The owners are lovely people. However, once I hired them for my special event, they ran out of beef on serving guests. Many guests did not get first, and certainly nobody got seconds.

This caterer is the clincher that got me to book the venue they work with (The Metro Hall). After the tasting we had, we were beyond sold. I am a seasoned veteran of weddings, about 5 per summer over the past 5-6 years straight, and let me tell you, this was BY FAR the best wedding food I have had. The chef is definitely something special. I got to meet him at the tasting too and go over some of our food plans. He was flexible at adding and changing his set menus to accommodate our tastes and preferences. They even went out of their way to store our gelato ice cream cakes we had ordered from another vendor at their place since our venue did not have freezers to store them. Also, they delivered the cakes to the venue (a couple blocks away) when we needed them there just before dessert time! Many of our guests raved about the quality and taste of the food, especially about the beef short ribs and butternut squash ravioli, wow. I'm craving them now just thinking about it. I highly recommend these caterers for your wedding or really any event you want to have great food at!

David and his team did an amazing job for our wedding in 2018. Unfortunately due to too much dancing, both myself and the groom missed the desert table. The food options were plentiful and after much research we found them to be really reasonably priced for what you got. We had more than enough food and everyone commented on how good it was. We hired Sugar Mountain for our wedding, and the food was great and everyone was over the moon for it and sang their praises, especially the cocktail hour charcuterie board. The owners were lovely, and we were really happy that they suggest a custom menu, based on what you like, and it's not just a pick off a generic list option, and they offered more selections of each category, with your purchase. The only thing I would give feedback that could have been improved on, was communication and response time, as I was waiting to hear back via email or phone a few times, and as the wedding was coming closer, and we had our wedding during COVID, there was alot of anxiety and stress to make sure everything was still good and going to go ahead as planned etc. David did get back to me each time though, and did not disappoint with the food one bit, and the serving staff and everyone that worked at our wedding, were absolutely great and wonderful to us and our friends and family.

We had a wonderful catering experience from start to finish for our parents’ Anniversary Party with Sugar Mountain Catering and Chef David. We had a “cocktail dinner” with 12-14 different items for approximately 70 guests at a local winery. At the outset, Chef David and his wife who works with him were responsive and communicated precisely what they could provide and the cost. The price was reasonable, and the menu was very expansive and varied. The event itself went off flawlessly. Sugar Mountain arrived right on time, the service team were universally friendly and professional, and most importantly the food was phenomenal. Without a word of exaggeration, I must have had 40 different guests tell me it was the best catered food they have ever had, and I would have to agree. Through work I probably attend 9-10 “cocktail party” events a year using all of the usual downtown caterers, and Sugar Mountain blew them all away. From more casual items like the meatball sliders, all the way up to very elegant fare such as perfectly seared scallops, lobster perogies with caviar, or the brown butter gnocchi, the food was simply incredible. Not a single miss. And do yourself a favor, check out the pics online of their charcuterie board and their cheese board. People literally gasped in awe when they saw them come out. Planning larger events like an anniversary party or a wedding is incredibly stressful, so do yourself a favor and leave the most important aspect, the food(!), to the professionals at Sugar Mountain. Great service and communication, incredible food, and fair prices. As expected, they are very busy year round, so book early.

Aaaaaaamazing. Dave and his crew are awesome. Short ribs mmmmm short ribs, so good! And the roast beef yorkies ( I'm actually not sure if that is what they are called) I just kept asking for more. Our wedding was "cocktail style", my wife said so, and I believe her. I thought it meant out guests wouldn't have enough to eat. I was so wrong and yes I am admitting my wife was right, just don't tell her, okay?. Dave, I love your food. These guys, yes, choose these guys.

From the first introduction call all the way to the day of our wedding, Sugar Mountain Catering has been a joy to work with. Chef Dave worked with us to create the perfect menu for our wedding, and let me tell you, the food was the biggest hit of the day. Everyone loved the butternut squash ravioli! Many of our guests have asked for business cards, and one of our married couple friends even said they wished they had known about Sugar Mountain when they had gotten married years ago. We genuinely feel that our night would not have been the same had we not had Chef Dave and his wonder team at our wedding. Your hard work was greatly appreciated. Sugar Mountain ALWAYS delivers! Their food is incredible and the service pre-planning and during events is exceptional. Their staff is so on the ball, and takes the amazing food up a few notches with their seamless service. Highly recommend and will use them for every event!

David and his crew worked at our parents' 40th anniversary party this evening and it was fantastic. The food was a hit; everyone was raving about it all night. The staff were making the salmon on site as we needed more so it was super fresh and not dried out. The ravioli was a favorite as was the potatoes au gratin with bacon. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I honestly wasn't expecting them to fill water glasses and bus our plates and cutlery. It gave me the opportunity to enjoy the party more than I was expecting. And we left with four huge tinfoil containers of leftovers... which we are currently eating as a midnight snack. Great vegan option and very accommodating to the mushroom allergy. Thanks David and crew!

As my husband and I were planning our wedding, we had a recommendation for Sugar Mountain Catering and are we ever happy we went with them. Chef David and his wife Jen came to our home the first time we met to cook a few menu items for us to sample. They’re very warm and welcoming and really made us feel like friends sharing a meal together. By the time the wedding came, Chef David and his team knocked it out of the park. I lost count of how many times family and friends commented on how good the food was. We went with the “family style” dinner and it was great! Chef David we can’t begin to thank you enough with how amazing you helped make our wedding! Still dreaming about those butternut squash raviolis. I would definitely recommend Sugar Mountain catering for any event!

David and his team were incredible! One of the best things about having a COVID wedding was that we were able to spend more money on a better meal for our smaller guest list and it was worth every penny. Everything was absolutely delicious, the chicken skewers were so flavorful and moist, the oysters were beautifully presented, and the lamb martinis were to die for. For our entrees, they were perfect and David was kind enough to accommodate the special requests from the Mother of the Bride and my Maid of Honor, which they really appreciated. The service was also phenomenal, David was so helpful and responded to my million emails, and we really appreciated the private tasting he set up so we could select the dishes, it was a difficult decision as everything was so tasty! The servers were so attentive and kind and everyone wore masks and obeyed the COVID measures. Not sure what was better, the service or the food. If anyone is looking for catering for any event, definitely choose David, I'm still dreaming of my wedding meal!

It's not a place where a person can go for a meal. It's for catering only. Food is prepared there by a master chef, his sous chef and prep cooks. They cater events, such as weddings, graduation, retirement, birthday parties...etc.
