The magic of Umami is how it is personalized and customized to your specific needs. I am a pescatarian with numerous food allergies. My wife is also a pescatarian, but we both enjoy different types of foods. We really put Michael to the 'grills' for a few months by asking him to cook us a mostly organic menu that was healthy, tasty, and catered to both our individual tastes and needs. Michael came through with flying colours. He was always enthusiastic, accommodating, and relished the challenge. The food was delicious but healthy. I found myself looking forward to each and every meal. Michael is a master of his craft and I give him my highest recommendation.

To have Michael cook for you means that you are guaranteed a gorgeous (seriously, each dish is a work of art) and delicious meal in the comfort of your own home. My guests and I are always floored by the quality of his food and service. He is so friendly, easy to work with, and accommodating to any dietary restriction/preference. For so many people on the go “what’s for dinner” poses a daily dilemma. Meeting Michael solved that for us. With so many incredible menu choices it’s like eating out every day. Most importantly, Michael incorporates healthy eating in all his dishes which means fresh produce, no/low salt, organic meat/fish as desired Our introductory meal, the Halibut/pea ravioli was to die for! Three thumbs up! The fish done to perfection; ravioli wth pea puree just right to the teeth; veggies nice and crunchy; lemon beurre blanc sauce bang on! One of the best meals we’ve ever had. The serving size was more than enough and presentation so much better than in some pricey restaurants. Some of our family favourites from Michael’s menu are the Shrimp and lemon fennel risotto [rice just right, not chewy, not mushy]; the chicken picatta [with lots of capers in the sauce], the Sous vide rosemary pork with apple reduction sauce and the Bay rub spiced roast chicken. Michael is very open to preparing cuisines from other cultures and will easily adapt “Grandma’s” recipes that have been handed down from generations to accommodate your personal nostalgic culinary needs.
