Here you will see all the feddbacks of people who buy the services of Shriji Catering And Takeout (Catering) in Brampton (Canada).
Now the business receives a rating of 4.1 out of 5 and the score has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can see its rating is quite positive, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we can say that the valuation is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are satisfied, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Catering corresponds to the category of Indian restaurant.
Decent vegetarian place but their spicy samosas are my favourite
This my go to place for Gujarati food. From vada pav, khakra, thepla to kaathiyavadi thali, you get everything here. My personal favourites are baingan ka bharta and lasan waale aloo(they are both hot) in kaathiyavadi thali that they serve on Sundays. I like their vada pav, dhokla and thepla too. I pick up their food most of the times.
Gujju food and gujju feel to it's best. I especially love the Gujarati samosas, theplas and methi puri.
The staff is amazing and helpful... They have a variety of snacks and dishes for Gujaratis around GTA..! Loved the food...
The customer service is pathetic & crap. I wish I could give zero star. The Bluetooth guy is really rude and thinks he is very smart. Even the old uncle doesn't use his brain. What is the use of good food. Food should be made with good intentions and thoughts. Even though food tastes good , this is not the place one should dine in. I am confident all five star reviews are written by their own family..
Love love love their spicy samosas and masala chai. We always drop by for a quick chai (tea) and samosas when we are shopping around.
Excellent food a home away from home for all the people who fancy home made food and crave for the taste of pure gujarati style!!! Almost tried everything on the menu and not dis-appointed yet.
Awesome food
But check your order before you leave ???? They miss small side chutney sometimes. I ordered Gujrat style samosas, batata-vada, Dahi vada & kachori chat.
Dinner
Who takes 25 mins in making tea ?????
This is possibly the worst place for take out. The guy at the front counter was extremely rude and had so much attitude. He didn’t know how to handle customers. The food was okay. The place isn’t recommended at all.
I ordered khasta kachori and I loved it!!
Great hygiene, delicious food and excellent prices. I love this place.
Really disappointed. I wish there is option to give negative ratings. Feels like Food was served from freezer. “Cold pavbhaji” yes thats true.
Authentic Gujarati food !! Worth the price and taste reminds me of my hometown ????
Decent taste.. Looks Clean. Of course they are friendly too. I was given Hot Parata in a Plastic reusable plate. we ended up eating a little plastic unknowingly. If they ensure this is not happening any longer with others, I am sure its a nice shop to go.
Dont go based on the picture. The pictures look good an authentic. The eat in plates are not like shown on the picture. They serve you good on the Foam Plates with a plastic spoon. i could not eat the food as I get uncomfortable with the foam plate scratching sound while eating with that spoon on a foam plate. There used to be another restaurant at this place. They were good.
Delicious Gujarati Food. Must try Spicy Gujarati Samosa????
This place brings all the good memories of Ahmedabad in Canada loved all the different varieties of food available. Try out everything
Gujarati Food was awesome. Too much oil is the only negative thing about food.
A friend of ours ordered undhiyu from here and it tasted amazing!! Not too oily and delicious!
I came in and bought the dal. The dal is just water no taste, nothing. It was like pouring water on rice.
SHRIKHAND AND MOTICHUR LADOO IS DELICIOUS FROM SHRIJI...
Rude behave with employers. Not giving salary on time and make arguments on time of payment.
Try spicy samosa and undhiyu here
Delicious gujarati food. Fresh and tasty. Nice service everytime
must try thepla's especially garlic and spicy... my favorite. Aunty makes such a great food with her own hands. I'm sure i love her hands more than her itself.....:)
There are very few authentic Gujarati restaurants in the GTA. Most of the restaurants where you eat Indian food comes from the Northern/Punjab region of India. Lately we have a trend of South Indian/Sri Lankan restaurants and foods. All the above are good, but unique is the Gujarati food which comes from the Gujarat state/province of India. At this location there used to be a Gujarati buffet which closed down and this Shriji has opened a few years ago. Finally made the trip to this place. The thali consists of 2 vegetable dishes out of the four available, a daal/lentil or a kadhi (spiced yogurt soupy dish) and either rice or Khichdi (a mushed rice and green mung connotation). We took one tendli/tindora/ivy gourd curry with potatoes and a Oondhiyoo (a variety mixed Vegetables with a chickpea flour stuffed with fenugreek/methi and spices dumpling) and the daal and rice. The thali also comes 3 chappatis which are unique in the sense they are flat bread made on tawa/griddle. The chappatis are supposed to be paper thin and when cooked properly fluff. The tendli and potatoes were spiced to perfection, the potatoes slightly over cooked, but great. The Oondhiyoo (if translated means upside down) was great and had tons of veggies but very few dumplings/moothiya very few. Spiced correctly. All Gujarati dishes have a slight sweet taste as well because the guud/jaggery/hard raw rock brown sugar. The only downside on the dishes were that they were too oily/greasy. Would prefer if they cooked with less oil. Asked for fried green chillies in the side, but they turned out to not spicy at all (not their fault, natures, BTW). The chappatis were 10/10. Perfectly cooked, paper thin and had the customary two layers (proof that they puffed). Could have those 365 days! For those who haven't tried these highly recommend to try. The Indian naans are traditionally not cooked in every households, but chappatis are, but the Gujarati chappatis are the best and here they reflected the true chappatis. We also ordered 4 Bajara Rotlas - Pearl Millet thick chappatis made again on a griddle. They sold by pairs (2/$2). They were amazing as well. For those who love ancient grains, these are a MUST TRY. A perfect place for take out, although sit is not bad. No table service. The self serve area was clean. Hindi songs in the background. Typical. Also want to try Jowar Rotlas next time. Sorghum thick chappatis. Another ancient grain if you haven't tried Gujarati style.
