I’ll never set foot in this restaurant again Had a party of 20 amd 3 are Unvaxxed. The man was rude fast when I asked if they could come in an eat. NO THEY ARENT ALLOWED! Said it’s the law This breaks five laws Mandates aren’t laws. Time food sucked the last time anyways

Been here a couple times, the consensus of everyone both times has been "the food was nothing special but the ambience was nice". Would go here again only if nothing else is open again. The fish and chip wrap was pretty good though.

Just had lunch, great food, amazing service. Our server Taylor, was kind and attentive, she was very very busy (Monday afternoon and they are busy with locals really great sign) Taylor didn't miss a beat with our orders. Highly recommend if you're in Campbell river. Really awesome experience! Thank you Riptide and thank you Taylor for a great lunch!

Good food and service with a nice view as well. I had the Ginger salmon salad and it was very tasty. We also had the Thai rice bowl with Chicken and Calamari with yam fries.

Great view of the harbour. Food was really good too. Selection of drinks like coolers was quite poor but otherwise no complaints and would go again.

Wes flew us in to the top end of the Nootka Trail and it was a great take off in windy conditions. Then on the way home he picked is up at Friendly cove and it was like sitting in a lounge chair. Great people, great service.

One of our favourite Campbell River spots! Stopped in mid afternoon on the long weekend. Great food as always but a blatently uncomfortable lack of covid protocol. Despite the lifting of restrictions staff leaning in on tables, speaking within a foot of your face is unwelcome. I'd hate to see shutdowns again. As a business owner I won't give a bad star rating to such a great place, but please improve basic distancing at minimum.

Three vaccinated people rudely turned away because my teenager didn’t have ID. (Had proof of vaccination). The old lady said, “We’re following the ACTUAL rules.” Apparently the staff are following their own rules, because as soon as we left we looked it up, and sure enough, youth STILL don’t need ID along with their proof of vaccination. Lost our business for good. Went to Wasabiya (a better restaurant) right after and got right in. Riptide has been the only restaurant to turn us away since the mandates. Ridiculous.

I had an amazing experience. The service was great and quick. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable. The food...wow. We had the seafood linguini, the black and blue burger and the muscle and clam plate. The alfredo seafood linguini was spectacular, creamy and the perfect portion size. The black and blue burger was juicy and what a true canadian burger should be. If I lived in the community, I'd be back often. Oh and the carmel Cheesecake. Get it.

Fish and chips, local beer, crab cakes, root beer cheese cake. Also a fun place to eat. We sat on the upper level and totally enjoyed ourselves.

Excellent! Food, drink, service, vibe, view - everything was awesome. We loved the beef dip, French onion soup, and mushroom chicken burger. Our server, Maddie, was friendly and provided great service from start to finish. Timing was perfect and she was very genuine. Enjoyed the view of the marina from our patio table but the inside decor is lovely and we look forward to dining in next visit.

I enjoyed our visit here. The ambiance was great. Though they did have some TVs playing sports, they weren't in your face like many other pubs. The place was packed when we got there, due to Xmas parties but it wasn't too loud. The host was very accommodating. Because of the parties there wasn't any tables when we got there. After sitting at the bar, he brought us to a table that had opened up. By the time the rest of our group arrived he had a larger table ready for us. The food was pretty good for pub food. They did have to bring my wife's nachos out 3 times due to kitchen mistakes. When she got it the way she ordered it, it was pretty good. They didn't charge us for them, so kudos. Where they really stood out was the live entertainment. A jazz duo named Easy Street was playing. They were excellent and had a great repertoire from the 60s to today. We have already decided to go back next time they play.

My friend and I go to riptide for lunch 2-3 times a week and have always enjoyed the food. We went in today just before 1pm and had nobody greet us at all. At 1:30 after waiting for over half an hour with no greeting (I just assumed the hostess forgot to tell the waitress about us) we watched all of the tables behind us receive drinks and orders taken. So I politely approached the bar and let a random server know we have been waiting for 30 minutes with no greeting and we weren’t upset just hungry. I was very surprised by how unprofessional and rude her response was, we just about left from that but she wasn’t OUR server so we decided to wait for our server and ignore the rude comments. After being incredibly rude to me this server just turned around and walked away from me while I was in mid sentence. I went back to my table. A table was sat directly beside us and had been waiting about five minutes, our server walks up to the table beside us (knowing that we were there and were waiting about 40 minutes at this point) and apologizes for the wait for the table who was just sat down (5 minutes compared to 40). I was completely beside myself…. Was I being treated this way because I asked after 30 minutes for service? My friend and I just got up and left. I had my wedding reception at riptide as I’ve always really liked them. We will never be back to this location after this kind of treatment. I’m very disappointed and surprised.

What an awesome end to a beautiful day. After hiking for hours up to Bedwell Lake, we rewarded ourselves with a meal at a pub. Having never been there before, we did not know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by everything. Kind and helpful staff. Tasty and creative burgers. Awesome dessert. The best Sticky Toffee Pudding on the island to be exact! We will be back.

We dropped by here for dinner tonight and it was a decent experience. They pour a good pint of Guinness, and the calamari is really good. The fish tacos are flavourless, and not good. The chicken blt wrap is meh. My friend also have the black and blue burger, which is huge but only okay. Very messy to eat. Good place to grab a drink and some appies but wouldn’t return for mains.

Atmosphere was nice waitresses very friendly, food however was not good at all over cooked fish bater on verge of being burnt, fries were too thick for my liking ,but the desert was very very good! Will come back try something new????

Just the worst management. Was told to wait for a table. Was told that we would be waiting 10 minutes. By 40-50 minutes, it was pointless and we ended up leaving since we were still waiting for a table by that time. Might as well save your time and avoid the hassle going to this place. Still furious with the staff and how they manage things.

Great place to eat. It wasn't fully booked, so we were lucky to have a table for 4. There was a lot to choose from. Ordered a green curry which was very good. A lot of veggies and prawns. The rest had burgers and fries. Good staff and the ambiance was relaxed.

Great food and service. Had the clam and mussels in wine sauce. Yummy. Seafood fetichinni, apparently the best Alfredo sauce ever. And the black and blue burger, again a big hit. To follow a piece of their homemade Carmel cheesecake. So good we ordered another one. Service was fantastic. The waitress was always at our table when needed and fast service. Server #8? I'm sorry I didn't get her name. Would recommend.

Definitely not a pub!!! Upscale restaurant calling itself a pub. Wait to be seated,lots of 5 person tables open but had to wait for a smaller one.
