Organized in every detail, they packed up the leftovers and gave take away packets to the event organizers so food wasn't wasted. They took away all garbage, and the cleaning was exceptional- not leaving a crumb behind.

As the owner of a catering company in the Okanagan Valley, I must say I was incredibly impressed. I needed help getting product to a client for a virtual event, and they went above and beyond. When we got the food it looked like a nightmare all put Togeather! The sandwiches where are not right and the Platters that we got where all Dequesting looking! Later on in the day Our whole office got sick with food poisoning! Don't go here unless you want to get really sick!! And the person who brought the food was really rude!!

The Lazy Gourmet, We had an incredible experience with Lazy Gourmet catering. Our wedding reception was in the False Creek Community centre and we had around 76 guest. Our food was delivered on time, fresh and hot. Food presentation was prestige and the quality was outstanding. My husband and I received countless comments on the quality of the food, and loved the staff! We felt at ease knowing we were being taken care of by such an incredible service team. The staff went above and beyond by helping out my family with setting up and restocking our dessert items. The Lazy Gourmet is a very apt name considering the food tastes like no effort was put forward regarding presentation nor flavour. I had extremely dry ribs, followed by extremely dry flavourless stuffing, followed by gravyless, dry mashed potatos. Because we all know mashed potatoes are best consumed plain ????. I would put this on par with the quality of an IHOP dinner.

I recently had the opportunity to join a Lazy Gourmet virtual cooking class and it was an amazing experience. The ingredients are delivered to your door so you don't have to worry about a thing. It was a fun and safe way to celebrate with friends and family and easy to follow along. The results were delicious! I cannot recommend this experience enough!

The Lazy Gourmet has been around for more than 35 years, and it is easy to see why. They are extremely professional and provide top notch service and menu options. I have ordered speciality birthday cakes from them, catering for a bridal shower, as well as holiday catering. Delivery and pick-up was always prompt. They are also great with dietary restrictions. My friends loved the experience and the food! Will definitely order again.

Ordered food for a party on saturday. They said it would arrive at 2.00 and at 2.01 they were there. All the packages had instructions for reheating. The food was really good (especially the polenta with gorgonzola). I would definitely use them again.

I attended a wedding recently, catered by you guys. It was a small plate buffet. Every dish was so delicious people were going back 4 or 5 times. And your servers were super nice. Highly recommended. In particular I fell in love with a savoury mushroom side made with small shimeji mushrooms. I would love to have that recipe!

Food is gross. If you consider Mr. noodles with a bit of sweet chili sauce and couple slices of tofu to be "gourmet" then you will enjoy this. Why on earth would a caterer serve spring rolls in the hundreds to large groups? Obviously they are going to be soggy rather than crispy when they sit in a pan. Same goes for avocado rolls. Like yeah, they are going to be brown when the sit around for hours before you serve them. They also over serve and then act passive aggressive when you suggest donating leftovers...all three days of the conference I attended they wasted a TON of food! You'd think they'd learn how much to produce after the second day...but nope, and it all gets thrown out. Salads lacked flavor, food was generally gross and the staff are rude. Don't go near this place!

My wedding was super complicated being outdoors, in a private home, and fusion Chinese/Indian. We got Lazy Gourmet to cater the food/dessert, arrange most of the rentals, bartend, and basically run the entire wedding. They did a flawless job and my guests complimented multiple times about the food and drinks. Leading up to the wedding they were also very flexible and chill (way more chill than we were) about our requests and endless changes. Thanks again!

Shannon and the entire LG team did a wonderful job with our 150 person wedding at Science World. My mother loved the food which is saying a lot since she’s been a cook for many years and works in the kitchen at a big hotel chain. Shannon was extremely accommodating with the menu and made some really great and smart suggestions based on our food preferences, our style of dinner, and budget. The tasting of our menu was really fun and I wish I’d known that there would have been THAT much food, I would have showed up much hungrier! The staff at the wedding was also very attentive with a server always asking if she could bring me anything to eat or drink.

We ordered our Holiday dinner from Lazy Gourmet, for delivery on December 24th, expecting to eat that day. Our meal was scheduled to arrived between 12:30 and 3:00pm. When it hadn't arrived by 3:00, I called. We were hungry. Though I was told it would arrive in the next half hour, it didn't arrive until around 4:30, and it was totally over packaged in a large box with many small containers inside (perhaps this is what took so long?). Very hungry at this point, we heated up the food, and realized one order of mashed potatoes was missing. All would have been forgiven if the food was good, but it wasn't. It was as ordinary as could be. It tasted like cafeteria buffet food. The turkey was flavourless, the mashed potatoes runny, the gravy bland, the kale salad too strong, the vegetables without any herbs or flavouring. We figured out why it is called the Lazy Gourmet. Whoever is supposed to be the gourmet chef is lazy.

I attended the Fall 2015 menu launch - what a great event! I'm consistently impressed with the creativity and quality of The Lazy Gourmet's food. The Scallop Rockefeller served on ceramic soup spoons and the Turkey Stuffing Sliders were my favourites.

Horrible value, horrible service. Picked up order that the party will be transporting and there, with no adequate trays to transport dishes with. They let an older woman struggle with one of the trays, walking down a set of stairs and she almost fell and had a major injury. Avoid this place at all costs.

I was at an event last week by Lazy Gourmet and everything was incredible. I was especially impressed by the service and staff. Everyone working was knowledgable about the food and professional. They all were extremely kind, friendly and welcoming! As well I loved every dish that was served. By far my favourite was the french onion soup which was packed with flavour. It was perfect for a rainy night. All in all it was a great evening!

