Good quality food for a reasonable price. Nice presentation and very helpful staff. They stand behind their products and offered another few platters when we mentioned we weren’t totally satisfied with the produce quality. Turnaround time for our orders have always been good. Our guests loved the desserts and cheese trays.

Avoid this place like the plague! Their communications are AWFUL. They will not get back to you in a timely manner, they'll say they can do your event when in fact they can't (and won't tell you until too late). Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. If I could give this negative stars, I would.

My Fiance and I reached out to Austin Gourmet in early 2020 to cater our wedding in May 2020. The reviews looked good, menu options looked great, and the price was right. In the early stages of our experience the staff was keen and attentive when answering our questions and setting up the service. We paid out deposit in early March 2020 before the pandemic shut down services. That was when communication broke down. Our wedding was in May 2020 so we decided to wait a bit to see what would happen as it was going to be small and outside. In late March through to mid-April, when it became clear we would have to postpone, we began emailing, calling, leaving voice-messages, and checking the website and Facebook for any updates. After three weeks of multiple contact attempts the owner got back to us with an unprofessional response ignoring many questions and concerns we had. After we responded we did not hear back from him for another month. I understand that the pandemic has been difficult on businesses but much of the stress on both ends could have been avoided if there was clear communication about how Austin Gourmet was responding to the pandemic and instructions for customers who had dates booked and already paid their deposits. We spoke to a staff member three months later who kindly tried to refund our deposit but it was declined by the owner. We will be walking away and using another company in the future. If you value good communication, especially during these uncertain times, stay away from Austin Gourmet.

Our experience with them was very good. They have a large menu with a variety of different selections so there is no shortage of choices. The taste and value of the food is also phenomenal. Also, the tasting was superb! We went to a few caterers and this was done very nicely compared to the others. The only issue was near the end of our wedding dinner service some of the entree options ran out so some of the guests weren't able to try some of the food, that's the only reason I gave them 4 stars. There was an abundance of appetizers and desserts so that area was never an issue. They also left the kitchen they used very clean and exactly to how the venue wanted it!

We used Austin Gourmet for our corporate lunch and learn for the first time in January 2018 and was not disappointed! The BBQ Beef Brisket was tender and flavorful. Excellent pricing and selection. Our client even mentioned that the delivery person was very polite and courteous. We will definitely be ordering from Austin Gourmet again.

Austin Gourmet catered two charity events for our Society. The food was delicious, there was plenty of it, and a good selection. Our guests loved it. The service was excellent and very professional. Communication with the staff before and during the event was good, and we enjoyed working with the team. Very reasonable prices. We definitely would be working with them again in the future!

It was my dads surprise 60th birthday, I had been talking to the front desk staff about my ordered and they took a while to get back to me, I had to keep inquiring if they received my order and kept making sure they had everything on the list. On the day of the party they didn't bring everything that I ordered, I asked specifically for serving spoons and chafers (buffet style) to keep the food warm, they weren't even going to deliver because they were concerned with the snow and wanted to meet me at the bottom of the hill. Eventually came and delivered 30 mins after the agreed time with missing food, chicken was dry, rice was in clumps, bread was hard. No serving utensils or the chafers to keep the food warm, they didn't even ask me when to come back to pick up their dishes. Poor service and quality of food. I've been asking for a refund and an invoice for each item that I have paid for and they still have yet to get back to me.

Austin Gourmet was great! We used them for our company party a few weeks ago and they arrived in a timely matter to set up the amazing food that we had ordered. Everything was delicious and I heard a lot of great feedback from my coworkers. They also have great customer service and reply back to emails almost immediately. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

We were really satisfied after our tasting at Austin. Everything is perfect, the food is amazing and well priced. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. My complaint (and subsequent star loss) stems from their parking and location. Hooo boy they need to get their landlord on that or something. There are not nearly enough parking spots for all of the businesses there, and getting out is a ridiculous endeavour on a busy street.

