Cornbread is a must. Be careful when deciding your selection of meat for the combo though. I selected a fried chicken for a combo and got only one piece of that on the platter and pricewise it was worse off than ordering items separately

Fantastic food- we had the pulled pork sandwich, deep-fried pickles, pork belly, cornbread and slaw, everything was fantastic. The homemade bbq sauces are super tasty, the bourbon cocktails were great, the service was super friendly and not in your face. Great experience!

We took the 15-20 min walk from our hotel based on the google reviews and boy am I glad, the food was really good. As you can see we went with the 3 meat & 3side combo which my husband and I shared, the waitress somehow mixed up and gave us a corn on the cob when I asked for corn bread but what you do not see is that she brought over 2 white buns so the mix up worked well. While they ran out of the smoked chicken which was disappointing the rest made up for that, we opted to pay the $10 additional charge (combo 3/3 was like $37.99 +10 ) for the brontosaurus beef rib which was deliciously good it is pricey! Service was good and we would eat here again

Passed by this place so many times and after a movie night finally decided to try this place ( it's walking distance from the Cineplex Forum). I was pleasantly surprised, the food was delicious and the service was really fast. There are a variety of choices on the menu and the portions are more than sufficient. I chose the combo n#1 which includes two choices of meat and side dish plus fries and bread. Needless to say, I brought leftovers home and they were as delicious the next day even after being reheated. Definitely recommend this quaint little spot.

I went there for the first time for poutine week and it was overall a good experience. I was already familiar with their foodtruck and just love their food. The ribs are phenomenal and the poutines as well.The poutines are pretty big for the price.The inside of the restaurant is quite rustic and charming. It really gives you southern vibes which is great. The reason why they're not getting 5 stars is because after we were brought to our table it took quite some time for someone to bring water and take our orders. When we were done with our poutines i asked for the brownie which the waitress forgot and simply brought our checks and i had to ask about the brownie since it wasn't included on the receipt. She apologized and i got the brownie & a new tab. Other than that the service was great, the waitress was very nice. I recommend this spot.

I went to this restaurant with my family of five on a Saturday, (half empty) the waiters didn't even bother to seat us even though the sign at the front said to wait for a waiter to seat us. The waiters didn't come so we had to ask if we could be seated, they then pointed us to a table right next to the bathrooms. Once seated it took a good 10 minutes for the staff to realize our presence. The waiter finally came to take our order with the least amount of happiness possible. she brought me a vanilla milkshake ( I originally ordered a chocolate milkshake) I asked her if she had taken my order correctly and she checked the menu, left then came back with chocolate syrup and asked me if it was ok to put the syrup on top. So far I've stated how horrible the staff is but there's more even though you're already convinced it's a horrible place to eat The food was bad, my family had ordered a bit of everything so I got a taste of whatever they had and it was bad. I would have rather gone and get a Big Mac from Mc Donald's even though I love pulled pork and bbq foods. Finally the cleanliness and hygiene First off none of the cooks had hairnets OR GLOVES I'm sure that's illegal on many deferent levels. second, the place was disgusting. the bathrooms were right next to our table where we were eating the people who walked out of the bathrooms came close to our table just to give a perspective of how disgusting it was If u ever think of going there which would be the stupidest thing you've ever done please re read my review

Went in on Sunday evening pretty early. Place was quiet. Service was prompt and attentive. Had brisket and chicken, both really flavour full and tender. Good sauces. Had the Smoking BBQ house beer which went down well.

I tried their ribs at the ribfest when it was in Old Montreal and they were awesome! I was a bit disappointed with their pulled pork poutine though. The meat was dry. Take note that before they let anyone sit in the restaurant area, you'll have to order up front fist. I hope they changed this policy. I prefer to sit first, then order.

Food came after almost an hour and was really cold. The coleslaw was really bland and the potato salad was just a bowl of unseasoned potatoes. The chicken wings were really tasty and smoky but otherwise the meat was pretty bland and needed a lot of sauce. Pulled pork was really dry. The food would be a lot better if it was hot.

I've been eating here on and off for about a year and I was very pleased with the service and quality of food. Recently, It's been really disappointing. I usually order a sausage poutine or a pulled pork poutine with cornbread. The last few times I ordered, my poutine barely had any sauce or cheese and I also didn't get a full sausage which I was used to getting every other time; I got 3 small pieces of sausage. Considering the price for a poutine with meat compared to one without and then not getting much at all, it's terribly disappointing. I decided to start getting the pulled pork poutine and that was terrible, very little sauce/cheese and I just got gross fatty pieces that were really dry; hence the lack of sauce to begin with. The one upside of this place is, they can make a great cornbread. When I first started eating here the cornbread wasn't very good and soggy, they definitely figured out how to make it better. I used to love this place but my last few orders have been a waste of money. For the price, I'm expecting a lot more. Let me make this clear, I used to have no issue with my orders and would get a full poutine, with all the meat included with sufficient sauce/cheese. This place was my go to place for poutine, I just don't appreciate the inconsistent quality. The server at the cash was very rude; I'm not sure if that played into my order not being complete. That doesn't explain the other times. Their other items are great but I wouldn't suggest getting a poutine.

