You have all the reviews of people like you who buy the services of La Meza Grill (Catering) in Delta (Canada).
To this day the firm gets a score of 4 stars out of 5 and the score is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is good, and it's based on a very large number of scores, so we can conclude that the valuation is very accurate. If people have bothered to leave their score when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write scores when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Catering is classified in the category of Filipino restaurant.
Arrived at 3pm, waited 30 minutes, still didn't get into the restaurant. It wasn't crazy busy, saw people leaving but still didn't get seated. Another customer who was also waiting to get in, told me that I had to write my name on the sign in sheet and list how many people were in my party (2 people). Going to have to do better than this to get any upvotes. Part of reviewing restaurants relates to the food, the other part is the service. I didn't even get to try the food as the service was non existant.
Soooooo goooood....... Update: This time ordered party trays for office lunch, great food, everyone loves it.
So good!! The mixed pancit, garlic rice and BBQ chicken skewers are our favorite. Excellent prices!!
This place is really good food and not over priced. There was something for everyone and my children, who are picky eaters... loved the spaghetti, and garlic rice. We will be back.
An oasis for anything pinoy in that part of surrey or lower mainland for that matter
Fair price, fair portions and friendly service. Couldn't ask for a better experience with genuine Filipino cuisine. ???? I'll also note that I've ordered take-out on multiple occasions and was always pleased by the food and happy with the punctuality in which it was prepared.
Good Filipino cuisine and the only decent one in Delta. Attached to a very well-stocked Filipino/Asian store 88 Seasons Mart. Friendly service although can get busy during lunch and dinner hours especially on Sunday. Food is very good and well-seasoned. Pickup service is ok. No reservations needed.
Great food. Fair prices. Always satisfied every time we visit.
Went here for lunch. The food was served pretty quick. Not sure if you would make it back to work in 30 min. This was my first time to eat a philapino restaurant and I quite enjoyed it. I will go back.
missed philippine food glad to know that this store is near us so we can dine in anytime we want!! food is great! the ambiance and service is the best! kudos ????????
Ordered from doordash, got old pork bbq skewers and burnt liempo. They claim to have tried to call doordash when my wife specified shes allergic to shrimp but I believe they didn't want to go to the trouble and delivered their bicol express with shrimp paste in their recipe anyway. Poor food quality.
Everything was DELICIOUS, but my family and I were disappointed on the calamari. I remember it use to be big and crunchy. Now it just looks sad????.
I’ve been a long time customer of La Meza Grill and have always enjoyed their food and customer service however we ordered take out from them about a month ago and ordered our usual items. When we got home to have dinner we were so disappointed the Nilaga tasted like water... and the Bicol had no flavour and was drenched in oil! I called and explained what happened and even asked if they changed owners /chef or something cause that’s not how their food normally tastes...anyway Kristine was great and apologized and said she talked to management and that we will get a discount next time we ordered. So today we ordered again and I guess Kristine was not there so we had to explain again what happened to the lady working and what was promised...anyway we got a 5% DISCOUNT... ARE YOU SERIOUS.. we spend at least $100 each time we come... and we get $5 OFF... I’m not expecting a huge discount but really...shows how much you value your long time customers.... absolutely disappointed!
Friendly courteous people. Food is terrific!
One of the better Filipino restaurants I've tried. I especially love the Dinakdakan and Pork BBQ (they used bacon-cut pork which was easier to eat than chunks), will definitely go back again.
Ordered for 6pm last christmas eve. I got ther at 6pm and the people told me that i have to wait in line. Ok inunderstand it’s xmas eve. I got inside after 1 hour only to find out that people who are paying inside gets their food right away. Horrible experience indeed! Also. The guy that’s managing the queue was super rude. Making side comments about customers and telling them to shut up.
Tried the Chicken BBQ Lechon Tacos at the Richmond Night Market. They looked nice but the chicken was super dry and over salted and the whole dish kinda lacked a cohesiveness. Edible, but wasn't too enjoyable and kinda pricy for what you get.
