Delicious, fresh and healthy food and juice bar. Good value for brunch and lunch. My only gripe and pet peeve is, if you select the auto tip, the options presented are 18%, 20% or 22% (or other). The 15% option would be nice AND the auto tip added was to the total price, not the pre-tax price. Not cool Nuba, we don’t pay tip on tax.

Nice place, the food is tasty however the portions are very small. To be truthful the waitress did tell me that one plate of order would not be enough. So I had a very nice soup and a prawn dish..... Well I still left hungry. The food and a glass of wine set me back by CAD38 which was a tiny bit unexpected. Overall, very nice, professional and honest crew nice ambience but nothing really special, and I think a bit overpriced. Nice experience.

Food is delicious, but portions are somewhat small for the price. Would definitely recommend getting appies to go with your main dishes. The venue is unique, warm, and perfect for a date or family outing. They have a variety of seating options, and the tables are decently far from one another (so no awkward eavesdropping). The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the washrooms are well maintained. Paid (meter) parking out front with free parking about a block or two away (if you’re lucky). Definitely check this place out!

Delicious Lebanese cuisine with a high end twist. Best kept secret is their lamb wrap to go, which is cheap and cheerful and quick n easy. Weekends and Friday nights can be busy, and food is by no means cheap for Lebanese. Very delicious and nutrituous menu with plenty of vegetarian and vegan friendly options.

I appreciate the vegan options and highly suggest the feast. It gives a great variety of dishes and has a decent portion size for the price. This place can get a little busy though and it’s not unusual to have a wait. Also, the service is hit or miss.

A lot great middle east restaurant for veggie and non veggie lovers. I have tried the 3 locations in Vancouver and the food quality is always amazing. The menu is also a bit different from a location to another. The Kits location offers brunch which I think is not the case in the other ones.

Delicious meal tonight at Nuba in Mt Pleasant! An absolute treat. Kombucha above par, generously portioned and well balanced Tabbouleh salad, red lentil soup was thick and heavenly and Chocolate Quinoa cake just a teensy bit crunchy and perfectly paired with cardamom flavours and ice cream.

I know Lebanese food very well, I can see the differences between fresh and old food very clearly. Falafel wasn't fresh at all, roasted potato tasted like mold, I tried 2 pieces both moldy!! Gross!!!! Also food was ice cold!! Will never order again at all!!

I've come here with friends a couple times now and had enjoyed both immensely. The first time we got the large shareable plate for dinner. It was delicious and we got to taste so many different foods. For about $20 each for dinner, it was perfect. At lunch with some other friends, we each got wraps. These were also excellent and had us filled for under $10. I will be going to Nuba again!!

The najib’s special (cauliflower) was super delicious!! I love how we get to choose our base for the lunch plates with choice of organic brown rice, potatoes or mixed. We came in at 7:30 on a Thursday, with a group of 8, and they graciously set up a large table for us. Unbeknownst to me, a 9th person had been invited. The staff were able to accommodate them by adding another table and place at one end. It was no small feat given that they have a small dining area that was completely full. I am close to many people that work in the service industry, so I have an idea of what a huge pain the whole ordeal must have been. From the attitude of the friendly staff, you wouldn't know it. They were extremely accommodating, and the service was top notch. The food was great too! I'll be back, but I'll definitely confirm the number of guests before attending (sorry Nuba staff! you are all wonderful!)

When we finally flagged down a server, they apologized and offered a free piece of baclava. I'd rather have been offered a discount on my original order.

However, it's worth warning that all meat is halal, even the chicken, which isn't actually stated in the menu! I couldn't see anything actual stating this. Thankfully I asked first. Their food tastes decent but that's pretty much the extent of the positives. We ordered La Grand Feast which contained an assortment of meats and spreads. Honestly, the name is a bit insulting and disingenuous. The portion sizes are small, enough for only a few bites for two people. The serving size is closer to one person's worth, yet they charge $35 for it. Food aside, the service is disappointing. We wanted takeout and waited until the app said ready for pickup. When we arrived, there was a lineup of people leading outside the restaurant, all waiting for pickup. We wanted to do a quick in and out since everything was already paid for, but instead ended up waiting over 20 minutes standing outside in the rain. Some of the people lined up didn't have their orders ready yet so they were just waiting inside and we weren't able to go in and grab our order since they had a person limit. While waiting, we also observed they had only one server managing both the takeout line and the dine in customers. Every single person waiting for takeout/pickup couldn't even get any service for awhile because she was so busy. All in all, it was one of the most inefficient setups I've seen for managing takeout.

