You will see the opinions of people who use the products of 1000 Islands & Seaway Cruises (Catering) in the area close to Brockville (Canada).
Now the business has a score of 4.2 stars over 5 and that rating is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is really good, and it is based on a high number of scores, so we may say that the valuation is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are satisfied, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Catering is classified in the category of Tourist attraction.
Only few islands. It's not comparable with the ones in Gananoque at all.
We took the "1.5 hr 'Jewels of the St. Lawrence' Cruise", it was a great tourr with kids (yong) that were a bit afraid for their 1st boat ride, they loved it and wanted to go again the next day! Covid wise, not over crowded, but the staff of 2 for doing everything (exept payments), they did not sanitized between each trip.
Was at Block house island nice view of freighters going down the St.Lawrence River
A bad business for TravelZoo and customers. Terms and conditions were not applicable between the merchant and the travel agent on promotional vouchers and additional taxes. We were not accommodated on the reservation we made online with 1000 Islands & Seaway Cruises. Unfortunately, we were placed on the later cruise tour schedule and the manager Andrew of 1000 Islands & Seaway Cruises accommodated customers who paid upfront the desk. The manager of the store, Andrew, didn't believe the fact that it was written on the promotional voucher to book a reservation online and the customer doesn't need to call the merchant for booking a reservation. Contradicting and confusing. I already reported it to TravelZoo about their worst customer service. Very ignorant and rude manager named Andrew. Get your business straightened up 1000 Islands & Seaway Cruises!
Such a bad experience with customer service. Please be clearer with your consumers! I’d love to have photos and an experience to share, but tonight’s plans were completely foiled due to terrible communication. My mother purchased tickets for the dinner cruise, and we drove 3 hours to take our visiting cousins, from Italy, on this tour. So you can imagine our dismay when we showed up, and everything was closed. What’s frustrating is we spoke to someone this morning to get details about when we needed to be there, and they assured us that as long as we arrived at 6:30pm, we would get on the boat in time. Why that person didn’t mention Saturday-only dinner cruises, is beyond me. The taste is my mouth is a bitter one, and I don’t know how this can be rectified. Nothing good has happened for me in Brockville.
Loved it. Nice place.
Very pleasant cruise. Great views. Descriptions over loudspeaker difficult to hear at times.
It's a fun thing to do but not much to see because they don't go anywhere that you can really enjoy the tour. Not far or long enough!
I made an online reservation for the castle cruise (5 hours) on Aug.2, 2015. The online system did not take my 20% discount and charged my daughter rate as an adult. I tried to contact the company by phone. The phone was never answered. When I drove 3.5 hours to the office, the so called Captain insisted that the child and adult rate is same even after I presented all paper documentation. Given the long distance drive with my little girl, I took the cruise and paid the balance. The cruise was ok though the castle tour was rush. The deck young man was very nice. If you indeed can not find other cruise companies, I suggest you buy the ticket on the spot to save all headaches.
Nice scenic views! But the boat needs upgrades! Try to reach the top deck So u can avoid getting suffocated inside the boat... It's. I would say it's way pricey considering a 90min cruise with a recording! Some refreshment should be served looking At their prices.. Enjoyed the views and got few decent pics!
Fantastic but crowded place
Rude staff!
Enjoyed my trip! Make sure to use Groupon to save $$
Great cruise. Used travel zoo to get tickets
I love this place with nature
Well worth the ride if you are vacationing in the area. Very interesting tour with lots of history about the area.
We were on the sea fox II i believe today. We took the last trip out of the harbour. The view was splectacular, the onboard recorded presentation was alright. Lots of babies, toddlers screaming throught the trip, exttemely annoying. I installed the marine traffic app to follow along on the water but when i searched for thiat particular boat it showed no trips, no photo, no info, as if it had no licence. The crew was ok.
Last time I was on that cruise was in 1982. They did an AMAZING job with Boldt Castle. The 5h cruise is worth it!
Beautiful sights, the audio track was a little dated.
Beautiful scenery. Great staff
Great little cruise...try and get on the top deck and enjoy the sea breeze especially on a hot day.
Overall pleasant experience! I particularly appreciate how punctual they are, for both departure and arrival. I was sitting near the tail of the upper deck where I felt a bit sick for smelling the diesel for 1.5 hour.