I worked for Austin Gourmet in September and still wait for my cheque. If you cant pick up your cheque in person (and seriously why you should have to do that at all) its like impossible to get your money you worked for. Dont hire them, they dont care for their staff!

I WORK WITH AUSTIN GOURMET and i love everyone that works there they are amazing so kind and understanding type of people. The owner and his family are fun loving and so respectful. the staff work so hard and they love what they do for so many people they really are a special group to have catering for you!

We used Austin Gourmet for our coprorate AGM and the service from the time we ordered to the end of the event and clean up was excellent. The event coordinating staff were really helpful in planning our menu and answered all our questions and even gave pointers for event day. The food was fantastic and the service staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Many of the reviews from the 126 people who attended were on the quality of food. We will definitely be using them again for our corporate functions.

We ordered their Grap & Go platters for a 60th Birthday gathering. Their reviews were great but I was so disappointed. So many items were missing that I called to see if I received the wrong order. No blue cheese or goats cheese (marble cheese was a plenty I don't consider gourmet), ham & roast beef were missing (substituted some terrible meat that I threw out) , no hummus, jelly, mustard, toast points, flat breads, no pickled beans or artichokes. I only ordered 3 platters and all were incomplete. We also ordered hot food which was great. But when I called they were vaguely sorry and just said they were out of items. Suggested a reduction on my next order! I called to talk to the owner but he didn't bother to call back.

Austin Gourmet has provided catering services for our wedding last week (2 Aug,2015). We had quite a variety of food including full roasted Pig, which tasted so great and was presented in the best way possible. Everyone who ate enjoyed every single bite. We discussed all of the food we like and ideas of what we could serve at the wedding. The Austin Gourmet team is very conscious of making sure their food is fresh and in season. They had come up with a great idea for the salad as display for when all our guests walked in. It looked beautiful and tasted delicious. Everyone loved the appetizers and the dinner options. Our Menu was: Appetizers: Smoked salmon canapé, keish, chicken satees, bacon wrapped scallops.... Salads: Emperes Salad, Greek salad, southwest potatoes, tortellini pesto..... Main course: roast winter veg, rice pillouf, roasted artisian potatoes, spinach ricotta cantolenni with rose sauce, roasted lamb, swedish meatballs, chicken parmesan, and Roasted pork..... Yummmm... everything was so great and delicious.... Besides amazing food we had a great always smiling and helpful servers I highly recommend Austin Gourmet to everyone...

We have used Austin Gourmet twice in the past couple of years for our yearly Christmas party. They have excellent food, great pre-organized packages and their staff was considerate and friendly. We would recommend them for you next event. Catering sure takes the pressure off of the host, and unless you are Martha Stewart, I recommend to hire Austin Gourmet!

YOU CAN PAY WITH CREDIT CARDS BUT THEY DO NOT DO REFUNDS ON CREDIT CARDS. I placed lunch for my staff for 24 people and within 20 minutes of placing an order I had to revised it to 18 people. I thought since the order wasn't due for delivery for another 4 days, that the revising for the charges should be done but When i called back to she had already charge my credit card. She stated she did not know how to reverse the charges and she will ask someone to follow up on this. On the day of food delivery i called to confirm our lunch delivery but all operators were busy and requested me to leave a message, which i did and asking for call back to confirm delivery but no call back. i called into my work to ask my staff if lunch was delivered and they did confirm it was delivered. The very next day i got an email invoice with full charge of 24 people not the 18 people and once again i called and still no operators were available, so once again i left another message requesting for call back. 5 days later still no call back so i decided to email them and so far no reply. It is very frustrating when mistakes are made yet no urgency to correct it. I have to say food was good and my staff did really enjoy it but with this bad experience, i won't order from them again. Update: They emailed me to advise me that they do not do credit card refunds, even tho i paid on my MasterCard. I am still waiting for how they will refund the difference. Several emails send yet still no reply and I am left still waiting....Original order date Jan 21,2019 and today March 8, 2019 still NO REFUND:( March 19- sent them an email regards to refund and still no reply. I don't understand how they think this is okay. Finally got my refund by cheque and I found out that the whole time it was the owners sister that was doing this. They were unapologetic about the whole situation and didn't care to rectify it in a timely manner.

