Ming Teh is a special treat. There's plenty of Chinese food available in Fort Erie, but Ming Teh is where I go when I looking for something special. There's nothing wrong with AYCE or inexpensive take out, but this is a step above that. You pay a little extra to get something special, which is to be expected.

Well... the Ming Teh... just typing the name makes me feel as if I should be throwing my hands down in prayer. This little jewel in an otherwise desolate landscape of mediocre eateries is truly da hawt spawt in the city. Favorites include the steamed dumplings; (oh the humanity! oh, the dough!!!), sweet and sour soup (the conflicting flavors creating a wonderland for your senses); moo shu make-it-yourself-pancakes (not your mama's crepes- an adventure every time); white wine shrimp (a delicacy that truly is the eight wonder of the world); and chewy dried fried beef strips (the name says it all- both chewy, dried, fried, and stripped!). But possibly, the most delicious part of this culinary institution is the dear little family who owns the establishment. Always willing to give a bang for your buck, if I don't say so myself! In all seriousness, this is the only good part of canadia (or is it canada? It's so insignificant that I often forget). Please, give the Ming Teh a visit. It's worth the insufferably nice customs guards. Love, Anon

The service is terrific and they cater to both Western and eastern expectations which is not easy. You will not be disappointed here.

Excellent experience at Ming Teh for dinner. Very nice setting beside the river. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. The food itself was also delicious. It was clear that most was made in house, and everything tasted fresh and was high quality. In particular the spring rolls and sweet and sour pork were some of the best I've had. I would definitely recommend.

The food there is very delicious. I really like the shrimp and broccoli. I go there almost once a week. staff, the view to the lake is not the best. There is no dock or sitting are near the water. This back parking could have been used for that. Besides it's a very good restaurant, right on the Niagara Blvd. PS: They are closed on Mondays.

Great experience for lunch. Had family come in from the States, so this restaurant was chosen because it was close to the bridge as well as the positive reviews (which are definitely warranted.) Portion sizes are definitely to share if not ordered from the lunch menu. I had the Moo Shu Vegetables with Paper-thin Pancakes and Vegetarian Hot and Sour Soup; both were very good. My spouse got the Beef with Tangerine Peel & Garlic and reported that it was fantastic. It wasn't busy around lunch time on a Wednesday, but the staff were extremely gracious in letting us sit around long after paying the bill--she even came to refill our water glasses! The view of the river is very nice and the overall ambience of the restaurant is cozy and enjoyable. It feels welcoming to be in there. There is parking on the street and a lot around the back of the building.

The staff here are really nice, the interior is mellow, the lack of soft music in the back ground made the environment kind of awkward. The food was O K at best. The rice was cold and dry and hard to eat, rice is the star of my meals so I like it soft and fluffy and comforting and this was not it. The kungpao chicken tasted like dirt and expired canned bamboo. We paid $100, and three out everything when we got home. The car smell was heinous from the takeaway. I also don’t like when the staff take the food from you to package it, I like doing it myself. The chopsticks also seemed old and dirty and were warped making eating difficult.

Our first visit but most definitely not the last. Ming Teh is not just a restaurant, it is tranqutility and hospitality at its best. The view of the Niagara river, so close that it felt we were at the water's edge and along with the food and service, both excellent and above the norm made for a wonderful dining experience. Disappointing again. Not worth the bridge crossing anymore. This place used to be exceptional...its just average now. This also bugged me- I ordered three main entrees, they charged extra for white rice. I've never seen a Chinese restaurant do that before. Service was adequate but indifferent. Probably won't come back anytime soon.

Everything was amazing. We ordered take out for 6 people and what we ordered was a perfect amount. Had trouble trying to figure out what to order so they helped us a lot by taking the time to explain the popular items, what flavors are in them, etc based on what we wanted. Such good customer service. Veg spring rolls, Jasmine Spare Ribs, Lemon Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, Spicy Crunchy Ginger Chicken, Yang Chow rice, stir fried noodles. I do feel as though the portion sizes are much bigger when you dine in. But regardless the food is amazing. My favorite Chinese place in the Niagara region.