Looking for a brunch place and found this gem. Food is great, good size serving and it taste really good. Definitely coming back to this place and will highly recommend this to friends.
Service was great. Quality of food was okay we ordered a large quantity of food. Some dishes were good others not as good. Some dishes were bland.
Always great service and quality of food is good.
So disappointed and appalled with the service I received and the food itself! After hearing praises about this place I decided to take my kid for some food and dessert. It took 55 mins from when we arrived, to when we finally received our food. The couple sitting next to us, which ordered at the same time as us had not only received all their food items before us, but was almost done their meal by the time we received ours. The pork and veggie dish we ordered had only one small shred of pork throughout the entire dish. When I told the waitress, she didn't show any desire to rectify the situation and dismissed me. I will not be returning to La Meza Grill.
The food was great! I wanted to treat my parents to dinner and they enjoyed the place. But what we noticed was that there was a lack of customer service out on the floor. I wasn't informed on whom our server was gonna be, and the server, with the thin round eyeglasses, seemed like she didn't want to deal with anyone since her face looked irritated as if she didn't want to deal with anyone. We asked her for some water, but she never came back. Whether your food is great or not, it's always important to have somewhat of a great customer service.
Best tocino in BC!
I always dine and grab take outs from this resto yet three things i would like to comment for improvement. 1. Fresh Lumpia, the oversize than what is normal is completely not presentable that it would make you feel not to eat it. the wrapper is too thick and hard and i felt like i was eating pizza, shouldn't it be like crepe? im sure any cuisineir wouldn't like it too. 2. Chopsuey, too many bell peppers and vegetables were overcooked. 3. customer service, because the fresh lumpia was too big so i requested it be cut into three slices but the server refused to do so because accordingly, they are not allowed? what a policy for a customer friendliness.
Great place. Authentic Filipino food. Great workers. Its busy at certain points of the day, so prepare ahead and not wait when your extremely hungry.
One of my go-to place for Filipino dish take out
Good place to come for chicken bbq kebabs, they are $3.50 and they don't hold back the amount of chicken they can fit in the stick. Sticks are standard size. Slightly longer if you eat in.
Food is great. My favorite filipino restaurant at all time.❤️
Me and my family ordered a few party trays from La Meza that included Pork BBQ, Pancit Bihon, and lumpiang shanghai. Now, I am a Filipino who's had Filipino food all his life but was unaware of the level La Meza serves at! The barbecue skewers were meaty and juicy. Definitely great value for the amount of meat they pack in their skewers. Shanghai was crispy all throughout, I know at some places the shanghai gets somewhat soggy afterwards due to the moisture but this maintained it's crispiness and deliciousness well over our pick up time. Nihon was very flavorful and satisfying. Will definitely order from again to try out their other items. Would rate higher if I could!
Delicious food!
simply the best pinoy restaurant. Customer service is exceptional, they replaced our ordered barbeque because they are under cooked with no question asked. Servers are great and they top up our water before they ran out. I highly recommended this place.
Came here as I was craving a typical Filipino breakfast and they did not disappoint. Both the fiancé and I got the longsilog and tapsilog. Big serving of the garlic rice (which I was thrilled about) plus everything else tasted as I hoped they would. The place wasn’t too busy when we got there (Friday brunch), so it was a relaxing atmosphere. Our server was also friendly and accommodating. Another plus side is that there is a Filipino store attached to the restaurant, so I found all my childhood snacks there. I will for sure be coming back as I will be living in the neighbourhood soon enough. We were overall impressed that the service, the interior, and everything else was great and not ‘run-down’ because it seemed like they cared about catering to everyone and not just the Filipino community.
Authentic Filipino food, kare kare amd tokwa't baboy recommended ???????? feel home taste pinoy food in BC
Take out only.
This place is the bomb! So good! Went with my family last Saturday and really enjoyed it. The house BBQ pork everyone has to try. We want to go back and try their breakfast options and get some halo halo when the weather warms up. Great food, great service, can't rate them high enough.