Great place for Gujarati food. Quality and service is top notch with ample options. The old guy behind the counter is always helpful
I have been going to Shriji from the last 2 years, the Gujarati food is outstanding. The staff are friendly and they know how to treat any customer. Try the Gujarati spicy samosas, Methi Thepla and any sabji that’s displayed.
I love this place when i m hungry and wanna eat indian food ????????
Food was fresh and delicious the servers were very polite and courteous I enjoyed this restaurant and will return to try out other items on their menu! I would recommend this restaurant to people that what to try different styles of Indian food. The only downside is that the restaurant is vegetarian so people might get discouraged into trying new things.
The best gujarati food in town..I being a surti is very fond of gujarati food and shriji satisfies my craving for that. They have never let me down with their taste. I have ordered food from them on number of occasions, be it for my office party or usual family thing. Everything they have is best but undhyu and kadhi khichdi are on the top of my list. And just to add my wife is an even bigger fan of shriji food than I am.. ????????????
Good food
Best Gujrati food in Ontario. Try the Khandvi, Samosas and Dahi wada.
awesome food and test full ????
I love their spicy samosa and masa last chai. Give them a try!!!
Good place to have authentic Gujarati snacks.
Best place for tasty, pure veg gujarati food!
Truly Indian traditional Gujarati test with neat testy food very good service
Probably the best place which serves apdu gujarati food :)
Good vegetarian only place , fast orders
Their rotis are really good but I have definitely had better Shrikand st other places. The food is decent and well priced. It can get quite crowded for takeout so it is better to order ahead. There is place to eat-in but it's nothing fancy.
Fresh and reasonable gujju food
Delicious Authentic Gujarati Food! From meals to a wide variety of tasty snacks and desserts. Undhiyu is tastiest dish I have eaten here. Everything else is tasty too. Good and healthy food and quick service. Curries are slightly overpriced but worth the taste.
It is a good place to eat fresh vegetarian food, sweets, tea and India.
Taste same as indian taste. Sooo good and delicious. ????
Nice place to have Indian food and snacks specially Jain food . I would recommend try the Katiyawadi Thali available only on Sunday good food..
This guys are serving really bad food some times. I ordered food from skip. All food was served cold and stale ( vasi ). We ordered sev khamni and it was smelling bad and tasted bad too frankly worst gujarati food ever.
Happened to witness the worst customer service. When we saw the way the elderly owner of this dilapidated joint treated his customers on Dushera 2017, we just walked out. If you are planning to be there, you have to be thick skinned and be ready to be insulted.
Review write up is pending. Shortly write the review and explain why it's 1 star.
Highly unprofessional and unethical Place. Food order in advance and they forget order and then other guy says they sold it to someone else. also they force you to pay cash with incentive of saving tax!!!
One of the best Samosa, very good stuffing.
Unsatisfactory experience. Worse food. We ordered vatidal khaman along with vadapav and dabeli today. After coming at home while I was serving to my family found nothing is hot even packed very badly instead of foil it was wrap in plastic. found bed bug in khaman.
This is the perfect place for Gujarati food. I have tried a lot of things from here. You will get the best samosa from here. I have tried samosa from lot of place but this is the best place I found for samosa. They have 2 types of samosa. Spicy and medium. They both were perfectly cooked and the filling was so delicious. Other than samosa, i have tried dalvada, methi gota, khandvi, khaman, thepla, undhiyu puri. I didn’t like dalwada much. The taste and texture I found bit different from usual dalwada. Methi gota was so good- perfectly cooked(the outer layer was crispy and soft from inside). Khandvi, thepla and khaman was great. I would recommend this place. Its worth trying. I also tried jalebi fafda combo in dashera. Jalebi was so nice. And kadhi was just awesome. I loved both jalebi and fafda. The papaya chutney was also good.
Very authentic Indian - Gujrati food...!! Amazing staff and very pleasant customer service. Very genuine people - always delivered the catered food on time and warm. No complaints..!!
This place is just awesome!! Can't say enough
Best Gujarati food in the Toronto area!
It's nice Indian Gujarati fast food and lunch dinner place.
Excellent food, superb homely taste, always fresh ....