I have never had poor takeout service, until now. Perhaps, if the large hipster man who took my order got his head out of his a$$ and stopped talking about shoes he might have noticed my order sitting behind him ready to go. It sat there for ten minutes right beside me until I had to ask if it was mine out of frustration. His response, "this dish keeps warm for a while." Thanks Nuba. I did not stick around to explain to him why this was not good service. Food was cold but fine, I've had it before. Poor hiring.

The food, service and vibe have been consistently excellent for years. Great selection of options for pretty much any palate. You can have from mild to spicy, vegan to meat options. Always seems to be really great music playing when I visit this place as well. The only thing that holds me back from a 5-star review is the bathroom. Sometimes you just have to clean the bathroom folks. With bleach. You can't just stick an air conditioner in there and hope that it masks the smell. Highlight was saying to the waitress I've been coming there since they opened and her response was wow that's like before I was born, haha!

Victoria and the entire Nuba catering team are fantastic! We ordered a dips platter for a group event and it did not disappoint. the food was amazing and it was the hit of the night for everyone. I love Nuba restaurant and their catering side will forever be a "Go-to" for me going forward. the hummus is my favorite, the Baba Ghanooj was a little smokey for my liking, but everyone else loved it and the Tzatziki was AMAZINGGG. They have the best Feta in the entire lower mainland too. Nuba rocks it so hard. consider their catering packages and platters for your next group event. my friends and I loved it and I still have some leftovers this week.

We've been using Nuba to handling the catering for all of our work events for a few years now and its fantastic for so many reasons - but one key one sticks out to me: Dietary restrictions! There are so many dairy free, vegetarian etc options available that it makes ordering for large groups super easy. Also - the food is absolutely fantastic and a Vancouver staple.

Found this gem at random my first night in Vancouver, as I'm staying nearby. Ordered take out that was ready exceptionally fast. Had Le Grand Feast, which was plenty of food for 2 people and an amazing meal after a full day of travel. Everything was incredible and delicious! The Feast included: Two course sampler, which includes Le Petit Feast (hummus, baba ghanooj, taboulleh, house made pickled cabbage), fattoush salad, Najib’s Special cauliflower, roasted potatoes, lamb lollipops, prawns with chermoula sauce, and chicken skewers. Be sure to ask for pitas if they don't offer them. And you won't be disappointed.

But, portions are small when you compare with the price. Unfortunately, I was still hungry after having lentil soup and chicken tawook. Incredibly disappointing. I should have read the reviews for takeout before getting excited. I hate to give any restaurant a bad review when so many are struggling with pandemic protocols and modifications but this was just... so bad. We have been supporting the restaurant through takeout as much as we possibly can and, exactly as others stated in their reviews, these folks just don’t have it figured out or just don’t care. Currently, the only highlight of Covid birthdays is the take-out and this was probably one of the most disappointing takeout experiences I’ve ever had. Update: I contacted the restaurant as per the request below from Management but have not had a response... Second update: ???????????? With the new Covid restrictions I had hoped they’d figured out their takeout procedures but, judging by more recent reviews, it sounds like they really haven’t. Such a shame as they used to be one of my favourite restaurants in the city. If you’re craving Falafel, please go up the street to Superbaba where you’ll get fantastic service and food.

Good but not great. Went there on Saturday for mom's birthday and our table was directly in front of the bathroom to watch people going in and out, it was really loud in there, the falafel really didn't have any flavor and the other dishes we got were nothing to write home about. The crispy (not so crispy) cauliflower was delicious but would have been nice of them to acknowledge the birthday in some way. Just expected more flavor.

I love this place as it seems like there are no real healthy food options close to my office. Service can be slow but the food is excellent and quiet healthy. Recommend the plates with brown rice and just ask them to have your dressing on the side or skip it as it's not really needed with all the other bits you get.

