Just discovered this little gem!!! Owners are awesome and food is un real. Took som frozen rice, samosa and curry home and heated up and OMG what a feast!!! New West’s best kept secret.

The only reason I rated this low is that I do not recall the name & any place I can not remember must not have impressed me. Could it be the name is a holding company, or corporate owner of a small, fast food take out? That would be more along the lines of what I would eat when I was visiting New West. Unless this was the caterer at, I think, a Legion building I went to for a B’hai faith celebration. In that case, I would not be aware of the name Emerald Catering & I would rate them five stars.

Sri Lankan food can be hard to come by in the Lower Mainland, but Emerald Catering is one of the best and the food is as authentic as it gets. You can tell that they put a lot of love into their food because everything is well seasoned, incredibly flavorful, spicy, and absolutely delicious. Their lamprais is the real deal and better than anything I'd ever had back at home! As for shorteats (Sri Lankan pastries), you can't go wrong with any of them, especially the patties (empanadas). Regardless, I'd give them a 6/5 if I could!

Great place for Authentic Sri Lankan food. Beef roll n Fish patty. Chicken patty. Fish bun. Lamprise (mixed curry with special rice) They have it all. Just call them up before for any orders. Easy access behind and road parking. Very nice PPL and great customer service.

I am so glad to have found this spot! The beef rolls were excellent and Joseph was so warm and friendly. I got the frozen Lampries and Yellow rice can't wait to try them later tonight. 10/10!

Some of the best food we've ever had! Extremely friendly people... allowed my kids to sample to see if they would like.. and oh boy did they like! We followed our noses in Sapperton. We suggest you do the same!