Fantastic experience! We came here for dinner on a Sunday night, an hour or so before closing. The place looked very clean from the get go. The owner explain to us several menu items until we found something we liked. The food was delicious and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. We also appciated the attention to detail, including the traditionally decorated, individual porcelain tea cups. Highly recommended!

I asked for de orange peel & garlic steak but it didn't seem to have any garlic what so ever & it was full of ghost peppers. I just came to Canada my first time for lunch & I was going to go to Happy Jacks but customs on de border patrol suggested that this was a better place. I was not impressed. I have been eating here for over 35 years. Was almost weekly until 9/11 when crossing the border took forever. We always get a bunch of "to go" after dinner. We have brought many people with us for their first taste of Ming Teh (Ming Teh virgins) and they always say we have ruined them for any other Chinese food. Including my 84 year old sister-in-law. I have never had a bad meal. The staff is wonderful. Ours friends of course now go on their own, but when we get together for a couples night out, this is where we go. Then we bring back food for ourselves and our kids. When the border reopens, this is where you will find us and our friends.

This is truly a family favourite! We highly recommend it to anyone who wants a more authentic Chinese experience. You won't get better Chinese in the Niagara or Buffalo area. It is so good I've shipped frozen Ming Teh dishes to my children in England and South Korea!!! Be sure to try the "chewy beef" - it is very unusual and will bring you back for more! It was one of the reasons my niece stopped being a vegetarian! Enjoy!!!

First time visiting this restaurant and it was good. My family and I ordered the spicy crunchy sesame ginger chicken, spring rolls, stir fried noodles with vegetables, white rice, and the moo shu chicken with paper thin pancakes and hoisin sauce. Everything was fresh and taste good. The chicken pancakes are made right in front of you. My favorite was the sesame ginger chicken. Only complaint is that my stomach has been upset for 2 days after eating here. The sauce they used throughout each dish wasn't my favorite either.

I am sure that the food is good, however we do not know. We arrived at 6:00 and because we did not have a reservation, we were treated as if we did not matter. We had waited to be seated and were told a few minutes and then shown to a table in the main dining room which is fine, but the restaurant was empty and were told that the water view windows were for those who call to reserve. Went by 30 minutes later and restaurant was still empty.

I ate at the Ming Teh and found it a wonderful experience. From the friendly staff, the nice view and the terrific food, it was very pleasant. Food was very tasty (if somewhat timid in its HOT description). Menu is varied and interesting. Portions are large so we had a doggie box to bring home. There was too much for a bag! I would recommend this restaurant without any reservations.

LOVE their moo shoo pork pancakes with hoisin sauce and noodles with veggies (mushrooms, carrots, snowpeas, broccoli, onions..). I haven't tried many dishes since I'm hooked on a few. Fresh and delicious (not all deep fried or salty). More expensive than the other Fort Erie Asian restaurants, but this one is my fave! Ming Teh's food just seems healthier and more flavourful, so it's worth it. MmmMmmm ????

This was our 2nd time at Ming Teh. The service was exceptionally slow. The steamed dumplings were not soft and pillowy at all...kind of hard.... and the accompanying sauce, super salty. Some of the dishes were luke warm but flavor was okay. I will probably return to give them another chance but overall, was quite disappointed with last night's experience

The crown jewel of classic Chinese restaurants in the Buffalo/Fort Erie area. The food is always prepared with care and skill, with recipes that were obviously developed by someone with great talent and love for cooking. Everything is a cut above with some truly unique dishes on the menu. Try the "Fragrant Clouds", a dish made with pork wonton, cucumber, and tomato. It's unlike anything I've seen anywhere else and is absolutely delicious. Other favorites of mine include the Spicy Crunchy Sesame Ginger Chicken, the fried dumplings, and Stir-fried Hot & Sour Beef with Peanuts. Just a 5 minute drive from the border at the Peace Bridge, this is a must visit restaurant.

Went here with my girlfriend and the lady that was working front counter was very rude and pressured us to order our food. Made us feel very uncomfortable. The rice tasted not fresh at all. Probably never coming back again. Nobody has still responded to me review.