The food is a 4, the service is a two, netting a score of three from me. If you don't want to serve people food, then don't. It's that simple. I would say the food is best described as fresh and clean (but not like toothpaste fresh and clean). The hummus is amazing, i don't usually order falafel, but my lunch date (Auntie Helen) did, and it was pretty damn good. I will be back!

We hired Nuba catering for our son’s first birthday. The food was amazing and everything was healthy and fresh so both parents and babes could enjoy. The presentation and portions were also fantastic. I would recommend.

Such a cute place! The Najib’s Special (crispy cauliflower tossed with lemon and sea salt) is my new favourite thing!! Also had pita bread with hummus and baba ghanooj and pickled cabbage. Everything was delicious but just found the pitas a bit dry and not a fan of the baba ghanooj. Also we went during happy hour so our dishes were reduced in cost but if you go during regular hours I feel it’s a bit overpriced because the serving sizes are on the smaller side. Otherwise everything was fantastic & the environment is awesome!

A wonderful middle eastern eatery. The food is fantastic, I had Najib's Special with the daily fresh juice. The cauliflower was perfect and underneath had tasty rice & potatoes. This is my favourite middle eastern restaurant, ever. It is so so so on point. Coffee with rosewater- so fragrant and beautiful. Green juice with lemon, mint and pear. The falafel is made with chickpeas and fava beans, which gives it a very superior texture. Nuba elevates Lebanese food by using the best ingredients available, infusing a little creativity and modernity and getting the details right. And the vegan options are plentiful. I love love love it here!

Nuba catered our work event for 50~ people twice in one day and they were absolutely amazing both times! They offer a wide selection of menu items for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. The portions were HUGE and the food was delicious! What struck me was their attention to detail (for example, ensuring each dish got equal heaping spoonfuls of lamb) while also being so quick with their serving. Our teams got their meals hot and fresh. They also provided individual compostable containers, wrapped pita and sauces to distribute in a food safe manner. Such a positive experience and really recommend Nuba for their catering and food quality!

Ordered steak and kibbeh. Kibbeh was very good but overpriced for the quantity. The steak, however, was horrendous. Ordered 2 steaks medium well, and got 2 very very well done steaks. Dry, bitter, and devoid of flavor. Not even salt or pepper was applied. The very center of 1 of the steaks was passable, if one cut off the charred and dry outer bits. We were given a refund, but we will not return.

I am wildly dissatisfied. We ordered Nuba last night for pick up. Now I understand that evenings can be a bit chaotic. waiting 45 minutes for our order to be prepared is fine. What is not okay is waiting another 27 minutes after arriving at the time specified for pick-up. The waiting area is crammed fulled of people not social distancing and staff are unwilling to even look at you to acknowledge your order is coming or diffuse any of the tension because no one picking up knows whats going on. My other problem is portion sizes. As someone who has eaten in the restaurant the portions are huge and satisfying. I paid 51$ for what was supposed to he a shared feast and Halloumi. The portions were so small we had to go back out and get more food (27$ more). There was one bite of chicken and lamb for each person (not kidding 1 bite each for 2 people). The halloumi had 5 pieces for 15.95! Its wildy outrageous that I can be stiffed like this. I wont be going back and will be advising my friends to do the same until your acknowledge your poor excuse for take out. If anything stop doing take out orders as it seems the only thing its doing is destroying what positive reputation Nuba had.

I ordered skip the dishes from this location and made a point of asking for extra salad dressing on the side i wrote it down in the additional request. However when my food arrived not only did it not have my extra side of dressing but the salad had no dressing on it what so ever. It instead came with hot sauce that i didnt want .. when i called Nuba to bring this to there attention the manager was rude and arguing with me. She Obviously didn’t care nor want to resolve the issue. This manager is ignorant and should not be working in the service industry especially if she can’t read and follow instructions properly. She has no right arguing with a customer when she is in the wrong what an idiot. So my money, time, and food was wasted. So buyer beware if you order from this place and they mess up your order they will not rectify it. Instead ull get some moron on the phone with an Attitude problem

Once our food came out, our water was not refilled and we weren't asked if we wanted to order another drink. The host seemed like a very cheerful and friendly guy though.

