Good Luck for New beginning and keep serving us
A wonderful addition to the Fort Erie area! Thoughtfully prepared, well seasoned abundant offerings and fresh, fresh, fresh! This gem of a restaurant will become a true hot spot location once the workforce returns. I am already planning my next takeout order. Thank you for making dinner!
Excellent Indian food, super authentic and absolutely delicious! Lots of options that aren’t very spicy if you don’t like spice. A bit away from town, but definitely worth going to. A great spot for dinner or lunch. Tell your friends & try it out yourself.
Excellent Food, Love it
Very kind people and delicious food
Best Indian food I’ve ever had! Large portions and great prices!
Dinner
Amazing food! Their butter chicken is hands down the best in Niagara region! Do not hesitate to order, you will not be disappointed .
1st time trying this place felt relaxed and welcoming. Have to say I had the chicken tikka masala although did not care for the chicken quality in the dish at all the flavours were excellent. I will try again.
Ate here for the first time tonight and both myself and my dining companion and I agreed that the food was worth coming back for. Had the palak paneer, chicken tikka masala and okra. All well flavored with enough spice to make it interesting, but not simply overpowering with heat. Great to see an option for food from the Indian sub-continent in Fort Erie. Looking forward to trying what they have billed on their menu as "Ethnic Breakfast".
Delivery
So excited to have Indian food in Fort Erie. Excellent food at fair price. Going to try to make it a weekly treat!
We were there yesterday with around 20 people for our meeting. The service was great, the people are cooperative and welcoming, top of this the food was literally tasty and delicious. This place is perfect for fine dine, especially for larger number of people if you have business lunch or dinner or want to through a party I will recommend this Tabaq Restaurant Two thumbs up!
Delicious food..chicken tika Masada was to "die" for..the rice and naan?..Oh my goodness. .everything tasted so fresh..the different spices and flavours were so subtle. ..it was unbelievable. ..I really hope local peeps support this much needed restaurant in Fort Erie. .x
Very nice family restaurant and Excellent authentic Indian food
Very yummy 10/10 would go again!
More than 8months since Tabaq opened. They have upgraded they services since and provide a variety of delicious meals.
Very tasty and fresh food every time I visit there, service is great. Love this place.
This is a nice stop after crossing the border at Buffalo / Fort Erie, ON. It's just off the highway, good to get some gas, use the rest room. The menu is a little different than normal but that shouldn't sway you. It is tasty, well prepared and served with a smile. I'm guessing based on faith that he doesn't serve pork bacon, as such you are invited to try the beef bacon. It was pretty good and not what I was expecting. We enjoyed breakfast while there. The coffee was hot, fresh and tasty. The prices are very reasonable (and less than a Perkins or a Denny's). The meal was sizable for the price and the experience was all good. We will be back at our next border crossing!
I ordered the chef's special while my mum ordered the half chicken and as you can see here, you get ALOT more then you think you would get. On top of that the mutton great and the samosas are out of this world! I'd rate this place 10/10 I would definitely come back here again
Good food for a great price
Service
Service
I love the food, very delicious!
Very delicious food. Nice and clean environment and extremely courteous staff.
Ist thing is their timing, they only serve for 4-5 hrs. On weekdays. Even u reach there on time they will simply deny to serve you. I reach there 7.05 pm and restaurant was closing at 8 o’ clock that stupid cook didn’t even talked to me they waived from inside.
This restaurant is now Closed permanently. I visited 3 times but closed all the time.
Friendly staff, the vegetable biryani was great, I'll stop again some other time to try something else.
Price vs quantity was good, but that's the only good I can say from my experience unfortunately. I was given a menu card, picked what I wanted. Cod was first pick. Apparently they had to catch the thing first cause I was told it would be 45min to get it ready. Second choice, NY strip. Unfortunately they had run out. Fair enough, but then let me know when you hand me the card. Also I sat forever before even getting asked about what I would like to drink. I feel like these things are restaurant 101 mistakes. In the end, what's the point of me choosing if in the end I don't get to choose after all. I ended up with what the server suggested, like I had choice. I will say the food I was served tasted quite well, but it still doesn’t make up for the experience. Maybe next time...
Very disappointed! we came all the way from Niagra falls hotels to try their food which was 20 minutes from our location and their restaurant was closed but they never mentioned that or updated on their website! They still show open hours between 7 am to 10 pm. They waste our time on travel and may be wasted other people times too :(
good quality food specially biryani ????
The food here is AMAZING!! I cannot stress this enough. It’s a hidden gem in the Niagara region. Any of the paneer dishes are wonderful and my meat eating family love the chicken biryani. It’s all authentic and delicious.
This is arguably the best Indian food I've ever had. It's rare that good, fresh hot food is available to me as a long haul trucker, so it's really nice to break up the monotony of Denny's, subway, and the other places that Flying J tends to put in. The food here is always hot, flavourful, fresh, and the staff are incredibly friendly, the owner patiently explained to me what the things on the menu were that I didn't know. I will be coming back to this place as often as I can!
