her and the manager who came by several times & who also insisted there be no charge for the rib meal due to their error. We were happy to have paid for the proper order but they removed it 100% from the bill. We would go there again but next time would just be extra sure that the meal is as intended before starting to eat. We are impressed that they took their error so seriously and went to such lengths to correct it. :)

The service this time around was AMAZING! Our server Tiffany took great care of us and we waited no time at all for our food and drinks! The manager Sammy was also a great help as what we wanted wasn't on the menu anymore due to promotion changes. But we he made sure that we were satisfied! The staff all sure seemed happy to be back at work and it really showed! We will definitely be back again.

I have been to Montana's quite a few times with different people. There hasn't been a time we didn't enjoy it. A friend and went there for lunch one day and it ended up being the same price as a popular fast-food restaurant except Montana's menu was tastier. My husband and I went tonight. He said it was the best ribs he had ever had. I had the buttermilk chicken. Yummy!! To top it all off, all of the staff are so friendly and helpful - always with a smile on their faces.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner tonight. The service was good and quick. The ribs were amazing. We asked for an apple crisp to take home. Fine and dandy. Well we get home and I opened up my dessert and it was maybe 3 bites big, and there was little pieces of ribs sitting on top. Almost looked like someone's leftovers. Did not eat it and wont be ordering dessert there again unless I eat it there.

We had concern about the portion of their food, so we called the manager. But don't try to complaint because the manager talks too loud that everyone will hear her and knows that you are complaining. She is not friendly at all.. As if you are complaining because you are after the discount, because she keeps on saying I can give you discount, I can give discount. Didn't even go into details on why the portion is too small.. when she speaks it felt like she is yelling at you and it was your fault.. never coming there again.. Mr. Mike's Restaurant has the better service...

I'm very disappointed, we have been clients of Montanas since they opened, and this is the second time I have ordered take-out and I get my burned and dried meat. I don't know what happens but the person in charge of the kitchen, should know that well done does not mean burning the meat.

Great place for a family to eat out eith their kids. It can be expensive, but doesn't have to be if you know how to budget a restaurant visit (ie. Order the $15 meal instead of the $30.one). Also great if you want to treat yourself and order something more expensive. Had the ribs and shrimp combo, and it was fantastic. Kids all loved their $8 meals.

Enjoyed a very good fajita without the flour tortilla. I ordered the side of guacamole for $1.99 and was served about 1 tablespoon. Very disappointed with the size of serving for the price especially when I omitted the tortilla.

Went there with about 5 of our friends for our regular " Wing Night" Looking for a change, Ordered the Cilantro Chicken, Which came with rice and vegetables. My Chicken tasted like it was cooked a day or two prior, Rice was hard and undercooked, and vegetable medley was cold... although it looked like it was supposed to be served hot.... when the server came around to ask how everything was, I explained to him how my dish was cold, undercooked and chicken tasted rewarmed, he pretty much said " Oh... Well Sorry, That Sucks.." And walked away. Talked to a manager as well and no luck. They removed my barely touched plate from the table without offering a change of dish or refund. If I wasn't so buzzed and happy from the drinks our group was ordering I may have walked right out. Highly Disliked the lack of customer appreciation there. They didn't care about our experience at all. I may return in the future in hopes of a better experience but if anything like that happens again , ill be raising hell.

Basic chain restaurant food, inexperienced waitress. Asked for a medium rare steak and received a fully cooked one, by the time the waitress came back around to check on our meals my table was almost done and I had given up and started eating the steak, so complaining was useless. I'm giving it a three just because I expected it to be like this anyway and I enjoyed drawing on the table. If you're into places with sub par food that sings happy birthday to tables then this is the place for you. Too many great local places to bother coming back

Not as good as other locations I have been to. Made a few mistakes but had no issues rectifying the mistakes. The food was okay, not as good as other experiences at other locations. Our table had no paper on it, so my kids were upset they couldn't draw on the table. Gave a 4 star review because of quality of service. Staff there are absolutely great. Food could definitely be improved!

