Today was my first time eating from here. I got the curry chicken wrap, & it was delicious. Actual, real spice, great flavor, and the roti was fantastic. (I think it was homemade?) Nice decor in the restaurant, and the staff were friendly & personable. One of my new favorite restaurants in Fredericton.

The Multicultural Association of Carleton County has had many events at a number of locations with a varied number of participants, where we have used Caribbean Flavas catering. Most recently we had them work for us during our Multicultural Harvest Dinner. Participants enjoyed a great variety of flavors while being served in a professional and entertaining manner. Naz has been excellent to work with and our guests enjoy not only the food but his easy going personality, positivity and entertaining spirit. Caribbean Flava's recently provided breakfast for our Business over Breakfast that we hosted with the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce. The quality of the food was top notch and the menu selection was creative and delicious. We had about 40 people at our event and the feedback from our guests was great. I would recommend booking Caribbean Flava's for any catering event, and I will book again if the occasion arises. PS- the coffee was incredible too. Thank you!

Not very good customer service, I went in to eat about half a year ago. I was seated and made my drink order, but my drinks didn't arrive within 10 minutes and I never got to make my order for food, so I just left. We had dinner here tonight looking for some spicy food that was gluten free. Being real fans of jerk spice and curries, we were delighted to find Caribbean Flavas! We shared the jerk chicken and chicken curry with cashews and coconut. Both were extremely flavourful with generous portions. It is such a relief to know that everything there is gluten free except the naan bread and coconut cake! We were amused to hear the spice levels which began with “tingle” and ended with “double cry”. Haha The owner, who introduced himself as Papa was very friendly and informative about Fredericton. Chef Naz spoke with us and went out of his way to introduce us to friends of his who were visiting. A very welcoming and unique gluten free place to eat in downtown Fredericton. we were so glad to find it!

It was delicious and I liked the atmosphere but it was over priced. It didn't seem kid friendly even though it has a kids menu. A tiny pizza and seriously 6 fries cost $10.99 for my kid! No drink or anything included. Small portions for the price. Owner and staff were very nice. A suggestion would be to lower the price of the kids meal and have crayons and paper available for the kids so that the parents can enjoy their time.

We stopped by because it was a) so close to our AirBnB b) it was well rated c) we like food with a kick. Wow! The restaurant demonstrates why it has such a high rating right from the start with attentive staff, a friendly host, great food recommendations, terrific appetizer (samosas like you have never had them with phyllo and a spicy sauce), kick-a$$ jerk chicken and a spicy veg and chicken jambalaya. The heat choices are tingle, sweat and *breathing fire* (Seriously, I can't remember the last choice). Sweat made me sweat alright - between my eyebrows... lol. It was terrific! A lassi was required as a fire extinguisher to take the heat down a notch so I could continue to enjoy!!! You will not be disappointed. Oh yeah, and the mango ice cream dessert was amazing. Thanks Mamma & Family!!!

The worst part was trying to decide what to order. Excellent and personalized service from the moment I walked in to pickup my takeout. Very friendly and welcoming environment. Food was amazing and and a nice change of flavor. To top off the exceptional experience, a follow up call asking if I enjoyed my meal! That was first for me! It is so nice not having to cook for myself for a change! Enough for 2 OR in my case, 2 meals for 1. The slightly spicy lentil soup of the day and the Cajun southern fried chicken (Cry level of spice) with corn rice and coconut garlic mashed was exactly what I needed. The type of spicy that clears the sinuses, makes you sweat, and also feel amazing while still retaining flavour. Crazy spicy and super flavourful. They now only do delivery and pickup because of COVID-19, but they maintain a safe environment and to give you a little taste of their great in-house service, they even call you after to thank you and make sure the meal was great. THANK YOU Caribbean Flavas for being so great and reminding people of the many benefits buying local provide.

Delicious! Most authentic ethnic food we've experienced since moving too N.B. As soon as you step in you can smell the wonderfull scent of spices in the air. Had the slow roasted beef rib on the bone, jerk chicken and apple cinnamon lamb shank. ALL great. Hosted by Naz made for a lovely meal.

FANTASTIC! My boyfriend and I just moved to Fredericton and we have been having a hard time finding restaurants we enjoy. Stopped in today at Carribean Flavas and it blew us away. The food was amazing, the combinations of flavours were on the next level. I had the curry wrap and my boyfriend had the kebabs and garlic naan (we shared of course) and we loved it. The chef came out and suggested how to eat the meal (which was great because we obviously didn't know what we were doing). He was incredibly friendly and informative. I asked him to suggest a dessert and it did not disappoint. Coconut ice cream with chocolate mousse, perfect for cleansing the palate. Hand's down the best restaurant in Fredericton and one of the best restaurants I have ever been to!!