The BBQ here is the top one in Montreal, and the meat is very juicy and outside is crisp. The taste is also delicious. The waitress is extremely friendly. However it takes time for waiting the BBQ, it's worth to waiting actually. The environment here is also relaxing, the old style American country music is around my ears during the night. Their food truck attended the Laval Poutine fest and I opted for their combo bacon and Italian sausage poutine. This was my kind of gastronomic poutine! Their signature BBQ sauce complimented well a hearty and delicious poutine with generous amounts of bacon and Italian sausage. This $13 meal was my lunch and dinner as it stuffed me to the rafters. The poutine was very solid and the fries was just right. Good price, good food. A food truck to come back to in the future when opportunity presents itself.

Couple examples: - It took 2.5 hrs to get our order (poutine and a sausage)when the restaurant wasn't that busy. - I saw the waitress take our order to two different tables before ours. Both tables looking equally frustrated/hangry as they were waiting for a long time as well (everyone seemed to be). That said, the playlist was great. The store was well decorated. The food was absolutely delicious. Added bonus, owners also seem to genuinely care and respond to customer complaints. It could have just been an off night. We will definitely check it out again in the future.

We were a group of 16 people who went to Smoking BBQ with high expectations after hearing such great things. Unfortunately, the wait for the food was extremely long & when some of us did receive our food, it was cold. To make matters worse, there was a mix-up with one of the plates given, so we had to send it back only to have them take it to the kitchen, make us wait & bring it that exact same plate to someone else from our table where there was clearly a bite taken out of the ribs from the person who initially was given the plate. When we brought this to our waitress attention, she quickly responded that they had ran out of ribs to justify what had just happened. She offered to change the plate, since there were no more ribs left, but no apologies whatsoever for giving a plate that was previously chewed. When it came time to pay, still no apologies were offered by the waitress. Instead she blamed the cooks for the incident & continued to argue that it was not a big deal since the person who had chewed the food from the plate they tried to give back was within our group. This is unacceptable!!! The lack of customer service & overall quality of the food isn’t enough to make us come back here EVER.

For 14 bucks, you get a ton of meat so overall quite a good meal. Tip: for McGill/Concordia students, you can get a discount on the pulled pork sandwich for 3.99 instead of 7.99

From the moment we walked in to when we first received food, we had already waited 1 and a half hour. Not off to a strong start. I had ordered the ribs, and tried the grilled cheese. The ribs were half burnt and cold, but taste wise were decent. The grilled cheese on the other hand was an eyesore. One single piece of pork laid atop a hard bed of cheese, barely covering half the sandwich. How can you have a grilled cheese with non-melted cheese? All in all, it was a disappointing experience for our entire group.

Very tasty food here. The prices are reasonable for the most part except I found the drinks very over priced. The deal breaker for me here would be that there is no air conditioning, or at least there wasn't when we visited. The waiter said they were working on it but it made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. Food came after almost an hour and was really cold. The coleslaw was really bland and the potato salad was just a bowl of unseasoned potatoes. The chicken wings were really tasty and smoky but otherwise the meat was pretty bland and needed a lot of sauce. Pulled pork was really dry. The food would be a lot better if it was hot.

Bad management Dear Owner my daughter called two days before we went to reserve food as the last time we went there was no pork belly, no brisket and more missing. A lady said no problem took her order as we were having family come from out of town and we wanted to make sure there would be all the food available. Upon arrival, the ac was broken. We asked for the meat that was put aside from the call we made 2 days prior they said they had no notes nor had any informed them. We asked to speak to the manager who wasn't there. They called him and asked for him to get there. Arnaud came about 20 minutes later at which point we hadn't received any water and they had run out of ice on one of the extremely hot day the first week of July. Arnaud the manager showed up and seems irritated has he started yelling at his staff. My daughter spoke to him and asked where was the meat she had specifically called for. He said it was his fault as he forgot to tell them at the restaurant. Now our entire family was there at party of 7 people with once again pork belly, brisket and many other meats missing. He said he will give a free rack of ribs which was nice. But at that point we were trying the understand what had happened and that we brought our family here when there weren't many options. The manager in a rude tone said "it's a hot day you think I want to deal with this, I want to be at home taking a cold shower. I offered you a free rack and you're complaining. Don't you know how restaurants work we can't keep meat for you". My daughter responded by tell him she appreciated the free rack but they should never have told her they could keep the meat for us if that is never a possibility. It was an unpleasant experience with him and we say him yelling at the chefs behind the counter which was very unprofessional. We were very disappointed. A man like that, should not be the face that represents a what we thought was a good restaurant before this. We was also rude to a group of girls have their bachelorette dinner there. Not okay.