I hate when you ask a server what their favourite dish is and they something totally unhelpful like "sir, this is subway, all the subs taste the same" or "i don't work here, I'm the person in line behind you". This Lebanese joint is cool, we dined in and shared three mezze's between two for a light lunch which was okay but not enough to fill you up. The food 100% deserves 5 stars for sure, as well as the decor alongside nice colorful and leafy aesthetics and vibe they have going on in there. The food portions were OK (mixed feedback from different servers) and extremely well presented as you can see, although you'd have better value for money buying two lunch plates as it can be quite pricey for a smaller lunch almost $50 including tax and 15% tip. The food is seasoned to perfection and caters extremely well for veggies like ourselves whilst not sacrificing flavour. Although not sure if it was just me, but the cauliflower Najib's Special was real overrated as I was told there crazy addictive by one of the servers. My justification for three stars was the mixed recommendations as well as when we ordered a third mezze (as when two came it was clearly not enough) that it turned up within 2 minutes and cold. I asked the gentleman if it was meant to be and he said certainly not. The staff prepared a 'fresh' mezze which proved it was a send-back that had been conveniently hanging around. Anyway, long story short the Mjadra (green lentil) when it arrived fresh was actually my favorite and super yummy. You can see the difference in pictures as to how it should look. When it actually arrived as it should, we were also correctly given a side of pita which was not provided the first time! Based on the last points, I wouldn't head back in a rush, recommend and felt pretty 'taken for a joke' when the cold mezze arrived in hope I'd not notice. I hope this was justifying but fair.

I used to love Nuba and have been many times. I hate to be harsh but the last couple of times have been very disappointing. Meals are offered for take out but not for dine-in and my friend and I wanted to support the servers, but were not impressed. The quantity is not worth the cost and the options are limited. You have to spend over $20 regardless of whether you want an appetizer or a lighter meal. I am apprehensive to go back to any location which is a shame because the service is friendly, the environment inviting but the value just isn't there.

Generally I have had a great experience at Nuba. The staff is friendly and food delicious. This time I think the pita was stale and appeared to have early signs of fungus on it (green dots). Hostess suggested that it might have been splatter from something else and that pita arrives fresh every morning. I am not fully convinced that was the case.

I want to love this location. I've given it multiple chances, but it's just so bad. They need to train their staff so badly!!! No table checks, you have to flag down your server to order anything, they will take away the decanter of wine without giving you a chance to order another bottle BEFORE YOUR FOOD EVEN GETS TO THE TABLE.... like hello, this is serving 101 and entry level up-sell. Now I'm a reasonable person, I get when servers are slammed, but this happens when there are 2 servers with 6 small tables in the entire restaurant (including the patio). It's such a shame because when the waitress finally talks to you (while youre paying) she's actually quite lovely. The food itself is very average. The watermelon salad is mostly arugula, and the chicken which they say takes 25 minutes (no problem with that ) will come out 40 minutes later and be the driest thing you've ever had... and you don't even have any wine to wash it down with. sigh

Good, simple, healthy, and many gluten free options! Tried the feast for 2 people at $39 for lunch. A few substitutions necessary to make it gluten free, which were readily offered (such as romaine instead of pita to scoop up the hummus and eggplant puree). It's actually surprisingly filling! Ordered take out. Very disappointing! We had a lamb and chicken platter with a side of meat balls and the humus. The food was ready when they said it would be. The chicken was dry, under-seasoned and overcooked. The humus had very little taste I could not pick up any lemon at all. The potatoes that came with the lamb dish where so dry and tasteless. We have eaten Lebanese food throughout the world and it's one of our favourites. Nuba was disappointing. To be honest the two stars it being generous. Maybe the regular cook was off for the evening.

An interesting "Lebanese" Restaurant with a "funky decor@" Nuba is a "local Chain" [i.e. they have several restaurants located in Vancouver & Victoria. The menus vary somewhat between the restaurants-- but all are "vegetarian friendly". This restaurant's decor is modelled after the 1970's cafe. The food is both varied and interesting... and the service was excellent [our server was "Margaux B."]. We were a small group of 4, and had a variety of appetisers, soup and main course dishes. We were all "more than satisfied". It is well worthy of a visit. I hope that this Review has been helpful.

Great dips and appies. I wouldn't recommend the cauliflower steak though. It's not really a meal, just a giant cauliflower. The Najib's special cauliflower is a better pick as a shared plate.

