The venue is okay but don't expect to be right by the bay. There is an entire street of houses between the venue and the bay. On the other hand the food is amazing!!

We just had our son's wedding at Occasions By The Bay and the entire experience from start to finish was awesome. Billy-Jo and staff are so good at what they do; we did not have to worry about a thing. The grounds looked gorgeous, the service was beautiful in a lovely outdoor setting, the food was delicious, the service amazing and the staff friendly and courteous. I want to do it all over again!

Attended a wedding recently and Billy and her staff were simply amazing. The outside venue was beautiful and the staff were extremely excellent serving the food promptly and clearing dishes. The apps were fantastic but the roast beef meal was extremely under par. It was sliced so thin I thought it was deli meat. Otherwise great overall.

I had been the organist at Julie and Ian's marriage ceremony and then joined them for their reception. The decor was exquisite. I love how the sparkly lights were captured in the sheer fabrique. The draping of the sheer material from the ceiling was magical. The meal was done just right; buffet style was handled very well by the staff.

Went for my colleague Kevin Joseph Parsons wedding. It was ok. I was on call with work so i was unable to fully enjoy the acolholic beverages. I really needed to not be sober for this event. I would reccomend this place for a wedding venue especially for people of Newfoundland descent. However labradorians may not find this place acceptable.

Great workplace party. Dinner was phenomenal and the staff was attentive and polite. Interior/bathrooms were clean well appointed. Did not experience the exterior. If the dinner wasn't an hour late, it would have been a 5/5. I will return.

The only reason they even get one star at this point is because i cant write a review otherwise. It all started great. The coordinatpr seemed amazing. The place was great. Then after our initial $1000 deposit was paid it seemed the coordinator didnt care anymore. Never answering us, giving us quotes for the wrong packages. Saying she didnt have access to the linens and decor we wanted to see. Whenever we wanted to go see the hall there was always a reason we could not go in. We were also told that since our wedding was relatively small there would not be much food. When we talked to the owner about this we were basically told that it was our fault that we didn't get the service we were promised. He also consitently threw thinly veiled insults amd jabs toward us. We have pushed our wedding date back to next year now because of the hall, seeing as we could get absolutely nothing planned with them. All in all a horrid experience.

Fantastic venue for a special event! A cousins wedding brought me to this hidden gem. The wedding was held outside on the beautiful grounds. Reception and dinner were inside the hall, the staff were very professional and accommodating to our needs. Excellent experience! It is on highway 2 just east of Trenton, there is only 1 small sign, the actual property is behind the RV dealership.

I can honestly say that as a guest at a wedding, the outside looked pretty drab. Not much was going on and the entrance is through and RV dealership. However, walk inside those front doors and prepare to be blown away! It was gorgeous on the inside. If my pictures were not purely selfies in that building I would have posted them here on this review.

I have been to Occasions by the Bay a multiple times for a variety of events. It is a beautiful venue and I have always thoroughly enjoyed the meals and the service. The decor is always classy and elegant and this is the perfect location for a mid size event (50-80 people maybe?) in need of a tasteful venue.

Words cannot truly express how incredible Occasions by the Bay is! We had our wedding in July 2021 after having to postpone last year and Val and the staff at Occasions worked with us through every bit of the crazy journey. The food is outstanding, there are many locations inside and outside the venue that are stunning for photos, the staff is all very friendly and accommodating, and we truly did have the best day ever! All of our family and friends have had nothing but complementary feedback and are still raving about the whole experience. Thanks again Occasions!

My husband and I got engaged in August 2019 and set our date for October 13th 2019. With a short engagement we were worried about getting everything done in time but Val made everything so easy and we had the most incredible wedding. All 100 of our guests were absolutely blown away by the food and décor. We could not have been happier with how our wedding day unfolded. We HIGHLY recommend Occasions by the Bay for your wedding. We also highly recommend a short engagement. It was so great to go with our gut on all the details of our wedding and in the end it was even better than we expected. I have lived in the Quinte Region for over 30 years and have used the services of many local businesses. Without a doubt the owners and staff of Occasions By The Bay stand head and shoulders above the competition with their stellar customer service, attention to detail and of course their amazing food and venue. Our most recent experience with Occasions was for my sons wedding this fall. The function was held in Prince Edward County in a local winery. Given the distance from Occasions I was wondering how the challenging logistics of getting hot quality food from their location to the venue was going to "come off" Suffice it to say - the food was amazing and was the hit of the evening. Furthermore, the owners of Occasions assisted the staff of the winery who had challenges of their own. All in all this function, and others we have been involved with, could not have been better thanks to the owners and staff of Occasions By The Bay.

Occasions by the Bay was an amazing location to have our wedding. The venue offered a variety of packages that allowed us to perfectly plan our event. The décor was absolutely breathtaking and to top it all off the staff was amazing. Valerie Stire was an incredible wedding coordinator. She made preparing for the big day effortless. Even after we arrived late and had a dress malfunction she made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. Thank you for all your help Val! We would also like to thank the catering staff, bartender and Roxy. The food was amazing, the drinks were well crafted and Roxy thank you for helping guide my emcee through the night. If we had the choice to do it all over again we would choose Occasions by the Bay! Thank you!

Val was an angel during our entire wedding planning process, making everything so easy and stress-free. She was always so quick to answer any emails/questions I had! On the day of the wedding, she was so on the ball, making sure everything ran smoothly and on time! I will recommend Val and Occasions by the Bay to anyone I know planning a wedding or event! Had a work Christmas dinner at Occasions and it was wonderful. There was 10 in our party, which coincided with the local health regulations. Each person had their own large table and we were 6ft apart so it was great! I'm a vegan but we have a varied group, Occasions was easily able to cater to our requests and everyone enjoyed their meal.

The day was fulfilled beyond our wildest dreams - Valerie was so helpful on and leading up to the big day, the food was beyond delicious (highly recommend their sticky toffee pudding cake by the way!), the staff were so professional and helpful, our decor was set up exactly how we wished for it to be, and their coordination with all of our vendors was incredible. We were at the Wheelchair of Hope event last night at the National Airforce Museum and Occassions by the Bay were catering. The meal was fabulous as usual. Billie-Jo pays attention to the smallest details making sure that all the guests are well looked after. Their staff are courteous and professional. We had our teenage grandson and his friend with us and on our way home they were commenting on the great meal. Thanks for making a already special evening even more so????

We had our Sunday brunch wedding there the past weekend and everything was FANTASTIC, I cannot say enough good things about the venue, staff and food at Occasions! We had so many compliments on the food (specifically the ham), and how beautiful the venue was, the staff (especially Valerie!!) were very easy to work with, and they even made fruit centrepieces especially for us that turned out amazing. 10/10 would recommend for any function.
