Vanessa's cooking classes at Aphrodite Cooks are amazing! We've attended a couple in-person events (pre-covid19), ordered meal-prep kits during the summer and enjoyed every bite. I have enlisted the help of Vanessa from Aphrodite Cooks to cater events, and have highly recommended to others who’ve had great experiences, too. Recently Aphrodite Cooks catered a small personal event, dropping off food at my home. Vanessa suggested a variety of delicious options, and the menu we proceeded with was so delicious and everyone enjoyed (and our gluten-free and vegan friends were not afterthoughts and had delicious dishes to enjoy, too!). We appreciated everything Vanessa did to make our gathering special. Everyone REALLY enjoyed the food - salad rolls, bao, a variety of satays, and pomelo salad - and repeatedly asked where it was from, noting everything was delicious! It’s really difficult to pick a favourite because everything was so good - 10/10! All of our dishes were packed & labelled so well, which made it super easy to plate and enjoy. The quantities and portions were also really well done; no one left hungry and nothing went to waste (there were a few left overs - just enough for me to have the next day at lunch which I was thrilled to revisit, haha!). Her prices are beyond fair, and worth every penny for the quality, creativity, presentation, and seamless planning & execution. Thrilled with everything, and can’t wait for another occasion to reach out for Aphrodite Cooks’ delicious expertise & support. I would highly recommend Aphrodite Cooks for classes, and catering of all kinds of events & occasions!!!

I had the pleasure of attending a dinner party Aphrodite Cooks was catering and the food was delicious!!! Coffee crusted beef tenderloin, maple and grainy mustard salmon, Gruyere potato gratin were a few highlights of this wonderful meal. Vanessa Yeung, owner of Aphrodite Cooks, is an amazing chef! She is both fun and creative in the kitchen, and has excellent people skills with clients. Her studio is a lovely environment for a cooking class. She is also a caterer extraordinaire for a variety of events, parties and occasions. I would like to thank Vanessa from Aphrodite Cooks for the fantastic service she provided at a recent open house I was in charge of. Never having been involved in the planning of such an event, some things slipped through the cracks and booking a caterer was one of them. This was a wonderful bachelorette party option. Amazing food and service. I wouldn't recommend going during the summer, however, as there is no air conditioning and it was quite hot throughout our meal.

I recently had a Lunch & Learn session for my staff, and asked Vanessa to provide the catering services for a group of 13. The food was exceptional - all of my staff enjoyed the meal, and not only did the food taste great, the dessert was scrumptious (Vanessa, I really need that recipe!). It is rare in this day of impromptu cooking classes by non-chefs. Vanessa's teaching method is of the highest calibre, equal to her pot stickers. Her classes came recommended by my friends. One of the best cooking classes out there!

Last night my Wife and I took part in Aphrodite Cooks virtual Knife Skills class. We were lucky enough to have the owner of Aphrodite Cooks, Vanessa Yeung instruct the class. Even better was Aphrodite Cooks dropped off all the food ingredients needed for the class the day before. It was a great refresher of Knife Skills from grip and hand positioning, and cutting techniques like julienne & chiffonade, it was a fantastic and well instructed class. Better yet we made some delicious food along the way. A refreshing mango salad was well accompanied with chicken thighs stuffed with artichoke and sun dried tomatoes. My Wife and I can't wait for more interactive classes offered by this fine group.

My wife and I took the beginner makimono sushi class together on our anniversary and had a stellar time. Sang is an excellent teacher who prefaced the class with facts and history, and he's a compelling storyteller. I'm all thumbs but even I constructed some beautiful rolls. The class was exceptional value for the money. It's rare that I walk away from an activity feeling like I got more than my money's worth, but Sang Kim's class undoubtedly gave me that feeling.

Finesse the owner is an excellent teacher and was able to get everyone involved no matter what age or ability of cooking they came to the class with. The class had a great variety and new twists on old recipes. Definitely a worthwhile experience!

I participated in a virtual cooking class hosted by Vanessa and it was so much fun! All the ingredients were provided ahead of time which was very helpful. I joined the Thai themed night which was an enjoyable introduction to some new meal ideas. Vanessa was an awesome host – she provided lots of clear instructions and she had plenty of patient. I’ve already signed up for another cooking class with her for Valentines Day! Until we can enjoy classes like this in person, Aphrodite Cooks has done a great job at providing safe and delicious alternatives to help get through the winter. I would recommend the virtual cooking class as a great way to learn new recipes or for a unique date night!

I surprised my wife with a valentines special cooking class with Aphrodite Cooks and it was the best cooking experience we have had. Also, it was virtual due to covid but felt as if we were in the class! Vanessa, the Chef, is very professional and talented! Because it was virtual we paid a little extra to have the ingredients delievered to the house and the ingredients were already measured and split up and washed and fresh! She also through in a proseco bottle and bath bomb as a valentines gift! We made lobster ravioli and it was absolutely delicious! I was just recently at Aphrodite Cooks for a group cooking class. Chef Vanessa is amazing! Our group was divided into teams to prepare different courses of the meal which we then shared at the end. She was very kind and helped show us how to prepare ravioli, short ribs among other scrumptious menu items. We were able to learn some helpful cooking/preparation techniques too. And we left with the recipes! It was a refreshing, unique experience which my husband and I appreciated so much. It gets tiresome always doing dinner and a movie on a date night. This puts a fun spin on a night out and the meal could not have been better. Thanks Chef Vanessa Yeung!

I came here with my father for her Father's day Buy your dad a beer + cooking class. The beer and food pairings were not only educational/enriching but gave the ol' wine and food pairing a new and improved twist. My dad has not stopped singing praises about his experience here. I really had fun with my dad and Vanessa taught us some new things, which we will be happy to use in future classes. If you want to take your foodie experience to the next level with a friend, partner, parent etc. Give Vanessa a chance. I will most definitely be returning with my partner in the fall for couples cooking.

I attended a gluten free baking class recently and it was wonderful. The space is a gorgeous kitchen and the class was really helpful, interesting and I went home with some tasty gluten free treats. Kimberly and Vanessa were both extremely helpful and full of advice. Gluten free snacks and drinks before the class were a great touch. I'd highly recommend their classes and love the space.
