Best oysters in the city. It’s true. Perfectly shucked right before your very eyes, locally sourced, delicious house made mignonettes. This guy is kicking goals all things seafood. Went to his pop up last week to find fresh spot prawns on the menu and a Seafood bucket on order! Took one of those things camping, what a great call that turned out to be. Throw a beer in there and in 20minutes we had a seaside, fire crackling feast.

My partner and ordered (and very much enjoyed) the new Seafood Boil Bucket. The instructions were perfect. We appreciated the advice about saving some of the pieces (corn, potatoes, sausage) for a hash the next day. We use a Whistle Buoy pale ale as a base and added 2 1/2 cups instead of the 2 cups on the instructions. It is such a cool idea and executed so well. Also, delicious. :)

The seafood boil bucket is amazing! We made it with water but I will definitely try beer next time! A must try - they truly loaded it with the freshest seafood & added the yummiest sauces. The chimi sauce is killer! Also, a huge thank you to Jess for the awesome customer service :) Thank you so much. I will be back soon!!

Best oysters you will EVER have. Jess shucks them right there while you enjoy a beer on the whistle buoy patio. And if you want something truly special check out the Dungeness crab boil bucket to take home with you(order ahead of time). We split this with 3 friend and it was phenomenal. I had no idea shellfish could be this good (or easy for that matter) at home....I suppose it makes sense though, nothing bad ever came from the directions - just add beer! Can’t say enough good things. Thanks Jess, you rock!

It is challenging to plan for birthdays during COVID lock down but I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon the wandering mollusk. I ordered the dungeon was crab bucket and it was a big hit! Really elevated the experience of a birthday dinner during lockdown. I am a amateur around the kitchen but this is a no brainer! Pop it on the stove and 20mins later ... dinner is ready to serve. Everyone enjoyed the dinner and it truly is more than enough for 4people and some left overs. Happy happy customer ! customer service was great. They were very helpful and explained it in person when I picked up the bucket ( even though thorough instructions were included on the bucket ) Thank you wandering mollusk!

When I am anywhere downtown Victoria and looking for some quality food, I will go out of my way to make sure to find a Wandering Mollusk pop up. I have been blown away time and time again at the level of quality and freshness I receive every time I eat there. Jess, the owner of Wandering Mollusk, took the time to help educate me in the true way to eat fresh, locally picked oysters and how to properly pair them with homemade sauces and garnishes to fit my taste preference. I find this is a true staple of downtown Victoria's local food scene and encourage everyone to go experience it!
