Wow! What an amazing experience! Chef Kat is truly amazing; she is an amazing Chef and is so friendly and personable, we felt like we’ve known her for years. I had Chef Kat come into our home to cook for us to celebrate my husband’s 40th Birthday! The food was beyond SUPERB! Beforehand, Chef Kat made sure to take great detail in creating a customized menu for us that catered to our preferences. While in our home, Chef Kat was professional, friendly, and amazingly detailed in her cooking, serving (white gloves was a beautiful touch) and her clean up! We felt completely pampered! Chef Kat’s scallops were so delicate and delicious, and her family raised beef was cooked to perfection! My husband and I were both blown away and will definitely be having her back! We have already begun planning! 1000% would recommend Chef Kat! Thank you so much for an evening that we will be talking about for years to come!

Our experience with Chef Kat and the servers were beyond our expectations! I wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday. And since we both love to try new foods being food lover and all, what better way to do so than by inviting a chef home to surprise him and to grace his party with her presence. Off the bat, Chef Kat was very on- time with her response, professional with a call to discuss the event and a date was set up to see the space she'd be working with. I was sooooo excited to meet her! She showed up and was as beautiful a person as she was inside..we finalized an appetizer soiree for the evening. Chef Kat knew exactly what she would do to excite our 26 guests! The day of the event came, Chef Kat and the servers were on time, prepped and had everything ready for when our guests arrived. It one of the most beautiful evenings we've had with Chef Kat's appetizers wonderfully displayed and served. Chef Kat and the girls even came out and had a little fun with us and our guests. And at the end of the night, there was so much left over. Chef Kat explained how I can prepare them and the Tues after, I hosted a girls' paint day and served the remaining appetizers! Overall, we were very happy with Chef Kat, the food and the impeccable service provided by the servers! Thank you for making my husband's birthday such a memorable one Chef Kat and team!!!

This is long overdue.... last month I had the pleasure of entertaining 4 couples at my home and last minute decided I didn't want to cook myself and rather enjoy the evening with friends! I quickly started looking for a Chef, thankfully Chef Kat was available on such short notice! Being able to entertain business colleagues without having to worry about cooking and serving! They were so impressed they are still talking about it a month later! Having Chef Kat prepare a 'five-course in-home gourmet dinner for two' last week was a fantastic gastronomical, sensory and visual treat. Not only was she extremely well-prepared and organized, she was a delight and pleasure to watch as she created each course from scratch, and presented each dish so artistically. We chose to sit at the kitchen bar, so that we could watch her prepare and plate each dish, seemingly effortlessly, while discreetly cleaning up after each course. We did not discuss the menu in advance, as I trusted her judgement, and did not want to limit her by my preferences or suggestions. From the first time we met Kat she was professional and fun. She planned the perfect menu for our 25th wedding anniversary. Chef arrived a few minutes early which is fine; we were ready! She made herself at home and got cooking! We could smell the amazing food as we sat out on the deck enjoying our glass of champagne. Chef Kat was over at our house for my husband's 50th birthday this past weekend. She catered our cocktail party and all I can say is that it was Excellent. My hard to please mother-in-law was blown away. She created a menu for the adults taking into consideration some food sensitivities and had a special menu for all of the kids that were at the party as well. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. We would use Chef Kat again in the future and would recommend her for 5 star service.

Chef Kat is the ultimate professional bringing with her a fantastic repertoire of ideas and skills. In addition, she makes the experience of an in-home-chef even better with her friendly personality and great conversation. Chef Kat’s reviews were very helpful for my search in a private chef for my wife’s 60’s birthday dinner/party. Kat was very professional from our first meeting in helping me set up our menu. She customized our dinner menu to my wife’s liking and the food was not only plated beautifully but it was also delicious! Kat even created a new dessert for my wife which Kat loves so much herself that will now be considered for future menu. Chef Kat arrived promptly as was promised and the food was cooked in our kitchen; served with white gloves service. After the meals were served; Kat cleaned up and left the kitchen and dishes all cleaned up. We enjoyed a fabulous family dinner with Chef Kat! She was a dream to work with in planning a celebration, even when we had to change our date. Her menu accommodated dietary restrictions, and also two young kids with their own preferences and smaller appetites. Her attention to detail really made the meal extra special; for example in plating our children's meals she took the time to have cut up their meat so that my husband and I were able to eat our meals right away without first stopping to prepare the kids' food. The food itself was delicious, beautifully plated (see photos), and enjoyed by all 8 guests (including the kids!). Chef Kat brings her own plate ware for service, pots and pans for cooking, and left the kitchen spotless! Having worked in food and hospitality at a 4 diamond restaurant myself, I can honestly say that we had the luxury of enjoying a fine dining meal but within the comfort (and COVID minded safety) of home.

