I love Harvey's, however this has to be the worst one in the country! My burger is ice cold 9/10 times here. The service is awful, they cannot coordinate between taking orders and making food, expect an excessively long wait both inside and at the drive through.

Waited nearly 40 minutes from the time we walked through the door to the time we finally got our food. Nearly everything was cold except for the very last burger we got. Asked for the military discount, but the cashier said that she didn’t have the supervisor’s code needed yo give it to us. The people two groups behind us got it though, since they pushed a little and she finally went to ask the supervisor (who was maybe five meters away from her) to get the number. Seriously disappointed in our experience and won’t be coming back again. I suggest you do the same.

I was there at about 1130 and wanted to get a jump on the lunch crowd. I was able to walk right up to the counter, place my order and have a great Angus hamburger within minutes of parking the car. The morning ladies were quite friendly and fast!

New Petewawa venue disapointinly found dark and cold atmosphere. Co-ordial staff high volume drive thru and saddly just not the go to place it used to be when it was the spot in Ottawa in the 70"s and the cook Johnny ran the show in the west end. And Algonquin college helped designing the places.

Terrible. After being in isolation for 10 days due to being sick with covid, this was my first outing for a meal. How very disappointing. They got my order wrong and when I called to complain, the assistant manager more or less called me a liar. My burger was also cold that my cheese didn't even melt Almost every time you I go there, they get something wrong. I want my tip back and my time. What a waste of $30

Great Canadian Burgers..this location unlike the ones in Niagara Falls always offers great value Deals....We had no issues up until today March,17,2021 around 1.45 pm @ this location, When we ordered our family combo Meal ,My daughter pulled out a Long Light color hair that was stuck between her teeth while she was eating her junior hamburger.. she took the burger back they gave her another Burger..My question is: In the middle of Covid pandemic. is this the health hygienic steps to follow up in a popular restaurant????? Avoid placing mobile orders at this location. Don’t make the same mistake I did. My Buffalo chicken burger was cold, and the bottom of the bun was soggy from sitting around waiting for a front end staff member to realize a mobile order had come through. My order pick up time came and went, and I only received my food after asking a staff member if they had received a mobile order. I guess my plain chicken burger had been sitting around getting cold and soggy the whole time, and the toppings were only put on after I contacted a staff member. My brother placed an order as well, which was also missed/ignored. He wasted $1 adding bacon to his Buffalo chicken wrap, and only received a few bacon bits scattered throughout the wrap. The picture on the app clearly shows two bacon strips. I would recommend, skipping this location and eating at the A&W or McDonald’s on either side of this place.

The Harvey’s experience was wonderful with correct order, hot food, friendly service and clean restaurant/bathrooms. We had an absolutely disgusting experience at the McDonald’s down the street. There was garbage strewn throughout the inside/outside the restaurant. Bathrooms were filthy. Workers were rude and condescending to all the customers inside McD’s. Our order was wrong, food was cold and they blamed us on this. It was so bad we threw the order in garbage and went to our new favourite fast food place … Harvey’s. Thank you Harvey’s as you saved our evening with a wonderful experience!

I feel like people don't understand the difference between quick service resturants and fast food resturants like MacDonalds. A ten min wait for a 1/4 chicken is more than reasonable for me. Worst service I have ever received ! Service is very slow. First time I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap... only received TWO pieces of chicken in my wrap! Then second not one employee wore gloves when handling the food. As I watched the gentleman making my poutine he got some gravy on his fingers.. then licked his fingers and continued ! As the lady was making my burger she was also not wearing any gloves and was holding the toppings on my burger with her fingertips before placing the bun on top. Terrible ! Will not be returning.

This Harvey's has great service and also has a Swiss chalet. They have accessible.parkikg and entrances as well as washrooms. Their sandwiches are fresher then the one we eat at in the north... Where they always burn the hotdog. My son opened his sandwich today and was surprised and happy it wasn't burnt . We stop there on our way from and to our city in the north. Nice place for the family and lots of seats. I'm updating this review after two months. We are there last weekend at 9:30 on Sunday and I ordered the grilled chicken build a bowl ... The grilled chicken was not real chicken. It was so more like a tofu kind of thing. This is the first time I eat such a bad chicken at Harvey's I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that before. I hope it's an incident and they didn't change their meats. I will leave pictures of the chicken as well... (Disappointed)

It's hit and miss here. If you're getting Harvey's food it's usually good, but the Swiss Chalet often has quality issues. The buns are often hard, the sauce has been too runny on multiple occasions and the ribs over cooked (dry).

Womens washroom was disgusting - to use my wife's words. When we arrived there was 12 people in front of us waiting to be served. Only 1 cash open. After waiting 10 minutes with little progress, we gave up and left for the Subway st the north end of town. No line-up; no waiting; clean washrooms. Nuff said!!!

With good overall reviews, I must have come in at the wrong time. This location is close to the highway so I was hoping to get a quick meal while travelling. The signs were not lit up so I thought they are closed, but there was a small Open sign in the window. When I came in there was a long lineup and no one was taking orders. Bunch of staff was working in the kitchen part of the restaurant. I waited patiently with 3 people in front of me. After 5 mins or so, 2 people in front of me left and after another 2 minutes or so with no staff coming to the counter I left as well... to Subway restaurant down the street.