Great food. We were there as group and preferred a little bit of everything. None of us had tried this type of cuisine before and it didn't disappoint. So yummy, I can still taste the flavors
Place to go if you missed Filipino food. Descent restaurant. Always busy. Tried the bicol express, lumpiang sarawa, kare-kare and sisig. Sisig didn’t met my expectations.
Amazing staff, always super friendly. Great food! I always get the tofu sisig.
We had a blast! Satisfied cravings for Filipino cuisine and a Filipino store beside it, all in 1 place! D best
This place is awful. We ordered food ahead of time for pick up and they told us the food should be ready by 3pm. As i paid they told me to wait "a few minutes" which i thought would be quick. I ended up waiting for an hour standing in front of the counter. Worst thing is customers kept coming in and they all had their orders ready (why wasnt mine?), even people eating in was being served right away as I waited. Ridiculous because I ordered so little too. Not a good experience at all..
Grocery on the half space....restaurant on the other half. Our favourite Filipino restaurant. Limited table around 10-12 tables only .
Google need to edit.. no dine available
This place I ordered and then cancelled!
Good food at decent prices. Restaurant is small but normally only busy during weekends for dinner. Lots of times though they don't have in stock a lot of listed drinks or desserts.
The place was like half grocery and the other half a restaurant. I ordered the "TapSilog" out of the many dishes on their menu. I would say the dish was not the usual Tapsilog that I was used to. Then got me some of the frozen Sweet Longganisa from Pampanga which was awesomely delicious. I also tried the frozen dried herring or tuyo, but quite dismayed that the one I got wasn't the salty one. A good place to buy some Filipino or some Asian groceries and would probably try some other dishes they have in their menu.
“They Forgot” was all a server could say when the chicken barbecue arrives 30 minutes after the fried rice arrived. Might I add after multiple times asking a server if the barbecue was on its way only to find no response unless you flag them down again. Food is good but service and experience is the ultimate downfall of my visit.
Loved their BBQ Chicken, Sinigang and other food!! I highly recommend this to anyone who loves or wants to try Filipino food! They don’t take reservation so best to visit on weekdays or morning time. One of the best authentic Filipino restaurants in Lower Mainland! ????????
Our go-to spot for Filipino food in Metro Vancouver! Clean space, fair pricing for the (good-sized) portions, and their lechon + tofu sisig is bomb lol
Great food. Only down side is the place is small so wait times are longer. So we just order in advance for pick up.
Great food and service. My new favourite Filipino restaurant!
Good food we keep coming back! And the price are awesome. Good service and clean restaurants.
Have only gone to this resto only twice. First was about a year or so ago and our experience was not very good. The food and the service was not very good. Back then we thought to ourselves we will never go back here ever again. This second time around, we were with like four or five families, and majority decided to try out this resto coz they haven't gone here yet, so we thought why not give it another try. Though in fairness the food was satisfactory this time around and perhaps even the meal that we ordered was different from the first time. Service was also okay. But they have this weird rule that they only will split the bill up to two times max. So imagine our five families having the hassle to calculate amongst ourselves how much our meal was and have to pay each other just because this resto will not allow to split the bills more than twice. And that was extremely annoying! They are the first and only resto that I've seen do this! If ever the owner gets to read this feedback please change your rule about bill splitting as that's just absurd. We understand that your reason was because you want to speed up the payment processing for your customers but if it is at the expense of good customer service then you should think twice.
One-stop shop for Asian/Filipino food.
Bad experience. Waitress did not know how to do simple math, She added the prices wrong and was charging us higher, we had to add it ourselves to get the correct amount. Food was bad. For example, their version of beef steak is putting gravy on boiled beef. No professionalism. We ordered for our party, the party size was overpriced, and when it is time to get it, they still haven't cooked it, they said would be ready in another hour or two. what????? Not recommended.
Foods are excellent and friendly waitresses
The food is really good when you want Filipino cuisine anytime during the week. However, be prepared to come out of the place smelling like food due to poor ventilation.
