Awesome place for something quick and healthy! Love the ambience - it's open and clean and feels fresh. They focus on fresh ingredients and don't use preservatives much. A lot of menu items use acai and fresh fruit, like in their bowls and parfaits. They also do salads and sandwiches and have a great drink selection. This place is still new and I expect it will get busier and busier, but for now it seems like a hidden jewel. They do delivery through DoorDash and also provide catering services.

Had my first experience enjoying rio nectar for Lunch today! I had the Mango habanero chicken sandwich with the broccoli and cheddar soup. Small portions was my first thought, but it is so filling! I am currently half way through the soup and i am taking my time. This soup is so tasty! No nasty after taste, just pure yummy ingredients. I am so pleased with my lunch today!! I can't wait to go back! 10/10! Loved it.

As a born and raised Brazilian I say: the açaí is good! I didn't try the other things but I liked the pure açaí. I didn't blend with any other fruit, just topped with banana, granola and honey. Classic! I'm happy to have it near home. :)

Ordering via skip the dishes was painful. Rio offers a very small soup or salad with some sandwiches and to be able to select one you have to put it in the details of the order (how are the customers suppose to know that) Quality is 100% fresh so paying more was ok but the portions are disappointing. I feel like I ate only bread as there was very little meat in the sandwich and they sent a container with only drops of salad dressing in it. I would rather they sent nothing because it was a waste of plastic. The salad was a small sample size but 3 bites of freshness! We were looking for a go to place at work for lunch and this isn't it.

I've ate here every weekend the last month- great food! I really like the Angus beef provolone sandwich on a Ciabatta bun- delicious. Their smoothies are also great quality- they do not use any filler like water or ice- very healthy and tasty!

We went there this early afternoon ! We’ve been here a few times and have nothing but great experiences with the staff, the service and the food we have ordered. Our favourites are the açai bowls and smoothies as the kids love them the most . You guys provide such a great experience and the bowls are always such a refreshing snack/meal and it’s something you can’t find around here . Coming to Rio nectar is a treat for us and I tend to crave it often ! Glad you guys our located close by! Looking forward to eating our Açai root pints that we got today !

Have had the chicken mango habanero sandwich a few times, as well as the acai bowls and smoothies; all three are delicious and fresh. You can tell a lot of thought went into designing the menu and picking the ingredients. The sauces and dressings being house made is a great bonus that you'll notice. Rio also serves nitro coffee which is smooth and a treat to drink.

This place is very quickly becoming my favourite "fast food" joint in Cambridge. Clean, delicious real food and friendly staff. I love their mango habanero aioli! Look out for this place on skip the dishes and door dash as well - trust me a smoothie or acai bowl from Rio nectar is the best medicine for your hangover, not a burger.

Great place for healthier food. Sandwiches, salads and acai bowls are all good choices. Depending on who is working the time to prep your food may take a little longer than it should, but at least the food is worth the wait! The owners are friendly and helpful and it is nice to support local entrepreneurs!

So much YUM. If you like fresh food with fresh ingredients this is your place. I had two mini ham and cheese sliders which were so delicious and a quinoa bowl with chicken and avocado and chickpeas and tropical slaw and cucumbers and feta and so many delicious things. Love this food. Go try it.

Absolutely awful. The service was the worst I've ever had. The blonde worker was quite rude to me and unhelpful. All I had done was ask a few questions about allergy alerts and she gave me a bad attitude throughout my whole order. Once I received my food, I was disappointed with it because it was very cold and not presentable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I will never set foot in that place again.

Great for a quick bite. I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich and salad. The sandwich was very good and the salad was just enough to fill me up. Only suggestion would be some lettuce or something crunchy on the sandwich! Will definitely be going back.

IN LOVE !!! How did I not know this place existed in my own city. I feel as though I’ve been missing out. I do my best to avoid fast food, and always say “ugh why can’t any fast food places always serve real healthy food”. And end up going home with nothing lol. Not anymore! Can’t wait to try more. This is their kale ceasar salad. And I ordered a açai PB power parfait for my morning to go breakfast ???? my boyfriend has a sandwich too and he loved it. Best part is, they don’t serve anything with preservatives or processed ingredients. Everything is raw, natural, and super healthy! Thanks Rio Nectar. Can’t wait to return more and more!

I had a turkey avocado club and it was delicious! Very clean inside as well. My only concern was the portion size is small for the price, especially the side (soup or salad). Might work for a slim build person, but not very well suited for a 6'1" 225 pound man looking to feel full and eat healthy. Thought about adding a smoothie to my combo to make it more filling but it was almost $10 for a small.

Extremely Overpriced & Underwhelming food. Service was lackluster, but the staff was young and seemed inexperienced so I won't fault them on that. Ordered two sandwiches which were cold, that came with a stale brioche bun & the whole grain bread was spongy. The Acai Bowl was the only redeeming part of the experience as it was quite tasty. For 3 items ringing up to $40 after tax save your money and go somewhere else along the Cambridge strip and be satisfied by your meal.

