Wonderful food! Didn’t have a reservation so the great staff seated us at the bar, got us started right away. A full restaurant and they were still able to serve our food quickly in next to no time, and it was simply amazing. Great fresh quality food, excellent preparation! The unique breads to start was a pleasant plus!

There are new items on the menu. I tried the beef striploin steak topped with a coffee & maple butter and a touch of au jus. This dish is absolutely phenomenal! Every bite dances on your taste buds. I would have it every day for the rest of my life if I could. Our server Rhonda was so great. Very knowledgeable and attentive. She definitely added to the experience!

Been meaning to come here for a long time and finally did. All I can say is wow. Exceptional dishes at a reasonable price for what you get. I highly recommend the Arctic char followed by the chocolate mousse for dessert. Will be regulars now.

we were there saturday sept 21 for parents 50th, most of the food and service was good. But we had the texas longhorn steaks boasting how the taste would be better, unfortunatly we had sirloin and tenderloin that were tough and chewie. Expected much better for the price

Since there is no 1/2 star I will recognize that Allegra is a location that serves food and give them 1 star. We had a reservation for Nov 29, 2019 and arrived on time. Unfortunately the restaurant was not aware of the reservation. That was just the beginning as we entered we observed a large group of 30+ folks already at what had been set up as a group table. This group filled most of the area available. This also left 2 tables for other guests adjacent to the large group and both tables were totally unsuitable for a quiet dinner for our family. Contrary to their website this location is not suited for groups unless they reserve what is basically a small location. Even without a noisy group party this restaurant has zero ambiance and we woul not venture there again. There are many fine restaurants in Cranbrook but this is not one ot them.

Always great food and service but...I made a Valentines reservation by phone.Upon arrival there was no record.When the frustrated waitress approached the owner he basically implied he didn’t believe me and shrugged his shoulders!We left humiliated and embarrassed.

Absolutely amazing food, made with such fresh seasonal produce. I often eat out with a vegetarian and they love the vegetarian options here. I had the Smoked duck breast with blueberry fig relish appetizer which was done perfectly, for my main I had Baked black tiger prawns with bittersweet chocolate In a Sherry, garlic and ginger sauce served with Dauphine potatoes and vegetables. It was an absolutely amazing dish. The chocolate and prawns paired very well. It had a tiny bit of heat which was very nice on the pallet. For dessert I had the cheese cake which was so light and fluffy with fresh raspberries. The cocktails are delicious as well.

Very cute decor. Unfortunately there was a small hair in our butter and the bread was stale. The smoked duck appetizer was sub-par as it was a bit tough. We ordered a tuna steak and lamb dishes. The tuna was cooked and flavoured well. It was on a bed of rice that was far too big and lacking flavour. It was also topped with fried tortilla pieces that were oily and did nothing for the dish. The lamb was the best part of the meal. It had a delicious crust on it and was nice and tender. It also came with fried mashed potatoes bites that were seasoned perfectly and fluffy. The rest of the vegetables were over cooked and under flavoured. The sauce was a bit sweet and there was too much of it. The toblerone mousse at the end had a rich chocolate flavour and the whipped cream was nice, though I didn't get much of the toblerone coming through. The service was fine. Not overly welcoming, but they were attentive. All-in-all I would rate a 2.5 out of 5.

Very disappointed as of not being child friendly. We were on a holiday and looked up the restaurants in the area and this one popped up, so decided to go with it. When entered at just after 5 the restaurant was still empty and we were seated at our table with our little man, who was provide a high chair. When getting the menu I enquired about what they had for the little man and I was told by the waiter " we do not cater kids, we only cater them by providing them with a high chair ." If your not kid friendly, say it put a sticker on the door or a note on your website. But if you went trough the trouble of buying high chairs, how hard is it then to provide a kid with one scoop of spagetti and some saus.

This had fantastic food. I was unsure that it was rated so good just because it was compared to other restaurants in Cranbrook; but if you compared it to fine dining in Calgary it would line up with the best. Too bad it is small, but I guess it makes it feel more quaint and attention to detail is good. Another down side is that they leased a spot in an old strip mall, so the facilities is not too notch. I liked that you could look at the kitchen and thank the chef for the best meals ever! It is very Italian/Mediterranean, so don't eat here if you think mushrooms on a burger are too adventurous...

A chance dining experience for us as we passed through town, and we couldn't have picked a better place. From the moment we walked in, to the last spoonful of dessert, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The place was packed and even without a reservation, we were made welcome until a table was ready, the food was fantastic with spot on recommendations, and the staff friendly. On the food note: everything tasted as fresh and local as it is and the Alp Farmers Pasta is a MUST - just please, please, don't skip the addition of the chef made apple sauce! Incredible (and take a jar home!). We will be back!

My wife and I went here for our anniversary and found the space waayyy too small with no room for intimacy at all. I ordered the lamb which must have been a amputee victim calculating the number of pieces I got and when I saw it was far too rare, the chef gave a snotty turned up nose at it and then seared the thing so it was burnt on the outside and still raw in the middle. NOT IMPRESSED! We haven't been back since and won't be. No customer deserves to be disrespected like that.
