Cambium made all our wedding dreams come true! The staff were a delight to work with, and kept us in the loop along the journey of planning our big day. The Cambium team makes you feel like family and goes above and beyond to make sure your day runs smoothly. Our wedding day was amazing in every way thanks to Cambium! If you are looking for a unique venue that is essentially a one stop shop, Cambium is the place to host your big day.
Pretty place
Beautiful event space. Warm, welcoming Christmas market in a gorgeous venue.
Great place
The atmosphere, the setting, the people, it's hard to beat!!
Really enjoyed the event at this venue.
Great venue for a wedding. Beautiful setting and helpful staff.
Beautiful place
Very neat wedding venue.
Its amazing that a venue that prides itself on service would not give the over $20,000 deposit back to a couple who can not get married there due to the pandemic. It is completely unprofessional and just another example of how people take advantage of "weddings/wedding pricing". I have a best friend who owns a venue, and she is providing all clients with full refunds because she understands what customer service is. Weddings/events are referral based business, the only referral you will get if you keep this up is to a bankruptcy lawyer.
Trying to host large weddings by breaking the law is disgusting. Holding a young couples money is WRONG !
Had a wedding here and the location is really nice and the barn was great for a reception. Good place for a wedding!
Very cool spot. Typically a wedding venue, but during covid, it's turned into a food truck/beer garden area. Great staff and quiet farmland to enjoy a beer.
Our violin and cello duo recently performed here for a wedding ceremony, and we would recommend this venue to brides and grooms looking for a rustic yet chic wedding! Can't wait to be back!
To suite the rustic, western mood for any occasion or event. Very nice buildings in “barn” style. Owner is greatly obliging and helpful in every was as the rest of the staff are also. Great place to spend the days with old stores n gas (non operable of course) stations reflecting eras past. For a jump into the past, nostalgically speaking, its wort the time. See you there
Beautiful venue for summer/fall weddings
Beautiful venue
We attended a wedding here in October and it was absolutely gorgeous. Everybody involved in the wedding was super friendly and welcoming, and the venue is incredible. We didn't get to wander the grounds, but everything we saw was never set up. The only downside was the temperature - it was pretty cold that weekend and the heating set up was not sufficient to keep most people warm. Some ceiling fans or additional vent pipes would probably help. A wind block on the windward side of the can would have been the biggest help.
I do security at his establishment for the past three years in the time I have spent at this establishment no couple has come away disappointed with the service and ambience provided. Take it from me I know the staff and management and every angle is taken care off for the couple. The ambience is breathtaking for example there was a couple who did a video in the pastures beside the barn the photographer had them running to each other when they met in middle the groom swooped up his bride and they did a twirl with each other. This was captured via camera drone in Hd and in a 360'degree angle showing the bride and groom in the middle of the pasture with the lush grass flowing with the breeze around them. It was later shown on the screen projector. There was no words to describe what i saw. This place provided this experience for this couple so just bring your imagination and the let the Staff and Management take care of the rest you won't be disappointed.
We have had the pleasure of working at Cambium Farms as a vendor for about a dozen weddings spanning over three years now. We have also attended a few weddings as a guest as some of our close friends have chosen to tie the knot there. This venue is one of a kind, a truly beautiful and private location to celebrate your wedding day with your friends and family (who I guarantee will be blown away by the beauty and charm of the farm). Cambium Farms is still family owned and operated by The Williams family, who work together to provide genuine customer service and authentic experiences for their couples. Last year they renovated their largest space (the barn), and added over a dozen individual style washrooms and a second event space (the byre) under the main barn space. They added a huge terrace at the back of the main barn, and have seriously set themselves apart from any other barn venue in Ontario. Due to COVID restrictions, some of the most recent weddings we have done at Cambium have been intimate wedding celebrations. I actually think the venue is surprisingly well suited for smaller gatherings, which really highlight the rustic charm and feel of the venue. There are so many beautiful and charming spaces where you can host a smaller reception at this sprawling venue - the courtyard, the byre, the carriage house, the open ceremony space or the main attraction - the barn. A celebration at Cambium Farms (big or small!) is sure to be a memorable one :)
A great place to hold a barn wedding or any event. The staff are friendly, and the facilities beautiful. They recently added an extension for the washrooms to their main building so you don't have to go outside, and there's an area downstairs for additional event space. The food is also good, I had the steak, and my friend had the chicken. We were both happy with our food, and the service :) Although is a great distance from the city, I appreciate the venue being surrounded by peaceful farmland, it makes for some good photos.
A beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding
Beautiful space that we used for the production of our music video and performance for international woman's Day
They should have some fans in the Barn in order to make people comfortable in case weather is too hot... also please do something about the mosquitos. It’s a horrible with heat and mosquitoes around.
Great place for a wedding
Beautiful Venue - Service Needs Work! I was part of a wedding party that was done here recently. This spot is gorgeous, and the wedding itself turned out beautifully. Dealing with the couple that owned this spot, however, was a bit of a nightmare. Extremely reluctant to help out when questions were directed to them, or extra assistance was asked of them. When a wedding couple is paying THOUSANDS of dollars to host their wedding at this couple's property, you would think that they'd be friendly and accommodating, but unfortunately that is not the case. Based on this, I would likely recommend taking your business elsewhere, where it would be appreciated.
Did a wedding charter with the bus. People who where on the bus said they had a fantastic time.
Best wedding venue EVER!!!!
Excellent venue
Horrible communication skills at this venue. I initially emailed Cambium Farms (Specifically talked to Kaitlynn), on February 26th about hosting an event at this venue and it is now March 27th and have not yet been able to get a response from anyone. There is a lot of stress with hosting an event, receiving a response from a venue should not be one of them.
We went here for a wedding, and I was amazed at the quality and effort of the location and staff. Beautiful location, ready for any weather, great buildings and outdoor settings. Valet parking was a nice touch too.
Awesome!!
Wow very nice set up here!!
Great place for a wedding
Friendly staff. Beautiful location. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for an out door venue.
We got married September 21st, 2018, and we cannot say Thank You enough to all the amazing people at Cambium Farms. Both Colin and Kaitlynn were so amazing to work with, helping us to plan every detail of our big day and truly helping alleviate all stress when it came to planning our wedding. It is evident that everyone at Cambium truly cares that their brides and grooms have the wedding of their dreams. From our very first appointment, to the wedding day, they were there to answer any and all questions, offer tips and advice, help plan with other vendors, etc... they were there and ready to help. On our wedding day, we did not have to worry or stress over a single thing because they had all the details sorted, we were able to be in the moment and enjoy our special day to the fullest. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more, and we owe that to the wonderful people at Cambiums. Thank you! The Happy Newlyweds, Matt and Brittany Baker!!!
Favorite barn venue
Beautiful place for wedding inside and out! Great for any season ???? ????
Very nice place, if you enjoy de natural and country environment is perfect. Outdoors and indoors spaces. Parking.
Breathtaking venue!
I couldn't have picked a better venue for our special day!! Collin was so helpful from beginning to end. Planning a wedding is very stressful and Collin really alleviated so much of it. Our day went so smoothly and without a single hiccup. We were able to enjoy every moment of our wedding day without a worry. That is worth every penny that we spent to have this venue!! I can't recommend them enough for any newly engaged couple :) This was our dream venue, our guests are still telling us how beautiful our wedding was to this day!!
Really beautiful wedding venue
This is an incredible wedding venue with a ton of natural and rustic details. The barn is warm and intimate, and the grounds are spacious and surrounded by open fields. The possibilities for style and design are endless! Can't wait to be back here.
We were looking for a unique and different venue for our wedding and as soon as we came across Cambium Farms, we just knew that this was the perfect location for us. We did our ceremony in the Carriage House, Cocktail Hour was held right outside and the reception in the barn. We also, got ready and took all of our photos on site. The venue offers so many different scenic opportunities and don't get me started on the amazing natural lighting! Great for photos! This rustic and nostalgic venue just won the hearts of all of our vendors, family and friends. Everyone still talks about the uniqueness of our wedding venue. Definitely the wedding that everyone will forever remember! Let's not forget that everyone from the Cambium team are so great to speak to and flexible to work with. Our wedding day would have not been the same without the support and effort of each and every one of them. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
The Curated Experience is must do if you enjoy wines, beers or ciders
Beautiful venue for a romantic wedding and food was delicious!
Really nice place for a wedding or other event. Very well maintained grounds.
A great venue! Lovely spot to have a local cider and food truck delicacy while listening to live music!