Ordered the Sweet Apple lamb and it was completely tasteless with no salt and a high amount of spices. also the chef told me that it comes with an appetizer/side but when i checked the bill , I was charged sperately for the appetizer. 1 naan bread is priced at 4 dollars. absolutely over prized food without any quality. definitely not going back.

This is THE BEST restaurant in Fredericton. Every time I visit family from out west I make sure to go. Every dish served by Naz is honestly amazing. Ambience is awesome and staff is friendly and ready to explain anything. This is a must stop if traveling through Fredericton. It is closed Sunday and Monday be aware though.

Caribbean Flavas has excellent appeal for those accustomed to the diversity of flavours found in multicultural settings like Toronto or Ottawa, combined with the small town friendliness that the Maritime is known for. Although their menu is small it has been well tested and you are sure to find something to please your palate.

Visiting Fredericton from Halifax. Being from the Caribbean (Barbados,) I thought I'd try Caribbean Flavas and ordered the Roti. I love Roti and haven't had one in a couple of years as I haven't been able to go home. It arrived and once I opened the wrapping, I was transported. I bit into it and was in heaven. It was very hot (temperature), and I kept putting it down and telling myself to let it cool a bit. But I couldn't leave it alone. Such a good roti and Mama's Double Chocolate Brownie Balls was the perfect treat for after. Will definitely order again. May stop in on my way to Saint John tomorrow for another! :D

Papa Flavas was a welcoming host. We were visiting from Toronto and looking for a halal place to check out in Fredericton. We ordered the jambalaya and the chicken wings. The jambalaya was ordered with the "tingling" spice level and we found we could have gone with more spice. The chicken wings, with a customized order of a pineapple BBQ sauce was our favourite. Definitely a must visit restaurant if looking for halal cuisine in Fredericton.

This is an old review that I never got to submitting until now - we went back in 2015 and I thought to share our experience. We were passing by Fredericton on our road trip and there were, if I remember correctly, only 2 halal places at that time. This was one of them. It was the best decision we made in Fredericton, to go Naz's Caribbean Flavas. The decor and atmosphere was really nice (it seemed like it was recently renovated). The washrooms were just super clean (my wife still thinks about them). Naz came out and made us feel comfortable and welcomed in Fredericton. He even made accommodations so we could pray before we hit the road again. The food was even better - it was fresh and seasoned just right and super succulent. I have never had a meal at a restaurant quite like this one. My wife and I have both travelled our fair share - it's surprising that in a small city like this one, we had the BEST restaurant experience of our lives ... from entrance, to ordering, to being served our food, to eating and then leaving. One thing to note, is that coming from Toronto, the price to me was a little high. However, even given that, this is still 5 stars from me. It's well worth it! If you are ever in Fredericton, you definitely want to hit up this restaurant. If I'm ever back in this city, I'll definitely go there again!

Best restaurant in Fredericton. My family and i went there couple years ago and everything was perfect. The food, the greeting.wawww!! Its a family restaurant. The dad was our server and he came every minutes to ask if everything is ok and we also had a long conversation. We really need more people like that for our costumer services. I decided to try something different today, rather then getting the average burger and Fry. Wow am I ever impressed. I called in a take out order and was pleased that the man on the phone cared about what I wanted as a customer and even called me later that day to make sure the meal was satisfactory. When I got to the restaurant I was offered a tour because I was a new customer. I got to hear about all the great causes they support in our community and about the famous people who have eaten there; Sean Paul , Snoop dog and Leonard Cohen to name a few. The friendly staff there are second to none. Now for the best part , the food. Wow was I ever blown away by the variety of flavas. I ordered the Jamaican jerk burger with mango salsa and curry onion rings and decided to try the beef samosas with the spicy dip. Every bite was an experience , the onion rings were to die for. It was an on the go meal that left me wanting more . I will definitely be coming back to try something new off the menu. Thanks for a one of a kind experience in our tiny but beautiful city!

I just enjoyed the chickpea curry with rice, it was unbelievably tasty and flavourful! Plus I managed to mess up my order twice but the staff was extremely understanding and accommodating. They even ended up giving me the dinner plate instead of the lunch. Highly recommended! Also really gooood music and comfortable patio.