I would never ever go back there again Service is bad they don’t give you everything they tell you they would. And omg the price is ridiculous for the food honestly it’s not enough worth it bad bad bad bad
Someone with this may be fake ID (Amina Nazir) (10 reviews) 2 days ago posted a review on our restaurant page with fake information we are in-touch with google and going to take legal action against this person in Provence of Ontario and USA, we saved all our videos for last one moth in last 10 days not an Indian or Pakistani family or a single female customer interned our premises before that all are our regular customers we recognized them. we are also in touch with Bell Canada for all telephone records for legal prove about that fake review in the court of justice after the identification of this may be fake ID holder we will sue Him/Her in this respect too.
Excellent food
This was my first time and it was fantastic. An absolutely must try.
Great change of pace. Kind of hit and miss when he's open, but I always check when I am in the area.
honestly nice that we have indian cuisine in fort erie, unfortunately these guys are a hit or miss, first time i ordered from here i did not get what i ordered, not realizing till i got home.. mind you it was still delicous, ordered some food today what i originally what i had ordered the first time and was disapointed, was about 20 mins past the time told for pick up, and went home and my butter chicken was like a flavorless soup, was no thickness to it at all and my friends tika masala was the same very watery. over all when its good its good and when its bad its bad. hope to give them one last shot in the future as this is the only indian cuisine in the area.
Very delicious food and great team to serve! Huge facility to cater all kind of events, business meetings and lunches. We had a business event there today and everyone enjoyed delicious and fresh food including Naans, mutton karahi, BBQ, Biryani, zarda and tea!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful service!
Food was fresh, well cooked with spacious dinning area. I recommend it for all.
Had lunch & dinner here twice during my visit to fort Erie. Food was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. Attentive staff that clearly like what they do. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a great dinner and lunch experience in fort Erie.
Ordered the mutton biryani for 12.99 + tax got a small box of rice with maybe 5 tiny pieces of beef (not even all beef lots of fat on it) and a tiny amount of salad ... the rice was very oily. Stomach was upset couple hours after. Unhappy with the quality/price.
We love this place for authentic Indian & Pakistani spread in Niagara. My favourite is Chicken Tikka & Biryani. Also, my kid loved the kid's meal and juice. The ambience and hospitality of the host were great.
Interesting, to open here. Time shall see.
I have ordered food from them on a few occasions. Their food is delicious, and surprisingly filling.
Great food great price and large quantity
This place is a rip off. They chatged $15 dollars for a plate of Biryani. Which normally comes from $7 to $10. And the portion are very small to say the least. Please avoid this place its not an authentic experience and food is garbage.
We ordered from here last night and we will DEFINITELY be back! Everything was amazing! I had never had naan homemade before and I dont think I'll have it any other way again. Owner was patient and polite while we struggled to figure out what to order as it was our first time. When we explained we were feeding children he offered to make chicken that wouldnt be too spicy for them. The portions were great and left us with lunch and dinner for today. All in all was a great experience and we will be back very soon!
Place is horrible. Cook does everything. We sat there for 30 min with no coffee or drinks. Food was not good and either was the waitress. Feel bad for the cook here. He does everything. I'm not tipping at all cause it was all bad. The cook needs to get out if there. There has to be a better place to work in the area. Beef bacon was more like beef jerky and no butter on toast. Eggs and bacon only. No home fries and samosa was cold inside.
Always great food for a great price!! Lovely owners. Very clean and tidy, authentic homemade food! Support all your local business throughout this pandemic, these people are wonderful and deserve your business. If you try, leave a review(:
Had an Aloo Paratha with a cup of tea. Was yummy and more than enough for one individual. The pricing was perfect too!
Do yourself a favour and order the Biryani Rice. Price is great and the food is delicious. Favourites are chicken tikka masala, chicken jalfraze, mutton karahi, and mutton korma.
Excellent!! Looking forward to their upcoming menu additions.
Very good food ????.. naans were good???? not too much extra spices ????????
Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. Looking forward to going again soon!
the place is awful and disgusting! I went there 1 time for breakfast and not only did it take 30 minutes to take my order (I was the only customer) but in addition they don't know how to make breakfast! It's easy to make eggs, bacon and toast!
To get this place going it needs real management; and also needs to care for their customers, customer service is the foundation of any business, I can tell that this place will not get on its feet, I will NEVER go back..
This place is the real thing! Delicious mutton Korma, I am still drooling over the thought of it. Small portion but perfect size for lunch. Perfect amount of spice for me, they said they could add or take away spicy-ness as you prefer. I am not in Fort Erie often but if I'm ever nearby I'd definitely stop again! Thanks for having us!
Ive had lots of indian and pakistani food in my life over 25 yeras now . I ordered the Mutton and chicken karahi because i was after thick gravy. To be honest it was no where near thick and brown like im used to. More like orange and watered down with way too much oil floating on the top. When you pour the sauce over the rice it should have colour and substance this had not much of either. 40 dollars is a lot and i expected more. Just being honest.