Nuba is by far my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. Each location is great, but I like the Main Street location because it's eclectic and unique. The food is always fresh and delicious, particularly the Najib's Special crispy cauliflower. They have nice cocktails, wine and beer selections. Nuba has friendly food for all diets, as well.

They cater to so many dietary preferences and needs so being that we are a Naturopathic Clinic with lots of DF/Ve/GF folks, it was so nice having party platters that were appetizing, filling, and suitable for the diversity of dietary requirements. Very disappointed in their service. We arrived at the designated time to pick up our prepared order, but had to wait 15-20 minutes outside in the rain. The reason for this was because their waiting room for takeouts already reached full occupancy due to a max. 3-person policy. We find this inefficient because some of the people waiting inside could be ordering and paying on the spot, and not using an app that would notify them that their order is ready. They would then be taking up the time of those standing outside who actually came when notified that their order is ready, like us. Due to the occupancy policy, we felt we couldn’t just quickly go in and pick up our order straight away. Moreover, no staff member ever came out to check on the people waiting outside. And why did they only have one waitress on New Year’s Eve, who not only handled the takeouts but also the dine-ins? We ordered one La Grand Feast ($35) and the portions were too small for the price. They were enough to feed only one adult. I had to cook something quick on the side to properly feed the two of us. We most likely won’t be coming back to this location.

Service is quick and environment is great. Food's pretty good. Their cauliflower is one of my favourite dishes. The hummus is super delicious and their falafel is my favourite in Vancouver, as it's super moist. The only downside is the portion of the dish. The dish is on the smaller size and their pita bread is lacking depth and substance. I don't come to Nuba anymore, as I enjoy the mediterranean food at Chickpea more. But, still worth a try.

Food is really good, service not so much. Sat down and waited for a server good 15 minutes. It wasn't even busy. Asked questions about the menu and did not get answers. Food came not in order we asked for (not a big deal) and when we ordered desert, the waitress came back after 5 minutes saying "the cake will come with whipped cream instead of ice cream, ok?" Ummm. First, no, thats not okay, and second, thanks for offering something else (she did not) so yea. Therefore the low tip. Still 10% which i hope will go to the kitchen guys anyways.

Love the staff and the food was delicious. Honestly feel like the management staff were very condescending and continued to make me and my family uncomfortable. The staff did a beautiful job to prepare our meal and make us feel as if we were at home (we were visiting from Quebec). It was honestly a beautiful experience and I would not be writing a bad review if I did not feel like I had to. The manager, or whoever was in charge was completely belligerent to the staff, but more importantly made me very uncomfortable with my family. I don't care who you are, but you do not make my twin daughters scared in a place that advertises delicious food. Will not be returning and hope the staff decide to leave and work in a more humane environment where they know it absolutely wrong for a manager to treat other humans like this. Love this place for its gluten free and vegan options. So much variety and flavour. Must try the Najib special! You will not regret it :) Vibe is less pretentious than Gastown location. Definitely suitable for a casual weeknight dinner out. Can easily get enough dishes without breaking the bank.

The Lebanese cuisine is one maybe the most healthy in the world. For the ingredients they use and for the methods of cooking. I'm always looking for a place where I can eat healthy when I'm out, and u totally recommend this restaurant. Its is small, but very pleasant, good ventilation ( one thing that I totally appreciate) and the staff is great! Polite, professional, willing to satisfy your request. Food is delicious. However, for the price, they should give you a larger portion. I usually get the plate and have to add a side to fill me up. I'm a big guy and end up spending around $20 on a meal. Larger portions would get Nuba that 5th star.

Victoria, the Catering Manager, were very helpful and even with some last minute changes, she was able to deliver a great experience to our office party. We had a great experience getting catering from Nuba for our event! Communication was fast and helpful, the pickup was seamless and the food was delicious! We loved the fattoush salad, the roasted squash with chickpeas and the lamb meatballs.

This place has great service and the food was fairly good. Everything is made fresh especially done of their juice drinks. I had their ginger drink and did it have quite the kick. Would of been perfect 5 stars if my wrap want taking apart, it was flaking off. I'm not sure if the wrap was just old or just want warm enough to be wrapped. Besides that, it was a great dining experience.
