The staff is very friendly and helpful. This a great place to find grass fed meats with no antibiotics or hormones. They also have limited seasonal produce, cheeses, free run eggs and more. There is also a cafe and bakery to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with a gourmet sandwich or pastry. The shop is wheelchair accessible however the parking area is not yet paved.

I love this place. The meat is super fresh and grass fed. I buy all of my meat here I will never buy meat from a grocery store again. It’s very reasonably priced. They are super friendly. They also make amazing home made baked treats. I highly recommend

The Teacher's Cupboard

I had a choice of ordering turkey from Heatherlea and another farm store. I chose Heatherlea as they were a bit cheaper per lb on the turkey. I also ordered turkey gravy (I usually make my own but thought I’d try it) and butter tarts. Turkey came packaged just like you would get from the local grocery store, and given that we can get antibiotic naturally raised from many stores now at a much lower price point, this was a huge disappointment. It was also very stringy. The turkey gravy had zero taste and was a complete waste of money. I had to add a lot of herbs, plus ALL our turkey drippings, and the stock from boiling the neck all afternoon that I normally use for basting my roast veggies and stuffing. Don’t expect to just heat and serve unless you have no taste buds. You might as well just make your own. The butter tarts were the only items deserving any stars. I will never return.

Decided to try this place as I heard many good things about it. Grove 45 minutes to get there wasn't to busy I went straight to the butcher and selected my meats I was looking for a rib eye they did not have. It's my favourite cut of steak so I went with another piece. I bought 10 lb of ground beeffreezer section bought some chorizo and hamburger. and I decided to try their butter tarts which were very good. I want to really try those barbecue chicken with blue cheese sausages

Love love love this place! Amazing products and outstanding service. I found Heatherlea about a year ago when I wanted to start eating local, organic, humanely raised (very important to me) meat and eggs. Part of the reason for mine and my husband’s lifestyle change was to start a family and I am now 7 months pregnant with our baby girl :o) I cannot rave enough about the quality of the meat and knowing that it is ethically raised makes it worth the extra $$. We will continue to exclusively buy our meat from Heatherlea and have told all our friends and family to try it out! PS: I was so excited when I found their nitrate free hotdogs so I no longer feel guilty when I have a hotdog and my husband treats himself every once in awhile to a tomahawk steak, they are out of this world cooked low and slow on the bbq.

This place was delicious. Came in looking for a farmer’s market and found this gem. We stayed and had lunch here. Beware: they don’t carry a large selection of produce, because they focus on meat. We purchased some of their frozen items that look absolutely delish and had lunch there. While being there, We tried the peameal bacon sandwich and while it was great, the big winner was the steak sandwich.... simply superb!

I was randomly passing by, saw a sign "60-90 day dry aged steaks", and had to make a u-turn to check it out. Staff was helpful, and they had a nice selection of meats and cheeses...but I didn't have much time, so I just got a 60 day dry aged striploin. It was magnificent. I shall be back!

Hi, I went to this farm shop last Sunday. In store you can find different types of good variety of all the products . I really like the fresh veg ,pasta sause and honey. They also carry organics juice and sauces. Staff also very nice and helpful. I vill go back soon and inside the shop tea corner I love it ....

Bought many meats at the fresh counter. Made the Bratwursts when got home. Was delicious. Tasty to perfection. Definitely recommend if your looking for German Bratwursts. Also bought chicken sausages which look delicous and went in my freezer. Making at a later date. Social distancing is followed and felt safe while shopping. Check it out if you're in the area!!

Really great spot to have lunch. The food is excellent. Try the grilled cheese sandwich and the BLT.....a real treat. On a return trip we tried their steak sandwich .... Excellent! The brownies are soóo good as well. The staff are very helpful and friendly. If you want to eat there they only have outside eating.

I just wish I found out about them sooner! The minute I walk in the door I'm a happier person! We live in Brampton and have been here 3 times in the last 5 weeks. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Everything has been so good from the breakfast sandwich to the muffins and bread is amazing. "Ma McArthur", if I can call her that :), her Bison chili is delish. Can't wait to pick up our meat package this weekend. I have so much respect for this family. After picking up our overpriced frozen meals ordered online, we walked over to the fence next to the loading area, not too far from the shop. We wanted to show our one year old the cows that were out on the field. We were admiring the view of the farm, watching our son smiling at the cows in the far distance. A few minutes later, staff came out and said, “excuse me, you’re not supposed to go beyond that car.” A few meters away, we noticed a van parked perpendicular to the dirt road. We apologized, said we were just showing our son the cows, and started to walk back to the car. Staff said nothing in response and stood there, waiting until we walked passed her. She then said, “Thanks guys, this is private property.” I said, “Sorry about that.” The woman said nothing, turned her back to me and proceeded into the store. The exchange felt unnecessary, unwelcoming, and in that moment, the $120 we spent to support this business, stung. We were told to go away with a baby because we were “not supposed to be beyond that car..” As paying customers in this establishment, we were shocked and disappointed in being treated this way. Our first visit to this shop that charges $10 for mac & cheese, will be our last. We wanted to try local regardless of the cost because we believe in supporting local and small businesses. The unwelcoming and pretentiousness of this shop does not warrant another visit nor the high costs for its food products, regardless of how much “work” goes into running this business. There are many other local farms in the area who likely work harder because they don’t have an “Instagram worthy” store front that helps bring footsteps into the shop. None of the staff had a smile on their faces, nor went out of their way to be hospitable. The selection of beef looked fresh, but the chicken here leaves much to be desired. We won’t be coming back here.

Saw an advert for the place so decided to stop by while my Daughter was at an event nearby. Was not disappointed. High quality meats and a very good selection. Lots of other gourmet item to choose from. Very nice staff. I also tried their coffee, an Americano, it was outstanding. Will caution you about their coffee lids; not so great. Overall, wonderful.

I'm an avid meat eater, and this is by far the best place to buy your meat. Only place that I know that raise and sell their own cattle. Love that it is grass fed and grain finished for the extra flavour. Met the owner Gord, and he is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and makes the experience that much better. Service is wonderful, place is clean and the meat is delicious, what more can you ask for. I'm definitely a customer for life.