TASTY FOOD, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! 1. Extremely poor customer service for past couple of months. 2. Incompetent staff, rude to all customers while taking orders as well as when order is ready 3. I was made to wait for 20 mins for 4 samosas.. which I could see are available behind the counter. While my other order of Pav bhaji was ready, the samosas were purchased by other clients. The New Boy who’s been managing for past couple of months bluntly lies that Samosas were not available to begin with, and without apologizing returns me cash for the samosas. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON. 4. Another instance, when we opened the bag at home, the samosas were missing half portion and were burnt. VERY DISAPPOINTING! 5. Recently they have started thuggin customers by giving half filled chutney with samosas!! Seriously?! Saving in Chutney!! How pathetic!! NOW I EVEN DOUBT THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD!!
It certainly gets your the Gujarati feel you crave for. But not the taste of the region. But their efforts are visible and definitely worth a try!
They've got the best indian-style spicy samosas in town. I absolutely love them, a must try!
My initial review was 5 star back in 2019 but since my last few visits they have compromise with food quantity, quality and their price. (Price is ok as groceries are bit more expensive but the main concern is quantity and their customer services. Their tone of talking with customer have changed drastically and sometime it feels to be very rude. I am not sure if that might by usual for them but it need to be improved. Again their taste for product is good but not the same when they initially started the business. Hope they take this as a feedback and improve the service next time.
Shriji has the best samosa in GTA.The food is tasty and reasonable in rates. The only thing that they need to work on is the oil quality and proportion.
One of the most economical yet tasty pure vegetarian restaurants around in Brampton.
Service
love the variety in their vegetarian only menu. seems like a family business. friendly staff.
Very disappointed with food. Will not recommend this place to anyone.
Amazing service Great staff Best food Very clean place
Please keep less spicy
All time favourite place. We always drive from North york to Brampton specially to eat. Spicy samosas are so tasty.
Dhoklas to die for! Amazing amazing food, and by far the best dhoklas I’ve ever had
Food is great. Customer service and information over phone is inaccurate
Best Gujarati food in the Toronto area!
We bought Thali food. Food is very hot and spicy. Not good for stomach. Chapatis were fresh and soft.
Food here is really good. We have catered from them a couple of times. Food tastes very authentic and delicious. Highly recommend this place. Great customer service. Food proportions are fair compared to the price.
It's your average everyday place specializing in Gujarati food. Certainly not worth the 5 stars & all the hype around it but not as bad as the 1 star reviews either.
Take out
One of the best home taste Gujarati restaurant. Spicy Samosa’s are their specialty.
The staff is amazing and helpful... They have a variety of snacks and dishes for Gujaratis around GTA..! Loved the food...
Not satisfied. We are in hurry. So, we tried to place an order over phone to save our time, but in response they mention that whatever you would like to order we have ready to go. Just come in and take it. After we reached over there , we didn't find any single item ready. Very disappointed. In addition, pav bhaji was cold, samosa without chutney.
We ordered food for 80 people - everyone loved it - everyone eat their hearts out! It was fantastic - hardly any leftovers!
The food here is great. Authentic Indian taste. Great place for catering
The food was freshly cooke and the taste is delicious. Definately must visir for vegetarian Indian food
Nice Gujrati stuff. Specially Samosas.
Best Gujarati Restaurant in canada i guess. You must try Undhiyu and chai here
Delicious food, amazing service. This place is a must try.
Their food is really yummy. Never disappoint us
I love this place when i m hungry and wanna eat indian food ????????
“SHRIJI Foods and Catering”The absolute best place for most delicious Guajarati food , sweets and snacks. My son and daughter in law picked up my family’s favourite Samosa, kachori and Gujarati Dal. I will give 10/10 all item. The taste of food will help you to remember your home-made food specially for Gujarati people. Best service and perfect environment for foody people. They also have sign at door for~ “Take care of yourself and each others for limit to spread of Covid-19.”
Awesome Gujarati food especially the daal. Must try. The restaurant is not too clean but food was outstanding.
We take chapatis from this place. Always stale and looks like they are frozen ones. Their bataka wada and methi wada were stale and lacking taste. The vegetables kept at the counter are always completely drenched in oil. I dont understand why these people feel that by using large quantity of oil, the food will taste good. Avoid buying any chaat items like samosa chaat, bhel, kachori chaat. It only contains lousy green chutney. Same taste for all these items. This place is a complete rip-off. Will never go back again. Avoid at all costs.
delicious gujarati dishes and snacks. I have ordered 6 gujarati thali and tried different snacks ,it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely like to go this place again and again.
So far so till now, The food and staff is good. Recommend all to give a try to different food!????
The best khaman I've ever had
Really crap customer service.... food is only good for a few hours...... i dont think they prepare fresh everyday.
Delicious Gujarati Food. Must try Spicy Gujarati Samosa????
Must visit for tasty Gujarati food
Very bad attitude of employee, they would close 10 min. before closing time after you went inside the store. I wish i could give zero star…. ????????????????????
Good food, they accept catering orders for your house parties/gatherings. The food is delicious and as promised.
Best authentic gujarati food restaurant.
Brunch
They have absolutely best Dhokla and its a must try. Also, they renovated their entire place so its way more safe and clean.
