Never ever liked this place. Like literally my entire life. Pizza is terrible, terrible crust/sauce ect. Barely any meat on the wings. Since I've gotten older customer service has deff decreased drastically. Went to pick up with my husband while visiting family and the back of the restaurant/owner were incredibly rude. Girls at the front were uber nice though.

I couldn't wait to write this review. I'm currently sitting in the restaurant still, stuffed with the biggest smile on my face. I can not say enough good things about this place. The food was impeccable. We got the fish and chips, mussels, one of the flatbread pizzas and the southern Italy platter... My goodness it was amazing. Great friendly staff, the food was beyond delicious, the environment is so welcoming and family friendly. Again, I can't shut up about this place. I'm a foodie so to get a 5 star from me is nearly impossible. I've never given a 5 star til now. Just WOW!

My wife and I just had lunch, she had the El Greco Pizza I had NY Deli Pizza, it was EXCELLENT! Service ( Kierstin) was EXCELLENT, price was decent at $35 tax incl with two iced teas. Highly recommend based on this visit!

pizza and wings are great, and the fries are some of my favorites. We tried something different recently since green acres has been so busy. We had fish n chips and veal parmesan. Pretty disappointed with both those dishes. fish seemed frozen, veal very tough....... good customer service, nice environment. Stick with the pizza and wings they are delish !!!

A nice local place with good food and big portions. I visited about six years ago and remembered it being a good meal, we were in Fort Erie last week and decided to try it out again. It was very enjoyable and we will return. I had the fish and chips my wife had the Slovakia both were very good. Next time we are in Fort Erie we will be sure to come again.

Still waiting for 3 subs that were ordered over an hour ago. We are regular customers who order roughly 2-3 times a week, called after waiting the 45 minutes we were told it was going to take and was told that it was out for delivery and would be delivered in the next couple of minutes. Waited another 10 minutes only to receive a call to say that it actually hadn’t left but would be leaving in the next 5 minutes. Wish we would have been told at time of order it would take so long as we would have ordered elsewhere. Will definitely be trying the other local pizza places after this poor experience

Our second time here,but whenever in Fort Erie it is the place for us.A warm friendly environment,friendly staff ,quick service.The pizza is the best...All food hot snd tasty...have a rootbeer float,a forgotten delight that is hard to find,but is a must when available.The seating is designed for maximum pleasure,not too close so groups can enjoy themselves and quiet spots for those looking to enjoy a meal and a nice conversation.There is a separate room that can be closed off for those special occasions.Stop for your favourite Italian fare,or just a rootbeer float you will leave planning your next visit.

Really good food. Love the old school feel to the place. The lampshades remind me of The Goodfellas. Very comfortable atmosphere even when packed. The servers are very polite and attentive. Free delivery in Fort Erie and that's awesome! Portions for certain dishes are great. I found the chicken wings to be small and slightly overpriced as a result. Their pizza is probably the best in Fort Erie. The prices are a little higher then chain pizza joints, but the ingredients taste of quality and freshness and their generosity with mozzarella is greatly appreciated. Unlike other pizzas, the dough/crust is one of the best parts. Try this place out if you get the chance.

I personally love the food myself, but my girlfriend was very upset after ordering there chicken parmesan with no sauce. Her chicken parmesan came out with sauce on it , so she sent it back and the cook just scraped the sauce off and sent it back to use. My girlfriend sent it back for the second time, so the cook gave her a new piece , but by now, the fries were stone cold and sauce was on some of the fries. By this time she was very upset and she will never go back, which is unfortunate because I actually would give the barrel a 4.5 star if this didnt happened to us. The cook should take more pride in his work and that should have nevered happened in the first place!!!

This is a real gem! Food is prepared with a Gordon Ramsey-esque kind of mantra. If there is a mistake made, they try and make it right. Mistakes are few as they take pride in everything that hits the pass. Delightful ownership and great food makes this a must stop for the whole family!