Naz and his team at Caribbean Flavas catered our Chamber of Commerce networking event last month. From start to finish, they were incredible to work with. They listened to suggestions re: food offerings, but used their experience to counterpropose options that would work best. The personalized service was appreciated, as they came to the site to see the space they were working with and to talk face to face about our expectations and needs. On the day of the event, the serving area was tastefully set up and worked well with our existing decor. The cupcakes with our logo on the icing were a special surprise! We loved them! We would happily work with Caribbean Flavas again in a heartbeat.

This family run business is a gem in downtown Fredericton. I don't think there is a more welcoming restaurant in the city. The food is delicious and a good value. As a warning even the mild is spicy for some. A must try!

The Caribbean Flavas staff are always so kind, and they have great food, probably the best in the downtown area. Their food is very unique, and you will not find anything else like it in Fredericton. If you like very spicy food, you will be impressed, and if you want to stay away from spicy food, they will have something for you too. It’s too bad that they have not been back at the Highland games because they were incredibly popular when they were there and definitely provided the most positive experience for those who attended the games.

I am in Halifax and if we had a place like this I'd be there almost every week. Your Review I had to have a business meeting catered with only a few days notice, was on a budget and had some dietary restrictions. I went on line to the Caribbean Flava's Catering website, typed in my situation and was pleasantly pleased and surprised by the prompt and thorough personal response with menu options that I received. When I emailed the dinner menu options to the attendees, the response was - not choice A or choice B- but all of it! Our curry selection was delicious and I am still receiving comments on how wonderfully authentic it was. The food was the highlight of the meeting. I would definitely use the CF catering service again because it was quick and easy to order, could be tailored to specific requirements, was delicious and served on time. I highly recommend the CF catering service and their food!

We did take out for the first time there. The person that answers the phone was super friendly and welcoming. He was able to answer all questions about the menu we ordered the curry wrap, jerk chicken dinner and something else can't remember what it was called. We went to pick up the dinner and he had written a nice let message welcoming us to new Brunswick as we mentioned we were new here. The food was just as amazing as the service we will be ordering again soon. Never experienced this over the top service before.

What can I say apart from ZOO WEE MAMA! I recently visited Caribbean Flavas for lunch and had an excellent time. The man who was serving my friend and I was very friendly and funny. I ordered the Island Jambalaya which not only was delicious, but was a good serving size as well. Not necessarily enough to take leftovers home, but enough to have you feeling satisfied. I'm not sure exactly how they seasoned the sausage, but it was out of this world. When ordering the Jambalaya the owner asked us how spicy we wanted our meals on a scale from tingle to sweat. I personally went for the "tingle plus" which was perfect for someone who can handle some spice but is not a spice-meister per say. My friend got the sweat and to my surprise he did not sweat. Whether this is because he is a spice-meister or not I am not too sure, but he did say it was really spicy. I'm not sure if it was the spice or the nutritional value of the food, but the meal made me feel rejuvenated, and well.... ALIVE. It's hard to explain, but not many meals make me feel that way. Two final things to note; Firstly, anyone looking to have a beer or two with their meal should know that Carribean Flavas does not serve beer. This is not a bad thing, but just something I wanted to mention. Second, all the staff were excellent at following the Covid protocols. Travelled from Toronto with two colleagues to attend a conference and managed to squeeze into C Flavas prior to closing. Great host, but sadly the Jambalaya didn't cut it (spicy but tasteless - no chicken). Similarly my associates left most of their food. In order to fill the emptiness we left with Jamaican meat patties (Seriously! Lettuce in a beef patty and the meat resembled a paste?) A $112 disappointment!

A minor hick up with our order but the restaurant took care of it quickly and with exceptional customer service. We ordered wings, wedges, samosas, coconut bread and the iced tea. I find most of the ethnic restaurant offerings in Fredericton to be a tamed down version of what they can be. However, I do not say this about Caribbean Flavas. With most of their menu options, they’ll ask how spicy you want it, on a five point scale. I’d suggest only going 3 or higher if you know what you are doing, because when they say they’ll make a curry spicy, they aren’t lying. In addition to being spicy, the curries are fresh and flavourful made with a thick sauce, meat, veggies, chickpeas and potatoes. My favourite dish is the curry wrap, which is less of wrap and more of a curry stew served inside a huge piece of wrapped, buttery naan. On the beverage front, the restaurant serves up a refreshing homemade iced tea and french pressed Blue Mountain Jamaican coffee. Service is incredibly friendly, with the owner acting as host and server to the small restaurant.