Amazing cooking class! We have loved and used the Lazy Gourmet for over 10 years! With the loss of events and catering came an amazing opportunity to try their cooking class! A beautiful box with a 3 course meal came fully ready for us to roll up our sleeves. Each course had everything portioned out, instructions and everything we needed. The amazing Chef led us through each course, making sure that we were all following, and answering any questions along the way. He was charming to say the least! We set up our TV in the dining room so we felt like we were right there! Our box also came with cocktails which were outstanding. We absolutely loved our cooking class. We don't think we will be quitting our jobs anytime soon, but perhaps with a bit more practice we might get offered a job! ;P Highly recommended for birthdays, family events, or corporate! It was an absolute blast!

We just had a virtual birthday celebration and cooking class with Lazy Gourmet. It was soooo delicious. Everything came in a gorgeous well labeled box and adoptions were made for gluten free/vegetarian diets. Four course fancy meal! The chef was super and it was easy enough to keep up but he also taught us tricks and tips including plating so we felt like we knew what we were doing. Highly recommended.

We have attended many functions catered by The Lazy Gourmet and we would highly recommend them, but this review is specifically about their virtual cooking class which is a newer and Covid friendly service they offer. We were guests of an online birthday party wherein the shared activity was a virtual cooking class, all organized by The Lazy Gourmet. Three days before the party, we received an email with the menu and instructions to email the point person regarding any allergies or other accommodation requests. On the day of the party, a full meal kit (cocktail, salad, appetizer, entree, dessert) was delivered to our home and all ingredients were pre-measured and labelled. Once we logged onto the Zoom meeting, we could see the birthday boy, all other guests, and the chef. The chef gave clear instructions, had an engaging personality, and always paused for guest's questions. Guests with special dietary needs were accommodated with special ingredients as well as clarifying instructions from the chef. Our children (4 and 2) also participated and they both had a blast. The pre-measured ingredients meant they could join in by dumping and sprinkling, and of course they helped stir everything. The food was delicious and excellent. We ate everything and we couldn't agree on a family favourite because everything was delicious. If you are considering hosting a virtual gathering, we would highly recommend The Lazy Gourmet virtual cooking class.

I took a Lazy Gourmet virtual cooking class and it was so much fun! I honestly had a blast. We paired our meal with signature cocktails from their drink menu and it was delicious. I'm already looking into what other class I can take next. Their box with all the ingredients and cocktail mixes were beautifully package and I would be excited to send this to a client. customer, friend or family member. The Lazy Gourmet has supported the Make-A-Wish BC & Yukon Gala for many years, the food and service is always impressive and we're grateful for their polished support.

Myself and my partner ordered Christmas dinner through the Lazy Gourmet this year. It was awesome, it took the stress of cooking on the day away and the quality of both meals was excellent and well priced for what you got. We reheated the food in the oven and it tasted like it had just been cooked, all very fresh and well seasoned. Our point of contact was Katie, she was really helpful and quick to respond when we had questions. We will order from the lazy gourmet again. I've heard good things about their catering of larger events too. Definitely worth a shot.

Lazy Gourmet hosted a virtual cooking class over the weekend. The pre-portioned food was delivered in a beautiful box including recipes to follow along with. The chef walked everyone through cooking each course, with some fun tips and tricks. Not only was the food delicious, but it was a unique event that allowed a bunch of my friends to virtually connect when we otherwise can't get together. I'll definitely be doing this again.

Had them provide food for my wife’s birthday brunch. Their initial response to my request was fast and worked with me on two order changes leading up to the day without any issues. The food was delivered on time and their friendly staff took the time to set up the service area in a neat and orderly way. They forgot to bring the plates and cutlery as discussed but their staff member didn’t skip a beat and went right down to his van to get everything to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and the price paid was very fair. They came back the next day to grab their serving items. They made the whole process so simple and will be using them again for future parties/events.

Best Catering Experience! I used The Lazy Gourmet for my birthday party on a yacht for the day! They made the experience seamless, showing up and loading the boat before all the guests arrived and the display was absolutely beautiful. The food was fresh, elegant and delicious! We just had the pleasure of participating in a Lazy Gourmet Zoom Cooking Class! It was such fun from beginning to end! Such a great way to bring family and friends together. The food box arrived with everything needed to cook our yummy meal including cocktails to enjoy while cooking. The incredible chef guided us through each course preparation while answering questions, providing humour and giving us cooking tips. All the food was delicious! Crab cakes with caper aioli and arugula, Albacore tuna with Japanese soba noodles, oranges, avocado and cabbage, and brownies with caramel sauce and berries. Such a great way to celebrate a special occasion with family and friends!!!!

I have been using Lazy gourmet for the past few years! Kevin and his team have helped organize events for me from Christmas dinners to birthday celebrations, also my egagement party. Every time I have a vision of what I am looking for they go beyond expectations and even give me suggestions that I would have never thought about. They have done ultra elegant events for me and also causal family get together’s. The food is always top quality and absolutely delicious. I have used other catering companies in the past but they don’t even come close to the ease and professionalism that the lazy gourmet provides. Highly recommend using them for your event!! Also recently when using them over thanksgiving I felt very comfortable and at ease with their Covid measures.

I really hate to do less than flattering reviews but here we go. I ordered the Thanksgiving dinner for four ppl which was a lovely idea but the food was quite bland, which is ok, as you add a bit of salt and that's not a huge concern but overall the food was unimaginative compared to the descriptions. What I did not find ok is, I added two orders of bite sized appetizers which totaled $26 dollars and what we received was shocking. When they say bite sized, it should read miniscule. It was embarrassing to plate them and I could hardly admit how much I paid. I'm wide eyed at how they can present that at that price point...and they weren't even that good. In addition, the same can be said for the deserts as everyone doesn't even receive the same offerings and must decide who gets what, which is unnecessary. Overall it was over priced for the quality and taste and unfortunately not only I will never go back, I will not be able to recommend them in the future.