If I was to review this place a year ago - I would have gave it 1 star. Previous owner did not care. Staff did not care. Food service was bad. Food quality was bad. *BUT* since new management came along. This is the best fast food experience you will ever get. Great staff. Great service. Great food. I have eaten at a lot of fast food restaurants across Canada/US, and this one is right at the top of my list. Keep up the good work!

The food was good, but this location had a critical staffing shortage, and it was extremely busy. As a result, it took about 10 or more minutes in line to place an order. Even though there was no lockdown going on, the dining room was shut down, and only takeout service was available. There is no patio on which to eat, and every trash bin outdoors was overflowing with trash and piling up on the ground. The washrooms we're in an appalling condition, and lacked basic supplies like hand towels. My takeout did not include napkins or condiments.

I was taking the northland bus and we had a 15 minute stop. We had a bit of a line from the passengers, but they took care of us all within that 15 minutes. Good restaurant, good employees, and good food. However the prices I find are a bit high compared to other fast food places (That's on the Harvey's company though and not this location). Very few places to go (to the washroom) and this was not one of them. Poor direction signs on doors. If they want you to use another door lock the one you shouldn’t use. If we buy food we should be able to use facilities too. Not all Harvey’s are like this one either. We do like Harvey’s restaurants that do the right thing so check it out first.

Hardest working person I seen working this evening while I had to wait for three fries and one burger for ten minutes after getting everything else I ordered for 5 people, getting cold nonetheless, was the young lady with glasses, pleasing demeanor and appearance, cleaning the other side of the restaurant. She gave me her name on my way out, which I told her I'll leave a review for her performance only, because, like my father taught me, If you have time to lean, you have time to clean. This is your typical off the highway Harvey's with Swiss Chalet attached. The staff has always been friendly, the washrooms are clean and so is the dinning area. There have been a few more recent updates with a large screen television streaming the news. There is a drive through available. Last time I visited I had the double chicken leg meal and the chicken was moist and tender. I would stop here again.

This was our first dining experience at the Petawawa location and guaranteed that it will be our last. The cashier couldn’t give us the military discount because she couldn’t remember her supervisor’s code; to find out later that the supervisor was right there and instead of asking her she just denied us the discount without any apologies. It took 40 minutes to get our food from beginning to end - first having our fries put on our tray after the first 20 minutes but the burgers and wrap not being ready for an additional 20 minutes after that so our fries were stone cold by the time we were actually able to sit down and eat. Please don’t waste your time and money as this location is a HUGE disappointment in service, food preparation, and cleanliness.

It was my daughters birthday and she received a free hamburger on the app. She was excited to get something for free so I took her to Harvey’s and sent her in. After 30 min she comes out with her burger. 30 min for one burger!! She informed me there was only one customer ahead of her. There was a new cashier and only one cook on a Friday evening. I was happy to have this location open in Petawawa but after repeated poor service I will drive to the Pembroke location which is great. I have not had issues with the Swiss Chalet app ordering as long as I give them at least an hour.

The only reason im even even giving one star is the fact that the food was ok. First off i asked for cheese on my wrap and they didnt give it to me had to back and ask for it. Second the emplyee touched a veggie that im alleric to the touhed my food. So i made it know and he got all but hurt and said" maybe make sure you tell us next time" all sassy. They did make me a new one. But the amount of cross contamination was crazy!! My friend said she doesnt even bother getting extras cause of her allergies. She doesnt want to take the risk. Like really that shouldnt even need to be a problem! Each iteam should have a separate serving utensil. Be careful!

I have given this Harvey's so many chances. I kept making excuses for them. Maybe I came too late, maybe it was just the staff working that night but time after time the food was terrible. I don't mind waiting, if the food is made fresh. The last time I went, it was 530pm, no one in front of me and they had my food ready right away but it was cold, very cold. Which made me wonder if my food had been sitting around for hours. Had a friend come visit and I warned him not to get Harvey's but he did and couldn't eat it, it tasted so bad. Never again!

This location for Harvey's had the best staff I have had in a while, the food was also excellent, Harvey's fries can sometimes be soggy or to small but my wife and I must have had the luck to find a fry cook who actually washes the fries before deep frying them (thats the secret!). Either way it was the best Harvey's I've had the chance to go to. Certainly head here if in Petawawa, military discount too for the troops in the area!

went through the drive thru ordered no problem, get home a 20 min drive away, open up my burger and all I can smell is pickle and mustard. I was asked if I wanted everything on it and my reply was nothing on it. call the manager says he remebers the order but he was wrong, offers to replace, ask him about if i was allergic he had no answers that where satisfactory, I said it had happened before, he asked did they replace it NO he offers to replace both, I ask what am I to do for supper, his reply can't you scrape it off, this is ridiculous, the smell of mustard is making me sick. He keeps apologizing but never says what he will do concerning the staff, retraining maybe or maybe just proper training in the first place. I can't even give a star but have to so I can post this

Ordered a spicy chicken burger and wasn't told they don't have it, made a buffulo burger instead and I complained, then they said they don't have it. They can switch to another burger, but that's not the point. I might not have ordered anything, they said I can refund my money. Not very appologitic, the lady was very rude actually. Probably not going back again. Then they thought I ordered chicken strips which I did not, but kept asking what sauce I wanted, bad service. There was only like 2 customers and they still got things wrong.

They were handling burgers, fries, and chicken strips with their bare hands! No gloves were used at all--only the lady up front who puts the condiments on and bagged the food was wearing gloves. The one cook was tossing a slice of cheese back and forth in his hands while waiting for a patti to cook. I was so grossed out that I did not eat my food that I paid for.
