This is bar none the best Greek food I have ever had! The service was so great as well! We ordered the Greek Platter which is 'for 2' but 3 of us ate from this platter and we still had leftovers to take home. The dessert was AMAZING!

Chicken is so nicely grilled, yet tender and juicy. The Tzatziki sauce is to die for!!!! Chrysi and her team are also super friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and be coming back.

This has to be my FAVORITE Greek restaurant for delivery. The food is fresh and you can tell it’s got that home-cooked taste to it. They don’t cheap out on anything there. Every single time I order from this place the food is fantastic. From the lamb, to mousakka, to chicken souvlaki, to the ribs and lasagna even their desserts are fantastic. You can’t go wrong with their entire menu. In the area there’s a few other greek places that I have personally ordered from and they are completely disappointing after ordering from Argo! It’s like night and day! Argo’s servings are bigger, the food tastes better, and the quality of food is really noticeable, and even the presentation is better. I’ve heard Argo is not a restaurant that you would eat inside , I don’t know about that as I just use it for delivery I’ve ordered from them and they’ve delivered it to me personally and I’ve also ordered from SkipTheDishes. I’ll give them five stars for a Greek restaurant! Totally recommend them!

Look, honesty is important. This restaurant is amazing, quant, cozy and well looked after. There is a sense of style with attention to decorum being a noticeable priority. Friendly and approachable staff were eager to chat, share stories and offer a smile... very cool. The food was well made from quality choice cuts and had rich flavour throughout the meal. We ordered one of their pizzas which had ample and fresh toppings and the platter for two. Both were amazing. My personal favourite was the mousaka. High quality, priced as expected. The only thing I can possibly say that could be considered less-than-perfect is the blue neon "Greek" sign that's firmly attached to the middle of the dominating wall. It sort of looms over you as you eat, casting it's azure gaze upon you, judging you and saying all the things you want to hear. That sign needs to be banished to Hades ;) I recommend you visit them. Order a ton of tasty, well made food but be sure to bring sun glasses and SPF 120.

The portion sizes are worth it for sure! The side of pasta was literally a meal of its own, potato was way better than i expected as i normally dont like baked potato at all but the seasoning made it a pleasant experience. Definitely have to remember to come back!

SHH!!! Keep this place a secret, for your family and friends only! The food is fabulous! The service is great, featuring take-out, however the creative decor and engaging woman owner attract limited and shared dine-in, my favourite! Can't wait to order a home delivery Greek (not Italian) pizza and compare it to the old Zorro's, my 30 year standard in East Vancouver. SHH!!!

We went here a couple of times. The first time we visited this resturant, the older lady in the front counter was rude, it ruined our mood that we decided to leave. The second time we came here, the same lady was at the counter seemed to be less moody, however I think 'Hi' or 'hello' is a word that is non exsistant to her. We only came back because we received a gift card from here and wanted to use it. I can say we enjoyed our food, however the meh attitude from the lady (the owner I assume) is enough to make us look elsewhere. I think this place is fine if you are looking for decent food with minimal service, however if looking to sit in I would recommend to look elsewhere.

Very happy with my experience with Argo! We placed a catering order for approx 14 and everything was perfect! The food was amazing - delicious, fresh, hot and plentiful - and very authentic too! Chrysi was super accommodating and helpful with our order, and we were pleased with everything. Our guests loved all the food and we had lots of leftovers to enjoy for days afterwards. Ordered Take out. The lamb and chicken souvlaki is the best I've ever had. My whole family enjoyed their meal. We also had the roast lamb which was also great. Taziki sauce n pitta rice and potatoes everything was excellent. Spanakopita was not the best but everything else was fantabulous so 5 starts my new favorite Greek Place!!!

Come for the food but not the ambience or service. I've been here a few times and the food is consistently delicious. Their souvlaki plates are huge. The ambience is very much like a diner, though: only 2 sit down tables and one long raised table with stools (no backing or padding on the seats!). The other sad issue is the inconsistent service. The first time it was a young girl who served us and she was very friendly. The next time, though, a much older woman with dark hair dyed bright red and bangs... She was horrible! She never greeted us and when paying just gave the interac machine and took payment and left without saying anything!! Terrible.