Great Cuatomer Service and always eager to Serve. Dharmendra is awesome with his Cistomer Sefvice skills. The food is fresh and love the Masala Chai!
Got exactly what I needed! Everyone loved the Khaman that we ordered - spicy & plain! Fast and reliable service as well!
Waited 20 minutes just for one tea. It should not take that long.
On a Saturday evening at 6:30 almost all food service containers were empty. Just about managed our 4 Gujarati thalis. Food was too too spicy with the addition of all the green chillis available in Brampton. Cold food, the service person went to search for the lids after he had filled the containers. The taller older of the two young men is rude and curt. The only saving grace were the hot fresh phulkas. Worst was cold kadhi - Khichdi. Worst undhio on the earth.I can go on and on. NEVER AGAIN !! was a complete waste of my 60 $.
Worst SERVICES, Worst FOOD quality, Worst Attitude always makes mistakes in orders. And if you be kind enough to provide genuine feedback they disconnect your call saying we have many customers you are not the only one. STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO NOT GO FOR IT.
They have several items which I would like to try again. The Pav bhaji I ordered was amazing and tasted delicious .So,I thought of ordering some other food item from their Menu (undhiyu)the other day but I was disappointed that they served me cold food though the food was delicious but it should have been better if served hot .But I felt that the employee’s are really hardworking in this restaurant ,so sometimes mistakes do happen at the perfect places too .so I didn’t mind if by mistake they gave me cold food one time but please make sure that people who come here get the quality food served hot as per restaurant standards which overall would be a great experience for everyone
Decent place for Gujarati food. Loved the Thali.
Very limited options of curries during week days. Two starts just for a nice puranpoli (Gali rotali)
They suppose to close at 6.30….As door were open, I entered sharp 6.20 pm Sunday on Rakshabandhan day , I have been told rudely 3 times by waving hand that they are closed… well I was just there to get some petish, where they had it about 30 on shelf… Well I didn’t speak any word by that time… As I was hiding back to car, I heard noise from pickup waiting customer (can u pack 12 petish) and same guy said oh yeah hamna kari dau…. If u r really closed, close the doors… Well if store front really need to learn some manners and customer service… if they can’t take the work load/ owner load quit the job rather going hard on customers… Agree with one of the review that, these are paid or retative requested 5-stars….
The best samosas u can ever find in Brampton. They have a option for spicy and mild and both are worth the price. 100% buy. The prices of sabzi and rice is a bit too high compared to the container size. I visit this place only for samosa. Not worth the price of curries.
Wide variety of fresh & dry snacks, ready to eat meals, affordable prices, quick friendly service
Nice place to have Indian food and snacks specially Jain food . I would recommend try the Katiyawadi Thali available only on Sunday good food..
Were really excited to have their Khaman and we even called them on our way & asked them if they had Khaman and they said yes.Unfortunately, when we got their they ran out of it…we ended up ordering Pav Bhaji and other items…the Pav Bhaji was literally cold…(Just not worth it) Paid $70 and the food wasn’t even that good.
Good Gujarati authentic food.only problem is its expensive compare to quantity served
They have absolutely best Dhokla and its a must try. Also, they renovated their entire place so its way more safe and clean.
Best place to have some Gujarati food. They have most kinds of snacks like Khaman , Patra , Aluwada, Pettis, Leelva Kachori, Dalwada , mix Bhajiya , Dalwada, methi Gota , samosa , Khandavi and much more.... I love their Pettis, Khaman and Sandwich Dhokla... They also serve Gujarati thali but I never tasted it yet but it's review was good also. Recommend it.
Best Gujrati food in Ontario. Try the Khandvi, Samosas and Dahi wada.
Perfect place to stop by, for sweet...
Service - quick and to the point. The young guy of the front was clear about the menu and availability and even with back to back customer rush, was calm and handling every customer calmly. Food was served quickly and hot + with a smile. Food - authentic Gujarati taste n flavor. The moment you walk in the store you get the typical Gujarati misthan / farsan store smell. Food tasted perfectly spiced and quantity / quality is justified against price - good value for money. Highly recommended. Going back again for sure.
Delicious Gujarati food. You can also find many options for snacks.
Please keep less spicy
Top quality and taste. One of the best Gujrati Kathiyawadi food (Little on Spicer side). I have never tasted there Sweets so I don't know. Enjoy!!
Very tasty Gujarati food We can hardly find authentic pure like homemade GUJARATI food outside of India. It's take lots of hard work and patience to work in kitchen and in the restaurant We always order cater and always have take out or snack it's very tasty Recommended to everyone who likes home made kind of food from outside
The best testing good food, excellent staff , many food items for selection. Very clean and organized.
This place is dope!!! Best place to get Authentic Gujarati Food!
classic indian style gujrati dhokla of diff flavours. superb place and service is quite fast.
Best indian food ever had.. A real taste of india..kesar shreekhand was amazing.. Thanks for serving the best food.. keep it up.. Definitely recommend everyone..