Hood and nice cruise for all the family
Overcrowded and way too noisy to hear the on board English tour commentary. The boat is not open air as depicted in the ad for this place. Basically a closed in houseboat with very little access to the standing area outside. Trip was delayed due to some mechanical problem, no explanation given. St Lawrence is beautiful and that was the only thing worth seeing. Fortunately the tour was practically free with Groupon. Would have been pretty ticked had we paid the full fare
Been many times before but first time since Covid19. Overall, a good experience. Social distancing is prevalent. Ticket office, boarding, cruising. There is a form you have to sign about Covid - typical waiver that means nothing if you really wanted to sue them - but it's good for contact tracing too. No one ever told.me I had to read the form, just that I had to sign and provide contact info. On board the cruise, everyone up on the deck has their own box and stays in their box. Everyone has to wear a mask and, on my particular excursion, everyone did except one family whose adults half-wore them and kids didn't. People kept "forgetting" some of the rules and instructions. I only gave 4* because there was little enforcing of the rules until I commented to the crew. I think a periodic reminder over the loudspeaker and an occasional check that people are doing the right thing would go a long way. Again, overall, I felt safe and it was a very pleasant cruise through the 1000 islands on a very pleasant day.
Children are not treated fairly. I was on the 1:00 o'clock cruise today August 3 with a senior and 2 children. The children were sitting on the boxes that have the life jackets on the upper deck. There are several of these boxes and on each there was one and only one person deep. Several people came an crowded out the 2 children with me. The crew refused to do anything about this. The children are entitled to a seat the same as everyone else. This is very unfortunate as it ruined the cruise and caused hard feelings. Do not recommend if you have children with you
The Wildcat is really worth it. It goes quite far in exploring the islands, down to bolt Castle and we passed a cargo liner and went over the wave it produced and got soaked which was great considering it was a hot day that day. I wouldn't go more than once for sure. The cost is a bit pricey but you are in the boat for a good amount of time. I believe when I went last it was about $50 per person but I could be wrong.
My husband and I were third in line but were seated in the worst seats right in the middle of the deck. Surrounded by people not wearing masks. Could not see anything at all, while people further back in the lineup were given great seats. Also several people walking around all over the boat with no mask on. Very shocking to see.
Enjoyed their 1hr cruise this fall, was very relaxing and beautiful scenery. Would love to do a longer tour next time. Only downfall was the customer service in the ticket/gift shop. He said he wasn't feeling well but could have been more helpful and such.
Lovely daytrip option, just over an hour's drive from Ottawa. We had made a mistake booking our tickets ahead of time (online) and ordered an extra one. When we showed up to the counter, we told the attendant about our oversight and she offered us a refund (we were not expecting this). She was lovely, courteous, professional and very efficient. We took the 90 minute cruise - perfect timing for those not wanting to commit to a longer ride. Highly recommended. Wil go again.
The ride was very nice and the tour was very informative. The day I went we even saw a CN boat cross by. If you are going during covid I would recommend you take your own snacks because they had limited drinks and popcorn was the only snack you could purchase. Great for taking pictures as well.
The service was ok and ordinary. There's nothing to complaint about. The low rating is about the route. It was really insignificant and boring. With this ferry route, you will not see those picturesque scenes. NOTE: there might be other routes from Brockville that cover those beautiful islands. Make sure to check before getting the tickets or read other reviews.
Awsome place have a coffee and muffin with great friends and your better half.
I thoroughly enjoyed my summer cruise adventure and learning more about the river, islands, homes and people.
Wonderfully!! It is beautifully!!!
A nice boat tour around the thousand isalnds after going to the brockville railway tunnel ????
Very nice The cruise would be nicer during the warmer sunny summer days.... but all in all, it is fun
Brookville Island cruise
Great cruise. Very informative and gave us a good idea of how the islands and surrounding areas came to be what they ate today.
Have taken this boat ride when we have visitors in town. Always a pleasure looking at the city from the water. Wonderful staff!
90 minute cruise from Groupon cost US$24. Informative prerecorded commentary offered in English and French. Reasonably priced bar on board. Views from the top deck were somewhat limited by the plastic window covers, and a more enjoyable view can be had from the lower rear deck (though the commentary can't be heard here).
The cruise was a nice way to spend an hour and a half outside of the town Brockville. I enjoyed the voice-over of the history of the 1000 islands and the scenery was nice but personally I think the cruise was bit long. After the first spin and towards the opposite way of where you started everyone becomes kind of impatient, especially kids. The staff was fine and the captain was extremely welcoming allowing for a full conversation with my sister and pictures. Also bring some snacks for the boat ride it's unnecessary to buy any on the boat because they're overpriced. Overall a nice boat ride outside of a nice town.
This was a great Cruise and the staff was very friendly. My only criticism was there was too much information about houses along the shore rather than the islands themselves. Never-the-less well worth the investment
the boat was crowded and not terribly comfortable, but the scenery was lovely
Who doesn't love the gorgeous views ? The family gad so much fun.
Very good experience.
Nice cruise, very informative. Friendly people. We enjoyed it even if we couldn't wear masks
Always enjoy to do a cruise with them
I did not enjoy this at all and neither did my family. The worst was the uncomfortable seats.
