Their garlic loaves and salad still taste good but are no longer unlimited. Our dinners were more expensive, much small in portion and the quality has gone downhill. Out servers on the other hand were amazing! Continually checked up in us, kept us updated with the wait time and were both polite and funny. I'll wait another year before going back, hopefully they improve by then.

Poor service. Our waitress had a poor attitude, like we were an inconvenience to her. The appetizers were greasy, we were never asked how we liked them. After our waitress brought our food, which was disgusting and over cooked, I actually spit it out, I complained that I did not like it and got eyes rolled at me. All the waitress said was that's to bad that I didn't like it, never was offered for a replacement for anything, and she never came back. Paid $80 for terrible food and terrible service. Would never recommend eating here and I will never go back. McDonald's is a better restaurant then East Side Mario's In Cranbrook.

Always a wonderful experience going to this chain restaurant. This particular location is the only one in the North Bay area, and is typically busy on Friday and Saturday night. The servers are usually very good at keeping the tables clean, fully stocked with bread, salad and drinks and typically make the experience a pleasant one. This visit I had brought my family out, after a long day of moving. It was a great experience and was a great way to end the exhausting day. We always love the bread and salad options. I usually build my own pasta dish, while the baby eats whatever in sight, and one of the older children loves the cheese cappelletti. The new menu item with fried zucchini is our family favorite, and hope to see it continue on the menu.

Wait staff has an attitude problem. Stopped there around 5pm. They seated 8 of us at two tables that in most restaurants are meant for two people each. We were elbowing eachother and we are not big people. Waitress gave us attitude when we asked to move. There was maybe 3 families there in the whole dining area. Food took awhile and when we finally got it I asked for cheese on my pasta. Again I received attitude. It was the two older waitresses at that time. If you are in the service industry at least try and smile a little.

Ordered delivery tonight, got it in a reasonable time but will not be ordering delivery from here ever again. Pastas had little to no sauce. Sausage was way over cooked, and paid 2$ extra for baked cheese on both and got slim to no cheese on there. Paid 54$ for two pastas and a appy and didn’t even eat it. Waste of my money would have preferred going to McDonald’s.

Having eaten there a handful of times, this restaurant has a unique charm about it. One of my favorite features is the unlimited Cesar salad and bread you get when you order certain foods on the menu. The food is quite nice, the portions are reasonable and not overly expensive for the quality if you factor in the salad and breads. This provides one with the sensation of multiple course meals usually found in Europe. the service is quite excellent as well, the owner has come up and asked us how our meal was, this is a bonus in my eyes as it permits one to voice their opinions directly to the boss as opposed to a waiter, where the message can be altered. The decor is of an Italian chain restaurant but it is quite chic! the drinks are amazing, particularly a favorite of my girlfriend's, the cotton candy martini. I will most definitely return to this location as the staff is more than accommodating of the 3 children we brought, and were more than helpful and understanding with their behaviors and personalities.

Delicious food. Unlimited bread & soup or salad is always worthwhile. Cost is higher than average, but reasonable considering the perks. Biggest downfall for this restaurant is parking and wait times. Maybe consider expanding your existing location or opening a new one. Either way, good food, great service... provided you can get a table.

East Side is a great place i missed being in Quebec. Great food and drinks for a sit down. I ordered a custom 2 topping pizza and my partner had the Fetuchinne alferdo with chicken and roasted garlic. Both meals were flavorful and exactly what we ordered. Recommened for all! Note: all pasta, main entrees and the custom two-topping Pizza all come with an unlimited salad/soup deal. Forever's if you wanted to have that deal for another meal you'll have a surcharge of $5.50 in advance.

One of my favourite restaurants growing up. There are not very many left in Canada. Once I saw there was one in Cranbrook myself and kids were so excited. At first we planned to stay in Cranbrook but ended up going to Golden. The owner was absolutely awesome during this time. Gave us great service a coffee for the road and great conversation. Waiter brought both my wife's and my favourite pasta dish and mine was extremely small. I don't know how it even left the kitchen without being caught and fixed. Anyways the waiter asked if everything looked ok and I made the comment that my dish was quite small for the price but that I could deal with it; his response to me was "well with two bowls of soup and the bread you ate, that's an argument I could make against you." It was quite rude and not the proper response at all. If you want a great east side experience go to Moncton or Saint John.