Unfortunately I ordered the steak sandwich with mayo and no tomatoes. I recieved it with tomatoes they did take it back to make another but a few moments later when I realized my husband was almost finished and asked them not to bother they said it was to late. My husband finished his lunch before mine came. I took a few bites there was no mayo. I just had them box it to go not wanting to be more of a pain. The waitress did apologize for the tomato mix up and offered us a small sundae to which we declined. No other compensation was offered. I was very disappointed☹

Was looking for a place to eat in Fort Eerie, but didn't want something I could get at home. So the wife and I decided on The Barrel. Walked in, very friendly environment. Once seated we were quickly greeted and drink orders taken. I respect a server/restaurant that aknowledges you as soon as you sit down. Even if it's just a greet and "I will be right back to get your drink order". We ordered, and our salads were there within minutes, very good, fresh and crisp. Just after the salad came, a hot and fresh loaf of garlic bread was delivered, Perfect timing. And then the mains. I had spaghetti and meatballs with baked mozza on top (which was a couple bucks more), the wife had baked cheese ravioli. The food tasted fantastic, hot, flavourful. Portions were on target, I'm not a small guy and I didn't even finish, close but not quite. Only thing I would suggest is for the spaghetti and meat balls is go to a plate when serving. I felt like it was too crammed into the boat style serving dish. The ravioli was served in a boat dish and that seemed a perfect fit. Prices was great, $39 including tip. All in all I would definitely go back and eat there again, the pizza looked like it was hella good.

The buffalo style pizza is seriously awesome, never ordering from another place in Fort Erie again as long as they keep it on the menu!! Really filling and the pepperoni is so good compared to the regular pepperoni which is good aswell just not as spicy as the little cup ones on the buffalo style (which is right up my alley)

The service was fantastic. Brought my wife for dinner at the Barrel on a Friday night. There was no real waits between getting our different courses. We got our drinks, she took our order, returned promptly with our salads. A few minutes later brought out a loaf of bread(which we didn't realize we were getting) and our side of bruchetta. A few minutes after finishing the salads, our entrees were ready. All of this despite being fairly busy. Even after having our fill, they were quick to box up our food and get us the bill. The food and was fantastic, and we were pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive it was for a nice dinner out.

We love this restaurant. Wonderful, polite staff. Great food, lots of choices. My husband is addicted to the liver, replaced mine with no problem and mine is good! My only minor complaint is they’re a little too fast! We’d like to finish our salad before the main comes, so you can feel like they want you out quick. But I’m sure that’s not the case. 9 out of 10 for sure!

While my meal was good, the minestrone soup that was served was not vegetarian as it should be. It was in a beef broth, not a tomato base and it contained sausage. This was not addressed to the party, which happened to have vegetarians as part of the party. The chicken cesar wrap that was served to my colleague was soggy and hot throughout. It was almost like they put the wrap in the oven (salamander). When a complaint was raised, she was basically told that's how they do it there.

There aren't many options in Ft. Erie. The food was just ok, the server was polite, but just everything they did was wrong. Constantly walking and leading people to stand right over us while we were eating, as their table was prepared. Offering only one small loaf of garlic bread when 3 of 4 people had meals that said free bread was included. One loaf per table is not a reasonable policy. To be fair, the waitress made it right and for another for free when I complained upon hearing there would be a charge, but it should never be a charge in the first place. And the bread had some random splotch of tomato sauce on it, and when I pointed it out, they didn't even want to take it back!

I was Very Disappointed in my last few visits. I ordered 2 chicken rice soup and 2 ceaser chicken salad two visits ago.when I got it home the soup had no rice or chicken in either one. I called to complain the girl said just tell them the next time I ordered. The next time which was the last time I ordered 1 soup and 1chicken ceaser salad i told them about the soup with nothing in them. When I got home I had no chicken or rice in the soup again and no chicken on salad. When I called they said if I come back they would exchange it. I asked them to deliver it because I was in for the night but they won't deliver to Ridgeway which is 8 minutes drive even though it's their fault. When I said I'm in for the night they offered me $5 off my next visit. Told them to keep it I won't be back. Very poorly managed they aren't worried about customer service. I've spoke to other people who have had the same sort of issues. Too bad they don't care about offering customer service on there own mistakes. Food is good that's why the 2 stars