Chef Kat cooked an excellent meal for us. She brought all her own pots and pans and all the ingredients for the meal, it was amazing! We had everything from scallops, beef tenderloin to Mexican chocolate mousse, YUM! She was very interesting to talk to and had lots of stories to tell us. Honestly, what an INCREDIBLE experience. Chef Kat blew my expectations out of the water. Not only was her food amazing, but also it was presented so well. I chose to work with Chef Kat for my husbands 30th birthday. I was looking for a chef who used local, organic ingredients. I was sold when she told me that the lamb and beef come from her family’s farm in Alberta. She was very professional, organized, and kind from the beginning. On the day of the event. she arrived promptly to our home and set up very quickly. Our menu was phenomenal: foie gras filled strawberries, oysters Rockefeller, lobster,lamb meatballs, seared scallops with pancetta; lamb, and beef with and amazing wild mushroom brandy sauce; and a decadent peanut butter and caramel crunch parfait. She totally accommodated our families dietary needs. What I completely appreciated is her patience, sense of humor, and personality. My family was running late and even with the little ones, she kindly accommodated us. My nephew, who is very picky, even ate everything on his plate! We look forward to working with her and trying other cuisines!

I hired Chef Kat for my Husband's 50th birthday for a dinner for 14. From the very beginning Chef Kat was quick to respond and follow up and very easy to deal with. She offered great suggestions for a 4 course dinner and she didn't disappoint. The appetizers were so delicious and melted in your mouth and immediately left you wanting more. Her signature dressing was amazing and the entrée meal of beef was enjoyed by everyone. She ended with "Nona's Tiramasu" and it was truly perfect! Everyone at the table loved the food including some "picky" teenagers! Chef Kat has a great personality, and easy to get along with. My kitchen was spotless when she left and each of my dinner guests felt very special for having had the opportunity to be catered to by Chef Kat. As for the dinner itself, I was not sure what to expect, as I wanted my wife and guests to be treated. I was not disappointed. Chef Kat arrived at our home exactly on time, and as we had cleared the kitchen and fired up the stove in advance as requested, the 4 course meal started on time. The food itself was delicious and the service was professional and courteous. At the end of the meal, the kitchen was left spotless and we had no dishes to clean – what a pleasure. My husband does all the cooking so a friend told me about ChefKat, and I was thrilled to be able to offer him a home-cooked meal in our house, without him having to lift a finger. (or me!). It was topnotch - it was like having a fancy dinner out, without any of the hassle. ChefKat arrived right on time, and was very friendly while still being professional. We thoroughly enjoyed her, and the meal was outstanding. It was five courses, with a palate cleanser before the main course. Where to even begin? My husband hired Chef Kat to prepare our anniversary dinner for two. Chef Kat arrived on time, and prepared to blow us away! She was dressed in a beautiful chefs coat accompanied with white gloves for serving. To say this was a professional service would be an understatement. She was able to bring fine dining into our private dining room. Up until that evening I had never experienced food in that way. Flavor combinations and presentations that made you feel luxe but also comforted at the same time. Each bite of each course was truly magical. Chef Kat not only has immense knowledge in her craft but it is explicitly clear that she has a true passion for what she does and shares her heart in food. This may sound too good to be true, but we were honestly blown away by her and this experience! We will most definitely be contacting her for all of our home gatherings when the world opens up again.