A really nice cruise with a beautiful view. Everything was clear and safe. If you want to have a great view in a scenic place, you found the right spot!
Was great. Beautiful place for visiting
This cruise was okay... Nothing exceptional... You dont see any castles in this tour
Beautiful Christmas Lights... we'r enjoyed it so much!
Went yesterday with my sister who uses a walker and was soooo disapointed with your company...We were first to get on with absolutely NO help from Captain or Firstmate who were both standing on each side of boarding platform..i was trying to help my sister get on holding her and her walker stable so she would not fall...the crew proceeded to just watch and not so much as a hand in helping..this was so pathetic that the ppl behind made comments to the crew about how unprofessional they were. It was another passenger who stepped in as your crew did NOTHING. Cruise itself was nice and relaxing but service is a great big fat 0. On top of this when we arrived bk and were getting off theCaptain said you need to put chair bk ..we had moved a chair for her walker on the cruise. Again another passenger stepped in and helped..such unprofessionalism at its best. We are getting off and again captain and firstmate on each side and AGAIN NOT SO MUCH AS A HAND OF HELP even when my sister said can you help me please when getting off of ship. Your company ruined what was supposed to be a beautiful experience for us. What will you do to resolve this is the big question.
Washrooms don't work. Horrible attitude. Smell is unbearable.
Went there with The family we had a great time we love it. They are so organized snacks for the kids available on the boat. You Gatta go early to get seated in the top of the boat. Special thanks for captain Phillip. We will don’t next summer for longer hours.
A great choice for the 1000 island cruise. Enjoyed the service and tour
Went on a boat cruise hubby and I was Excellent food Great service.
Cruise is great and relaxing.
Awesome experience!! Everyone must take this relaxing tour!
Beautiful place
Love blockhouse come down every Wednesday and sit here for datenight with my lovely wife
Great tour, plenty of room since COVID restrictions, captain and enseign vert courteous.
Beautiful views. You can easily spend half day here just enjoy the sunshine.
Had an absolutely wonderful trip Especially due to covid. The safety and health of their passengers was outstanding Lots of history and interesting bots.of history Would definitely fo again. Thank you
Rude staff, they were so rude specially the captain. They let people onboard who were not in the queue to upper deck, when we asked if we can go up, their first response was "go get a refund". is this how you deal with your customers ? never seen such people. They were almost shouting as soon as we boarded the boat. Didnt even let us sit properly or put our bags down. They said no washroom on the boat to a 6 six year girl and then we saw another lady using the washroom, when we asked the staff they said depends who do you ask. We were group of 14 and worst experience ever ???? paid just to deal with rude people. ????
amazing ships
Scenic and tour master Norm was very knowledgeable
Although we havent gone on the cruise yet, I must give 5 stars for great customer service. We had to reschedule our purchased tickets last minute, due to a family emergency, and they were extremely sensitive and accommodating!
On the whole a very worthwile adventure! Our cruise encompassed the 2 castle expkoration package. The tour is 5 hours in total, 3 of which is spent commuting on the beautiful St.Lawrence. The first tour took place at Boldt Castle. The looks more like a rustic home of the 1800s than a castle per se. This self guided tour is somewhat rushed in the alloted one hour but is fun and feasible to complete albeit a quick visit. The second tour took place at Singer castle. Although this place looks more like q castle infact it is the hobby peoject of a wealthy businessman who liked the idea of having a castle. As with all guided tours the life of the tour is in the tour guide. We had some highschool kid which really took away from the experience. His timing was off and knowledge base slim. The tour guide a head if him had many interesting stories and facts that provided the first part of the group with far more enjoyment. TIPS: Bring a backpack with at least 2 bottles if water and snacks. You can only eat on the boat but this make a good use of your time. Bring some disposable rain coats from Canadian Tire (only $3). Bring sunglasses. Be prepared to be on time on the fuest tour. You have only one hour. Wrar running shoes. The water is cold so bring a sweater in your backpack. The best seats on the boat are at the back (outside the cabin).
Amazing! Loved it!
Highly recommend this tour, they gave us interesting facts about the area and there was a bar on board for a drink if you'd like. Will absolutely be visiting again for another tour.
Loved the cruise unfortunately it was raining and couldn't appreciate very well.
The cruise was interesting. The staff were friendly.
Horrible experience today. Chose 10:30 so kids can be awake and nap after the boat trip. They had boat trouble and didn't fix for one hour. Amazed they don't check these things before people arrive having paid good moneu. Had to leave and give up on the trip as we had events after in Kingston. Took forever to refund and no compensation at all for the waste of time. They even took back the aquatarium tickets bundled with the cruise cost. Family from Mexico visiting too. Very disappointing!