Beautiful venueo
Great Christmas event but a tad expensive!
very nice venue....for weddings etc...food catered by Oliver and Bonacini...ok but it was cold by the time we were served....Service was ok. A little crowded for servers to access table....what do they do in bad weather, rain ....open slats in barn (dining area) also dark at night
Went for a wedding, gorgeous
how much is the cost for 5 hours event for 2000 people ?
if you like to use a out house / construction site washroom this is the place for you. not clean, more of a red neck theme . staff are okay, no heating or ac so depending on the season it may be hot or cold "buyer beware" - " It is what it is" - so iv been told all in all you get what you pay for. if your on a budget this place is affordable.
The venue is rustic, unique, and beautiful. I judge an establishment by the cleanliness and up-keep of a bathroom. Their bathrooms are incredibly clean and individualized with sink and toilet in each bathroom stall without compromising on space.
Very nice afternoon on the patio. Great food and entertainment.
It's a amazing place I've been there 2 times with cabrel catering and there rule is u need to be 18 and u need to have your smart serve
My partner and I booked our wedding at Cambium Farms in June 2019 for an October 2020 wedding. We were excited about the event space and to support a family-run business. We paid our deposit and other funds as set out in our agreement. Our contract had a clause stating if Cambium was unable to perform their end of the contract (i.e., holding the wedding) all funds would be returned. When COVID lockdowns started, we expressed our concerns with Cambium being able to hold the wedding. We were more than 6 months from our wedding date, which meant we could get some money already paid above our deposit amount back if we cancelled. Cambium was, in our opinion, unwilling to reasonably communicate about the impact of the pandemic and their expected ability to perform the contract in October, and instead expected us to continue to pay them thousands of dollars over the course of the next few months despite the fact that lockdowns were expected to continue and, regardless, they would not be able to hold the event as agreed. In our opinion, at the end of the day, this caused us extreme stress to be negotiating with what was once a small family-owned business, but now feels like a wedding factory designed to maximize profits. Almost all of our other vendors were significantly more flexible and worked with us to get to a satisfactory resolution. We felt bullied to make a decision with a pending deadline by which we had to pay more to Cambium or void the contract and get nothing back! As a young couple, $6,000 was and is significant to us as a and to recoup some of the funds paid (and not have to continue paying the Williams family for a service they could not have performed) we agreed to cancel the wedding and let them keep our deposit. We do not recommend any engaged couple contracts this business if they are expecting to work with reasonable and flexible partners, especially with all of the uncertainty and change that happens as you plan a wedding. There are many beautiful venues in Southern Ontario who have better business practices and do not aim to generate profits when providing a complete lack of services.
Great atmosphere, beautiful rustic farm ambience, friendly staff and amazing food will definitely go back again
Had a lovely time at a wedding there.
We had our wedding there a couple of weekends ago and everything was perfect! Colin was our coordinator and he was so helpful with every little thing we asked for. All the staff and their preferred vendors were great to work with. They all worked together to make our wedding dream come true! The venue, staff, and vendors exceeded all of our expectations and we can’t thank you guys enough for that!
I wish there was a way to write a 0 star review. I was supposed to attend a wedding of close friends at Cambium Farms this past summer. Understandably, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 because the couple could not have the wedding they dreamed of and were promised by the venue. Cambium Farms has decided to take advantage of the pandemic and keep the substantial deposit on the venue even though they could not follow through with the original contract. Extremely disappointing to see this level of dishonesty and unethical business practices that Cambium Farms has displayed, especially during a global pandemic.
Cousins wedding
Went to a really nice wedding here this past summer in July. It was beautiful and the venue is great. I had previously went to a wedding there a few years before and could not have said that then. They have since built proper washroom and made additions to the barn. The landscaping is beautiful. The dinner service was also much much better.
My friends were supposed to get married here this summer and this venue has handled the pandemic very poorly. They were misleading and deceitful with postponing/ cancellation policies and are now keeping their money hostage. They also hosted another event at their venue the day my friends were supposed to get married there!! Very unprofessional and I hope this doesn’t happen to another young couple.
We rented this venue for a celebration of life event in early October and I could not have picked a better place or staff to work with. In dealing with such a difficult and sensitive situation, I had the utmost pleasure of working with one of the most incredibly kind, generous, professional and hard working staff members on site. Her name is Meagan. Right from the first call to the very end with clean up she was consistently there for me for any information, help, guidance and support. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue for any event. Its beautiful, unique, and was absolutely perfect for my dad. Thank you to all the staff who helped to make this day as special as my dad is. Extra thanks and special mention to Meagan. This event would not have been as special or smooth without her passion, care and support for this occasion. ❤ I will be renting this venue in the future for any other special occasion.