Great taste very nice customer service Try Alo paratha They have all halal and Pakistani taste
Delicious, authentic home-cooked Indian food. Curries. Naan bread. Biryani. Samosas. The husband and wife team who run the place are super friendly and deliver great taste and great value. DELICIOUS. order ahead. Everything is made to order. Time takes time. Sooo good.
Very impressed! We had dinner here the weekend of their grand opening. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable. The chef, Wadi, was able to accommodate our gluten-free diet. The food was delicious! We had butter chicken, chana, kabobs and biyrani. It is so nice to have authentic Indian food in Fort Erie, finally! We will definitely be back.
Amazing restaurant, delicious food I liked the biryani chicken was ????
Best food in Fort Erie...Definitely a hidden gem! Food tastes authentic and delicious!! We will be back for sure. The service was excellent & staff was friendly, what more can you ask for. A+
Best and delicious food in the area. Highly recommended. Great people.
A wonderful Indian food meal for a reasonable price from a gracious host.
Worst Food and Wirst Service. The Guy on the Counter Call him Owner doesn't even know the Service Word.
Worst food I’ve ever had, right after having the food I had food poisoning, the food seemed like refrigerated food served microwaved, DO NO EAT FROM HERE! I’ve been sick for the past 2 days and have been vomiting it is horrible food, this is not authentic India and Pakistani food, when we complained to the manager to advice them they said “this food is mainly for fulfill white people” which is highly disrespectful and shallow, save yourself money and time and DO NOT EAT FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SICK THE NEXT DAY!
I'm a driver who stopped to see about a take out order. Waited for about 10 minutes for a host/hostess and saw no one. Walked around and couldn't find any staff.
Nice people nice place for take out indian food
Maybe I misunderstood the menu. When I saw sausage, eggs and toast I expected the North American experience. Instead I got a large spicy weiner, grease laden eggs and the toast was soaked with grease and fried on the grill. It looked more like french toast. My wife's toasted western was so greasy the bread wasn't toast anymore, eggs were drenched and home fries looked like grease soaked macaroons that were raw in the center. Maybe they should get rid of the Western food names and name it something that resembles the culture from where this style of cooking comes from so our expectations aren't such a misconception. The next customer walked out after seeing what my wife left on her plate! I did give 2 starts however. The waitress was prompt and polite and the restaurant was spotless. Cleaner than any business that has operated there to date. If I do return it will be for an Indian dish, not sausage, eggs and toast.
Take out
Chicken and rice, worth the try. Recommend and will be back to try more .. Bread with kebabs. Ask for the less spicy
This is a very great place for Indian food, right on the border in Canada. Def try their Specials! Very nice people too!
Meal type
Excellent food. I'd reccomend it to anyone who would like to try Indian food, as the owner is very helpful in describing the food and helping you to make a good choice for your tastes.
Owner is really friendly and the food (butter chicken) was spot on. Can't wait to come back and try some other dishes.
My wife and I have never had the opportunity to try Indian Cuisine and we were not disappointed! On recommendation we had the butter chicken with Naan bread and chicken kabobs. I can't wait to come back to try something new!
It is waste of money if u order indian food....very small quantities expensive ....ot doesnt taste how it supposed to taste....3 of my frds tried all diff times and diff dishes just to give them try .....no good food . .. .they need to improve this prime loc for good food.
I am so glad I discovered this Gem. All the food is made to order ,so have some patience . The prices are very good. Try the biryani it's my go to Support this business and you will be a return customer for sure ????
Food was amazing. The portion size is ridiculously large you won't leave hungry. The owners are very involved and are very accommodating in for picky eaters.
Great option right before crossing. Great food fair prices.
Excellent food. We had the Biryani and the Spanish Beef which was the daily special. Both were very flavorful, well presented and delicious. Host is very kind and the restaurant was extremely clean. Menu is small and specialized, which is expected with its recent opening. Sure to grow in future. With food this delicious we will be back for sure.
The food is amazing and there is barely any waiting time for the food.
Wow what a great spot to eat. The wonderful staff was amazing and the food was superb. The portions were awesome and the flavour was on point. I will definitely be stopping here again.
Good quality and quantity, lots of variety of meals
Why never open?
Dinner
The Indian food here is excellent, we had a chicken tikka masala and chicken jalfrezi and both were really good as were the naans. The prices are very reasonable indeed and the portion sizes were fine. We will definitely be back and would recommend the food.
Love the food, flavours, portions and a friendly owner. Been several times and had takeout for dinner and it was awesome. Husband had Chicken Karahi and loved it. I had Matar Paneer along with rice, naan and a Sweet Lassi.???????? Very, very good. A must.
Majority of dishes are just reheated, still food test good. Google hours open /close are not good.
Delicious food, that tasted fresh and home-made. Nice change from highway fare. Homemade Naan and good sized portions. Clean and hospitable.
Irresponsible owner. Waited for so long but the restaurant didnt open on time. Even the gas station people beside them said they are not serious
Love the butter chicken!