The food is really tasty and affordable but omg, I've been there 3 times and last Saturday was the worst. The service is so bad! I feel like they're always understaffed... We waited almost an hour for our food, because a group of 20 people was there. If you can't deal groups, don't accept them!!! I ordered 2 rib poutine and a smoke sausage. One poutine had two very small bones I almost chipped my tooth. The ribs were cold and had zero flavour the fries were not cooked enough. Two poutine cost 32 dollars that should be illegal... The sausage was barely a 6 out of 10 and the poutine was 4 out of 10 I do not recommend. I really don't understand how people rate this place so hi. It truly inspires me to open my own truck because I know my cooking beats this Hands down.

Great place for BBQ craving. After a great experience with their food truck near work, my friends and i decided to go feast tonight and boy was it a good call. Super happy with the experience, our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable advised us in advance that they sold out the pork belly. I've been to many BBQ places and this one is by far the best. My boyfriend and I shared the 4 meats and 3 sides. We got pulled pork, beef brisket, pork ribs, pork belly, coleslaw, baked beans, and cornbread. It also came with buns, pickled onions, and homemade pickles. All of this for only $29.99. We could only finish half of it and it was AMAZING!!! Every single thing on that plate was excellent! It is exactly what a good BBQ place should be. The service was also outstanding. Long wait and not the best bbq food I've had. The food was not very hot by the time it got to the table which made the meat rather dry. Portions are not too terrible, so you do get a decent portion. There are significantly better bbq places in the old port which offer a much better experience.

Le Smoking Barbe-Que is a must go for all Barbe-Que and Smoker enthusiasts! Had an absolute blast there , they loaded up the table and couldn't have been any nicer! Chef Sandro stuffed us with Ribs, chicken , Pork Belly , Brisket (none of that steamed meat, real deal Brisket), mac and cheese, there country wide winning poutine and all the fixings! And all this was brought to us by Lawrence one of the hardest working (and a great sport) waitresses on the Island! Take your friends and family you won't regret it!

They call themselves American BBQ but clearly no one has visited an American BBQ joint. Service was terrible and do not bother ordering the bourbon pecan pie!!! It's a processed tart from Costco or something like that and it's the size of a postage stamp. Sauces we're unique and it's why I gave it 2 stars but the portions are too small and too inconsistent. My wife and I both ordered brisket and got different quantities. And for some unknown reason there is no Mac and cheese side dish ever, and there was no potato salad available during my visit. We had the "Le Smoking" platter, which includes 2 regular poutines, a pound of meats of your choice (each choice of meat by the 1/4 pound), a full rack of pork ribs, 3 sides of your choice and 4 bread buns. We chose brisket, pulled pork, sausage, chicken, beans, coleslaw and potato salad. Poutine has better fries than most places, ok sauce and a nice helping of cheese curds. Quite large portion. The concept seems to be you taste the meats on top of it and/or the bread of it as base dishes. As for the meats -I mean all of them- they were tender, nicely cooked and not dry, but they sadly lacked the smoky taste we were expecting from a BBQ place. Too subtle and no smoke ring to talk about. It was as if they were cooked low and slow in an oven and finished by being smoked on a weak essence of wood (I would guess maple) for a very short time. About the sides: the beans were pretty good and also contained a fair amount of meat; the coleslaw, although creamy, lacked seasoning and a bit of acidity; the potato salad was kind of bland apart from the bacon and green onion topping; the breads seemed freshly made and were ok. Service was nice and friendly. No A/C inside the restaurant (or it was off, on a 30C evening with the ovens/smokers not helping) so it's good they have a small terrace outside. All in all ok but probably won't go back. UPDATE/Answer to owner's commentary: I stand corrected about the lack of a smoke ring necessarily meaning a really short smoking time, thanks for sharing the info. I have now changed my rating to 3 stars as I admit I initially gave 2 stars a bit hastily as I was disappointed of the milder than expected/desired level of smokiness, which in the end is a matter of personal preference.

