This is for takeout; maybe sit down service is better, but... After waiting 20 minutes to pick up my food (which I had been staring at for 15 minutes), I found out they forgot an entire meal. They then argued with me about it. I wanted a credit, but they refused and only offered a free replacement meal. Service was slow, and unfriendly. If it was busy, I could understand, but there were only 2 people ahead of me.

I typically have good service, but last visit was terrible. I am not sure if they were short staffed but she let us sit far too long throughout. She did not get what I wanted and the only reason I ordered a particular item was because of the way it is typically served. The waitress would not give the condiment requested. Finally one of the orders came out wrong. We pointed it out and were charged for the incorrect more expensive item despite pointing it out.

Their posted store hours are wrong, they do not close at 10pm they close at 9pm. Don't waste your time driving here at 9:15pm after working all day expecting to eat because Google said they close at 10pm. Because you'll go hungry.

Swiss chalets portions keep getting smaller and smaller what's vegetables that are often cold and way over cooked. When you hardly put any spinach dip on your nachos and you have a lot of leftover notchers there's a portion size issue

Friendly service. It's an average swiss chalet. Food is good but not stellar, it's fairly standard fair. I enjoy coming here when I want food that I won't feel terrible after eating it. It's quick, fairly healthy, and tasty. Nice place for an affordable meal. Good portion sizes, great prices. I'm happy with it.

Today we had to wait for silverware before we could eat. We also had to ask twice for extra dipping sauce. The baked potato was supposed to come with sour cream and green onions but staff had to collect it separately from the kitchen. The half chicken dinner was of course delicious. The ladies washrooms did not have any hand soap. Luckily I carry hand sanitizer. They did however have a second garbage pale for paper towel that's used to open the doors so you don't have to touch the handles.

Friendly staff, even close to closing. Food was cooked perfectly and kitchen staff accommodated dietary restrictions. As a side note, Swiss Chalet has WW options listed on the menu that are just as tasty as their non-WW items. Will be going to this location again when we're driving through on our way to Ottawa.

Worst meal I have had at a Harvey's ever. Fires were re- heats. Must have been reheated multiple times Ordered a side order of onion rings Watched as kitchen staff came out and deliberately bagged the item for the burger builder . It was three onion rings on top of another order of re-heats to disguise the contents . I should have checked the bag before leaving the store . And I left a good tip I won't be back

I ordered a chicken Caesar salad was very disappointed that there was no bacon and very little parmesan cheese (should have been a side). When ordering take out it helps to have condiments,forks, and napkins. Was eating on the run as a passenger. For the cost of 14.99 plus tax it was unsatisfying have to do without and eating with my fingers.

The dine in service may be ok, but the pick up/delivery service is horrible. Keep missing food from my orders, and when you bothered calling to ask, the attitude of the manager is like: whatever, things happen, what do you want for me…I want an apology, but nobody said one. Unfortunately this was not a great visit. We got seasoned fries that were awful. They were over cooked, old, cold and dried out. We also got bowl of broccoli soup that for $5.49 was extremely small and really had no flavor as it was watery. If the bowl (small) was that much I couldn't imagine the cup size for $4.99...anyways not having lunch there again!

In this day and age of allergies etc., the only thing that upset EVERYONE(at least 24people) around us was a woman that must have her spayed her entire perfume bottle on her until it was EMPTIED outside the restaurant, then bundled up her coat tight seconds before she came in. OMGoodness, NO ONE Could breathe . People were asking to move to other seats and the staff were doing there very best to accommodate everyone. We were almost ready to leave, thank goodness. We ordered the Brownie Sundae but couldnt finish our desserts and left the brownie there as they all smelled of perfume as the woman sat next to an empty table away from us. Everything was so Good. We were all having a good celebration. The STAFF are EXCELLENT. The portions of Great food were big And this selfish woman and her overpowering cheap perfume upset a whole restaurant during a busy meal time rush. No one knew until she got in and took off her coat and started walking around. By the time she finally sat down, the smell was everywhere.. . I know it has nothing to do with the restaurant, but maybe people wll read this and know about people that do this. Its not nice to upset that may patron or wait staff.