Popped in for a late supper. The chicken was evidently warmed up, either on the rock plate or in the microwave beforehand so each bite was different in temperature. However, the ribs were meaty and awssome, cooked to order for sure. And the sauce... If you like a nice smoky barbecue sauce, or something sweet with a kick, check out Montana's.

Second time being here and unfortunately not impressed. The service was pretty good and the atmospher is good. But the food isn't anything special. The first time i came i got the pulled pork sandwich and waited forever to get it, by the time it got to me it was cold. And now today, got the brisket grilled cheese sandwich and yet again it was cold, and the meat was flavourless and tough to eat. Asked to get it warmed up and it came back extremely hot like someone put it in the microwave on high, the bread was falling apart and the meat was everywhere it looked like someone through my sandwich back together in a rush. Definitely wont be coming back.

It's also really hard to eat here as a vegetarian (I know it's a steakhouse!). I would probably pick a different place to go if I was going out for drinks or meeting up. Their tables were also not incredibly intuitive to big groups. They still do the birthday song though which is really cool. 3 stars because it's very average.

We have been to Montana's a few times since it opened and have found it is getting worse as time goes on .Saturday night we went fo supper and ordered appetizers before our meal the wings were at best room temperature the spinach dip was dry and when we got out meals i didn't think i ordered off a kids menu because i got a very few fries with my chicken strips. Everyone else ordered ribs which were good but thankfully we brought our own napkins because apparently you don't have any extras.Overall a less than positive experience

The service is usually not very great but tonight everything was terrible. It took far too long to get a drink. The ribs tasted like they’ve been left on the counter all day. The gravy was cold. It looked like the cap fell off the seasoning shaker when they seasoned the chicken bites there was just too much. I can understand if someone orders 8 appetizers and wants to take them all home but if someone just wants to take their leftovers of one or two home make sure you tell them before they order that they either need to leave them or pay full price. I’ve never complained about terrible food or service before but I couldn’t hold back. It’s never been a great place to eat but now I’m certain it’s terrible. I will not suggest this to anyone

Very Disappointing meal. Ordered my favorite which I get in Saskatoon all the time chicken fingers, fries and gravy. You'd think it would a be simple as its all deep fried but chicken was raw and fries were cold. Best part was the gravy! February 2020: Place has slipped considerably. Use to be almost perfect but the last few times both the service and the meal were subpar. Couple days ago almost everything was overcooked. Terrible service! couldn't even make a reservation - I was transfer to another station where no one answer for about 5 minutes; then when someone did answer,I asked for a reservation again and was put on hold for another 6 minutes where I finally got tired of waiting and hung up. A fast paced, exciting venue for interesting food. We have eaten there several times, and it has always been busy. They do not take reservations. Food wise, ribs are their specialty, and, according to our friends, for good reason. My wife and I had their on-sale steak special. It was only average and disappointing to us. To us, their medium rare steak was more like rare to rarer than rare. The service is quite good. So, overall they get a 4, especially if you like a fast paced, busy venue with great ribs.

Food is usually pretty good, however the service needs improvement to make it a place you want to come back too. Several times now I've had servers who do not come back in a timely manner to take orders, for first drinks and seldom come back to refill drinks or check on our dining experience. On one occasion we had a group of 6 and when our server found out that we were having just appetizers and no alcohol we were left for over 10 minutes before we could order our drinks and food. Our appetizers were dropped off and we weren't checked for over 40 minutes after. No refills, nothing. I've been with a group of 20+ and we only had one sever, please get an additional server for groups so large.

Took my family today. The service was slow as we waited over 30 minutes for our food after ordering. The food was mediocre at best and we were really disappointed. Horrible customer service. I won’t be going back to that Montana’s anytime soon and I will be sharing my experience with others.