Gujrati snaks are really good. I feel like I am eating from India. Taste is similar to one I use to get from Gujrat
Love the food here. I got Fafda and Jalebi today. The best Gujarati you could have in Toronto. Thanks guys for the good food. Keep at it
If you love gujarati food, this place serves almost everything what you can eat with great taste
Worst service, 5 minutes turn into half sn hour, they have no sence of first come first serve, their samosas are good but they flatly say they ran out of them. And yeah most importantly they can tell you we're closed anytime of the day. Ignorance and negligence at its best.
We ordered kathiyawadi food for my son’s birthday party. It was awesome just like indian restaurant.every food item is perfect .quantity and quality both are too good.price is reasonable.awesome
I had gone to this restaurant to get samosa and they told me to wait 10 mins, the 10 mins turned into 25 which i still didn't mind because i was going to get fresh product. once i got home i was eating the samosa and found hair in the samosa. i called the restaurant to complain about the hair in my food, the manager did not once say sorry or try fixing the problem. i asked for a refund and they said they will send me a etransfer which i never received. this place has really bad customer service and food quality.
Pathelic, extra spicy. If I had an option to give them 0, I would have done so. I used to like their Thali but since the last few times, the thali ( Undhiyu, Daal especially) were extra spicy. This level of spiciness is actually dangerous to one’s health. There’s only one level of spiciness- extra spicy. No one even bothers to ask before taking the order. I would never go back again. Thumbs down 100%
some great variety of gujju foods and snacks must try lilva kachori and undhiyu
Delicious Food .....
Shop here only if you're Gujrati. They discriminate against anyone and everyone who does not speak their language, Absolutely ill-mannered person works on their counter. There were around 10 people inside the store when I visited there. This guy on the counter asked me to wait outside. I understand that due to covid they have a limited number of people allowed inside but definitely not ten customers at a time. I did wait and as soon as one person came out I did enter and they allowed the guy behind me and started helping them.. I assumed it was a mistake but then I noticed that they were allowing other customers to come in and I was asked to wait again. So I asked them if they have any priority queue. Instead of accepting that it was a mistake the guy on the counter arrogantly yelled and said okay sorry, I asked him does he recognize what he did wrong and he said and he didnt do anything wrong. Meanwhile, owner along with 5-6 other staff came and no one was ready to accept the mistake. There was a nice lady from the customer's queue tried to explain to them but they were not even ready to listen. I don't support any discrimination towards anyone and I won't accept being discriminated against. Please do not support such businesses to make it a common practice to discriminate in society. If they are only targeting customers from a certain region or community they should have advertised like that and believe me I would have never visited that place.
Took kaju katri and mix sweets boxes. Both tasted really bad...not freshly made at all and such unprofessional packing..
Food is great. Customer service and information over phone is inaccurate
Guy make rush for sale , with Orders, 2 thing are missing when called they said chatni is not coming with . I don’t recommend this place
Best authentic gujarati food restaurant.
Veey tasty food.. must visit
Brought Fafda and dabeli yesterday ,I tried it first tym .Dabeli taste like old stuff and Fafda was tasteless .
Sandwhich Dhokla - Good Khamani - Perfect Samosa - The filling is tasty and spicy unlike other places which is made of potato and chilly flakes Kathiyawadi Thali- All veggies tasted different and nice. Lasooni aloo had excess oil. Undhiya was good but I have had beter one at Gujarati Sweets. Kaju Kathri - It was ok not the best item Overall it is good but expect food to be on the spicy side and some extra oil
Normally, I like their food but my last experience was bad. Food I bought, one item was not eatable we have to throw it away. I hope they will take care and verify food quality before selling it.
Loved its food.
One can get pure Gujarati vegetarian food. Very reasonable rate. Its home made
From my experience, Expensive..Less quantity..Accepted only debit card..
Dinner
We bought Thali food. Food is very hot and spicy. Not good for stomach. Chapatis were fresh and soft.
Fresh and reasonable gujju food
Very superb food God bless u all
Testy food. Awesome customer service
Highlights: - Reasonably priced - Ample Free Parking space - Usually Crowded - The spicy samosa is NOT really spicy, so you can safely go for it. - They have two types of dhokla, so ask for the khamam which is sweet & sour & watery (the other one is savory & dry) Visited here on a recommendation and this is a small Gujarati food outlet with hot food counter, Gujarati fresh cooked snacks like Dhokla, Khamam, khandvi, Samosa & Jalebis. They also have packed dry snacks to be served & eaten with tea/coffee. My love for gujarati food raised the bar so high that I found the food quality alright here. Could be better since its a traditional gujarati place, owned & run by a Gujarati family and I found it alright. Recommended. Enjoy!
Must try pav bhaji. Better than honest restaurant.
It was our first time but we are sure it won't be the last. The Thali was sumptuous, excellent quality and taste.
World Best Fafda Jalebi, specially on Dussehra ????????
This is not first time. Got Samosa without chutney ! Got COLD pav bhaji without onions. Samosas, when we order they had big samosa and pick up time they gave me small one bcz suddenly out of order. We had to do almost everything in garbage. “We just paid money for wait there and garbage the food .” I wish I could give minus star and don’t recommend to anyone.