I wanted to say something about the food however we didn’t have an opportunity to place an order. We spent about half an hour at the table (we got a table from one of the staff) and no one seemed to be interested to take care of us. Even the manager on duty didn’t express and interest to speak with us. Sadly we left the place after 30 minutes without being stopped by anyone. Very bad experience…

Great food and great atmosphere. The Barrel has been around, I'd guess, for more then 40 years. There's a reason why they have been in business so long, second to none food quality and service. The staff are great. The food arrived exceptionally fast. The serving size is ridiculously good especially considering the price. 4 people ate with 1 alcohol beverage for $91.00. We're talking about a: -humongous Chicken Ceasar -an extremely large lasagna -enormous piece of chicken parmesan with pasta side -large bowl of spaghetti and meatballs That's an exceptional amount of food for an amazing price. You'll be impressed. You'll get great value. You'll have fun. You'll be very happy.

We loved The Barrel when we lived in Fort Erie. We have been living away from the area for a couple of years now and recently visited...I don't know if we just had a bad day (it happens). But our waitress dropped our bread, forget to bring the bread until we reminded her. Got my wife and daughters meals reversed....and it looks like my sphagetti works, meatballs and mushrooms had the mushrooms forgotten initially, because they looked thrown on afterwards. Maybe it was just a rough nite...but the experience wasn't as good as I remember.

UPDATE-Did speak with manager who apologized and offered a $10 gift certificate. The worst place I have ever experienced. I ordered spaghetti and I received watery sauce, and an old stale bun. To be fair I ordered a fool proof dish the next time I ordered , fish and chips, for an expensive restaurant I expected quality, I received old oven chips, and what I can only describe as hells fish. The fish was inedible, you can smell the stench through its packaging and was surely rotten. I have had many fish n chips dinners and I didn’t like all of them but none of them made me afraid to eat it due to the smell of rotting flesh. To make matters worse the coleslaw was carelessly packaged and tasted like rotten milk and blue cheese. For a place that makes spinach and artichoke dip out of Alfredo sauce I’m not wholly surprised. I give a one star because I Can’t give less. Edit: I don’t have faith in your establishments ability to offer me good food for many reasons. I am taking this as a $50 loss, and will not be dining at your restaurant. You have many people who enjoy your food somehow so I’m sure my money is not needed. Which is great for you. If you want my advice I would say hire better chefs.

Ordered 3 dinners tonight panzerato,fish and chips and South platter and the first 2 were good but the platter was NOT ,the veal was dried out and tough and the lasagna was dried out and stuck and burnt to the pan very disappointed on that should have returned it but was to far to waste time to go back .UPDATE was contacted right away by the barrel about the meal and they apologized about it and were very nice and credited us on that order ,appreciate the fast responce.

This is one of the best restaurants in Fort Erie. The staff is great and so are the food and prices! A lot of people love the pizza and wings. I myself love the wings but the pizza isn't my favorite. I do love the pasta. I like dining in as well with family and friends. The service is always great. I miss the baked ziti that they used to offer, but I have been trying other items on the menu which are very good as well.

