If I had read this review before I chose La Mangue Verte as a caterer for my wedding, I would have chosen another. First, let me say that Lysanne and her team of cooks and waiters are friendly people with a lot of heart. Their menu is wonderful and their food is gourmet and delicious. However, the management of customer services is poor. Communication between us and Lysanne before and during our wedding reception was both stressful and disappointing. I give them 2 stars to reflect this bad service. I have many examples but here are some of them ... They changed the contract and increased our prices a week before the wedding. They did not deliver the editing of the host table as planned. They forgot to serve me and my husband the champagne for our toast ... The service was very slow and we only had 32 guests ... The chocolate fountain was non-functional for several minutes for our dessert, which forced us to change our calendar of events for the evening. Green Mango insists they are a very experienced first class caterer however they seemed very mixed and unprofessional, with a lot of improvements to make to their delivery. The worst is that Lysanne was not open to accept our comments, but rather blamed the problems on mere "misunderstandings", despite the fact that I had a positive and excellent experience with all the other vendors of our marriage. To be fair, I think La Mangue Verte deserves 5 stars for food quality and 1 star for mediocre service, which averages 3 stars. But I would not want to consciously choose a wedding caterer that is nothing short of excellent in food and service and I do not think you either. -------------------------------------------------- ----------------- I'm leaving a review for Green Mango Caterer because I think it's critical. I have many examples but here they are just a few- they changed the price of our wedding day, they did not deliver the table set up they agreed to do, they forgot to serve my champagne and I champagne for our toast, they were very slow to serve the meals with just 32 guests, they brought a broken chocolate fountain for our dessert which forced us to change our event timing for the evening. The Green Mango insists they are an experienced, premium caterer but they seem pretty scattered and unprofessional, with a lot of bugs to work out. The worst is that Lysanne was not open to hearing our attention but instead blamed the problems on ongoing 'misunderstandings,' despite the fact that I had excellent experiences. To be fair, I think The Green Mango deserves 5 stars for the food quality and 1 star for poor service, which averages to 3 stars. But I would not knowly choose a wedding caterer that's anything less than stellar in food and service. Si j'avais lu cet avis avant que je choisisse La Mangue Verte comme traiteur pour mon mariage, j'en aurais choisi un autre. Tout d'abord, permettez-moi de dire que Lysanne et son équipe de cuisiniers et de serveurs sont des gens sympas avec beaucoup de cœur. Leur menu est merveilleux et leur nourriture est gastronomique et délicieuse. Cependant, la gestion des services à la clientèle est pauvre. La communication entre nous et Lysanne avant et pendant notre réception de mariage était à la fois stressante et décevante. Je leur donne 2 étoiles pour refléter ce mauvais service. J'ai beaucoup d'exemples mais en voici quelques-uns… Ils ont changé le contrat et augmenté nos prix une semaine avant le mariage. Ils n’ont pas livré le montage de la table d'hôtes tel que prévu. Ils ont oublié de nous servir, moi et mon époux, le champagne pour notre toast… Le service était très lent et nous n’avions seulement que 32 invités… La fontaine de chocolat était non-fonctionnelle pendant plusieurs minutes pour notre dessert, ce qui nous a obligé à changer notre calendrier d'événements pour la soirée. La Mangue Verte insiste qu'ils sont un traiteur de première classe très expérimenté cependant ils nous ont semblés très mélangés et non professionnels, avec beaucoup d’améliorations à apporter à leur prestation. Le pire est que Lysanne n'a pas été ouverte à accepter nos commentaires, mais plutôt blâmé les problèmes sur des simples « malentendus », malgré le fait que j’ai eu une expérience positive et excellente avec tous les autres fournisseurs de notre mariage. Pour être honnête, je pense que La Mangue Verte mérite 5 étoiles pour la qualité de la nourriture et 1 étoile pour un service médiocre, qui est en moyenne 3 étoiles. J’ai apprécié tout particulièrement leurs petits bâtonnets de hummus! Je conseille fortement.

We had a very special concept and their team served us something memorable, personalized, inspired, delicious and really not very expensive for the quality. Nous avions un concept très particulier et leur équipe nous a servi quelque chose de mémorable, personnalisé, inspiré, délicieux et vraiment pas très cher pour la qualité. Même nos invités qui habituellement chialent tout le temps sur tout n'avaient rien à redire, sauf un (mais lui, c'est vraiment un cas désespéré... sa femme avait heureusement prévu le coup et lui avait apporté dans sa sacoche - et ce n'est pas des farces - un sandwich au Paris pâté et il était full content... ça dit tout...). Le vin aussi était excellent et cela nous a agréablement surpris, parce que nous avions fait nos cheaps sur l'alcool. Toute l'équipe est très sympathique, ouverte aux échanges et préoccupée de notre bien-être. Nos 26 artistes invités (quand même !) avaient de leur côté des boites à lunch et tout le monde était satisfait. Le souper pour les bébés en revanche avait l'air moins bon, mais ces derniers n'avaient pas l'air insultés de manger des pâtes au poulet pendant que les adultes se roulaient dans le foie gras... Je pense que La mangue verte est LE traiteur à Québec pour des gens qui cherchent une expérience de repas différente pour leurs convives.

Crispy noodles, soy sauce, but what a taste! Coriander, etc ... you can't expect such a taste experience with a caterer usually. For me, the meetings with St-Hubert are over, I will adopt it! All that affordable too. I recommend eyes closed! So many beautiful choices on the menu, difficult to decide! (Original) Première expérience avec ce traiteur .