Letting ya know Montanas, the Southwest Sirloin salad last night was forgettable. Did not arrive with my 3 friends rib orders.. the kitchen food server explained a mistake had been made and the dressing was to come on the side, (confusing as mixed greens were to be tossed with creamy cilantro dressing in menu description). 10 minutes later my original waitress asked me(!) if my salad was to come out soon. I replied that I hope so..lol. At 19.99, it was heavy on I think iceberg lettuce and devoid of real color as the menu depicted. With the restaurant's error, the late meal's steak was cold.. and my friends watched me eat it. I did not even ask, and my server offered to take it off our bill :( Wasn't my first visit and won't be my last at this time just offering some feedback.

Ordered take out for the first time. I had Montana's before in Fort Saskatchewan and it was phenomenal. The one here in GP was good. I had the big smoke sampler with the beans. Ribs were yummy and sausge was good also. The brisket was a bit bland and dry hence the 3 rating. All in all a solid first time ordering hopefully I can give a better rating next time

Came in the other day and enjoyed one of their signature burgers. The staff were pleasant and ready to help. There was always a smile to be seen (even through all the masks). Unfortunatly, the bacon on my burger was undercooked, so when I bit in, the bacon pulled it all apart. A small thing as if the bacon is cured it won't hurt me. However, when the bacon is as thick as it is there and clearly a signature of the burger it need to be cooked further, otherwise it latches on to everything it touches. Otherwise, good food, good atmosphere will certainly give it another try in the future.

Yesterday a friend and I went to Montana’s for half price wings because they have that special on Mondays. We went on consecutive Mondays and ordered the exact same thing both times just the double dusted wings and thats it. Well for some odd reason the staff particularly our waiter who we had both weeks seemed upset by that and treated us much differently compared to the previous Monday. The wings were over cooked, the honey garlic sauce was scant and the waiter walked by us a couple times and didn’t ask us how are food was. This felt intentional. We were left feeling very unwelcomed. All the other times we have been there the service was excellent but this time was totally different and I don’t see any reason for this other than they were mad we only ordered half price wings. DON’T have that special if you don’t want ppl coming on Monday’s for half price wings. The experience was so bad that I will never go to a Montana’s ever again in my life and Montana’s was one of my favourite restaurants in Prince Albert.

I love Montana's ambience, warm and rustic, free and country. I like the music, I have to say is a bit noisy place maybe because people feel happy and outgoing there. Also the watermelon candy they give you for free. I had the delicious beef ribs, and I liked it till the last mouthful.

The meat is seemly the only thing they put effort into giving flavor. The vegetables and salads are sub par both as starters and sides, and the service is no more than average. Also, if you buy wine and decide to buy the bottle you HAVE to finish it as they will not allow you to leave with it. This location does not live up to the hype I came to expect when it was opened in this city.

Took my daughter in for a birthday meal awhile back. I ordered a grilled chicken breast dish, can't remember the name, but it was the smallest portion of chicken I have ever seen. It didn't even look like HALF a grilled chicken breast. It looked more like the cook cut off a chunk of someone else's chicken breast and put it on my plate. I think that was punishment for ordering a heart healthy dish that wasn't that pricey? See, I was trying to lose weight after being severely overweight for most of my life. From the attitude of the owner/manager? (typical P.A. business owner that thinks they're a super genius to be admired for opening a business) I was just a complaining cheapskate.

Food was great, Worst service I have ever experienced! Once our food was there we were completely ignored. I even put my empty glass on the outside of the table which our waiter saw and went on. We had to get up and go to the desk to try and pay which we were told that we had to pay at the table.... Would be fine if we weren't ignored. (our dishes were stacked and we were obviously done). So he comes drops the debit machine down and walks away... We were paying cash. Not a word was really said to us after we ordered. I get one or two date nights a year with my husband I don't expect to pay for this kind of service. There definitely needs to be some customer service training in that location the staff seemed cold and closed off.