Great experience . I have picked up my favourites: pattis , batatavada ,khamani , pavbhaji . I will give b/w 8-10/10 for all of them.this is the most recommend place for Gujarati food .
Shriji has the best samosa in GTA.The food is tasty and reasonable in rates. The only thing that they need to work on is the oil quality and proportion.
One of the most authentic place i have visited in Canada. Best food with quality and delivery with punctuality. Do try their Lassis, it’s just fantabulous!
Worst customer service. I ordered veg thali like this restaurant closes at 8 pm i was trying to call them they didn’t pick. And they finally picked at 7.24pm then I ordered thali he said we are closing in 5 minutes i said but you are closing at 8 pm then he said ok then come before 8 pm. I reached there 10 minutes before, then they said sorry nobody wrote your order and we don’t have any details of your order , like seriously. Then they said if you want thali we don’t have rice, I said ok give me whatever you have because i was getting late for my work. There was no lineup, no customer but people who are working there, they are doing nothing. Wastage of time and money.
I had been to this “Taste of India” food festival at Nathan Phillips Square on Aug 5 2019. As i lined up at Shriji’s stall for a vada pav, on reaching counter I got to know they didn’t accept visa or master-card, so i stepped aside to get the cash out of my bag and in the meanwhile ppl behind me started paying and placing their order. As soon as i got out the cash and handed him for my order, a lady behind [possibly italian] started yelling at me that I was not in line. Where as the owner knew that i had stepped aside for searching cash and i was in line some time back and had placed my order before her. As she started yelling at me that i am lieing, that i should be calm whereas no words were coming out of my mouth for her loud humiliation. I was feeling crushed n blamed for no reason. I am a quiet and soft person and she belittled me in front of the crowd and owner that i am a lier. But u know the worst part, the guy at the counter( owner i suppose), Indian, didn’t support his own countrymen, he handed me back my cash, he knew the truth that i had lined up, but our ppl never stand for us, i am not being racist here but he couldn’t even stand for the truth and gave away to a 6 ft loud mouthed dominating white lady. I felt bad and weeped a lot that my fellow Indian brushed me aside. No matter how tasty is your food I dint knew u guys are so money minded and lack a heart to acknowledge the truth. U know what “ What goes around comes around my friend”. Jaisi karni vaisi bharni.
Good place for pure vegetarian Tea is very good Mainly Gujarati food
Highly unprofessional and unethical Place. Food order in advance and they forget order and then other guy says they sold it to someone else. also they force you to pay cash with incentive of saving tax!!!
They served me scrap..got a stapler pin and hair in the food...it's high priced...not at all authentic gujarati food ...and they have "i don't care" attitude for customers..very rude and unwelcoming people.
Proper Indian food the food was good but the owner was rude to workers he was scolding the employees in front of customers and also was trying to beat them just watch for the crowd just heads up to the owner please don’t behave such in front of customers
Good quality and yummy taste with variety of Gujarati snacks and sweet. Gujarati Thali available.
good Indian food. the guy at the counter is always welcoming. i found this place hygienic and easy on pocket too. Aloo parathas are good. a bit spicy due to green chilies. food is fresh and tastes good.
It is very delicious and testi Indian Gujarati foods cuisine...
Good collection of Gujarati snacks and food.
If you love Gujrathi or Kathevadi thali you should visit this place (only on weekends). Nice snack option also available. You can have Samosa, Patice
Excellent Indian - Gujarati food, lots of varieties. Great choice for catering / takeout. Fresh food. Most of the items are available. Convenient location and lots of parking available.
Best place to get Gujrati food. Dhokla is so good, plus ppl behind the counter are nice and are respectful towards their customers
Very Disappointed. The food was so bad. I mean they gave us cold Pav bhavi like they just gave it from freezer. Samosa and Petis was without chutney. After that when we asked for chutney they just gave us spicy chutney not the sweet one. I won’t recommend this restaurant at all.
Delicious and fresh gujarati food with nice staff to serve you.
Good place to have authentic Gujarati snacks.
Nice gujarati food and snacks.Just a little oily sometimes but their rotis are the best and their thali is really good
Thank you so much for wonderful catering guys..????
Very good and reasonably priced hand made ghee smeared rotis. Just love it. Also very tasty veg dishes.
Vadapav 9/10 little bit spicy Kachori - 10/10 must try. Patties-5/10 do not try it. should be contain aloo mawa Samosa :- 8/10 chutney are good.
Food is flavorful and tasty but super oily like Subzi will be floating in oil like literally!! I wish they put less oil in the food!! Spicy samosa is the best in GTA in my opinion..all other snacks are also very good!! I would visit often if not for all the oil in subzi!!
You can find great Gujarati food.
I bought one khasta Kachori to try with some other food. I had it in my car just in front of the restaurant and OMG! It was sooooo delicious that I ordered three more. I had lasaniya bataka, gatta nu shak, and undhiyu at my home at Kitchener and I really miss that food. I wish it could open until 10 so I can buy more after finishing my work.