We were very excited to get married at Cambium this year but unfortunately it wasn’t possible due to the pandemic. We initially put down a $20,000 deposit and were told we would get our deposit back if the government would not allow the event to take place.. Despite our best efforts, Cambium has refused to return our deposit even though our contract clearly states they are required to do so if they are unable to host the event on the scheduled day. They have been trying to push us to get married on a weekday (not what we paid for) or wait until 2022. Please be careful not to give them any $ in advance as you may not get it back. They may be facing financial difficulties (as many businesses are), however it’s really not fair to take advantage of a young couple starting out their life together. We will be sure to update this review if we are able to resolve this issue but at this point we are losing hope. Response to Jora Kuner (legal counsel for Cambrium Farms) Mr. Kuner as you are an officer of the court I am very disappointed that you would post something like this as threatening and full incorrect facts. I guess it should not be surprising based on the emails you have been sending me. At this point if I was using your style I should threaten you, but I will leave it at that. Jim Brown
Awesome venue for a wedding
Really excellent experience. Kaitlynn, who was our main point of contact throughout our experience and she was exceptionally competent, pleasant and calm. She made the day seamless. The venue is stunning. They have a new contract with O & B for catering - would consider this option despite its extra cost. Also highly recommend Karen, from cedar and stone for flowers . My now husband and I couldn’t be happier with the day!
Great food and service
I've had the pleasure of working with the Cambium Farms team since I booked my wedding for 2020 in 2018. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, I've had to change my plans. My Event Coordinator Kaitlynn has bent over backwards to accommodate my fiancé and I to come up with a solution to a situation that nobody expected. Cambium Farms was gracious enough to host intimate ceremony for my family (with a beautiful bouquet and bottle of Veuve! ) on our original wedding day and we moved our party to next year so we can celebrate our 1st anniversary with all our friends! I can't thank the Cambium team enough for all they have done to accommodate and work with us during all this craziness! You're all class acts! Cant wait till next year! -S
My co-workers' daughter got married at Cambium Farms last weekend and what a beautiful experience the day was. Right from driving up the beautiful lane way to valet (a very nice touch) to ceremony location, cocktails, dinner and dancing. We found out as the evening went on that Cambium Farms is a family owned and run business and you can tell how much they care about having everything run smoothly for the bride and groom. If I was to do it all over again, we would choose Cambium Farms for our wedding day!
I was here for a vendor event. Was suppose to run from 12 to 7pm.. because the event manager said that's how long the patio was open until. Entertainment for the patio was only scheduled until 530pm and by 5:15pm we were told the kitchen was closing... Kind of sad when you promote an event like this and then you have to reach back out to the people who were coming and tell them they can't because apparently they are closing. Super super disappointing. The staff was closing up while people were still arriving.. some even considering staying/eating on the patio and were confused when told it was closed. Jess from shop with purpose was so fantastic and handled the mess very well. Unfortunately though, I won't return to cambium farms. Customer service is ZERO. Little markets like this help during times of Covid. But clearly not appreciated on the other end. Only gave one star because zero wasn't an option.
Check this place out for some drinks , music and great food truck options. Great place to hangout on weekend evening.
Truthfully I think the owner needs a new event planner. The current one is horrible.
Great people, great experience.
Great venue
There is no air conditioning so it can get hot as it did on my niece's 40 degree wedding day in August. But it will still a beautiful wedding and venue
Absolutely horrific customer service
Got married there August 2018 and can't say enough about this venue and the team. Colin was great, laid back, and accommodating. We had such a blast all day at the farm and literally had almost everything go according to plan. The ceremony on the lawn was awesome, the cocktails on the driveway/carriage house were probably the most fun, and the dinner/dance in the barn was legendary. A great venue for anyone who loves the rustic feel and a great party!
Beautiful venue. My only idea would be needs air conditioning.
wonderful location.
We went for a late fathers day lunch - really nice to see they are cooking their own food now instead of just food truck options. Nice menu, lots of vegi options too which is great. There was one food truck there serving cheesecake on a stick - absolutely to die for.The main point of this review is for Arthur. There was one server there and had it not been quiet he would have been run off his feet, but honestly, he could not do enough for us. He was so attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I hope the owners know what a star they have on their team and appreciate him as we did. Nice wine and nice to be served it in glass ware now rather than plastic beakers. Wish the food was served on crockery rather than disposable - really bad for the environment and not nice to eat off. Really lovely hostess too - sorry don't know her name. Great live singer also. It is a really nice peaceful location - would recommend.
Awesome place