I can understand if a restaurant is busy and overwhelmed with people. Here I am dying of thirst and for relief of hot pepper I just ate , and some Manager behind the bar doing inventory told me “oh I’ll tell your server to ring it in when she shows up” when I asked for a pelligrino water . Server hasn’t checked up on me once since I got my food , I’m the only customer in the restaurant at 8:40 and I just want my bill so I can leave . God forbid they look after a customer , the look she gave me when I asked her for a water (how dare I ask her while she does inventory)

A group of 20 or more of us showed up at night with no reservation (sorry ESM!) they looked short staffed and ready to start winding down. Every staff member in the restaurant sprung into action and made sure we we all seated together, drinks and food orders taken quickly and on separate bills. Food came out fast and hot and delicious. All the adults commented on how impressed we were with the food and service.

Waited almost half hour for our order and when I got my meal it was this tiny plate that looked like a toddler's plate and it was dried out on the top, looking like it was left sitting for awhile. I immediately did not want to eat it and decided to eat elsewhere and the server that was waiting on our table still charged me 20$ for this small plate I didnt even touch...the waitress did not know the menu well and did not have much info on it before I placed my order. This past Saturday I was there at opening and left so unsatisfied because i usually love going to this place at other locations ???????? Was certainly not pleased at all

Went here for the thursday "all you can eat chicken wings". At first the wings were very good and well cooked but after a few orders (they bring 7-9 wings at a time) they started coming out a little on the barely cooked side with a few questionable wings we didn"t eat. If you are looking for a non stop flow of wings from the kitchen this likely isn't a spot for you but if you wait them out you can eat your fill of wings. You can get various sauces on the side at the same time.

2.5 stars usually a good atmosphere and good food, during my most recent visit the waitress didn't come by our table as often as we would have liked but it was a busy night. I ordered the feta bruschetta one of the very few vegetarian options on the menu, it was slightly over cooked but overall tasted good for the first few pieces until i bit into it to find some small pieces of bacon had fallen onto the dish, which as a vegetarian woman had me a little bit upset that the chef clearly didn't take enough care to keep meat out of a dish advertised as vegetarian. Dissapointed.

Went for a birthday supper with my adult grandkids. Spent over $200.00. Waited a long time for our food. My grandson took a drink from his glass and cut his lip… the glass had a chip and large crack. Called a waitperson over and told her. Her response was “Oh sorry. Do you want another drink?” Had to ask for napkins to clean up his lip. Someone else came over and apologized and said his meal was free. No birthday song for the birthday girl. Food was mediocre as was the service. Not a great experience. Won’t be going back.

I've been to this East Side Mario's many times. The prices are great and the food is great. The Salad and bread are excellent, especially considering that they come unlimited with may of the different meals available. One thing that stands out in all my visits is the lack of a bad experience. It's always great. My girlfriend and I like to go in around 9pm and at this time of night it's not busy and the service is fast. It's hard to believe we've been there so many times and always happy. The wait staff must have great training because no matter who we get, they're always excellent. Definitely recommended.

We thought we would try out East Side Marios tonight. We noticed on entering, a Wednesday pasta special. As it did not give much information on the sign, I asked the hostess who shrugged and said “like it says, all you can eat pasta.” When our server came we again asked about it. She said “it’s in the menu.” Apparently we were on our own to figure this out. We finally found what we thought was it. When our server returned we asked “if this was the same as the special and are these the items we use to build our own pasta?” The answer was “yes.” We proceeded to order. When our bill arrived, we saw that we had been charged the regular price and not the Wednesday night special price. She said “she had to as we ordered add ons.” Huh? What is an add on? I see no mention of it in the menu. She said she would get the manager. The manager arrived and literally smacked the menu down in front of our faces and triumphantly pointed to a tiny square elsewhere in the menu where it mentioned add ons (yet that tiny square which apparently we were obligated to find was not mentioned by our server when we asked for clarification). Why did the server not say this? Why did the server say “YES” when we asked if we had the right place to choose our food?They did not budge on the price. I feel we were overcharged by a lot of money. I knew nothing about your restaurant and was made to feel like I was some kind of idiot for not knowing your menu. My pasta was very salty as far as the food goes. If you eat here, do your own research before you go because you will not get help with the menu and apparently the staff are not held accountable for giving you wrong information. The customer is always wrong in this establishment. I left feeling cheated and tricked by this restaurant.

