We go here a lot after church. Never a long wait. Food is always fantastic. Large portions so come hungry. Prices are very reasonable. The decor is kind of outdated but it’s been around forever! Servers are usually nice. Some older ones can be a little not so pleasant at times. The lady at cash is always super nice. We always have to bring the left overs home. Next day the food is just as good. Chicken parmigiana is my favourite and you get lots of choices of sides.

Visited from out of town. Very friendly people and small town cozy feel. Reasonable prices and lots of food in each meal! My wife and daughter split the chicken parmesan and I had the small portion fish and chips and couldn't eat it all. My son had the fried shrimp, and I tried one. It was one of the best I'd had: tender and moist, with a crisp breading. Everything was great including the service, and we had a very pleasant meal. Highly recommend to anyone local or travelling through the area!

Had to change my review. 5 stars down to 2. Prices have gone up and not just a little. Also the website didn't reflect this. Which is very unprofessional. So I show up to pick up 2 orders or chicken fingers and it's way more. I ask why the website is not updated and I am told the owners son does it and isn't reliable. We have since found better fish, cheaper and bigger portions at Beach Bites and the same for chicken fingers at the breakfast beacon. The building is in need of a severe update. I think it's just time to close up shop. Won't be going again.

Horrible service. Been there twice and will never go again. Both times I craved desert and both times the server brought the bill with asking if we wanted desert. Don’t these servers know the higher the bill, the more of a tip they get.

This website does not indicate that this restaurant has seasonal hours! Stars could possibly be added, once we get to eat there. We drove from out of town to eat there, only to find a hand written sign posted that read, "CLOSED FOR THE SEASON". Looking forward to a website change indicating what months the place is open AND closed. I will not waste another trip until I am sure they will be open.

Went with some ladies from work for lunch before Christmas. Good food and LARGE portions. But so very crammed and very very busy. It's hard to hear it gets so loud. Also for a 'FAMILY' restaurant there is no change table in the washroom... or anywhere for that matter. I found a shelve I had to change my son on... I saw another lady using the bench because theres no where... they should change that.

Step back in time as you enter the restaurant. I don't know which time, but it is stuck in some weird time warp. Still the food is good and service is fine. Portions are generous and they are quick to offer a take home container. Perfect for the fussy eater since they offer many sides, you can even get spaghetti with your fish.

Very nice meal. I had the 3 cheese ravioli and enjoyed that with the sauce...it had a nice taste. The fish and chips meal was a good size and came with 2 sides. The liver and onions were a hit at the table and lastly the meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy were enjoyed. Our server was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The environment is really cozy with old school art and knick knacks spread around.

Popular family restaurant.. Good food at fair prices. Place needs a serious cleaning though..window at our table was thick with dust, looked like a years buildup. From the busy activity we saw, obviously they can afford to clean better than they do. Too bad . Makes me not want to return. Love the fish and chips but prefer to take home. Afterthought.. if dining area is dirty, what must kitchen area that no public sees, be like ????

Pre ordered for mothers day 2 hrs ahead of time. Got there and waited another hour then decided to leave. Other people were upset they were 45 mins behind. Common, I gave you 3 hrs for 5 fish and chip meals? They were not even that apologetic. Won't be back. Ordered from the scuttle but and it was ready by the time I got there.

We recently moved to Fort Erie and found this amazing restaurant. The building is nothing special but what is is the service and the food. All staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu offers something for everyone and the portions are huge so plan on taking some home. If you want a great place to eat, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great fish fry and prompt and friendly service. Mom had the fish and chips and it was crispy thin crust of perfect fish with the best French fries anywhere. Coleslaw was creamy and crunchy fresh. I had the Atlantic scallops and chips and was delivered 8 of the smallest scallops I've ever had. They were crisply coated but due to their miniscule size, were chewy and over cooked. Slaw and nice side dish of beets completed the meal. Brimstone golden ale served cold was a great Touch.

I had the battered fish and chips dinner and i thought it was fantastic, it was well worth the drive. 2 nice big pieces of fish, very tasty fish, crispy light batter - not dripping with oil, and your choice of 2 sides for under $20, I forget the actual price but they were large pieces of fish, most people were taking some home....I ate it all : ) . I will be going back to try the other house specialties, roast beef and of course the fish again.

Green Acres is a nice family style restaurant that is very popular with our American neighbors. So much so,that we have to fight them for a table by making a reservation to secure a spot at this restaurant. Green Acres will transport you back in time to memories of dining out with family in the early to mid 1960's. If,you are too young to have never lived through those times...then you are in for a real treat. The staff is friendly and attentive.The atmosphere...well...nothing matches. But,you don't care.Because Green Acres just gives you a very homey feel the moment that you step inside their doors. The food.The shaved beef on a Kaiser bun is enough for three meals. The baby back ribs are suculant.And,fall off the bone. The battered fish is my personal favourite. Very good and huge in portion size. Ice cream is served in fluted glass of days gone by. Very small menu more sandwiches and fish , a few other items. Small outdated place . Too expensive for what you get. We were waiting at the table after we ate as we needed take out too and the waitress asked us to leave the table and go wait up front . Which I thought was rude as my parents are in there 80s and can't stand for long. Won't be back.

We were first timers, I have been meaning to write this, bit of a drive but when we got there, boy the food was excellent, and the wait staff fantastic. As my husband and I were waiting on our food , we entertained ourselves by looking at all the nostalgic nicknacks,and comparing how many our parents owned in our youth. The food was a wonderful home cooked meal that pleased even my very picky husband, he had the fish and chips. Can't wait to come back again,and again and again!!!!

Green Acres has been one favorite of my mother and father. When visiting Fort Erie we always take my mom there so she can have ribs. At 90 yrs. Old, she gets to go wherever she wants and this is usually her choice. Good menu and service is great.

My experience was not good. We dined in and the dining room was very dirty. There was cob webs dust and hair lying on the window sills and the carpet was dirty with food. Along with that our utensils were dirty and had to be replaced. I can imagine what the knic knaks displayed in dining room must have on them. Further more if the dining area was like this i can only imagine what the kitchen must look like. This restaurant needs to do a cleaning from ceiling to floor. Not a good experience!

First time there and it was amazing. I went with my girlfriend and my buddy and his family. Food was great and the stuff was amazing. The amount of great food you get for the price is unbelievable. The staff always makes sure your good and enjoying your meal. This restaurant is the best one I have ever gone to and I will go to again. I got take our last Saturday and it was delicious, I tried the rib & chicken combo, such a great deal for so much food! My daughter had the Steak Poutine and she said it was the best she ever had! My son tried the Beef on Kaiser and he loved it but could not finish it all as they are such large portions however I gave it a taste and can confirm this restaurant is no joke lol. Great food, large portions, fair prices and pleasant service.

Have always loved Green Acres but this weekend I was NOT impressed. Ordered Fish & Chips......... got no cole slaw and no tartar sauce. Was missing an order item and had to go back in restaurant to wait for it. I ordered a steak wrap and it was more like an onion wrap, very little meat, no flavour. My sis order chicken fingers and onion rings........very poor and small portion. GREEN ACRES WHAT HAPPENED? So Disappointed......... Guess Take 2 up the road gets my business now