Attempted to place a pickup order here once. The app said it would be 12-22 minutes for pickup. I got there in about 25 minutes and they hadn't started my order yet. I argued about their pickup times and asked if I could cancel after they said they'd start it immediately. They said no, and I said fine and let me know it would be ready in 15 minutes. I continued walking my dog in the rain and came back. They said they thought I canceled, which I was under the impression I couldn't. I asked for a manager, and the lady that came out was smiling and belittling me saying I was in the wrong. If you want to endure terrible customer service and overpriced Greek food, go here. But I would never recommend this place to anyone. EDIT: It was not a bad day. After I asked to cancel and was told I couldn't I went for a walk to wait for my food. The fact you 'assumed' I canceled is the issue we are facing. There was no foul language until I was leaving, because you were being unreasonable. Needless to say, you didn't honor my order and just assumed I canceled. You can be as nice as you want, but you were just outright rude to me when my order was still active.

Fantastic Greek food! Everything is made to order including their Greek salad - tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers and onions were all fresh, crisp and tasty! The lamb skewer was loaded with meat and didn't need any embellishment. The prawns were amazing as well. Service and staff were exceptionally friendly. Excellent Greek Food in huge portions. You can see the quality in the ingredients. The Roast Lamb and Moussaka are off the charts but the rest of the menu is fantastic as well. You must try this place. It's not a big restaurants so larger Groups should reserve ahead of time.

We ordered 2 Baked Lasagna with Meat Sauce and it was very watery and the taste was below average. The Garlic bread was not great as its a powdered base garlic spread not actual garlic butter. I do agree with the Moussaka review and NO not all based meat sauces have cinnamon in it and thats a fact. Oh and by the way we are Greek so we know Moussaka. Oh and one more thing way over priced for a pretty much take out place And to add to the response.....reason why the lasagna and the Moussaka are your best sellers is because the people that eat them cant tell the difference between a bad pasta dish to a good one lol

Came down for lunch from Burnaby General. The food was really good, better then expected. Very tiny small place with only a few tables to sharing a table with someone else seems to be the norm. I would have been happier with a smaller portion and a lower price but I'd you like big portions this should satisfy. If you enjoy local neighborhood family restaurants iber the big chains this is a good one to support.

We recently had a hiccup with some a different order and some significant miscommunication but decided to give Argo a second chance and they once again proved while it's our go - to take out food. My husband and I love their pizza. It's delicious. The flavour is exceptional; We spent a lot of time in Santorini and Athens in October and when we returned we tried very hard to find food that would replicate the amazing Greek meals we ate in Greece. Argo does just that. The food is just outstanding. When you order from them you know you're getting authentic Greek food and flavours.

Small little local Greek joint serving standard greek fare including souvlaki and gyros. Had a chicken souvlaki the first time and though the flavour was good, the chicken was a little dry - however portions were massive! Went back again to try the chicken gyros which was excellent. Will be back again to try a few other items. Solid lunch spot. May want to consider ordering in advance for pickup as it gets pretty busy around lunch.

Probably one of my favorite Greek places in the lower mainland. Super fresh and the prices are pretty fair for large portions of food. The location is inside a strip mall and there aren't many seats, it's like a hidden gem. I would recommend take out if you are looking to get comfortable and take your time with your meal. The Calamari here is amazing!

I can't say I've ever had such consistent quality from a restaurant the flatbread is always soft tasting like it just came out of the oven and lightly grilled. Most of the good Greek places around have shut down and most out there today are run by those other than Greeks, don't get me wrong, I love a good Shawarma, even a Donair or Kebab now and again but Persian "Greek" food usually is pretty blah...bordering on meh... So glad I noticed this place tucked away in a strip mall on Canada Way between Boundary & Smith Ave. It is run by a nice Greek family...well, the ladies and young man in the front are very nice, Pappa in the kitchen looks a little grumpy???? LOL... but he is an awesome chef and most good chefs are known to be ummmm???? well let's just say..."high maintenance"???? The place is more of a take out but there's a few seats where you can eat in. Sadly no Ouzo or Retsina are available. I've tried Souvlakis, Lemon chicken soup (Avgolemano), pizza and all are consistently very good and they make one of the best Tzatzikis I've had, nice and thick, not overly garlicky and thin like a lot out there, if you like Ekmeck (custardy rice pudding "cake") the version here is quite deeelish. Give them a try for some pretty fine real Greek take out.