Very professional. Food always yummy
Way better than the competitors in the neighbourhood! I don't usually go out for Filipino food (cause it's usually over priced and my mom is such an amazing Filipino cook) but I was raving about LA Meza Grill to my parents, telling them that we need to go! Service is fast and the servings are surprisingly generous! I was beyond shocked at how big the bbq chicken skewer was! The only downfall was not having enough menus so my fiance and I had to wait for a menu! Other than that, food is amazing...!
Have been going here for years! Food can be oily at times but majority of my orders have been scrumptuous. Price and serving are both decent. Would be nice if staff were friendlier over the phone. It is connected to a Filipino store so its a bonus I can grab my Filipino goodies on the way out. Ample parking.
This is a great authentic Filipino restaurant with delicious food and great service. My favourite is the BBQ chicken/pork but there are so many tasty dishes. I love the store attached and is very convenient
Has a Filipino convenience store next door
Cozy little place. Very good food, the fresh lumpia was the biggest I've ever had and was delicious. The service was good and it's reasonably priced. This is definitely the best Filipino restaurant I've been to in either Delta or Richmond. I'll bring my family back here again.
very fast service and has lots of filipino food to choose from. price is very affordable.???? highly recommended if you're craving for hometown dishes and you're at Surrey
We used to enjoy coming here, but all of a sudden the old servers were gone and the new ones seemed as if they don't want to deal with anyone. The previous servers were so accommodating, they knew how to entertain us while waiting, and made sure they were communicating with us and as well as the other staffs to ensure we're seated ASAP. The servers now seemed like they do not care, they don't even know how to communicate in a nice way. Very disappointing. They should bring back the old servers. I remember this one girl with short hair, she accommodated us while we were still waiting offered us water and also the menus, ensured that she is making sure the next open table would be for us and she was very calm, and friendly. There was also this other girl with glasses, kept us entertained and made sure we were having a good time while eating. Disappointing! Good food but very poor service.
Really good food. My first time here so we ordered a bunch of things. Ordered chicken adobo beef with onions, spring rolls(delicious)bbq chicken and pork skewers(omg soo good),Pancit noodles(yummy)and chop soy veggies were really good to. Will be coming back here again for sure.
Ordered inihaw na liempo but got this instead. No grilling at all. Very disappointed. The meat was just exactly turned pink and was out of the grill.
Authentic and delicious filipino food. My lola lover every dish we got. I recommend the dinuguan and their lechon sarsa is much better than mang thomas!
Food can be very good or average depending on what you ordered. My problem is 2 of their staffs don't have mask in time of covid-19. Maybe not mandatory in BC but in this pandemic time, I like people preparing my food to wear mask.
The food is delicious buy sadly its only take out at the moment. A filipino food store is connected to it which is very convenient.
Small restaurant with a Filipino market attached (Season's Market). Went for an early dinner on a week night but weekends can be very busy with only 8 tables. One area can accommodate a large party such as tonight 11 people were seated. Very good food, inexpensive prices and decent sized portions are why it is popular. Service is casual and when busy, can be spotty. Situated in a strip mall with lots of free parking. Recommend over other Filipino restaurants in the area.
Food here is good. Items of menu priced cheaper compared to most Filipino restaurants in Surrey/Delta. Great customer service and atmosphere. Kare kare could use a bit more peanut sauce as it was a little lacking in taste. Overall great quality food would recommended to anyone looking to try authentic Filipino food in delta area.
Great delicious foods, service, ambiance and fair price. The service crews are well mannered & polite ????. Cheers!
Great food.
Great Filipino Cuisine in the area. Servers are polite including the owner of the restaurant.
I ordered thru uber eats. It’s not properly packed. Please improve!
We ordered 4 of Tapsilog through delivery. And we all had a very hard time chewing it. The beef was so tough and dry. I know most tapa are tough, but this was on another level. Maybe I won't order this through delivery again. I didn't give 1 star cause the garlic rice was good.