Wow, where do I even begin? We hired Chef Kat for our small/intimate Covid wedding and to this day, our guests (and us) still talk about how incredible the food was. Food was SUPER important to me and Chef Kat DELIVERED. Chef Kat and her team really helped set the mood and atmosphere at our micro wedding. She helped me curate a menu to suit all the guests needs (out of the 25 people at our wedding, we had vegans, gluten intolerant, etc). My husband and I have been doing themed dinners for some time now. Most recently, my sister in law arranged for our family to each host one of our own. She started off with Italian and recreated Italy for us- it was a wonderful experience. My husband and I volunteered to go next and decided we really wanted to experience an in-home Chef this time. Not only would the food be amazing but it really was less prep and clean up for us! I googled Chefs in the area and put some messages out to quite a few. Chef Kat messaged us back right away. From the beginning our experience with Chef Kat was wonderful. Not only was she responsive, I explained my vision to her (and theme) and she had a mock menu drafted up for me within 24-hours. We chatted back and forth as we secured our date - it was important for me to hire a chef who could accommodate allergies, meat lovers and vegetarians. She was able to accommodate easily and happy to do so. The day of our event was just as seamless- she showed up and got to work right away. She made sure to come out and introduce herself to our guests which I felt was such a nice touch! The food was AMAZING! Chef Kat explained that she had once owned a restaurant in Mexico and therefore her food was authentic. You could absolutely tell. The flavours, some spicey others not, were fabulous. Everyone at the table enjoyed the diversity of plates they were receiving throughout each course. I watched as she memorized who could eat what and made sure that each plate matched the right person- it was really incredible. It made me feel comfortable and gave my guests an experience they would never forget. When we finished eating and it was time for Chef Kat to leave - I walked into my kitchen and it was spotless! Too be honest, it looked better than I had left it. Overall, Chef Kat was more than I or my husband expected and we will absolutely have her in our home again for another fabulous meal! Chef Kat put together a menu for our 40th wedding anniversary. The group age range was wide from ourselves right down to our grandson age 1 and granddaughter age 6. Chef Kat accommodated the kids and our granddaughter was heard to say after eating her specially prepared meal "I wish my Mom was a Chef". The consultation process was great, it enabled us to come up with ideas we would never have thought of. This lead to a great meal which accommodated several allergies and dislikes. I have to admit I couldn't envision how much food she kept talking about - and despite it being a "tapas" style event, we didn't want anyone being hungry. Let me tell you...Chef Kat didn't disappoint. In fact, it was the opposite, the food was cooked over a four hour period and constantly rotating through the 5 options. So we always seemed to have fresh hot food coming around. Everything was delicious. Chef Kat also accommodated our guests with some food intolerances - shellfish, gluten, lactose - and they all commented on how great the variety was. Dessert literally flew out of the bowl as guests raced for seconds and I heard some even had thirds. That explains why I only had a small taste myself...definitely a problem I would rather have than plates of it sitting untouched. As noted in her other reviews, Chef Kat shows up (with a server) and brings everything. She cooks, serves, cleans, and leaves...the stove was cleaner when she left than before she arrived. She even takes all the garbage out with her. Now that's service. I highly recommend Chef Kat and look forward to when we do this again. Perhaps our next event will be a more "formal" sit down dinner...or not. The options seem endless with Chef Kat. You will not be disappointed.

We hired Chef Kat to mark my 50th birthday! We wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary to celebrate this occasion with 2 other couples. I can't possibly say enough great things about Chef Kat and this whole experience. From our email and phone interactions, she is super responsive and so down to earth and makes it so easy to collaborate. From the moment she arrived, she was professional and warm. Very unobtrusive but so friendly. Our meal was BEYOND delicious. From the scallops to the home made signature dressing on the salad to the AAA Alberta Beef and finally dessert. Everything was spectacular. This evening was easily in our TOP 5 BEST NIGHTS OF ALL TIME! We highly recommend Chef Kat and can't wait for our next special occasion to taste her food again! My husband and I received a gift certificate to have Chef Kat cook a five-course meal in our home for us. We were in love with the idea and decided to use it for our anniversary. When I had my first phone conversation with Chef Kat, I realized she was very organized and I had a feeling it was going to be a great experience. From our first conversation to her follow up after our experience, she had me smiling ear to ear. She remembered my husband and daughter’s names, our friends’ names who gifted us the experience and she even included a “happy anniversary” message on our menu for the occasion. Great customer service is so important and when I meet someone who has an appreciation for it like I do, it means a lot! I also have a great appreciation for the details and I love that Chef Kat does too. We saw this in her cooking as well. Her fresh ingredients, homemade dishes and savoury flavours exceeded our expectations. The pairings and dishes complemented each other so well and our tastebuds were dancing! Her white glove service was a very nice touch and she left our kitchen spotless! Chef Kat is very personable and an absolute pleasure to get to know. She definitely made our anniversary dinner a memorable one and we look forward to having her back again - next time with friends!