I’ve been going very frequently lately and service and food has been great, service was really good until tonight when me and my girlfriend were served by this guy Amiel, his service was god awful, wasn’t friendly at all, didn’t even greet us. He went straight to the drink and food orders, when we got our meal, he didn’t even ask how the food tasted or anything. At the end when I gave him my gift card, he just said “doesn’t work,” and didn’t give a single effort to try it again or ask for the number so he could write it himself. He didn’t even try and make our night enjoyable, didn’t suggest a good appetizer after we asked about one that wasn’t very good according to him. I’ve had bad waiters but this by far was the worst server I’ve ever encountered. It definitely ruined my date and not to mention having to pay the full price when I could’ve easily gotten money taken off.... very disappointed, felt very disrespected

Placed an order through skip the dishes for fish and chips didn't get the chips. When I called the restaurant the person I spoke to said I ordered salad instead. No I ordered fish and chips and added a salad. She then told me I had to phone skip the dishes to get a credit. I had to argue with her to get them to deliver the chips. After several weeks avoiding the swarms of people, we snuck in for lunch on a Sunday. We were seated immediately, and our server was prompt and friendly the entire visit. The decor is excellent, clean and well laid out. Comfortable seating, great menu and comparable prices. The food was very good, and looking forward to trying multiple menu items. The only negative for this "Bar" and grill, is the lack of a true lounge area. The east seating area is technically the lounge, but noisy children are welcome until closing.

Well, gave it 3 tries a couple months apart each. All 3 times was for supper, right at 5 or shortly before. All 3 the rack of ribs was 'cool' in the middle, outside edge warm amd tasty but middles cool and not so tasty. Each time was for a special occasion and each time we left disappointed. 3 strikes and you're out! Side note, waitress and manager lady were all fantastic, atmosphere was nice but kitchen was the weak link.

This location is still quite new and the day that we visited it happened to be overcrowded but we were able to find a pair of seats at the bar, which turned out to be a blessing as we quite enjoyed the service from the bartender, and the front row seats to the TVs. Our server was super cordial and always smiling. We will be back. The food, as always was fantastic.

Yeehaw! We PBR'd all over this place. A romping good time, aces high. The service was 8 seconds and inspiring as Lane Frost. No animals were harmed during this rodeo. Well that's a lie, a lot of cows went to the bone orchard for our meal. Our bucking waitress Holly broke the barrier for us. Food came down the chutes and almost knocked the chaps right off me. She was running cloverleaf around us in her waitress zone. I freehanded my burger without using my eating irons and only got hung up on my crowbait paper straw. Their salad was also a lick and a promise but they're not known for salads! I would re-ride this place any time, we were full as a tick.

First time visiting we asked for a booth but were seated at a high table in lounge and told once the booth beside us was cleaned we could move over. As the girl was finishing up cleaning, a couple was waiting to be seated there by the same girl who told us we could have it. No exaggeration we sat with no drinks for 18 minutes, when asked our server where our drinks are she gave attitude then chose to ignore us after dropping them off. Another girl expediting food was very friendly and had our drinks refilled. Our server didn't come around again until it was time to pay, with a scowl on her face and no small talk I might add. Otherwise drinks were delicious and food was great (hence the 2 stars) Second time.. tried to make a reservation for my daughter's birthday for 10 people, was told they are not taking reservations so on the day of, we show up and were told it's going to be an hour and half wait (there were tables available I'm assuming it was just a power trip or incapable of handling a table of 10). With my daughter upset and looking forward to her night out we decided to go to Mr. Mike's where they arranged to have us seated right away and our server was amazing on her own. 3rd and last time! So grossed out! Got a take out meal.. 6 rack of ribs and one was singled out of the rack looked like a chewed bone re-sauced. Loaded baked potato had maybe half a teaspoon of toppings that cost an extra $2.00. Blah never again. I posted a pic on my social media's. Yuck!

Told 20 minute wait, seated after 50 minutes. Not impressed. If you think it’s going to be more than 20 minutes, don’t waste people’s time. Went for wings. The server didnt to ask us what we wanted to drink and walked away. I had to get her attention to order drinks. Later, had to get her attention for refills. I must note it wasn't busy. When we were leaving another customer told us when we walked in my niece dropped 5 bucks. The server noticed and picked up the $$ and put it in her pocket without telling us. I am glad customer said something or else server wouldn't have. I asked server about the $$ and she made up a lie where she found it but gave the $$ back anyway. She was obviously guilty.