If you're wanting to try and/or craving Filipino food, this is a great spot. They've got a lot of authentic filipino cuisine in their selection and I've not had a bad experience yet. My favs have been the silogs and sizzling plates and when we went last week we had the long silog, beef silog, kare kare, chicken inasal, bangus sisig and some kwek kwek. The silog is a filipino breakfast plate with long silog being a sausage, egg and fried rice and beef silog being corned beef, egg and fried rice. Can't go wrong with these. Always delicious and makes me think of the food back home Chicken inasal is a grilled chicken dish with a nice lemon base. The chicken was really tender and had a ton of flavor. Awesome dish and taste very authentic. Kare kare is always great as well. This is a oxtail stew in a peanut based broth with some veggies. Broth was rich and the beef was so very tender. Kare kare with rich is up there with being one of the besh dishes. Not a lot of places have kwek-kwek (deep-fried battered quail eggs) and that was a treat. Only thing missing here was the sauce. I think they may have just forgot. Quail eggs were perfectly cooked and the batter was nice and crispy even after we got home. I just wish they open up for dine in already!
Good portions. Fairly priced for a Filipino restaurant. There's always a wait time. Friendly service but not accurate. They often forget stuff considering its a small place
Their BBQ skewers are really tasty, would recommend trying one if you aren’t sure what to order
La Meza Grill is my favourite and go-to Filipino restaurant in the area. I especially enjoy their BBQ pork skewer. It is flavourful and very meaty. My husband enjoys their sisig. They currently aren't offering dine in at the moment but you can call in and order for pick up or you can also find them on food delivery apps.
I have been there at least five times already and I've never had anything negative to say. However, I had to put a review about this experience because we found a metal scrap in our pork sisig and didn't get a satisfactory response. The waitress simply apologized with an attitude and left without informing the kitchen or the manager. This is not just for customers that visit here but also to others who eat out frequently. Be careful of what you eat.
Horrible customer service. Ordered a single dish takeout at this place on Xmas eve. Called the store and both parties agreed to have the food ready to be picked up at 5 PM. Got there and waited an additional 45 minutes outside, along with about 40 people. Others have been waiting since 4 PM! No apologies. Not a single “hey sorry about the long wait”. Other people that received their food were missing parts of their order. Really unprofessional I understand that it’s Xmas Eve and it’s busier time. But if you can’t meet the demand, then stop accepting orders. Greedy establishment. You can’t treat your customers this way. This was the last time we’re ordering from this place. I’m sure it will be the last for many others. And the worst part was the food was terrible. Super greasy spring rolls. Yeah, no thanks.
Had Easter Sunday dinner with the family and brought in Asian guests who haven't tried Filipino food yet. We ordered lumpiang sariwa, pork sisig, crispy pata, kare kare, laing and of course, garlic rice. The kare kare and crispy pasta were very tasty. Our guests liked the sisig. The big let down was the laing. Our guests said it tasted like herbal tea from China! I couldn't agree more. It was far from the laing we always serve at home. The leaves seemed like it was just chopped and there was barely coconut milk. We were just pressed for time to have it redone. Portion sizes are okay. The servers are courteous.
Very poor service and the waiting time was extremely long. The BBQ was burnt and our soup came last. We had to wait for about an hour for the soup when it’s usually one of the first ones that need to be served. My mom had to ask for a spoon for her dessert because they didn’t give her one and she had to wait for 20 minutes. She even asked two other servers since our server never got back to us until later.
I still believe this place doesn't get the credit it deserves. Food here is reasonably priced and portioned well. It's also one of the best tasting filipino food in the city. Their crispy chicken and garlic fried rice is a must try! Keep up the good work!
Great food! Pleasant waiters. Could do more work on ambience though
Food is superb! Staff are really nice. The place is just too small for the crowd that goes there. Conveniently located inside a Filipino store where one can do some shopping of filipino food. ????
The food was fantastic - I never felt like I was waiting for the waiter. Food came out in record time and the staff were friendly and informative.
Good and fairly priced food. Open but no dine in for now.
So I'm unsure how to rate this place. I went to the store that's attached and i feel as if they charged me over double for a particular item because I am not Filipino and dont understand the language. Before when I had ordered things from la Meza.. and my friend ordered the same dish..our take aways were very different. I'm not sure what's going on here but i feel like it's because I dont understand the language ... so I'm very suspicious at this point of going back here.
