We use Ernie's for corporate events throughout the year and they always deliver an amazing spread. Our most recent event was very last minute, and Ernie made it happen (with 10 more people added to the guest list the night before!!) I'm so appreciative of the efforts and professionalism from him and his delivery staff. And the food is AWESOME. Juicy chicken, the beef on a bun was delicious, the cupcakes were home made and BEAUTIFUL. We also do our corporate Christmas dinner through him every year, and we will certainly continue!

My man Ernie and his crew catered my cousin's wedding, and ho boy, was it delicious. BBQ beef-on-a-bun was amazing, the chicken was tender and there was a variety of other menu items. He was friendly and pleasant to deal with, and his crew helped clean up. Highly recommend them.

Wow wow wow. I was recently photographing a wedding where Ernies Mobile BBQ was catering and it was FANTASTIC. They roasted a whole pig for the wedding. The pig was juicy and the accompaniments were delicious. They had an offering of a few different sauces, the hickory sauce was my favorite!! A+ and I would recommend to anyone.

First off the food through out the year is all very tasteful, you get the full bbq experience for any event, during any time of year! The food is exceptional from the pulled pork, brisket, steaks, turkey, the various sides offered, all the amazing fresh tasting salads and more. All the meals are carefully prepped & cooked to perfection for any event, I have had the pleasure of using this catering service more then once through out different events and seasons, each and everytime the food was great, the service was fabulous, very punctual, kindly replied through emails quick and efficiently, the prices are fair, myself as a family, supporting another fully family owned buisness this one has got it all, highly recommend them!! And a huge shout out to the whole crew behind Ernie they always smiling, friendly, and working hard to make sure your event big or small is a hit!

Ernie's Mobile Whole Hog Barbecue Catering provided great service! With short notice, Ernie and his team came through with pork on a bun for 250 students at Prairie College. Contact was easy and friendly, delivery was punctual and hot (even after 1hr20min. for delivery) and the pork was delicious with plenty for seconds. I highly recommend them to cater future events! Thank you greatly.

We used Ernie for our wedding in August. He was very flexible in allowing us to make any changes to our order within 2 weeks of our event (very reasonable time allowance), and he was helpful when we were trying to decide how much food to bring in. The food was absolutely amazing! My only constructive feedback is that a) he was difficult to communicate with, reply time for emails was very slow. I understand it is a busy company but perhaps it may be necessary to hire an extra body for correspondence with clients. b) we were told that if we brought our own containers, we could take the leftovers. A BUNCH of people ended up leaving after the ceremony and not staying for dinner (almost half!!). But before asking us how we'd like to package things up, they began loading their truck with all our food. My husband had to run from the head table to confront them (during speeches, we had to put speeches on hold while this was sorted out), and when he asked about getting the leftovers, Ernie longer believed we should get them (liabilities to his company for consumption if we improperly stored the food). Which is totally fine and understandable, except we were told we could take the leftovers when we signed the contract, and over-ordered just in case, thinking at least we would get the leftovers! Overall, my guests were very pleased, well fed, and raved about food. He did end up letting us take the leftovers, too. I would give 5 stars except I think Ernie's Mobile BBQ should hire a few people for a customer relations role, as it seems he has his hands full in other areas, and customer service is lacking.

Ernie and his team catered our wedding this past September and did an absolutely fabulous job! In addition to being so warm and gracious with all our guests, they arrived punctually after driving through a snow storm to our venue out in the country and had everything set up quickly so no one was waiting long to eat. We had so many compliments on the food - the roast pork, chicken and sides were all amazing and plentiful - and many compliments about how friendly he and his wife were as they catered the event. They also had everything cleaned up after dinner very efficiently. Even though we missed the food tasting dates prior to the wedding, Ernie met with me and my fiancee over the summer to go over our selected menu, showed us around his kitchen, provided all the details we needed for our event, and followed through perfectly with everything discussed. We would definitely recommend their service based on the terrific food, customer service and reliability!

Ernie's provided a turkey buffet for our employee Christmas Dinner for 80+ employees. The feedback received from employees was that the food was food was delicious and plentiful. Would highly recommend this business. Ernie provided catering to our daughter's country wedding of 225 people. The food was delicious, most of the meal was gluten-free as per our request. Hot food was hot, cold food cold. Had the chicken and ribs option, so tender and flavorful. Prices were the most reasonable that we could find. Liked him so much that our son will be using this caterer for his wedding in a few weeks. Attended Ernie's taste testing evening ahead of time and were thoroughly impressed.