During a visit in Puerto Rico, I had the opportunity to try an Acai bowl. This little gem in Cambridge had Acai bowls on their menu. It was delicious! The price is a little bit on the high side but it brought me right back to Puerto Rico so it was worth it. I didn't get a chance to try anything else on their menu but it sure looked good.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch cleanliness -OK, menu choice small. You have to order at the counter as there are no table menu's. We both ordered a Turkey bacon salad , which came in a plastic container like salads in a grocery store, [not impressed] also a plastic fork , yuck and one brown paper napkin. The turkey was a slice , set to one side of the container, spinach and lettuce plus two small slices of tomatoe and two slices of bacon. No salt or pepper at the table ,. This plus a tea and flavoured water the price came to over $30.00 Not impressed , and will not return, We both do not recommend this place.

Finally a quick and healthy place in Cambridge. I had the Rio Turkey Club with the chicken wild rice soup, and both were amazing! I also had the Acai parfait and its hands down the best Acai I've ever had. Hands down reccomend this place, and will definitely be back to try more!

Very well lit too. Tons of chairs & tables, plenty of place to pick to enjoy a sit down if wish to. In a popular, busy plaza BUT parking is a plenty. I was pleased with the flavours, as was my daughter. I recommend this place, for sure. Their menu looked absolutely divine & I can’t wait to return to check out their food options.

We finally had the chance to visit and decided on the Beefeater Angus sandwich and the Angus Beef & Provolone sandwich. Both were delicious! The quality and freshness of the ingredients really shone through. The staff were awesome and accommodated our food sensitivies without any question! Loved the interior design too. Visited for the first time today. Lunch with my daughter. Food was delicious. We were both annoyed by the fact that staff would not give us a glass of tap water when asked and directed to buy bottled water. I guess it isn't illegal, however I feel it is off-putting and rude. We spent a good amount of money on the food. What are we coming to when restaurants no longer give a glass of water with a meal?

Yesterday was my first time ordering from Rio and I will be back again. The food was delicious but the customer service is beyond any I have experienced before. I had ordered from Skip the Dishes but the driver grab the wrong order. Rio contacted me immediately to let me know AND delivered my order personally.....with all the correct PPE and distancing required :). With all the craziness going on right now it was nice to be treated so well. Thank you again :)......and she corralled my dog when she ran out of the house lolol

Start out by saying terrible service. Absolutely awful. The blonde employee was so rude to me, I had a couple questions about the menu items and she gave me such attitude. All workers seem unhappy to be there and do not care about the customers. Food was also not up to par. Came in plastic little containers, no better than any grocery store sandwich. Personally, I've eaten better food off of the floor. Terrible place, I would never step foot into this restaurant.

I’ve been to Rio Nectar on a few occasions now and all I can really say is they never disappoint! Each time, I’ve tried something new on the menu and I can’t even pick a favourite because they are all amazing. The açaí bowls are beautiful, delicious and filling - I had the Power PB; another visit I had this in smoothie form because it was so good but I still wanted to try something else! Both equally great! The sliders are the perfect size to order a few and get a great assortment of flavours. Today I tried the BBQ chicken sandwich and the only thing I was upset with was when it was gone because I wished I had 5 more since it was so good! Will be returning many more times in the future and looking forward to tasting more menu items!

Very healthy food for all diets. Important to note; the store owner has an inspiring story and mission. I recommend this spot to health conscious people and more importantly those who are not as diet conscious. If you are hesitant to approach the healthy food culture, this is a great place to start. Supportive environment, meat, veggie and vegan options and you will leave feeling full. The only constructive advice from me is to look at earth friendly plates, utensils etc..

Heavenly.........just passed by this sweetest little shop and had the gal make me a smoothy. Gotta say this is the BEST smoothy I've ever tasted. While I was there we got to talking about the bowls, so I ordered one of those and will try it tomorrow morning. Just pop into your freezer til tomorrow the gal in the shop said - so hoping it will taste as good. Store was super clean, staff was super nice and friendly - definately going back! Was a delicious pick me up in the afternoon instead of a Timmies and so much healthier.

I love the food here and eat here quite often BUT I placed my order online for a faster pickup since I have a toddler with bronchitis. I placed the order, I got the confirmation email and it said 15 minutes. By the time I got here it was 30 minutes and it still wasn't even started. The place is packed in here, with dine in customers and even though I placed my order prior to coming in, I have had to sit here and wait for everyone that just arrived to get their order. No point on ordering ahead at all.

I love this place. I've been to the Cambridge location several times and I was very excited to find out the Guelph location was opening. Just tried the Guelph location and it was amazing. Staff is always great and smoothies are delicious. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a healthy treat!