Just left this place and have truly never had such a bad experience at a restaurant. There were a group of 9 of us that ate here and only 3 people got their order correctly. One meal didn’t come until the rest of the group was paying and it came incorrect, another was not even punched in so she didn’t get her meal either. The remainding meals were incorrect and often excessively late. Not to mention there was no air conditioning so when we finally left, we all looked like we were stuck in a bad thunderstorm due to profuse sweating. The heat also sent one of our guests home early because she was feeling sick. After speaking with the manager about the poor experience, he explained that we needed to be understanding because his staff were new and it was a hot day. He also shared a piece of advice: that we shouldn’t change anything on the menu (since one of our friends has celiac disease and thus couldn’t eat the gravy). Due to the arrogance of the staff, the manager’s inability to appropriately respond to guest concerns and the terrible environment, we will never be Back.

1. No air conditioning 2. Food took over an hour to come, all at different times 3. 6 out of 9 orders were completely wrong and the waitress mixed up orders 4. Owner would not refund the meals that came with the wrong/ missing ingredients. 5. Owner is very rude HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

Really disappointing. We ordered 2 rib poutines and a sausage. Most of the fries were under cooked, the ribs were very dry and not very flavorful at all My boyfriends poutine even had pieces of bone in it! The sausage wasn't that great either. $38 and neither of us ate half our meals. I would pass on this food truck and try one of the many other food trucks instead. Overpriced and disappointing

A new discovery for me and my friend M; has a western saloon feel to the place. Food was not disappointing; the brisket nachos were really good and plentiful, the pulled pork sandwich was really good as well but fairly typical. Fries were our veg of choice and did not disappoint. Overall a welcome addition to an area that really needs it.

Went once to check it out, between 6-7 weekday. The decor was nice, it was pretty empty and, well... what can it hurt. What followed was the realization that either they weren't prepared or I wasn't : (Before I even got the food!!... ) My debit card was handled with barbecue sauce fingers -- and, forget if you can, the standard of hygiene this suggests. Although they advertise Wi-Fi, the manager(?) was instructing his employees not to give the Wi-Fi password "à moins qu'ils insistent vraiment" //unless the clients really insited// I still asked for the password (I'm a student "treating myself" to a meal out but I still very much had a paper due and did come, in part to eat and work) and was made to wait while they discussed their weekend or wtv until the 15 minute mark when I asked again -- again, it was empty and they had 3-4 people behind the counter-- to no avail. The food came first and then the man came with a password. He asked to see all the available hotspots and than told me it wasn't showing up and that I should try every now and again to refresh. That I was both picking up the Wi-Fi from college lasalle, not 2 blocks away would suggest it mightn't have been my laptop but he insisted that it was... "continue à chequer, ça marche" //keep looking, it works//. I told my colleagues not to bother coming after 10 frustrating minutes of cackling employees, refreshing the Wi-Fi and some form of stale cheese substance. I got up and left. There's waaaaaaaaay too many better restaurants in the area for them to get a second chance, and, having worked in the food industry for 5 years , I can say wholeheartedly that the neighboring eateries just care more and deserve more of your curiosity than this joke.

Staff friendly. Food amazing. We got the pork rib poutine and the brisket poutine. I liked the pork poutine more because I wanted the bbq sauce. They don't put bbq sauce on the brisket one but it still tasted good. They had tobasco, siracha, spicy bbq sauce and regular bbq sauce bottles on the table. I just took the bbq sauce and spicy bbq sauce and put it all over my beef brisket poutine. It tasted awesome. They have plenty of seating and they can make you a shirly temple. They also have lemonade and pink lemonade if you are interested as well as desserts.

Waited over an hour for the food. It was cold when it finally came. The food itself was tasty enough but couldn't get past the temperature of it. Waiter was also very slow and we had to ask each time to have our water refilled. I'm shocked this place has such a high rating, I was pretty disappointed. Poutine is just fine at the FOOD TRUCKs, mirabel! A few things to the managment: 1- “wet” brown rolling paper is cleaning surfaces not your mouth. Customers are payig premium for your poutine! 2- Cashier girl, handing forks holding by the tip with greasy hands. Hope you improve, until then, your competitor just gained one more client!

You can't beat the ribs, they are perfect each time. The 5x5 platter was a lot for 2 ppl. The cornbread is great, but so filling, I recommend splitting it so you have room for everything. I've been back many times.

Food was delicious! The ribs had a ton of meat on them and didn't even need sauce (I hate chinsy meatless ribs). Brisket was good and I'm not a brisket guy. Mac and cheese waffles were ok, but a little dry. But the cornbread was out of this world! I would go back just for them!! I highly recommend this place. The employees are nice and friendly, and the food was delicious. Prices were reasonable as well, and they had a few student specials. Since moonshine closed, I've been looking for another good smokehouse and I really like this one!