Back in Ontario and in PEI (before it closed) the mini loaves came with garlic butter. This location had none. Not for the bread and not for my pasta. Also only 4 loves for the table in total before the bread tray was taken away. It's also very loud, much more than any other ESM that we've been to. Literally cannot hear the person across from you with the music so loud. Food was alright for 3 of us and the other one hated it.

Went there for my daughters 10th birthday and my husband literally didnt get his food! When he notified the manager and waitress their excuse was there was a party of 25 they were trying to serve and that they wouldnt charge him his meal. Appetizer, Budda Boomers, were under cooked and greasy, so I'm going to assume their fryer oil wasn't the right temperature. Our soup was brought to the table at non-food safe temperatures. It was so cold we could put out fingers in it. They then took it back and brought the same bowls having simply microwaved the soup. Entrees were average, better cooked than the appetizer and soups, but still not hot. The washrooms were FILTHY. Like the truck stop bathrooms I've been using for the last 8 hours were cleaner. You'd be better off going to the A & W across the street.

I went here today with my 4 daughters. The staff member that seated us was quite rude. No smiles, and she threw the crayons across the table to my daughter sitting the furthest away from her. WITHOUT ASKING WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO DRINK HE PUT 2 GLASSES OF ICED WATER ON THE TABLE, MY HUSBAND DOES NOT TAKE ICE IN HIS WATER. ESM used to be my fave growing up and for a small town with limited places to sit-down eat, it was our go-to place...but over the years, with the inevitable chain restaurant demand for higher profit margins, I feel this restaurant has gone downhill. The salad, which I used to crave, tastes like the bag it's delivered in...and don't get me started on the obviously misered toppings (2 grape tomatoes, 2 black olives, 2 rings of onions, etc), and on this occasion even the croutons were tasteless. I just don't know that I can justify the steep prices they charge now with the decrease in quality. They do however, have friendly staff, a great patio, and wonderful summer cocktails that I could sip on all day. This place will still satisfy most and I hope you enjoy. I personally will still go now and then to see if the quality has improved, and hopefully one day I'll be impressed that they are going back to their roots and cook real food, not from a bag, freezer or food service.

This was honest to God the most disgusting meal I have been served in moncton. And I'm not being mean. I swear to God it was seriously inedible. I'm talking disgusting. I ordered speggitti and meatballs from what I thought was a reputable Italian restaurant. The meat balls were from frozen processed meat! An insult to all Italian restaurants. The sauce was most definaly from a can. The meatballs were not even hot in the middle. I eat there often. Salad great. Mozzarella sticks excellent..their speggitti ( one of the most popular Italian dishes ) was absolutely the most disgusting thing a restaurant has ever served me. Hands down disgusting. Calling to complain today because I paid enough for my dinner and that was not even food.

This restaurant has become our favourite place to eat in Cranbrook, just last night we drove an hour just to eat there for dinner. The food is AMAZING, the servers always make you feel like family, and we always leave happy and stuffed. Yesterday I had the lasagna and my fiancé had the chicken parm with pasta, best Lasagna I’ve ever had by far. The chicken parm was delicious as well. 10/10 would recommend eating here.

The ultimate Canadian pizza was under cooked, and mostly sauce, very little toppings, and mushrooms were only thin slices or pieces and not button mushrooms. Went a couple weeks ago and food was burnt when it arrived at the table. Waiter was very nice but that is the only good thing I can say about that visit. I went again this week and food was served cold. Did not receive the promotions we were entitled to. Service was slow, waitress not very friendly or the manager for that matter. Checked into our hotel in cranbrook and East Side Mario’s was close so we decided to go there for late supper. Service was good up until we were having our mains brought to table. Waiters brought items for myself and my daughter, and we expected to have my wife’s order brought directly afterwards, but waited for over five minutes before anyone checked on us. Finally waitress came over and I explained that my wife’s order had not been delivered to the table. She went and got it right away, but her cheesy pasta had been a bit over cooked and was cold. The manager came out and issued one of the most sincere apologies for his staff I think I’ve ever heard, and knocked 50% off of our bill. Not much to complain about when you hear something like that. Based on service I’ll definitely give them another chance whenever we are back in town.