Finally somewhere that understands food AND customer service. I have never been to a place that has gone the extra mile like Rio Nectar did for me. I tried their Guelph location for the first time a few weeks ago, the meal was incredible. Full of flavour, and leaves you full with out that gut rot feeling. Tastes like dessert but the ingredients where actually great for you. You can tell the food is not full of garbage products also. I reordered again the 2nd time and the staff actually remembered that I have an allergy to Mango and asked me if I wanted to take out the Mango in my Acai bowl since I forgot it was in the bowl. Both times I was greeted with a smile and a friendly conversation. Both times I felt welcomed, not just a customer. I hope this place expands so more people will recognize their products and service or more companies follow suit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! Thank you.

Great gem for fresh lunch on-the-go! I usually treat a friend/colleague and everyone is pleased. Have ordered here three times now for take away lunch (rio BLT, turkey swiss, beef provolone sandwiches). Food is always ready, travels well, fresh and not saugy, and such good flavors!! I'd recommend the 12-grain or ciabatta bread and I always regret not upsizing my smoothie to a large. They've even brought the delivery out to my car during the pandemic. Really appreciate this food option in Cambridge. ❣

I won a gift card to Rio nectar because I entered a draw as a new patient at Riverside dental on Coronation Boulevard in Cambridge. Not only was my dental experience great!, I was lucky enough to end up here at one of the finest eateries I have ever been to. The food was amazing!!! I sampled one aspect from each section of their menu and ended up with a six course meal fit for a King. I Ate like a king!!.. I can't believe they've been here for a year and I only just found them. I was actually in the Tim Horton's drive through line and looking around saw this in the plaza and thought it might be faster to grab lunch here than waiting in the long line. I was right and I was shockingly, pleasantly surprised at what I found. Healthy whole foods, nothing processed, nothing fake and incredibly tasty. There's a large and diverse menu of sandwiches, soup, salads. If you have a food program you're trying to follow, I'm pretty sure there are things on their menu that you will find accommodate your healthy eating. I've been on Keto for a while and I opted for an entrée salad that was so incredibly tasty. The turkey in it wasn't a processed deli meat it was the turkey you'd roast for Thanksgiving. Who knew we had a place to grab healthy food on the go? You have to try this place!!

i normally always order off skip the dishes but this time I decided to come into the restaurant, I was so surprised to see the amount of options for sandwiches, drinks, salads etc. And everything tastes like your just eating real food! We love Rio , it’s high quality ingredients which is extremely important with all the fillers and chemicals that many restaurants add in their meals to save costs. Too Pricey. All of their smoothies are the same colour which means they are saving money and charging you more. Their healthy smoothie is purple and not green as it should be because they use a lot of berries and not much of the other stuff and by the time you are done you just spent $20 on a drink. There are other new places that can serve up a drink with all the good stuff for less. Rio has good food, but i dont eat here often. I ordered a bbq chicken bowl a month ago and paid for extra chicken, but in total there were only a few shavings and barely anything in the bowl. This place is a ripoff, go somewhere else. Its appalling when I got to healthy places and they feel they can charge an arm an a leg for a piece of nature. Update to your response below: I dont eat processed food. I order meats from Tru Local and have it shipped to my door. I still think youre pricey and not worth it. The bowl I got had a few chick peas with 2 tablespoons of quinoa and a ton of bbq sauce. I can afford and do buy quinoa and other healthy stuff on a regular basis.

Really disappointed. 1.) I usually get the Acai bowls and asked how many grams of sugar is in the Acai itself, and both employees didn't know. As a company that focuses on healthy eating, I'm surprised that none of the staff had any kind of knowledge of how much sugar goes into their products. 2. After telling the employees that I can't have too much sugar and ordering a acai parfait, they put SO much honey in it (more sugar!). Good for delicious acai bowls but be weary as the amount of sugar can totally outweigh the health benefits.

Terrible experience....Despite being a repeat customer, I shared my comments on a very poor quality sandwich with the management/owner, which lacked several menu ingredients, as listed on the menu board., such as cheese, just to mention one and at $13.99 felt the value on this sandwich was poor. Rather than address the specifics and make it right... the owner justified the price based on their quality ( while not addressing, I was missing listed ingredients) which I get... but then suggested I would be better off as a " fast food customer" rather than a Rio Nectar customer. Really ....that's how you treat a repeat customer. I will take my business elsewhere. There are many great farm to table restaurants in this city, so perhaps Rio may want to polish up on their customer service before they become yet another statistic. Very disappointing.

My favourite spot in Cambridge. They make everything fresh and it all taste yummy. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for a healthy breakfast or lunch! Definitely worth the wait when they are preparing your food. The staff is always so nice to me and they work really hard. My favourite thing to order is the classic açai bowl and a turkey kale salad as a wrap!