I've only eaten here once, and I don't usually like to do reviews unless I've been a couple times but my experience was kind of all over the place so I figured I'd post it. I went with my girlfriend and another couple. The couple each got the panzarotti and I got a steak sub while my girlfriend got a pizza. As far as the food goes, according to the couple the panzarotti's were nothing amazing but good. The steak sub which I had, I did not really enjoy that much. I only ended up eating half of it in the end. I think it was the sauce they used, just wasn't very appetizing. I was told they are known for their pizzas and I stole a slice from my girlfriend and actually found it quite good. She was pretty neutral about it. The service was a bit slower than I would have expected since it wasn't really that busy. (Their ceasars are not great just an FYI for any ceasar lovers out there, I always order one if I go somewhere new) This was the experience that I'm not quite sure how I feel about. We boxed most of the pizza we ordered for leftovers, and it was placed on a barrel near our table. As we left, we actually forgot it there (outta sight outta mind). I'm not blaming the waitress for this or anything, just how it is, we should have remembered it. We made it back to my friends place, about a 15 minute drive, before realizing we forgot it. At this point, it was almost a full pizza we left behind (we only had a couple slices), so we figured we should check to see if we could recover it. We called, asked them about it. They said they found it and brought it to the counter for safekeeping in case anyone claimed it. Great, we said, we're going to come pick it up shortly. It was later in the evening and my girlfriend had to work soon, but we timed it so we'd have just enough time to swing by, grab it and get back on time. Well, when we arrived at The Barrel to pick it up, we were told it was actually thrown out. It took 5-10 minutes for them to somehow contact a manager to finally offer us to make a new pizza. We told them we were kind of pressed for time as my girlfriend had to go to work but were just offered blank stares instead of a credit for a later date or something. Anyway, we took the offer of a new pizza (another 10 minutes) and just sped back. It felt like that last piece could have been handled better by them, at least from our perspective. Between this and the slow service (drinks refill) / underwhelming food (although I will still say the pizza was pretty good), I just can't get myself to give a higher rating.

This was our first time... the man who greeted us and brought us to our table was very friendly and personable. The food...amazing! Delicious actually... every bite. My only negative is with the waitress, not very attentive or engaging. Empty dishes left on our table after bringing next course and walked away. Had to ask for another drink. At the end she appeared more friendly but not through the meal service. She could have had a lot on her mind... who knows. But overall this was a great experience and i would recommend and will recommend to everyone!

My dad and I found this on one of our many hockey trips and oh my gosh the food is AMAZING. Authentic Italian, great staff and an even more cleanly establishment. Tucked in a strip mall in fort Erie you won’t regret eating here. Try the half lasagna half fettuccine with chicken parmigiana!!

Service was pretty poor, we waited 15 till we even got asked for drinks then another 10 till we got asked about food. Bread is frozen then it's just slathered in oil and parmesan is sprinkled on top. The food was alright, but no where near is this place Italian. You dont have fresh bread, no fresh pasta, only have 4 choices of wine, no espressos, no antipasto, and a lot of the food on the menu wasnt even Italian. Other than that people were friendly.

I cannot say enough of this place. The service was above & beyond. We paid approx $70 for 3 adults & 1 child and we were stuffed. Can't forget the bruschetta. Large portion sizes and our server knew exactly how to keep my child entertained. Next time we're in Ft Erie, we're definitely going back here.

Very decent pizza and wings for CN. Wings were on the small size but not tiny. Good amount of white meat. Got hot and had a good tang, not burning. No batter which made the wings small but I prefer non battered even if smaller wing is the result. The wings were cooked crispy, very nicely done and good tasting. Excellent blue cheese dip, large container and good quality. Pizza was very good, thinner crust but not too thin.

Decided to try out The Barrel while we were visiting Fort Erie and were definitely impressed! The food was delicious! We had a pizza (I think called the works) which was loaded with topings and the pasta primavera had a ton of veggies in it. Would give 5 stars but the actual pasta noodles were stuck together and didn't seem super fresh. The meal otherwise was delicious though!

What a cool little restaurant! We has gone and ordered the pizza and wings. The pizza crush was far too thick for my liking, but the wings were absolutely excellent! The drink menu was so disappointing that I decided to just get a water. The other menu items sounded fantastic, and i will be back to try them! The service was average here. Nothing to sing praises about, but also nothing negative to say about it. We got our food fairly quickly. Overall, I recommend this place. I will be going back to check out the rest of the menu!

I wish I could give The Barrel MORE than just five stars. This is exactly how dining at a restaurant SHOULD be. Right off the bat, as far as first impressions go, I saw their sign with the marquee lighting as we were driving by and knew I HAD to go in. We literally pulled a U-turn and went back. As we entered, we were warmly greeted by the ladies behind the takeout corner, and immediately seated. I sat there for a moment taking in the charming décor -- the cozy, inviting ambiance; the PERFECT lighting; the great music. Our waitress, Angela, was effervescent and attentive. Our meal was absolutely fantastic. Ordered the mozzarella sticks and the NY Deli pizza. The flavour/freshness/quality of the ingredients, the portions, the price -- all of it exceeded my expectations. I want to try everything on their menu. I can't wait to go back!