Absolutely everything about Ernie's Mobile BBQ was amazing! We hired them for our daughter's wedding reception. It was held out in Bowden, AB. The service, staff and the food was excellent. They were punctual and very proficient. We had chicken and ribs, mixed vegetables, spinach salad, coleslaw and roasted baby potatoes and cupcakes for desert. Again the food was fresh, done to perfection and outstanding! There was absolutely no room for improvement and I highly recommend them. Thank you Ernie and Staff!!!

Yesterday, Ernie's Mobile Barbecue catered our traditional turkey dinner at Bishop Kidd Junior High School here in Calgary. We ordered food for 350 but actually served 368 people and had lots left over. The meal consisted of delicious turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberries, vegetables, Caesar salad, coleslaw, buns, bottled water and cupcakes and squares for dessert. The meal was lovely and hot! Our students and guests all remarked that everything tasted SO homemade! Thank you to Ernie and Margaret for great service, fantastic food and just an all round positive experience. We'll be booking you again next year!

We had Ernie’s Mobile BBQ cater our wedding in Cremona, AB on July 27 and it was amazing! After being invited to a tasting, where we were able to taste all the food that Ernie’s team offered, we didn’t hesitate to book them. We had the pulled pork, baked salmon, Caesar salad, coleslaw, cheesy scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, cookies, candy bar, and all the fixings (buns, pickles, peppers, sauces) at our wedding all for a very reasonable price. There was so much food and plenty for guests who wanted seconds. We were very happy that they also supplied the plates, cutlery and clean-up staff so that we didn’t have to worry about renting plates or hiring extra help. Ernie was so wonderful to work with, he was quick to respond to emails (even during their busy catering season) and ensured that all details were covered. The team arrived with plenty of set-up time and left no trace after they cleaned up. Oh, and the food was both hot and absolutely delicious! Both us and our venue (The Heritage Centre in Cremona) would highly recommend them for any caterer function!

I hired Ernie for my wedding and boy did he deliver. It was on time, hot, and most important it was the best food I had ever had at a wedding. We got so many compliments on the food from all of our guests. We had Ernie's mobile BBQ for our daughters wedding on June 22 and I have to say the food was incredible. The pork from the pig roast was juicy and delicious. All of our guests were very impressed with the food and everyone was full and said the food was delicious. There was lots to eat and more then enough food for everyone who wanted seconds. It is great that Ernie supplies the plates and cutlery that way a person doesn't have to worry about that on a busy wedding day. Ernie is very reasonably priced and is well worth it. We would definitely use Ernie again and I highly recommend if you need a caterer for your event Ernie's Mobile BBQ is who you should use.

We had Ernie's cater a backyard wedding in July 2015. It was absolutely amazing! he was easy to approach and came around to ask people how they were doing - which I was not expecting at all! We had ordered more steaks than needed but they were such a hit that everyone ate heartily! I would (and will) recommend Ernie's to anyone I know that is looking for a great caterer and even better food!

Ernie brought a whole hog to a 50 th birthday party we hosted. The meat was so tender and delicious! All of the guests loved all of the sauces. He was great to work with and his team was wonderful at our event. They knew exactly what to do and were very independent. I hired Ernie for my wedding a couple weeks ago. They were punctual and the food was great, the chicken was amazing and the prices were reasonable. We did get a couple comments that the pork was dry (we both agreed), but there were a lot of sauces to choose from so it wasn't a big deal. The food fit into our picnic theme and is what we envisioned for our wedding. Our menu was: whole hog cut onsite, chicken pieces (delicious), caesar salad, beans, coleslaw, buns and cupcakes (yum!). I would have probably gave them 5 stars if Ernie wasn't the one I was corresponding with over email. I think this company needs to hire someone else to correspond with their customers as Ernie's emails are hard to read, his tone can be interpreted as rude/condescending and he would get confused easily. The one thing I was looking forward to the most after the wedding was over was not having to deal with Ernie anymore. I am so sorry if this seems rude but I am just being honest. Their food was great and everything worked out, but there were times when we would "joke" about them not showing up and what our backup plan would be. I wrote an honest review because as a bride I booked vendors pretty much based on reviews. I hope you take this with a grain of salt and that if you consider hiring Ernie - you will have great food, but expect sub-par correspondence.