I read on google review and tried this place for the first time. OMG! I never knew that Greek food can be this tasty! I had a roast lamb and hubby had a calamari dinner. Rice was so flavourful! Lamb was soft and not burnt or dry! Portion was generous! Calamari was lighted breaded and fried in clean oil! You can tell that's been cooked with passion! The owner came tell us that it was supposed to be a takeout restaurant but now with other demands , they branched out to have sit in area. I'm not surprised. And she also gave us a Kataifi dessert that is so light and perfect sweetness. You got to try it here!

Pleasantly surprised by this Greek spot tucked away in a mini mall on Canada Way. The skewers were huge and meaty but still tender and juicy. The platter is a lot of food and pretty much everything was on point... from the seasoned potatoes to the thick and creamy tzatziki and hummus. The Ten Rich Toppings pizza is great if you like a loaded pizza.

The atmosphere and food were great; so glad they don't put lettuce in the greek salad! But I was really shocked and disappointed to learn everything comes in throw away containers. Even if you eat in. If I had known I would be contributing that much garbage and recycling in one sitting, I would've eaten elsewhere. When I asked, they justified it by promoting themselves as a "take-out" place, not a restaurant but if you've got tables and you're providing the option to "eat-in", where's the line? Really not responsible behaviour when you're a brand new restaurant and our world needs all the help it can get!! I wish I could but my conscience won't let me eat here again.

Revised 12/27/18 We reached out to Argo to see if they would rectify the previous disaster and the woman, Chrysi, attempted to re-gain us as a regular customer. We were provided with our order free of charge. The reason we regularly order from Argo is because their pizza is phenomenal. One of the best in Burnaby. We received our correct order and it was delicious as always. We will continue ordering from Argo and hope that the experience we had was a one-off and we will be provided with wonderful food once again. -------------------------- Argo Greek DOES NOT CARE about you as a customer. They use a delivery company to deliver and the woman who took the order (not the regular woman that answers the phone) seemed flustered and obviously didn't understand my order even after asking her to reconfirm it. As someone who orders once a week from them, the ordering company completely screwed up the order. Was there any rectifying it? No. It was take your order or just cancel it. Good night. No one from the restaurant called to apologize. They left this poor delivery man who had no affiliation to the company to apologize for them. And heaven forbid you call when the male Greek owner is on. He's as rude as can be and clearly doesn't care about you or your order.

NOT WHAT WAS EXPECTED! Despite what many reviews here suggest, this place is a take out restaurant. What a disappointment to arrive with our friends and find the single table in the place "reserved" and being told that their business is primarily takeout. According to the person behind the counter this is a common mistake for people who have sought the place out based on Google reviews. Seeing the active takeout business going on it must be popular and good food ... but don't arrive expecting to find a table and usual restaurant service.

The food is alright but tried it few times, always makes us thirsty. Also, never order thru UBER from this place...Argo deliberately jacks up the price!!! You are paying up to $5 extra...so a souvlaki from $21 to $25.. crazy pricing ...other Greek restaurants on Uber keep honest pricing regardless; they do not increase their pricing because they are on these delivery apps. Customers aren't really saving anything with these restaurants that up their prices. There's other options on Kingsway (Ramie's), Hastings (Socrates), fraser (Nammos). They are better bang for buck and tasty.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in the area, I try to go there in every chance that I have. You can't go wrong with anything here, everything is so delicious and portions are great. Prices are really fair. They offer lunch options and dinner options. This is a small location but full of flavor and full of friendly staff there. I really wanted to like this place, because I love Greek food. I ordered the moussaka and it was the worst moussaka I have had in my life. It tasted like they put cinnamon in it. Gross. The rice sucked, potato was not good either. The salad was ok. I could not even finish the moussaka because it was so bad! Way overpriced too since it was $22. I won't be back, unfortunately.