Most Italian restaurants I have been to are expensive with small portions. I was not expecting so much food. I was full before my entree even arrived. The spinach dip and pita were great. Caesar salad was good. You get bread prior to your meal and the parmesan garlic butter they brushed on top of the bread was delicious. I got the chicken parmesan and my husband got the mushroom ravioli. Both were delicious. We had to pack up our meal less than half way through because there was so much food. Staff were friendly and attentive, restaurant was clean and prices were good.

I am not from the area but have eaten here several times as a part of business at several different times of the week. The wait staff are excellent, friendly, do try very hard to accommodate requests and strike a nice balance of service with giving of space. The restaurant is steadily busy from about mid-afternoon on, yet I have easily had friendly meetings here. I do have dietary concerns - celiac - and there is basically one meal I eat here, the staff know which one. The only negative is the rigid insistence on no substitutions. I find the portions sizes HUGE, and will suggest they leave an item off my plate, or serve me less but they won't. This always feels like waste to me! I have asked, as an example, can you leave the potatoes off my meal and give me a side of mushrooms instead? After fully explaining that I will pay for the mushrooms as extra, just keep the potatoes, I will get told no. So I end up with potatoes and mushrooms. I have tested this several times... At the end of the day it doesn't matter too much, but I do find it odd.

My favourite pizza ever. Funny story with this as well. I grew up north of Toronto and Barrel Pizza was originally in my hometown. When I was about 20 they restaurant was gone. We were all so sad. Some 30 yrs later I happen to be at Fort Erie taking part in the 1812 reenactment and we decided to go for pizza with friends. SURPRISE and JOY when we drove up I said Hey funny this sign looks just like a pizza place we had where I grew up. Inside I told the gal behind the counter the same thing.. she said it is the same place the family had moved down to Fort Erie. Now we live near by and come to Barrel when we are heading to Buffalo or taking the long route back from the falls. BEST PIZZA EVER!!!!

I've had mixed experiences with The Barrel. When they make the food right it's usually 8 or 9 out of 10 but they have been known to mix up orders, forget toppings on pizza or not input the deals they offer on the takeout into your bill. Service has been better as of April 2021 but in the past the waitresses who answered the phone or who you payed the bill too have been rude and not inviting. Overall a decent spot for a meal.

My family has owned a business in Fort Erie for 20 years, however this was (unfortunately) the first time I had visited the Barrel. I had family come in and we wanted to take them somewhere that had a wide menu selection and was a local business just like us. We'd heard so many great things that we thought we would try it. The food was AMAZING! And the service was SUPER kind. The atmosphere was really neat as we watched a couple of Charlie Chaplin films while we ate. As someone who works within the hospitality arena, I would completely recommend this place to my customers and friends! :)

Short review: best pizza in town. Straight up. Now, their boxes say, 'best pizza you've ever had, guaranteed', and sorry, but that title goes to a place on Long Island, NY. The people are nice, the wings are also reasonably good, which I appreciate, since that seems to be a scarcity in this town (the fact that it's walking distance to Buffalo, New York notwithstanding). My only real complaint is that when I ask for 'extra sauce' on my pizza, I literally never get it. I still gave it 5 stars though, because 'extra sauce' seems to be some foreign language that literally no pizza joint on planet Earth understands, and literally nobody ever gets it right. Ever. Anyway... if you want pizza in Fort Erie, this is where you should be getting it.

Had the chicken souvlaki dinner. Seems as though the plate has gotten smaller along with the potatoes and salad. If I recall correctly you used to get this dinner served on an oval plate now it is on a round plate. The chicken was at least the same amount.Taste wise was good but missing something.

Found the pizza to be "doughy" (ie under cooked) it wasn't raw by any means , but the dough wasn't crispy on the edges or fluffy. I've subsequently informed to tell them "don't be afraid to cook it". Personally I'd bee happier going somewhere that can figure that out for themselves.

