If you like smoked fish, be sure to go. If you don't like smoked fish, maybe you should change your mind. If you haven't tasted smoked fish, go and taste it. If you encounter Mr Nick, have a chat. very sociable. I would recommend. also read a review on Wikipedia who is Mr Solomon before you go.

I had the good fortuneto have some of their smoked salmon today, two different flavors and some of their homemade cream cheese with chive. That's probably about the best smoked salmon I've ever had, in conjunction with that fabulous cream cheese on a fresh Saint Viateur bagel! I don't recall ever having had a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon this good, in my life!

Support local businesses! Culture, community, and charity aren't common virtues for corporations. Just yesterday, I bought some fresh salmon steaks from Solomos because they are always fresh and literally cost the same as the salmon at Metro (which is usually NOT that fresh, sad to say). Before I left, I was given some of the most succulent and delicious smoked salmon I have ever had for free. A random act of generosity goes a long way especially this past year. So I hope this pays it forward. This is the first review I've ever written and it's because I want this lovely store to stay for a long time, as they deserve success and your hard-earned money.

Popped in to grab lunch on the way back from a meeting. The staff were super charming and friendly, excited to talk about their products and their craft. I got the Solomos bagel & lox- the bagel itself was great, perfectly toasted with the freshest smoked salmon, the best feta I've ever tasted, and thinly sliced cucumber to top it off. I'll definitely be back, and I hope these guys stick around for a long time!

They do one thing and they do it with style. The slamon is top quality and super fresh. Both the regular cold smoked and pastrami cold smoked are delicious. The sandwiches are satisfying and worth the price. And the style of the shop only adds to the experience. They definitely care about their product. Grocery store pre-packed smoked salmon is ruined forever.

Going to Solomos for the first time is learning the taste of smoked salmon prepared by someone who truly cares about the product they are serving. You cannot even begin to compare it with what you can get elsewhere, it's just that good and will simply melt in your mouth. If you have yet to try it, do your taste buds the favour. Staff are also extremely welcoming.

Delicious smoked salmon (next time I'll try the pastrami and BBQ kinds) and amazing, fresh spreads. The taramosalata was so good that I finished it off the next day for breakfast!! The place is very minimalist and clean. They even have some Greek oils and herbs for tea that are hard to find in Montreal if you don't live in a Greek neighbourhood. They also sell very fresh fish filets: salmon, trout, halibut, and haddock--call ahead to figure out what they'll have each day.

For those in Mtl... for some time I wanted to try a smoked salmon from a place close to my home called Solomos. I saw the place once and it look like a nice place. I look for it online and it is considered as one of the best smoked salmons in the city, if not the best. The place is just to take out, very simple but nice. A counter and that’s it. We (my wife and I) bought the Chef’s tartare (salmon, mango, strawberry, avocado & more) and some salmon pastrami. The tartare was outstanding but the pastrami is one of the best things I have ever tried in my life! Worth the trip!