Our new favourite Greek restaurant! We ordered and picked up on Christmas Eve. Calamari, lamb shoulder and lamb souvlaki. Everything was delicious and the calamari was still crispy and not soggy. They asked us to call 10min ahead so they could fry it up fresh. We had 3 orders of it. Turned out perfect! Lamb souvlaki was very flavorful. I loved my lamb shoulder; slow roasted with just enough fat on it to keep it nice and juicy. I really like that they used mostly cardboard type containers which are more environmental than styrofoam. That's important especially for the calamari because other places use styrofoam and many times we've opened it to find the styrofoam has melted due to hot calamari being put in straight from the fryer. Gross, not to mention how much made it into the food even though you can't see it? There were some styrofoam containers for rice and potatoes. I do understand it's a balance with costs and restaurants are struggling in this pandemic. I do appreciate it is all. This was our second time ordering from here and we will definitely order from here again. The first time we ordered through Uber Eats but this time we ordered for pickup so the restaurant could keep the revenue. Support local restaurants!

Nice restaurant. Provide on time pickup service. If you like Greek food , you must try their roast lamb or any other items. With each order , you receive Greek salad and pita bread. You will be full after eating this excellent food. For sure I will go there again.

Tasty and convenient place for an authentic Greek meal. Chicken souvlaki is tender and juicy, which is sometimes difficult to achieve with chicken breast. Calamari and spanakopita are also excellent. Meals are a large portion size - I like the rice best but it’s a nice touch to have potatoes, Greek salad, tzatziki, and pita along with it. Have eaten-in at their casual seating spots and also had delivery. I experienced great service with both. Give this place a try and come hungry.

The interior of the restaurant is well decorated and looks very new. However, the service leaves something to be desired. We ordered hot water for my grandmother to drink, and an older lady with purple hair brought back warm water from the tap to drink. We thought it was funny and realized she made a simple mistake. We asked her again for boiled water and she made a clicking noise with her mouth, sneered at us, and made it seem like it was preposterous to order hot water to drink. After her responses, I thought my dad and her was going to have an argument then and there. Service was never done with a smile and I felt uncomfortable being served by her. The friendliest person there was a large man wearing sunglasses inside dropping food off. The roasted lamb I had was delicious and the rice was average. All the potatoes served with our meals were extremely salty but we didn't bother bringing that up with the waitress in case she finds another excuse to scoff at us. TLDR: Service: 2/5 - Even worse than the indifference another customer has experienced. Food: 5/5 Meats, 3/5 everything else I would not eat-in again. Edit: In reply to the owner's response to my post, I think you may be mistaking us for another group of customers. We never spoke with the owner, nor were we offered dessert. I am now surprised you had another hot water incident with another group of customers.

Mixed feelings about this place. First time had roast lamb, me and friends enjoyed it alot. Went back for lunch and ordered beef sovlaki and wasn't wasn't great. Tough and hard to eat. Sides were OK. I'll try again, hopefully will be better or maybe stick with chicken. Edit : I've been back a few times now and has been always great

The place is tiny. Kinda of an eat and go kind of place. We ordered a platter for two and the cashier lady said it is big and can feed 3. She was right. Just enough for 3. Tried the ekmek which is like a tiramisu but is considered a bread pudding. Can be sweet for some but i have a sweet tooth :) (recommend sharing it). Overall, tasty food, tender meat in a small establishment. Slightly pricy but worth the taste.

We arrived with 4 adults and 4 kids and did not realize that it was primarily a takeout place. I should have read the reviews more thoroughly. They were still so accommodating and patient with us as we sat down to eat. The food was great and I highly recommend. But it is not a full service/sit down restaurant so it is best to respect this as they do not have the front of the house staff to support this. Will order takeout from them in the future. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Argo Greek cuisine is truly a great place to order pick up from. Small and cozy front of house and very helpful family. Good food, great taste. They give large portions that are really worth trying. The Greek salad is fresh and well balanced. The calamari was very good and had a crispy texture. I would definitely eat and order from there again.