We stopped into "The Barrel" out of pure frustration of trying to find a place to please everyone. Italian was it! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food at The Barrel. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs as I was craving a good plate of spaghetti. However I wish I hadn't after the pizza came out that both my son and wife ordered. I'm not sure if they are using a wood fired oven but the dough, sauce and cook on that pizza was perfect! Now on to the pasta. It was a fresh made pasta which was fine and the sauce was good, but the pasta was quickly taken from the water and placed on the dish which made the sauce watery and didn't stick very will to the pasta. Being an Italian eatery I wish they would have cooked the pasta with the sauce for a few minutes before plating the dish so that the fresh made pasta could have infused some of that flavour of the sauce. That would have also prevented they watery base to my dish that was not so appealing. Our other guest had the oven baked lasagna which looked really good. If I ever go back I will definitely stick to the pizza!

My family loves eating at this restaurant. The food always meets our expectations. The 3 younger ones in my family always have what they call, the best (real) pizza ( and wings) in Fort Erie. My husband and I normally have other individual dishes which we love all options that are on the menu. The last time a week ago I had the Chicken Pesto and I can say it was top class meal, unforgettable, craving for it now as I write this. My family collectively considers this to be the best place to eat in Fort Erie. We also find the staff to be very friendly.

This will most likely be deleted. There's a reason their Facebook page doesn't allow for feedback and reviews. I order the same thing every time. We order once a week from the barrel. I asked for a substitution of spaghetti and meatballs instead of lasagna. Not one person has said this cannot be done, or said it will be an extra charge. I called last night, the girl on the phone was SO polite and apologetic that I got the lasagna instead of what I ordered. Said she will send one out right away! The owner or manager called and said they can't do that. They don't offer it and won't send it. I asked why I wasn't informed this when I ordered it. He said VERY rudely that I must have been mistaken, and am I sure I got the lasagna?! Questioning me as if I'm lying... I know losing my business won't effect them one bit and that's fine. But be warned, don't call and complain unless you want your future orders to be completely messed up and awful in the future. They make note of the addresses of who complains... -- no I do not want to email you to discuss my concerns. The owner and management are incredibly rude. You do not run your business properly. You're only benefit is that you're pretty much the only place in town, and pizza pizza is worse. We will never give the barrel another chance unless you change owners and get proper management that doesn't yell and demean customers and staff. I feel bad for your staff, you're lucky you haven't been contacted by the labour board YET *See the owner doesn't actually read what you say - I said I won't email and he gave me the email anyway. Copy and pasted response. **** You know the pizza is terrible, when your kid who eats pizza like a ninja turtle doesn't want the leftovers ????*

Had really high expectations with this being "the best pizza you've ever had", but unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. The service was great and is the only reason I would try them again, but the quality is what's turning me off. Attached is a picture of the party size pizza we just order. The wings have been the same here since I was just a little kid. They have a sweetness to them you don't get anywhere else and overall are a decent wing. I tried the meatballs for the first time, and I recommend saving them for the next day cold. We also split a pie which was a little thick for my liking but this place has some of the best blue cheese.

I was in Fort Erie on the hottest day of September after a 125 km bicycle ride and was staying at the Howard Johnson. Needless to say we were all starving. I ordered the veal parmesan to be delivered because I needed the pasta fix and the meat protein. The veal parm was ok with a generous portion of veal, unfortunately, there was hardly any spaghetti with very little sauce. What's up with that? Pasta is cheap. Order also arrived without any utensils. Why would you not include utensils on an order to a hotel automatically? Luckily I got a hold of the delivery driver in his BMW before he left the lot and had him go back to the restaurant and get us utensils.

Abbot and Costello theme was interesting. Food was delicious. Portions sizes generous. Menu is in the pricey side for what you get. The Garden Salad with House Italian dressing was delicious. $3 up charge for a Caesar salad was not worth it. Service was slow. They apologized and were trying but it did make the meal less enjoyable. I would give them another chance.