It was my first time to eat here! My husband likes this restaurant(he has been to different locations). The service was great, taste was good. Their bread was very tasty! We could get free soup at lunch time. My husband said it was small portions because it was the first time for him to visit at lunch time, but the price is cheaper too. 3.5 Once you go in. There is a horn, this is used to get the attention of the front staff to sit you. Please don't let your kids abuse the horn. It annoys everyone and the staff even more. The staff I interacted with was very nice and helpful. Solid 5/5 I got the chicken parmasian and it was huge and delicious. The pasta that came with it was not very good for some reason. Slightly undercooked and not hot. Was fine but most people may not like it. Lots of food overall and very good.

My penne with arrabiata sauce and added chicken was pretty good. I also had the house salad that was OK. My wife had the chicken parmesan with spaghettini. Unfortunately the first piece came out way too overdone (almost burnt). They replaced it with another piece (larger size) and was great. Overall a pretty good meal. EXCELLENT SERVICE. As far as waitress goes. However my wife ordered a salad she asked for no croutons and black olives. Salad came with bunch of lettuce with bit of shredded carrot and three cherry tomatoes and couple onion rings. Also asked for chicken which was an extra 4 bucks. Chicken would barely fill palm of her hand. Just a terrible salad for 15 bucks. I got 10 inch pizza my son got kids pizza and a Shirley temple total bill 45 bucks. Just outlandish never going back.

They’ve really let themselves go. I don’t usually write bad reviews of restaurants—I like think I’m ‘easy’—Plus, years back I actually quite liked this particular restaurant. But I’m moved to put pen to paper…err…fingers to keyboard by my breathtakingly underwhelming experience at Eastsides. The worst food that I can remember having (In Canada, anyways). Here’s how it went down. I showed up about 8pm, The seating and first drink order were really slow. Probably at least 15 min. which is an eternity in restaurant time. It wouldn’t get much better. The bread = cold. The margarine = oily+ slightly off. It made me a bit nauseous, which is really saying something, as I have a famously cast-iron stomach. The Caesar salad was stale and obviously not fresh. The main course (Spicy Chicken) was…. ok, I guess. It wasn’t that great. I’ve had TV diners that have been better. Plus, the Sangria I ordered was rather lackluster. So to sum it all up. Service= initially slow (in fairness, it was ok, starting after the arrival of my drink), salad= bad, bread= bad, Entree= lame, Drink= lame. Boooo Eastsides.

My family ate here a few nights ago and was sorely disappointed. Our group tried 4 separate dishes and all were sub par. Their usual salad and soups seemed fine but the mains were something else. The most average dishes were the lasagna and the spaghetti and meat balls. Both featured runny sauce low quality flavorless meats. The alfredo and chicken pasta was way to hot out of the kitchen while also being gummy and bland. We didn't eat the chicken pasta and asked to return it to the kitchen. The manager came to speak with us which was appreciated initially. He then proceeded to explain that people complained about the pasta often; then argued that he didn't microwave it as Boston Pizza does which was in poor taste. The last dish was a 4 meat pizza which came on doughy crust and again the same bland meat. Most confusingly, despite the menu listing basil as a topping, there was no basil on the pizza. There was some chopped up spinach which I can only hope was not meant to be passed off as basil. The waitress was cold, but obviously over worked. She even said she the only server on staff for at least a dozen tables. We have eaten here before and really enjoyed the atmosphere and food but this was an unfortunate night.

Service was great, no complaints there, but thats the only reason its not 1 star 2 people at our table ordered the Chicken Parm and it was severely overcooked. Im not kidding, the bird looked like charcoal, and the pasta sauce had no flavor. Tasted like water Another person ordered the shrimp Alfredo. The shrimp was old and way to chewy, and even after adding salt and pepper, it was bland as hell. I do not recommend this place at all.