Service was good until our waitress told us the wrong information about caa discounts and coupons, and at the end of the meal she came back to the table saying that we couldn’t use the caa card unless it was on a bill with two meals. There was four people at the table including myself who all insisted she did not say this earlier (we had went out with friends which would make 3 bills). Instead of owning up to it, she stormed off returning with a manager. We repeated what we had told her to the manager, and after we said it was just a misunderstanding and agreed to just pay the bills as is without discounts, the waitress said I’ll pay for it very rudely, storming off yet again. The manager cleared it all up in the end, but it caused a very large scene, making it very embarrassing for us all. But the reason I’m making this review, is because when we were leaving we could hear and see the waitress talking to the manager about the situation, and she was not being very kind. Very disappointed.

Called back and they would only offer a gift card or credit. I did not accept as will no go back there. They finally sent fries. This is a must stop for my family when visiting the 1000 Islands/Kingston area. They recently renovated the place so the decor is very modern with some whimsy touches. And what can I say about that Swiss Chalet chicken with Chalet sauce, but yum!! A Canadian classic.????????

Takeout is usually quick, even when it's busy. The servers are attentive enough to customers and accommodate your requests. I have had various food but typically stick to the chicken. I am not a fan of the ribs- I find them undercooked and often pink when cutting them apart. The chicken is always flavorful and delicious. The salads for takeout taste fresh and are never soggy. I really enjoy the Parmesan fries over the regular ones as I find the regular fries to be quite dry and unappealing. I'm not a big fan of the new buns they have, however to each his own. I loved the shrimp and rice they have- the sauce is amazing and brings a tangy and savory flavor to the shrimp. Overall: quick for takeout. Often the food is pretty flavorful and enjoyable. Dining in is a pleasurable experience. Would definetly return again.

From start to finish it was terrible. Hostess was miserable. Tables and seating was dirty. Drinks came after the meal was served and that was having to ask 3 times. Salad was half the normal portion you're supposed to get and drowning in the salad dressing. Absolutely no cutlery so your food gets cold by the time they remember to bring it.

I visited Swiss Chalet along with family members including my three grandkids. I had the half chicken with a baked potato. The food quality was good and the service was fast considering we were a table of six. Because of covid, our server wore a mask and I felt safe with their cleaning procedures. As we were leaving, our server brought us a whole bunch of mini chocolate bars given that it was Halloween Eve.

After a long day of travelling, I ordered from this swiss chalet and quickly ran to pick it up. Getting back to my hotel, there were a few things missing / incorrect. One quick call to the store, and the super friendly owner was actually at my door in under 10 minutes with a brand new, correct, fresh order. We had crispy chicken dinner at around 4:30pm July 11,2018. The rolls were hard and dry, the crispy chicken looked and tasted like it had been in a warming draw for hours. The baked potato was not hot. We left most of it on the plate, a sure sign of very poor food and we declined a takeout container. In the past the take out has been good, but today, dine in was the worst ever. Not worth the 1 star at all.

When you go to Swiss Chalet you know exactly what you'll get. The food is always good, especially the fresh cut fries. The Chalet dipping sauce is unique and good with both the chicken and the fries. Service is nice and friendly.

I heard a lot about this place from my parents who used to eat here more than 20 years ago, but never tried it until today. A nice family-friendly restaurant, with a menu rich in items that would satisfy every taste. The portions are huge and very generous. Not the place I remember. Food was good but the amount of food on the plate did not reflex the price. I had the half chicken meal, my usual order, and was still hungry when I left. Order a Pepsi with no ice and couldn't drink it due to the amount of ice in it made it too cold and watered down to enjoy. Tried this plsce again last week and it was pretty much the same. we ordered last week...one delux burger with fries made into poutine,,,one quarter meals fries also poutine....and one half chicken festive meal...once it was delivered i seen that the festive meal had nothing that goes in it,,,no cramberries no stuffing...no chocolate...no scratch ticket...nothing...l call back and waited 20 mins + for someone to take my call..she asked if i wanted it now or a credit..i wanted it with my meal..so it came but there was still no stuffing and no sour cream and chives for my baked potato...i didnt call back although everyone said to...i ate my cold meal...was not impressed..we have swiss chalet alot ...not so sure anymore...dissappointed