I waffled about writing a review... but it’s been long enough! We hired this company for our wedding (November 2018) and almost all communication was done via email, which is fine. I have a deadly citrus allergy and requested no citrus on the fresh fruit plates, and to change the citrus vinaigrette to something else and was very very VERY clear (repeatedly) that I was deathly allergic to oranges and citrus and needed to verify they did not have any citrus in or on any of the food. They assured me they would make sure there was no citrus. When their delivery person came by and started unloading the platters, while verbally confirming with us there was no citrus and they had notes everywhere there was to be no citrus and absolutely no oranges, the fruit platter was literally a pile of oranges. He was handing us a tray of oranges while verifying there were no oranges. The dressing couldn’t be trusted, nor could the apple peach cobbler, so I was not able to eat anything except the mac and cheese (positive note: it was amazing Mac and cheese). The chicken that was supposed to be southern fried chicken was just pressed, breaded frozen chicken fingers. The apple and peach cobbler wasn’t fully cooked and was mostly raw dough. We contacted this company via phone and email and kept getting told by the same guy that a manager wasn’t available but they’d call back. They offered us $150 credit towards our next event with them. The bill was just over $1000 and 1/2 of the food was not cooked properly and it also contained the one ingredient they knew would kill the bride and they expected us to hire them again...? Really? A manager never called back After a couple weeks, we finally said we’d be leaving a bad review and letting people know what experience we’d had with them and suddenly this guy (the same one) WAS the manager and could refund us and we got 1/2 our bill refunded (the cost of the fruit, the cobbler and then $150 for almost killing me). I definitely would not recommend this company due to poor communication, unprofessional behaviour from the “manager” (don’t know if he was the manager or not), and poor quality food for uncooked cobbler and soggy frozen chicken fingers. The delivery guy was very friendly, though!

We used them for a wedding and they were FANTASTIC. The food we selected was superb. They catered on a timely manner and EVERYONE loved the food. I would highly recommend his for a large gathering. Very flexible for changing total people attending as well.

After trying for 6 weeks to book them for our wedding we finally gave up. Either they wouldn't respond to emails or return calls. The food looked good so we figured we would still choose to work with them although they wouldn't let us do a tasting until January when we inquired in November. Eventually they told us to call after January because their menu was changing. We called to arrange a tasting and they weren't able to accommodate us at all. They werent able to give us a price or anything either. Just really bad customer service.

My best friend used this caterer for her small, intimate, exquisite wedding. Everything was done by her friends and family, and was perfect in every way. The one thing “outsourced” to a professional was the catering. First and most importantly, she has a severe allergy to citrus, and the caterer was advised of this very clearly and committed to whatever substitutions and precautions were necessary. However when the food was delivered, there was citrus all over the fruit plate. This threw the safety of the other dishes into question - had the citrus been prepared near the other dishes? Had citrus sprayed into the (admittedly good) Mac and Cheese or the salad or the chicken or the (half-cooked, terrible) peach cobbler? Was the salad dressing citrus free as promised? Therefore the bride couldn’t actually eat hardly anything at her own wedding. And...soggily-breaded likely-oven-cooked chicken fingers for a Southern Fried Chicken and Waffles dish? Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Thanks, McCains, for your contribution to the wedding feast?? One note: the young man who delivered the food was wonderful and appropriately appalled by the citrus fiasco. However there as been no apology from the company and only a very half-hearted effort at restitution (“how about we give you a credit towards your next event with us?!” Yeah no thank you, that’s not happening.) Congrats to anyone who has had a positive experience with this company.

Although we ended up needing to make other arrangements in the end, I want to commend Yasmin and the team at Austin for being so professional and helpful in helping provide info for getting a quote, as well as being very informative about the rules / regulations for film set catering when it comes to union requirements. When the time comes when we need to source a catering service, we will definitely reach out to Austin just based on this professionalism alone! :)