Food is usually great however I tried to order take out over the phone but the lady working there has horrible customer service and is very rude. All I want is just to order food, she doesn't have to raise her voice at me. Would rather order from another Greek restaurant with better service. Will never order from there again. Update: Just tried Socrates near by. Customer service was awesome and their food is amazing! I would recommend to go there instead.

Restaurant served succulent chicken souvlaki with rice and a greek salad and a potato along with the traditional tzatziki sauce. Lamb and shrimp entrees were excellent as well however the shrimp were literally swimming in half a pound of butter. When asked if there was a restroom for patrons, we were asked to use the one at the local Subway restaurant. How is it legal to operate a sit down restaurant in BC without a restroom being provided to customers? Also there is no table service which is crazy since there are only three tables to manage. Food is excellent, service is below standard.

We've ordered delivery 3 times in the last 3 months or so. Each time, the food really hits the spot! We haven't ordered a huge variety from their menu because we keep craving the calamari dinner, lamb souvlaki and roast lamb dinner. Their food is really flavourful and fresh. The portions are quite generous and each dinner entree is usually 2 meals worth. Sorry there are no pictures of the food because we usually can't wait to dig in!

OVER PRICED! LOW QUALITY FOOD! Had stomache issue after eating. Calamari wasn't fresh ! And tasted below average. Lamb and prawn skewers were both over cooked and over salted. Only 3 tables here and it has a bit of a food court vibe. Pay first and anyone can join you at your table. Luckily I enjoyed our guests. Waitress forgot an item and also weren't very attentive or friendly. The only thing I really enjoyed was the lemon potatoe and salad! Very disappointed for the amount we paid

This place had been on my list of places to try for some time. When we picked up our pizza, we noticed the box was very wet at the bottom. The pizza was soft and felt undercooked. Interestingly, when I reheated the remaining slices in the toaster oven the next day, it was very good. So I guess it just needed to be in the oven for a little longer.

I went to this place for the first time because of the good reviews. The food was great but worst customer service. The older lady(I think she was the owner) was standing at the cashier when we walked in (the place was empty), she didn't even say hi, just nodded her head. she didn't even talk to us at all when she was taking our order and never came to us to see how is the food or if we need anything. She was so rude and definitely not going back there again!!

After trying a few greek places, this is by far the best greek I've had so far. The lamb skewer is excellent, portion is huge. The main dish is lacking in veggies a bit, but I guess that's what the salad is for. Rice and potatos are full of flavour. A shame they don't open on sundays as well, I actually wanted to get some for my mom on mother's day, maybe next time.

I just had lunch delivered from Argo and I am pleased! Roast lamb was so juicy and tender I could cut it apart with a fork. I was so eager I ripped into it before I got a chance to take a photo for this review. It came with fresh Greek salad, fluffy pita bread, a baked potato (skin peeled) and a generous heaping of rice which was very flavorful. Calamari appetizer is big and easy to share. Baklava came in two large pieces, also easy to share. It was crispy and sweet. A very satisfying meal! I look forward to ordering here again.

We walked up to the counter to order and the woman asked if we wanted food to go, we said no it's to stay and she said no it's a fast food restaurant not a dine in. we were perplexed, there's clearly tables, and chairs, though small the seating area is visible and it was 2 pm in the afternoon.l and completely empty. So we skipped this place to enjoy the other food options along the way. Haven't been back since. Sad considering I love Greek food. Update edit: just thanking the owner for their time to reach out, however it didn't rectify anything.

Portion sizes are generous. Kalamari appetizer is great. Chicken gyro is good (not as good as Sweet Greek which is now gone). Greek salad still isn't as good as Neighbour's Restaurant. Roast lamb dinner is great. This is better as a takeout place. Friendly staff.

Have only tried the chicken slouvlaki and it has been amazing every time. The rice is extremely tasty, the chicken is cooked beautifully, and the potato's are delicious. Only thing is the wait time for take out is super long. Waited about 15 extra minutes past expected time. Would've given five stars if this wasn't the case.