Great experience . I have picked up my favourites: pattis , batatavada ,khamani , pavbhaji . I will give b/w 8-10/10 for all of them.this is the most recommend place for Gujarati food .
packed wrong food item, and when called the store manager refused and abused back
Have been patronizing this outlet over many years. Regrettably quality of products have severely deteriorated. Yesterday purchased sweet were old and dried, snacks size reduced and freshness questionable. I have to think thrice to ever visit this place.
Should try to avoid this place. Lack of hygiene even during this period of Covid19. None of the employee was wearing gloves while handling the food. Employee was handling thepla with bare hands and thepla were kept on an open plastic rack to cool down. Cashier was handling Cash and was handling the food packets with the same hands. And when i asked to call a manager or owner even though he was there at the back employee at the front told he will not be able to come busy he was busy. Very bad experience at this place and very rude behaviour of the employee.
Excellent food, superb homely taste, always fresh ....
Droooooling,????, Yes this place will left you drooling worth their tasty and fingerlicious food. If you are true gujarati and love the gujarati food and snacks you should once visit this place. I ordered JalebiFafda- which was fresh and tasty. Also their snacks such as Gujarati Samosa, Lilvani Kachori, sadi Kachori, Vada were the best. Note: Must try their SHRIKHAND. OmG it will remind you the real taste from your back home. *Note: They offer daliy TIFFIN services in some areas pf Brampton. So if you are student way from home and if you miss the real gujarati food. This place is worth the try.
Average indian restaurant. Good for samosas
It used be one of the good restaurant for Indian Gujrati food. Food quality has gone down with time as it gets busy and same goes with customer service!
One can get pure Gujarati vegetarian food. Very reasonable rate. Its home made
Service
Best gujrati food ever....
One of most unprofessional and ridiculous people. The food quality is not at all authentic Gujarati and it’s very bad as well. Please don’t believe the “paid reviews” for this store.
Good Gujarati food available. Sunday special: Kathiawadi Thali
Best watidal khaman(surat one) in town, methi gota are ok, for gota Dinesh is best. Else Bataka puri and Patra are good.
SHRIKHAND AND MOTICHUR LADOO IS DELICIOUS FROM SHRIJI...
Very good place with tasty food and reasonable pricing... I would highly recommend this place... But its only vegetarian
From my experience, Expensive..Less quantity..Accepted only debit card..
If you're looking for a bloody amazing Kathiyawadi food, this is the place to be. We went there a couple of times when we were in Toronto and now this is the first place that occurs when we are visiting Toronto. Their Thali is a must try. It has two curries, rice/khichdi, dal/kadhi, farsaan, a sweet and roti/rotla. I love their "Olo" (roasted eggplant). And if you have rotla (Millet flat bread) with it, nothing better can exist. The other snacks are also worth trying. The seating space limited as most of their orders seems to be takeaways. The service is decently quick. Even if it is slow, the food is definitely worth the wait. There's plenty of parking outside and it's not crowded ever from what I've witnessed. There's an Indian grocery store one shop away from it, so it's a great place to combine your Indian grocery trip and lunch. Jul 2021 Update: So, they've remodeled the place and is more spacious now. More seating area (though dine-in was closed due to COVID). What hasn't changed, or perhaps improved, is the food quality. Still as mind-blowing as it can be. We went for Veg Thali (we went on a Saturday, so Kathiyawadi Thali wasn't available. It's available only on Sundays) with two sabzi of 1) Turiya-Patra and 2) Aloo. The taste was amazing. The "Peda" in the sweet was great as well. In addition, we went for Patra which they sell by weight. Mind-blowing too. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED
Meal type
Very bad quality food and service. I called them and placed order on phone and they said that food is ready you can come and pick it up. When we reached their nothing was ready and plus they gave us cold Pav bhaaji and no chutney with samosa. Very very disappointed. In my opinion, it is waste of money.
very rude staff and her name is sonal
Very good place with tasty food and reasonable pricing... I would highly recommend this place... But its only vegetarian
Tried the Gujarati thali on weekday quality and taste well maintained
Gujeati Samosas was good. If u r Punjabi you will barely like anything .
Take out
Excellent Indian - Gujarati food, lots of varieties. Great choice for catering / takeout. Fresh food. Most of the items are available. Convenient location and lots of parking available.
Never place order over the phone to shriji - I had bad experience with them taking order over the phone. I called them placed order for 2 for takeout — , they confirm the order however when I reached there there was no order prepared and the food was finished. Do not trust phone service with small takeout order- they don’t care ...!! Go personally for dining or takeout ..!! I wish their management/ customer service also would be better as their authentic gujrati food.
Best place for farsan ????????
Review write up is pending. Shortly write the review and explain why it's 1 star.
Authentic taste of GUJARATI Snax. Love their SAMOSA. Keep up the good taste????????
The food is good..the Gujarati samosas are worth a try. People are friendly n quick to serve.
Brought Fafda and dabeli yesterday ,I tried it first tym .Dabeli taste like old stuff and Fafda was tasteless .

awesome food and test full ????
Food is good but they always forget something to put in your take out. Ensure all stuff that have put in your pack.
