This place has chana samosa on the menu, which I have yet to see at my usual local Indian places - it's the absolute best! Their other stuff is great too - the thali is a great option for a variety of small portions. You can set your preference for mild, medium, or hot for most dishes. Their online ordering system right from the website is easy to navigate and easy to use. Highly recommend!

you literally can't be in a bad mood if you're eating this! we got delivery for the first time from here tonight and we will definitely be back. I don't normally write reviews, but we loved our meal so much I almost called the restaurant back personally to thank them. we are so lucky to have this place in the neighborhood. thank you!

We get Takeout at least twice a month! Delicious food. I suggest the chicken tikki masala with rice and eggplant barta, with a garlic naan bread! Our favorite! For 28$ we get super tasty food and its good for 2 people. Update 1 year later: the butter chicken from here is my favorite!

The nearest thing you could ever get to authentic Indian food. It is by far the tastiest and even better than food in India. The lamb bhuna is to die for. And if you like spicy make sure it is because it is mouthwatering. They're kebab is the the tastiest and so much flavour, it looks breathtaking. If only Gordon Ramsay could review this place, you would all realize how good this is. Never been so impressed by an Indian restaurant where I ate so many times.

We just ordered combo C with 2 chai tea ???????? It was DELISH, fresh, well done, nice portion a little pricey but if you go eat there you can enjoy their Specials it's worth going. If you have a mate, this is the place to call to impress someone you ❤ care, i recommend this place to anyone who wants to have the INDIAN experience here at home .... Good job guys ????????

We have been warmly welcomed by the waitress that was working tonight. She took great care of us guiding us not only through the menu, but with great attention regarding the culture behind the use of the spices. The food is perfectly spiced and they make sure they don't cut corners on the usually less important side dishes like the salad (i.e : even the salad tastes like an honorable standalone dish). We left the place with a lasting smile and it goes without saying that we'll absolutely eat there again. Thanks to our waitress, and thanks to the delicious homemade cuisine of Express Indien!

I went to eat there a few years ago and still remember the experience. They're food was absolutely delicious and great. Excellent cooks... excellent service I have to go back!!!!! This is the ONLY indian cuisine i would recommend b4 this I had bad experiences with Indian restaurant food

The food was great, the portions were generous, the server was very nice, and they had no problem accommodating my dietary needs. Very happy to have found this little gem! Was very glad to take the trip across town to eat here. Totally recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian food!

If I could I would give this place 4.5 because it was very good but not perfect (the papadum was very peppery, the place is a little run down...). That said, I got a very tasty and filling Indian meal for under $10! The naan bread was the perfect mix of crunchy and soft with just the right amount of ghee. The curry was flavorful and the salad was surprisingly good not the usual limp lettuce that other Indian places serve but a medley of peppers onions and vinaigrette. Definitely worth coming for a lunch thali or an Indian feast that won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Have to write this review before I succumb to an Indian food coma....LOL. Ordered online takeout from here for the first time this evening. Got the vegetarian meal - best saag paneer I've had in a long time. Everything was really tasty and the portions were very generous. Online ordering process was quick, easy, and efficient. Food arrived in less time that the system said. Service was friendly and efficient....Very happy - will add this place to my list of takeout favourites!

Decent food does not make up for poor service. We were loyal to Express Indian for a LONG time. Their Lamb Korma was the best we had in the city and that one dish kept us coming back. But it's not a 'nice' location so we gave them our business by ordering in. The inflexibility to make small substitutions here and there for loyal customers really wears you down. We ordered from there 10-15 times per year, they recognized us when we did come in, so the constant nickel and diming did nothing to build our loyalty. The food is good, don't get me wrong, but the feel, the mood, has forced us to choose a new go-to restaurant for our Indian cravings.

Lev "the burner" (previous reviewer) is very wrong. The excellent, delicately prepared foods more than make up for the no-frills service. The word "express" in the name should be a tell.

Good Indian food in a very simple almost cafeteria style place (often my favorite Indian restaurants have this). Good service though we were there at an odd time and the only table for a bit. Got the pre-decided meal for 2 and its a LOT of delicious leftovers. Good portions.

Worst service We didn’t get utensils with indian food(including rice), they said we have to request for them If anyone orders indian food with rice and they have to request for utensils..does it make any sense..? Did areguments on that.. We ordered just two thali and took almost 50 minutes 33$ bil for just two thali and two extra naan 9$ for each thali and 2$ for naan (mentioned on the menu) I would never recommend this restaurant They service is not good and do arguments on small things

OMG. Express Indian is the best! I know it's not a luxury, white-table cloth establishment or anything, but I say the food is first-class, authentic and amazing. I love it and eat there all the time. I order takeout and it is fast. I stop in for a meal and it is delicious. The best ever!

I got the vegetable Thali, delicious and a big portion for a good price. It included 3 dishes + rice, naan, and a small desert. I asked for spicy and I sure got it! I like spicy food so it was good, but it might be too spicy for some. Ask for mild or medium if you aren't sure. The owners seem like nice people and the food was GOOD. Going again for sure.

I find that most of the Indian restaurants in Montreal are just hopeless. This restaurant goes on to prove my point. They do not know how to cook vegetable biryani. A biryani is not supposed to contain sticky rice. Their Butter Chicken is just Chicken cooked in Cream. Also, I ordered Chicken Jalfrezi twice and it tasted different on both occasions. On the 1st occasion, it was ok. 2nd time, it tasted awful.

Best Indian food in MTL. Delicious butter chicken, chicken tikka masala. Even the green chutney is amazing! Always fresh, always friendly and a nice family business. Sometimes you have to wait 1 hour for delivery but it's worth the wait!

Fantastic Indian cuisine made from scratch for every order. Ordered a pick up for a 2 person complete dinner. So much food! And everything was delicious, perfectly mild in seasoning. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely order again!

Tried out this spot on a hot sunny day, went in to order a Channa samosa for pickup, also got some meat and Naan, it was stellar, from sweet, savory and spicy it hit all the taste buds. Amazing food! Definitely going back this summer!

Overall I'll give it 4.5 Stars. The ambiance was cozy, service was prompt and polite. The food was on point... By far, one of the best authentic Indian cuisine I had. They offer a spice level as per customer request. I wanted mine moderately spicy and it was so good. I kept coming back for their food.