Non-credentiability for group rates even if documented . I had to reserve for a church group if 30 persons. After receiving written confirmation for the applied 25% discount on the group over 24 that should be applied on same day if the trip when you pay the other half of due amount, they did not apply the discount. I tried several time to reach them to return the over-payment via phone and e-mails with no response. I had to afford paying this difference that was against what promised to my group. I even sent them links to what they had on website at that time. Nothing worked , they even removed this from website afterwards. Really VERY FRUSTRATED and regretted not to go better to Kingstone or Gananoque as advised by my friends.
I rarely have bad things to say, but wasn't impressed with ticketing people. Very cold and non helpful approach...too bad. Won't suggest to anyone.
Good experience, unfortunately not all tbe island been visited. The most beautiful are under the bridge - our boat has not reached. May be that is the part of another excursion.
Our cruise on the Victoria day weekend was a really nice experience. The guide was knowledgeable, the scenery really beautiful and the boat, while nothing spectacular, allowed for easy viewing and many wonderful photo opportunities. They have Groupons which are a real bargain.
We went with my kids and took the "1.5 hr 'Jewels of the St. Lawrence' Cruise", it was a great tour for the kids boat ride, they enjoyed it very much and loved it . Covid wise, not over crowded, but the staff of 2 for doing everything to satisfy us and they gave a separate seating for each family
Very enjoyable narrated cruise, get to see beautiful islands, homes, birds, etc. Customer service in the shop is amazing, the captain was very nice and accommodating. Get in line earlier if you want first pick at seats. One thing I will say is depending on when you go, you may be warm on the dock, but it will get chilly on the water.
Beware of this company and their Groupon promotion as they engage in deceptive and unethical business practices. They do not clearly state on their promotion that only a certain number of seats per departure can be redeemed with the deal. When you go on their website, it says that there open seats remaining, however, in reality you cannot use your groupon to book these open seats as you can only redeem the "groupon seats" which are very limited and likely to be full. This is not clearly stated in the fine print and is a deceptive practice that they use on uninformed customers.
Not recommended. Kingston Cruis much better and cleaner. Bathroom was not working. The trip was very noisy. Lots of kids on board. The crew was not friendly. You will be overcharged on top of the ticket cost.
Excellent cruise with doing it we all loved it
Not impressed with the wildcat 1 hour cruise. We reaerved online, website said cruise was at noon and that kids were 23$ . Turns out cruise was moved to 1 pm with no notice and they charged us 30$ a kid. This cruise in my oppinion was not worth the money. It was a fun ride and ths music was good but not for that price. We do not recommend this boat cruise.
We had a nice cruise. The looks are stunning: beautiful islands, and beautiful homes - people living in harmony with nature. The boat was a little crowded but not over capacity. Staff were nice. One point to improve would be to have a live guide not a recording. It would be more engaging for the audience. Overall it was a nice relaxing break on the majestic St Laurent river.
Cruise along the islands is a good way to see nature and have a relax
this was a great tour. They took great precautions when it came to COVID-19. The boat was a bit older compared to some other ones that we’ve seen but the information and length of the tour was perfect. The clerk inside the shop before you get on the boat was extremely friendly and kind! overall it was a great cruise, and they even had snacks and drinks on board.
This was 3 years ago The worst experience You can walk faster than they drive That sound system was blaring The sound system had to be adjusted five times by an employee in the front of the boat with hand gestures for over half an hour Most boring ride ever !!!
The customer service and the journey isn't bad. Thus was our 2nd time and we booked using Groupon coupon and the price was great for us. However they don't sanitize the place after every visit which was very disappointing
Exciting, fun, great staff and good views with explanations.
Peaceful fairly quick boat ride, jewels of the St Lawrence. The boat is a little outdated. I had a hard time hearing the speakers. I'm only in my thirties (not hard of hearing) but my mother said she could hear it. We assumed open windows, and seating positions made the difference. We were on the lower part of boat, which your allowed to walk up to the front of the boat. Top level you are not allowed to come down to get to the front of the boat.
I went there 2 years ago on my first visit to Kingston. My trip was fantastic, the view was just breathtaking. Time just flew for me and my partner. Customer service and ticketing could definitely be more customer-focused and accommodating to people who are new in the area. I plan on giving it another try when Covid situation is under control, hopefully this summer.
Must try do thing when in Brockville. Good covid policies in place.
This was a LOT of fun. Perfect day. Friendly staff, educational and a wide variety of seating.
Great 1 1/2 hour tour!!
Great family day trip excellent customer service
Beautiful sunny day for a bike ride. Sat on benches and looked out over the water. Priceless!!
Fantastic food fantastic service Great ambience!