Having been a favourite of mine and my family's for well over 15 years - celebrating every special event and milestone in our family (birthdays, mother's and father's day, graduations) I would love to have been able to give a great review but unfortunately, I cannot. Due to the owner's rudeness to myself and my wife on no less than three occasions - we have found it necessary to seek out other options. Tonight was my wife's birthday and we would have normally come to the Barrel and enjoyed our celebration but instead we went to Johnny Rocco's and were treated like royalty! We even received $15.00 off our dinner as it was my wife's birthday. Our dinner came to $48.00 - money that could have been yours. Too bad you just didn't value our loyalty and custom. Perhaps you should go to Johnny Roccos and learn how to treat your loyal customers - it definitely wouldn't hurt!

We came to Fort Erie for the weekend (my wife, son and I). We were at the hotel deciding what to have for dinner as we were tired and didn't want to go out. Well, thanks to Google reviews, we decided to order from The Barrel. What a great decision it was. Since we called in to make the order, the female person on the phone was very pleasant to talk to, very polite and professional. Their delivery was very fast and their food was out of this world. If the food was so good for delivery, I can imagine how awesome it would be to dine-in at The Barrel. We will definitely order again and we will go to their restaurant as soon as we have an opportunity. Fully recommended ???????????????????????????????? Update Aug 22nd 2021 Due to the great experience with the food last night, we decided to come to The Barrel restaurant. The restaurant itself was very clean and well maintained. Around 20 years ago I came here with my family when we visited my grandmother. At the time it was the best pizza I ever had in my life and I always thought back to how good it was. Now I'm nearly 40 with more life experience and I see that my memory was biased since back then I was typically eating Little Ceasars and Hungry Howies. This is still a fabulous pizza that blows those chains out of the water but I think my latest visit may have killed some of those childhood memories. I've been to other countries and regions since then, and had thousands of other meals. I was bound to find some things I liked better, so this is in no way a criticism of the quality or taste of this food. I'd still totally recommend this place for anyone looking for a good meal.

the service is 10 stars. the twenty five dollar buffalo pizza was a bit sad, i was excited to try it but i could have gotten two pizzas at bellas for same price besides the different pepperoni. also id hate to see what regular cheese and regular pepperoni would be if this is double cheese and double pepperoni. The pizza looks good as a regular cheese and pep but not for twenty five bucks. The only reason i will try again probably not pizza is because of the service i received.

When our server spoke poorly about the menu options we asked her about, that should have been our first sign. I think her name was Ida, older woman with short brown hair. She said the Fish comes frozen so it's not that great, and the panzerotti is a big pile of dough with sauce poured on top. Four of us ordered a sub at her recommendation, and it wasn't anything special. My steak sub was pretty flavourless and mostly bread. The reason I am giving 2 stars is one of us ordered the liver and onions which was really good, and the other enjoyed her pizza. The reason why I am writing this review is at the end of our meal we wanted to have coffee and catch up, as the 6 of us rarely go out for a meal together. Before we could order coffee, our server came over with all of our bills without asking if we would like anything else. We didn't bother telling her we weren't finished, and she clearly didn't care. That was really disappointing. There were only 2 other tables besides ours in the whole restaurant, why rush us out the door at 12:30pm? Will not be returning. *Edit: I am very impressed with the level of kindness and professionalism that Konstantine has shown me in our emails following this review. Its very clear that he genuinely cares about his customers experiences. Next time I'm in Fort Erie, I'll give The Barrel a second chance.

Great food great menu love this place a bit expensive for my taste

We went here for Valentine's Day so they were pretty busy, but even in spite of that our waitress was good humored and more than competent. I wish I'd gotten her name. The food was absolutely delicious and the employees were very friendly, if rushed, but that's reasonable given the holiday. I was very impressed on all counts with the service, the atmosphere, and overall quality of this restaurant. Highly recommend!

The wait staff were efficient and friendly but spent most of their time chatting with each other (within our hearing). The food was good and appropriately priced.

I go here every time in the the Niagara region, I actually live in Mississauga The wings are absolutely amazing. The breads are beautiful. Pizza? Phenomenal. Service? Pretty good. I always get 50 wings and the garlic bread. That's probably my go to Then I get 50 more wings for the road