Food tastes good! But found a little wire in the Gujarati daal in my recent take out
Awesome Gujarati food. Kathiyawadi lunch on sunday is a must try.
Authentic Gujarati taste ????
September 4 ,2021 This is perfect place for Gujarati food, we bring for 100 ppl. Food quality, quantity and presentation was very good. Price was also fare. Mix vegetable and paneer masala was little spicy, request to ask customer for their choice. Did talk to restaurant, staff is curtious and helpful, they will take care of future order. Nov 28 2021 : another excellent food and service
We regularly go to shriji for gujarati thali and snacks. We love the food and service is also good.
One of the best Kesar shrikhand. Samosas are also good.
It's your average everyday place specializing in Gujarati food. Certainly not worth the 5 stars & all the hype around it but not as bad as the 1 star reviews either.
Our visit today was a take out.we picked up kachori lilva and pakora. For 15 kachori we were only give one green and red chutney. This does not make any sense. Very disappointed.
Lile indian munchkin must try
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! The people are HIGHLY unprofessional and rude. Orders are messed up. They do not live up to their promises. I had my orders messed up twice and when we called to tell them about the mess up they failed to acknowledge the mistake and told us that we never ordered the dish. and FORGET about getting a refund. They hung up on me when I called to tell them about the screw up! I would never order food with these people agaib
I will never go there ever now ! I called to place order and they said they have khaman and samosas ready, don’t need to order just come and pick up. When I went there (in 3-5 mins) they got no khaman and samosas. WASTED MONEY. Don’t recommend to anyone !
Best Indian Gujarati food. Pavilion bhaji is amazing. Original guju made with many options.
Authentic Gujarati Taste with great service and great price!! Must try their tea at least... ????
Only Gujarati Restaurent in Toronto should not get credit for unhealthy and stale food. Food does not last long even if it is stored in low temperature and air-vaccummed at home. They should change their storage facility or should not store pre-cooked vegetables for a longer amount of time in their facility.
Please check your bill and now days they have got more customers so they think they can do whatever they wants.size of dabeli is so small .
Taste same as indian taste. Sooo good and delicious. ????
Worst service, 5 minutes turn into half sn hour, they have no sence of first come first serve, their samosas are good but they flatly say they ran out of them. And yeah most importantly they can tell you we're closed anytime of the day. Ignorance and negligence at its best.
Best source of Gujarati food and snacks.
Best place for gujarati snacks
One of the most authentic place i have visited in Canada. Best food with quality and delivery with punctuality. Do try their Lassis, it’s just fantabulous!
First time tried this with a takeout. Have tried Vada pav, disappointed with taste, smell. Nowhere close to the authentic vadapav. Pav was dry, the vada coating was also dry and seemed torn. Felt like as if it was stale, prepared and packed couple of days back. Not appealing and repeating this order. Chilly pakodas were nice.
Taking forever to deliver chai! Been 20mins and waiting. Just OK food and I didn't like it
I ordered khasta kachori and I loved it!!
Who takes 25 mins in making tea ?????
Worst experience with them. Driving 95 kms for food was completely disappointing. Ordered 4 samosa they gave us only 2. Ordered 3 fixed plate but they didn’t gave us rice and farsan. Store closing time is 8 PM but they didn’t took any order after 7:30PM.They took like 25 mins to prepare our pavbaji and they literally dumped a lot of leftover food in garbage such a huge disrespect of food and left our order incomplete. Unprofessional place. Talking about taste it was decent but I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Great hygiene, delicious food and excellent prices. I love this place.
Meal type
Shrikhand is just the quality I was looking for.
This is a great eatery and one of the hidden gems of Brampton, they serve pretty good gujrati food.
We ordered some food items which tasted ok, however there was one item missing in our order. As soon as we realized this we called the restaurant. After speaking with someone over the phone they kept me on hold for 5 mins, then I tried to calling multiple times but nobody answered my phone. To conclude food is ok, but customer service is not great at all.
Service is not good, but day by day food Quality is also became poor...never refer to any friend... test is not same...each and every time you will get different test... very poor...they don't respect customer and charging whatever they want.
Homely food
Service
Sharing a recent take out experience. Customer service is pathetic. We've been made to wait for more than 15 minutes to pickup the order which is already ready and we could see in the counter with the order name!! After patiently waiting for 15 minutes, requested the cashier to get a snack to purchase over the counter. The person checking out got angry and uttered "Oh man". We understand they are super busy at times! But isn't that customer service comes at top priority for a restaurant!! Hope management addresses such behaviour.
Take out
Tried to place an order, the guy rudely told me he wouldn’t take an order from me and hung up. He just lost $150 Order because we were planning to order quite a bit of other stuff had he let us finish. Decent food. Not worth the horrible service!
Khagesh Bhatt Ajax Very Happy with food quality and quantity. Excellent service. Food was ready right in time. ????????
We ordered Undhiyu thru Uber eats and asked to put some Muthia and they did not even put a single one... This time I went there place order and asked to please put some Muthia, but when I open the container, there was not even a signal one. Even they packed 2 samosas less and we had o go back to get them.