This is from last week. Horrible, arrogant service. Restaurant sign says they are open till 9pm. The 2 of us got there at 8:30pm and the lady (I think she owns the place) said it’s 8:30pm. We said we know it’s 8:30pm and we are ready to order and eat. She said it’s 8:30pm again. I asked her if she means that we would have to leave the restaurant at 9pm even if we are in the middle of our dinner. She she smiled and shrugged her shoulders. She was arrogant and being a jerk. It was shocking service from the arrogant owner. This was our first time wanting to give this place a try. Forger her/this restaurant. Go to Nammos (best moussaka in town) on Fraser street instead or My Greek in Coquitlam where the food is cheaper and superb quality.

Best Greek food we've ever had. Their pizzas are better than other Italian or pizza places. Portions are very generous. Order ahead because they're not fast with your order, probably a good thing as it means its all made to order and not sitting under a heat lamp

Placed an order online last night for dinner and received a call indicating because the restaurant was getting busy for dinner, they couldnt make what i wanted to order. For clarity, i ordered a roast lamb meal and a chicken wrap meal and they didnt want to make the chicken wrap. This was disappointing as my partner and i order from argo at least once a month their food is good. This is the first time this happened so not sure what to think but i will definitely factor this in to which business i choose support in the future.

Update: Wow, I am so thankful for this establishment’s kindness and compassion. 5 stars! My credit card was declined when I went to pay for my food. I didn’t realized I had maxed its limit. They cheerfully said I could bring the food home and call in later with a different card’s info. They were very lovely and kind about it while I was quite embarrassed. The food itself was delicious. I ordered vegetarian pizza and it was loaded with with fresh toppings on a delicious thick but light and crispy crust. I also ordered fries, chicken wrap (sooo good) with salad and beef wrap with salad. All very good! Previous Review: I ordered the roast lamb dinner and it was really good. Perfectly cooked lamb, lemon potatoes and really fresh Greek salad. Huge portion! Enough for 2 meals for a hungry person.

we ordered food from here through uber eats and I had called the restaurant following our order to upgrade one of the meals which I paid an extra $10 for. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive and all that was delivered was the appetizers. I immediately called the uber driver who said he was only given the bag he delivered and nothing else. So, I called the restaurant but they were already closed and I left a message. The next day I got a call from the owner who was not apologetic at all. She blamed uber saying that there is a frequent chain of events where uber drivers are giving the wrong bags to other customers or possibly keeping the food to themselves. My question is, if this is such an issue, why are you still using uber at your restaurant? I’ve never had this issue with any uber delivery I’ve made. The owner wouldn’t even acknowledge that it was a possibility her staff didn’t give the driver the correct bags. She also had no appreciation for the fact that we didn’t have a meal that night. She offered to provide us with the missed meals which she had to make clear, it was at the restaurants expense. Again, no sympathy for the fact that I spent 40 minutes driving to pick up the food which was my time and gas money spent on their mistake. When I picked up the food, there were bags with the salads / appetizers at the front and the meals were kept in the back with the kitchen. Seemed like a coincidence that that was the bag the uber driver apparently stole or gave to another customer. This made it clear to me that it was the restaurants mistake. I opened up the bag of food in front of her to confirm that the order was correct and she said ‘uber refunded you didnt they?’ implying that she didnt have to fix the mistake they made. meanwhile i was never refunded the additional $10 i paid to the restaurant that night. the food wasn’t great and I won’t be coming back here. I would have at least appreciated an apology for what happened but instead I was treated poorly for a mistake I didn’t make and it felt like she was trying to make me feel bad for the ‘favour’ they did by giving us the meals we ordered at no additional cost. If you’re going to give a favour, don’t be rude about it. terrible customer service. sub par food.

Small local shop that serves more in style of take out however has a few small tables inside. Staff are inviting and friendly and the menu options are plentiful. A little pricier however the portions make up for it as they are very generous. Food is prepared homestyle and takes a little longer, however quality is great. Parking can be found in the plaza or on the side streets. Ordering take out would be most convenient however sitting in house is also possible and a nice environment!
